Forza Horizon 6 is the best entry in the series. Playground Games delivers a stunning open-world Japan, packed with density, verticality and personality, while the return of the wristband progression system gives the campaign real weight. Event variety hits new heights with mecha races, food delivery challenges and the best rallies the franchise has ever seen, all backed by the most ambitious soundtrack in Horizon history. It is iterative rather than transformative, and the usual issues remain (cosmetic damage, robotic dialogue, weak narrative), but the formula has never been this polished. An arcade racing masterpiece and an essential Game Pass day-one.

Infinite Wealth improves on everything over Ichiban Kasuga's first entry. The RPG elements are well polished and expanded and the secondary content such as Dondoko Island or the Sujimon hunt is hilarious, absorbing and well worth your time. Overall, Kasuga is just a great new main character, and the main story manages to strike a proper balance between a ton of comedy... and drama.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is the purest form of chaos; but also of good storytelling. It is a journey, not with mere NPCs alongside Peter Quill, but with real friends. It is also a full display of crazy explosions, action to get your blood pumping, hilarious jokes and sublime music. All in all, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the best single-player experiences of 2021.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle stands as one of the best video games of 2024 and living proof that MachineGames is a studio that knows how to move skillfully in environments different from those we've been accustomed to in the past. It's an adventure/action game that places special emphasis on the first element and strives to make you feel like Harrison Ford himself in front of the cameras. There's no better Indiana Jones game. This must finally be its Holy Grail.

Halo Infinite's compendium is a remarkable one, a game that excels in all areas and that properly shows the hard work that 343 Industries has put in the game. The campaign is cool and the multiplayer is lots of fun, so all in all John 117's first appearance in the next-gen is a fantastic one.

Nintendo and Hal Laboratory have once again pulled off an adventure that not only improves upon the original adventure but the added content offers enough to consider it essential. If you enjoyed the base game, the additional content will delight you and won't disappoint you at all. A perfect example of how to offer a new version of the game for one of the most beloved characters that exist.

While it is true that we are facing a completely unnecessary remaster, the different possibilities to enjoy it are quite accessible. The visual improvement is indisputable, and it is gratifying to be able to play the original installment with the technical section of the sequel. In addition, if we take into account that the remaster includes the expansion "The Frozen Wilds" with new areas, weapons, enemies and characters, they make this remaster a product of greater value and interest than other remasters such as Until Dawn or The Last of Us.

A Plague Tale: Requiem perfectly shows how a game is supposed to improve on its predecessor: the plot is much more intense, the characters feel much more alive and the gameplay is not only polished but also feels like a perfect evolution. This IP is certainly looking very promising.

Returning to play Deacon St. John and exploring the dangerous lands of Farewell felt like a trip back in time to 2019. The experience was more rewarding than expected thanks to its new features, extending the hours of enjoyment beyond the game's main plot even further. Days Gone Remastered delivers on absolutely every front, proving itself to be a more than adequate remake, not only for existing players but also for new ones who decide to delve into it.

Horizon Call of the Mountain is an amazing title to test the potential of PS VR2. The immersion that the game achieves thanks to its setting and its graphical level is incredible. In addition, the mechanics that it incorporates, such as climbing or the use of the bow, make you enjoy from home and feel inside each battle. A game that generates very positive sensations and that is not satisfied with being a technical demo, but rather aspires to be a weighty game, being even more ambitious on occasions than the installments we know of in some of its areas.

NBA 2K22 is still on the right track just like its predecessor once did. The gameplay has been polished even further, especially the defense, which has been corrected in several areas providing hence a good balance. Also, there has been a full remodeling of The Neighborhood. The game shines brightly by its own right and manages to squeeze out every last bit of the new consoles, which is reflected in its magnificent visuals.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is, on one hand, a sublime experience regarding the technical aspects, one which fully utilizes PS5's hardware in order to become the most 'next-gen' thing up until now. On the other hand, it is also much more than a simple showing of Sony's new console power: it is a game with both a heart and a soul, a love letter to the whole Ratchet & Clank franchise.

Metroid Dread is a perfect mixture of 'things'. It is obviously a Metroidvania, but it can be enjoyed both by the connoisseurs of the genre as well as those that are complete newbies to it, it can even be considered a proper place to start exploring the genre. Even I, someone who is not particularly a fan of the Metroidvania concept, have been delighted by what Metroid Dread has to offer, and it has provided me with a ton of joy and has also surprised me more than any other game in a long time.

Control was already a good game before Ultimate Edition, with obvious negatives but impressive gameplay, but Control Ultimate Edition in PS5 is amazing: graphically it is in a whole other level, with a very stable performance at 60fps (if you set the performance mode) and a good resolution (1440p). However, the best part is how Control Ultimate Edition takes advantage of the DualSense features such as the adaptive triggers or the haptic feedback.

Morbid Metal aims to be one of those games that stands out more for how it plays than for what it tells. Its real-time character-swapping system is what truly sets it apart, and if it manages to maintain variety and depth over the long term, it could become one of the most interesting roguelikes of its generation. A good Pokémon 'copy' that manages to pull off its own personality through the battle system but that, at the same time, carries an obvious problem: it really tries to be an MMORPG, yet in the end it stays as an open world with 'ghost' characters. Even so, overall it is a remarkable turn-based RPG that has a lot of potential. [Early Access Score = 75]
