God of War: Sons of Sparta is decent, entertaining, and enjoyable at times, but we should expect (and demand) much more from this franchise. We're not here for Kratos to star in a passable Metroidvania; we're here for his brutality and quality to shine, to take a step forward in a genre that, unfortunately, has countless other games that are far superior to this one.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is not the vampire adventure you were hoping for, but it also isn't the massive disappointment you might have expected given its troubled development process. Even though the game clearly needs more development time, especially since the ending feels particularly rushed, there is some charm to Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2. The gameplay can be truly engaging, thanks to the vampiric powers and dynamic traversal... as long as you don't spend too much time in its melee combat.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is a competent game, especially for fans of the series. There are some cool additions, like dual ultimates which will let you create some dream teams and perform beuatiful cinematic finishing moves. The story mode is also pretty solid, allowing you to navigate through the latest story arcs from the anime, but also including interesting features that turn this into a slightly more ambitious project than your run-of-the-mill anime videogame. Definitely give it a try.

Enotria: The Last Song is a work that stands out for its visual beauty and thematic originality, but it fails to reach the level of execution necessary in its gameplay. The mask system, although innovative, is not well balanced, and combat, an essential pillar in any Souls-like, is hampered by imprecise controls and mechanics that limit the player's freedom. South Park: Snow Day! seemed to me like a rather vague attempt to capitalize on the franchise that gave us such good results with previous titles. In this latest offering from Riot Forge, developed in collaboration with Lazy Bear Games, we're treated to a straightforward yet engaging storyline. However, the gameplay leaves me somewhat torn. Here is a fun and entertaining proposal that has its pros and cons, just like The House of the Butterflies. The game is a bit short (between 15-20 hours), which is not bad at all, but unfortunately it becomes too repetitive. The combat feel is good and Hellboy moves well, but everything becomes very linear and repetitive. It is entertaining and a treat for fans of the hero, the setting and artistic design are sublime, and the gameplay is good and simple, but it all falls short of something bigger. Anthem is a game with a superb gameplay that fails in delivering an entertaining experience due to a campaign with no flow, a heartless story and repetitive missions, even in the endgame. Anthem clearly needs months or even years of polishing and content to be what it wanted to be at first.

Far Cry New Dawn is as good as it is inconsequential. Even though it has the great mechanics that characterizes the franchise, its story, allies and villains are empty throughout the game. So, we get an addictive and fun-to-play title that, at the same time, lacks soul and singularity, looking too much like Far Cry 5.
