The concept of SOCOM Tactical Strike is remarkably cool, and when the controls aren't getting in the way, it's a pretty fun game.

At the end of the day, Harry Potter Kinect provides a fun but short main campaign that is great in small bursts.

It puts at least a cherry on the "vanillafication" that was Generals.

Hard Reset isn't a bad game, but it's rote old school sensibility has passed me by. I don't have the same kind of reflexes I did 5 or 10 years ago to properly appreciate the twitch elements, so maybe I have to take some responsibility on that front. For me, Hard Reset is unremarkable because it seems about 5 years too late for me.

All in all, Medal of Honor: Airborne brings a sense of authenticity and realism with a tinge of the arcade to a simulation of a daring period in American military history.

In the end, I found myself sticking to the story mode more than anything (which was short, but decent enough), but I just couldn't get into the game. I have to commend Spike on replicating the look of the anime, but I felt I was left with a shallow experience. Hardcore DBZ fans will probably find it the game worth it and battling fellow fans online might be a good way to pass the time.

It looks good and it feels good at points but I'm afraid its shortcomings are going to make it a forgotten title.

It is a little too derivative of the better games in the genre, a little too short and a little too easy.

It is quite satisfying to power your way through the technology developments but having to do this over and over again, loses its entertainment value.

2010 has been a busy year for the racing genre with games such as Need For Speed, Blur and GT5 all being released this year. SVR does little to separate itself from the competition and that's where it ultimately falls flat.

If you are a big DBZ fan you've probably already picked this title up. If not, give it a try first before you take it home forever.

The game is competent but not compelling, adequate but not outstanding. Unless you are a big Michael Jackson fan it's a rental at best. Unless you can find that version with the glove. Now that will provide hours of fun and amusement.

However, if you loved last year’s Crash of the Titans or are a grade school-gamer with a love of offbeat humour, this game may just appeal to you.

The enemy AI is predictable, typically running straight at Jack; ordering Shadow around is hit and miss; there's zero help when it comes to targeting enemies (i.e. no lock-on function); and the animation can be disjointed and completely bizarre.

Hardcore action players will be able to blow through El Matador in six or seven hours because the gameplay and level design are very straightforward; it can't measure up to the most current titles or the promise of upcoming titles like John Woo Presents Stranglehold.

Unlike the memorable Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings film trilogy (which are used to provide Lord of the Rings: Conquest’s cut-scenes), this newest EA Lord of the Rings title is more like the latest summer blockbuster: fun for the short time it lasts, but instantly forgettable once it’s over.

Dragon Ball Raging Blast is for the die-hard fans and only for the die-hards. I use to be obsessed with DBZ when I was younger, but have moved on since and consider myself just a casual fan and that's not a good enough of a reason to buy this game.

Repetition aside, Rabbids Go Home is still a worthy title just short of becoming a Wii classic.

Like its Wii counterpart, the game is adequate but not outstanding.

Diddy Kong Racing DS ends up being a slightly above average racing game. If you are expecting to find a better time than Mario Kart here, keep looking.

I can’t help but weep a little for what could have been if they’d just included some multiplayer gameplay, though.

Manages to be an average action game but a great translation of Wolverine in his first starring game on this generation of consoles. For that alone it’s probably worth a look.

The main components of the Spider-Man 3 – the fighting, the webslinging in a wide-open environment, lots of villains – are spot on but most everything else just feels somewhat incomplete or at least unpolished, particularly the story.

All things considered, SimCity may have just been too big to fit on a handheld. That said, if you can cope with the limitation of one save slot and some small text and graphics, SimCity DS might be worth it check out.

Blood Stone is a solid Bond title and an improvement over Quantum of Solace, but at the same time, it lacks any real substance. The short campaign and lackluster multiplayer make this title more worthy of a possible rental than a purchase.

The competition this year is far too talented and the upper tier of baseball games on the PS2 this year relegates MLB 2004 to a last-place finish.

Has its ups and downs, but overall it plays like a mediocre platformer.

A solid game that gets bogged down far too often to be considered great.
