Star Wars Battlefront II is the most complete game of the franchise. With a campaign mode that lives up to the expectations and an improved online mode, Electronic Arts and DICE put the series right where it belongs.- Areajugones

Borderlands 4 is the redemption the saga needed - Gearbox has listened to the community and fixed everything that needed fixing. It's fresh, crazy, fun, chaotic - everything Borderlands should be and the perfect answer to that saying "two plus two always equals four". They've taken the best parts of Borderlands 2, corrected the mistakes of Borderlands 3, and added new mechanics that work without losing the essence.- Areajugones

Salt and Sanctuary is the result of a perfect combination of the metroidvania and “souls” elements in order to create a unique, hard and satisfying 2D adventure that knows how to reward players’ skill. The Nintendo Switch version is indeed a great one.- Areajugones

Tales of Arise is the best option for this year regarding the JRPG genre. It is a game that you will fall in love with through its storytelling and a set of characters for whom you can actually feel something. Tt also features an acceptable progression system as well as fun battles, some interesting main missions (not so much for the secondary stuff), optional events, impactful visuals... it has everything.- Areajugones

Nintendo perfectly knows how to take to the next level their traditional formulae, and Splatoon 3 is a clear example of this. It is one of the best multiplayer online games on the Nintendo Switch and a must-have for all of the fans of this colorful franchise.- Areajugones

While much of the industry seems intent on recycling formulas and chasing after others' successes, works like Mixtape remind us of something essential: that there are still video games capable of making us feel something different. Of moving us. Of transporting us back to another moment in our lives. Of helping us breathe a little easier. And in times like these… that is worth as much as oxygen itself.- Areajugones

Once again, the Horsemen offer us a masterpiece. Darksiders III, even with all the fear and skepticism behind the game, has managed to become a superb hack ‘n’ slash. The personal journey of Fury against the Seven Deadly Sins is simply amazing, and everything is set towards the future for Strife to come and end this awesome epic.- Areajugones

Tekken is back at full force with a very solid eight entry. This next step for the franchise is full of content that resonates with Tekken's own historic legacy. Whether it is the amazing character design, both visually and mechanically, as well as through its many family dramas, Tekken 8 just knows how to do it all. The Iron Fist Tournament is definitely as good as ever.- Areajugones

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is exactly how you adapt years of tradition to the current design formulae. The game is living proof that each and every change is a perfect chance to take a step forward. In that specific sense, the risks that Nintendo undertook have certainly paid off: the ninth Pokémon generation will certainly be one to be talked about for years. Paldea is not about representing a culture, but those of us who live within it. I can only be proud to belong to a place that is seen with so much beauty from the outside. Long live Pokémon, long live Game Freak and long live all of those that made happen this beauty of a game.- Areajugones

Square Enix has decided to make the definitive version of an immediate classic out of something that, at the outset, may have looked like a simple adapted portable option: in this case we will find tenths of hours of gameplay, a magnificent turn based battle system and a whole new way to play the game in the West: the 2D mode, which will make nostalgics fall in love once again.- Areajugones

The gameplay of FIFA 23 has changed to give us a slower gameplay, where the player's movement is more important and takes away weight from the use of skills. In addition, the chemistry of Ultimate Team will allow you to create more and more varied teams than ever before. So FIFA 23 manages to be a motivating product for those of us who are addicted to Ultimate Team and at the same time knows how to provide enough novelties in other game modes for those who enjoy the global game much more.- Areajugones

Mafia: The Old Country tells you a story that you're going to experience firsthand, feeling like one more part of the plot with tense moments, memorable stories, and gameplay that won't make you put down the controller for a single moment. It's a reminder of why we fell in love with video games in the first place: not because of complex systems or impressive graphics, but because of their ability to transport us to other worlds and make us feel part of extraordinary stories. Just play it and enjoy an experience that you won't want to refuse.- Areajugones

Morbid Metal aims to be one of those games that stands out more for how it plays than for what it tells. Its real-time character-swapping system is what truly sets it apart, and if it manages to maintain variety and depth over the long term, it could become one of the most interesting roguelikes of its generation. A good Pokémon 'copy' that manages to pull off its own personality through the battle system but that, at the same time, carries an obvious problem: it really tries to be an MMORPG, yet in the end it stays as an open world with 'ghost' characters. Even so, overall it is a remarkable turn-based RPG that has a lot of potential. [Early Access Score = 75]- Areajugones
