Jan 31, 2025The ability to transform into unique, fully fleshed-out monsters with their own skill trees and abilities makes the gameplay of Coridden feel fresh and exciting. With up to four-player co-op, this ARPG is worth giving a try, either alone or with friends.

Feb 4, 2025Coridden is quite simply one of the coolest concepts I've played in absolutely ages, and as a big fan of co-op games, is immensely refreshing. I adore this game, and I really hope we get more from this from the team at Aftnareld to shows off more of what they can do, because their first attempt is a triumph of ingenuity.

Feb 18, 2025Coridden has a great core idea. I like how the combat system requires players to constantly shift between human and monster forms to deal with increasingly challenging enemy groups and capable bosses. The entire concept is even better if players manage to bring at least a friend into the game for cooperative action. The world of Heera mixes science-fiction and fantasy elements pretty well but the story and characters fail to stand out. Coridden is worth checking out for the shapeshifting alone and I hope the team at Aftnareld gets a chance to expand on it in a sequel.

Feb 27, 2025Coridden is a well-crafted and accessible action-RPG, perfect for those unfamiliar with the genre or the ones that are looking for a less demanding (but still engaging) experience, especially in multiplayer. It stands out with a unique and well-implemented core idea, a fun and modular combat system with deep customization, a manageable playtime, and a grind-free progression. However, the game falls short in enemy variety (sure, transforming into defeated creatures is great, but more diverse foes would have been welcome) and suffers from an underwhelming narrative, suboptimal level design, and a lack of endgame content or a New Game+ mode for those who seek replayability. That said, thanks to its cooperative focus and budget-friendly price, Coridden is still an easy recommendation, especially if you plan to play with friends.

Feb 2, 2025Coridden is the perfect example of how an original idea can shine even when the execution isn't perfect. Its unique transformation and cooperation mechanics, along with its interesting mix of setting, make it a unique experience that deserves the attention of co-op action RPG lovers.

Jan 29, 2025Coridden, while lacking polish, also shines like a diamond with its wealth of ideas, theming, and creative setting. Almost better as a proof-of-concept, my intention isn’t to steer the developers away from success, but to highlight that the hard part’s been done: good game design. All that’s needed is some QA. For you, reader, you may enjoy seeing what’s being chewed on here, but don’t go in expecting a crisp experience.

Feb 10, 2025Coridden is a fun game with an interesting premise, but playing solo just makes you feel like you’re missing the full experience.
