GYLT is an adventure that, under the paradigm of a survival game, invites you to think about a real horror, the bullying. Its Tequila's more mature game, both in the narrative as on the playable and technical sides, but it may feel like a short game and not a very challenging one. As Stadia's first contact, it works like a charm.

Gylt is a love letter to survival horror as a genre, and we, as fans, enjoyed it a lot. It has some flaws, and it’s a survival horror meant to be “enjoyed" and not “suffered”. If you want a lighter approach to the genre, don’t miss it out.

GYLT mixes exploration, puzzles and stealth in an atmosphere of soft terror to address the complex issue of bullying.

Gylt is a game that isn't too good or too bad to be memorable, both in terms of gameplay and narrative. A simple and easy adventure that can entertain anyone for some hours but that doesn't do anything relevant.

The first exclusive game for Stadia is not the one you always dreamed of seeing in the launch line-up for a new platform. Even if it's not that bad, is nothing to be excited about either.

Gylt deals with delicate and interesting topics but fails to offer a concrete and exciting experience. Stadia will need exclusives of much more weight to win gamers' heart.

The act of playing Gylt feels like the video game equivalent of reading the most embarrassing sections of a family member's diary out loud in public.

Sure it is somewhat an action game as it gives you tools for fighting the monsters that stalk you at every turn, but the game does a great job at making you feel helpless nonetheless and for every tool it gives you a new foe to face as well each one creepier than the last. The story speaks to the horrors of bullying and how isolating it feels and uses plenty to look at. It is a game that is off-putting in the right way, something about the theme of bullying and how you have to deal with making it through the story does a great job in making you feel as if something is wrong at every turn. I wholly recommend a playthrough of this game and it is even fun to explore and look for collectables off the beaten path which gifts you with more of the game's true story. The game isn't too difficult, but it does a great job at challenging you nonetheless. Expand

Expand

It is a fun, scary, addictive game that looks and plays flawlessly on Stadia.

I love all the attention to detail paid by the creators. The graffiti, the environment, the artwork to find etc. give a real sense of realism.

There are clearly some folks in the review section here who don't want you to try this game on a cloud gaming service. I say, "give it a try"! You might find it works way better than you expected and the gameplay sucks you in.
