Borderlands 4 is the redemption the saga needed - Gearbox has listened to the community and fixed everything that needed fixing. It's fresh, crazy, fun, chaotic - everything Borderlands should be and the perfect answer to that saying "two plus two always equals four". They've taken the best parts of Borderlands 2, corrected the mistakes of Borderlands 3, and added new mechanics that work without losing the essence.

Salt and Sanctuary is the result of a perfect combination of the metroidvania and “souls” elements in order to create a unique, hard and satisfying 2D adventure that knows how to reward players’ skill. The Nintendo Switch version is indeed a great one.

Tales of Arise is the best option for this year regarding the JRPG genre. It is a game that you will fall in love with through its storytelling and a set of characters for whom you can actually feel something. The Iron Fist Tournament is definitely as good as ever.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is exactly how you adapt years of tradition to the current design formulae. The game is living proof that each and every change is a perfect chance to take a step forward. In that specific sense, the risks that Nintendo undertook have certainly paid off: the ninth Pokémon generation will certainly be one to be talked about for years. Paldea is not about representing a culture, but those of us who live within it. I can only be proud to belong to a place that is seen with so much beauty from the outside. Long live Pokémon, long live Game Freak and long live all of those that made happen this beauty of a game.

The new season has begun, and Football Manager fans can rest assured. This new edition more than lives up to all its novelties, improving everything in a simulator that, now more than ever, remains the king. While awaiting the graphical improvements announced for Football Manager 2025, this edition is a significant addition for all of us who love the other side of the beautiful game.

Monster Hunter Wilds is a natural evolution of the series, improving on almost every aspect of its predecessors. While the main campaign can be a bit short, the real game begins in the post-game, where the possibilities multiply and the challenges become truly exciting.

Desperados III feels natural as a new entry in the series while being an innovative and really good actual game. A game that, without much noise, results in one of the best recent stealth experiences.

Bravely Default 2 works like clockwork, and just to witness the technique that the Brave / Default system requires it is worth giving one of the best JRPGs that exist on Nintendo Switch a shot.

Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido is one of the best surprises of this current year. A complex game that brings new content to the genre and, despite the fact that it has some issues, features an outstanding combat system.

NFERNIUM isn’t like any other game we’ve played before, and it’s incredible. Dishonored meets Pac-Man and Dark Souls in a metroidvania way that, with breath-taking aesthetics and a deep level design, takes us to an indescribable travel to the underworld.

Unravel Two follows the path of its amazing prequel and turns out to be a true piece of art. A game that thanks to its artistic and level design manages to entertain and move the player.

Madden 18 is the best installment of the series in the last years. Very solid and with stunning graphics thanks to the Frostbite engine. Great both for the veterans of the genre and for the newcomers.

Cuphead is a true piece of art of the modern day videogame. The game has lived up to the expectations and it is full of detail and quality in every aspect. From its soundtrack to its wonderful design, Studio MDHR has achieved glory with this masterpiece. And now for Nintendo Switch.

The gameplay of FIFA 23 has changed to give us a slower gameplay, where the player's movement is more important and takes away weight from the use of skills. In addition, the chemistry of Ultimate Team will allow you to create more and more varied teams than ever before. So FIFA 23 manages to be a motivating product for those of us who are addicted to Ultimate Team and at the same time knows how to provide enough novelties in other game modes for those who enjoy the global game much more.

Mafia: The Old Country tells you a story that you're going to experience firsthand, feeling like one more part of the plot with tense moments, memorable stories, and gameplay that won't make you put down the controller for a single moment. It's a reminder of why we fell in love with video games in the first place: not because of complex systems or impressive graphics, but because of their ability to transport us to other worlds and make us feel part of extraordinary stories.
