In short, the game delivers what I would have expected. It’s an average title at best, appealing to the biggest ABBA fans.- Armchair Empire

This is a game that requires so much studying and preparation, that only those hard-core RTS gamers that really enjoyed SimCity or Civilization may want to give this everybody-wants-to-rule-the-world strategy game a try.- Armchair Empire

Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters isn’t a bad game (even if the camera is troublesome), but judging by the forum feedback and general critical feedback it doesn’t seem to hit the same high water marks the other games have, which is likely why I can only see completionists grabbing a copy.- Armchair Empire

There is very little reason to own this game. There are simply much better street racing games on the market, more worthy of your money.- Armchair Empire

For its genre, Project Sylpheed: Arc of Deception is a decent game. You just have to wonder if this style of game went the way of the TRS-80 and Sega CD – dead but fondly remembered.- Armchair Empire

All in all, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast is like a steak that sizzles and looks great but tastes as if they cooked all the flavor out in the pan.- Armchair Empire

There's nothing that Nostalgia does that's explicitly bad - the storyline isn't great and the writing is drab, but it's serviceable, and the battle system is solid without doing anything really interesting.- Armchair Empire

Spectrobes takes too long to get going – the digging is a novelty that wears off way too soon – and the lack of puzzles and/or interesting side plots and quests kneecap the experience.- Armchair Empire

A serviceable expansion pack but casual fans need not apply as it can in no way be considered essential to the original.- Armchair Empire

Both the exasperating controls and misuse of resources can be unforgiving and crippling to the gameplay progress, but careful and patient gamers that acclimate to both will find an amazing survivor-horror story with plenty of hours of gameplay.- Armchair Empire

It may have the flashiest graphics, it may present all sorts of new gameplay innovations, and it may have an engrossing story, but without accessible and reliable controls… you don’t have a game that’ll keep you coming back for the pure enjoyment of it.- Armchair Empire

Kill Team's campaign is quite short and can be frustrating at times. Once your done the campaign, there are collectables to be found in each of the game's levels, but those alone aren't reason enough to play through the game again. Even though Kill Team is only $10.00, the game suffers from too many problems and your money is best spent elsewhere.- Armchair Empire

Baja: Edge of Control is a decent off-road racer with a healthy amount of vehicles, tracks, and options to keep racer fans happy, but ultimately it offers nothing that hasn’t been seen or perfected in other racing games, past or present.- Armchair Empire

Traveller’s Tales have been making good games for years – but they’ve also had some stinkers and unfortunately, this one lies somewhere in the middle. While it’s not a bad game, there are too many shortcomings that keep it from greatness.- Armchair Empire

Unfortunately, while the game mechanics and interesting mix of units would, in theory, allow for some good old-fashioned combined arms tactics, in practice, the most effective strategy is rushing the objective blindly, blasting anything in the way – which is much less fun than it sounds.- Armchair Empire

Although I wasn’t one of the many that figured Blazing Angels to be the spiritual successor to "Crimson Skies," I did expect a bit more than just an average experience peppered with frustration and a poorly thought out control scheme.- Armchair Empire

A few fresh ideas, but unfortunately they’re buried under a lot of old, archaic pieces of gameplay that really should have been fazed out a long time ago all crammed into a slow plodding package.- Armchair Empire

Like most RPG’s, you’re going to get a lot of hours of gameplay out of this one. You can expect to take your party of six out for forty or fifty hours before you’re done. The problem is there are a lot better options out there and so this one just ends up being average.- Armchair Empire

For all it's faults, Blacklight certainly has the potential to be a great little game. If it can overcome the shortcomings of its design by adding on to it, and if it can get a much larger and more active player base, it could be a viable contender to Modern Warfare 2. Until that happens, however, it's not quite good enough to outright recommend, nor bad enough to outright dismiss.- Armchair Empire

The single-player game is so easy as to be boredom inducing. As a multiplayer game, it shines but is marred by a limited number of boards.- Armchair Empire

As a stealth game, Tenchu Z hits the right notes with all the creeping around and silent killing, so it'll likely offer a few thrills for fans of the genre. But since it lacks useful "stand-up and fight" mechanics any casual players will likely suffer boredom with all the careful sneaking around through drab environments.- Armchair Empire

Simply put, if you're not a fan of the genre, then Phantasy Star Portable 2 isn't for you. If you have been a fan for this long, then the good news is that there's more missions and loot for you to spend the next few weeks collecting, as well as a fully online multiplayer that's both functional as well as free. Whether you'll find an audience of fellow PSP players connected at the same time, however, is almost as uncertain as the universe itself.- Armchair Empire

If the Action / Real-Time Strategy hybrid seems like an interesting one you might like to try "Sacrifice" (which is about six years old), because while Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War tries hard to bring something new to the crowded RTS genre with it's Hero mode and naval battles, there are just too many downsides to the game to make it worth playing.- Armchair Empire
