Deathloop follows the same pattern regarding the most characteristic elements to be found on Arkane's portfolio: a superb level design, an exceptional gameplay, an interesting story and an artistic element nothing short of spectacular. A magnificent game with but a few 'but' that has managed to completely hook me from beginning to end.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is an innovative souls-like with deep combat and dynamic systems that add a lot of the depth to the overall experience. The 'Madness Gauge' and the Inner Demon manifestation is quite a groundbreaking way to transform death into a powerful gameplay mechanic. If you are looking for a new souls-like with fun, fast-paced combat, then Wuchang: Fallen Feathers will definitely check all of your boxes.

The Callisto Protocol embraces fear in a very traditional way; essentially like the saying 'if It ain't broke don't fix it'. The future of space horror games is more than guaranteed within the first step of a video game that is not afraid to look to the past; It is a video game that does not shy away from showing exactly which games inspire it.

Moonlighter is one of the funniest indie games that we have seen this year. It mixes adventure and management and delivers hours of entertainment with an experience that feels fresh and brand new.

After more than 30 hours of gameplay, I can safely say that Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is exactly the kind of madness we needed. It's a game that embraces the absurdity of its premise and turns it into its greatest strength. The story kept me engaged, the characters are memorable, and every aspect of the game is bursting with personality.

At a time when Atlus is at its creative peak, with Metaphor: ReFantazio demonstrating its innovative potential and Persona cementing its position as a global franchise, Raidou Remaster arrives at the perfect time. It proves that Atlus's storied catalog is full of unique experiences waiting to be rediscovered.

Persona 4 Golden is like that bedside book that you are so fond of, a world that you want to return to again and again to meet characters you even dream of. If you forgive the passage of time, we are facing a title that even surpasses the fifth installment, bridging the gap.

Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book is a breath of fresh air in the genre of JRPG. This game features a mundane story but in a fantasy world where the dreams of the characters are more important than the plot.

As a game in itself, it is a timeless gem that has not aged at all thanks to the freshness provided by the playability of this saga, its originality and its impeccable level design. And as a remaster, although it doesn't look as good as Luigi's Mansion 3, the visual changes and improvements fit it like a glove and doesn't clash at all among the Nintendo Switch game catalog.

With Halo: Reach we are facing a game that has aged perfectly with good gameplay, high doses of fun and especially hours and hours that will keep us entertained in multiplayer modes. Halo: The Master Chief Collection starts big with one of the best games in the series that are remembered on PC.

Sloclap has delivered one of the best indie games of this 2017. Although it lacks a deep and more interesnting story, it has unique combat and gameplay mechanics that are rewarded with a great progression. An amazing journey and a stunning game.

Is a game always better if it has more content than its previous entry? In this specific case, I have to say no. Horizon Forbidden West still is a great game, there is no doubt whatsoever about that, but it did not manage to go to the next level. If you enjoyed the first entry of the series you are probably going to enjoy this one all the same, maybe even more. However, I feel a lack of ambition, mainly because I wholeheartedly believe that both Aloy and Guerrilla are capable of something 'bigger'.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is one of the great releases so far this year, a title in which Asobo Studio has managed to create what could become the best flight simulator of all time that will satisfy both the most purists and the more novice pilots. A realism never before seen in the genre of aerial simulation arrives with this powerful installment to PC and Xbox One.

The portable version lacks some things included in the FES version that are clearly noticeable, but the gameplay is still good, the OST is simply majestic and the characters are just so charming that make up for any bad thing about the game. This is definitely one of the best stories ever told in a JRPG.

And the thing is that Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition stands out for practically the same reasons as its sister installments: fun gameplay, a good story, charismatic characters (although in this work they are not as much as in other titles in the saga) and, above all, a world that is overwhelming to see and explore due to how vast it is. Huge, yes. And also very dangerous, as I mentioned in the analysis. But it is a joy to get lost and discover scenarios, each one more impressive than the last, with scenarios that are the envy of many current open worlds.

No, Silent Hill f is not the best game in the franchise, but it is an outstanding installment that looks back on older titles and lays the groundwork for Konami to continue the saga with quality standards it had forgotten since the PlayStation 2 generation.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is an absolutely key and necessary piece to be able to fully absorb the essence of the Final Fantasy VII remake. Although this game does not have the same depth as the official remake of the first part in terms of changes made, Square Enix has done a phenomenal job to make the figure of Zack Fair enjoy and adapt like a charm in the middle of 2022.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is exactly how you adapt years of tradition to the current design formulae. The game is living proof that each and every change is a perfect chance to take a step forward. In that specific sense, the risks that Nintendo undertook have certainly paid off: the ninth Pokémon generation will certainly be one to be talked about for years. Paldea is not about representing a culture, but those of us who live within it. I can only be proud to belong to a place that is seen with so much beauty from the outside. Long live Pokémon, long live Game Freak and long live all of those that made happen this beauty of a game.

Monolith Productions managed to deliver a magnificent sequel to Shadow of Mordor. Allowing the players to recruit several types of different orcs that display unpredictable behavior thanks to the Nemesis system is a great experience. Overall, it has improved almost every single area over its predecessor, and the possibility of using dragons as a tool for war is welcomed.

Morbid Metal aims to be one of those games that stands out more for how it plays than for what it tells. Its real-time character-swapping system is what truly sets it apart, and if it manages to maintain variety and depth over the long term, it could become one of the most interesting roguelikes of its generation. A good Pokémon 'copy' that manages to pull off its own personality through the battle system but that, at the same time, carries an obvious problem: it really tries to be an MMORPG, yet in the end it stays as an open world with 'ghost' characters. Even so, overall it is a remarkable turn-based RPG that has a lot of potential. [Early Access Score = 75]
