Overall, however, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the spirit of the old games somehow managed to live on in the FPS iteration.

Immersed in a good story, slicing enemies, completing quests, advancing you group's experience, are all elements that will keep you going in Icewind Dale 2 and they represent game's essential qualities. These features are all well-balanced and can guarantee some long hours of fun RPG fun.

While it may have the right atmosphere, the right approach to characterization and story presentation to attract anyone who is fond of the Transformers universe, it simply lacks any distinctive features that could potentially make it stand out and put it right up there with the industry's top shooters.

I really expected more from the Story mode - the storyline is rather substandard, almost non-existent, in fact. In a nutshell, the game's single-player portion feels a bit underdone, offering a slightly vague depiction of the characters, save for sporadic cut-scenes followed by a brief texts, explaining precious little.

Unfortunately, you really only beat up thugs in the same manner most of the time, the story missions that have to do with the movie are appalling, and the whole thing seems like it could have been a lot better. This isn't to say that it isn't a good game; it just isn't a great game. It is also short as well.

The sheer complexity of the game clearly guarantees some serious RPG fun. But, the problem is that there's a great deal of gamers out there that never bothered to research the intricate 3.5 AD&D rules. The fact is that during the game, newcomers will surely find themselves tangled up in a sea of RPG details.

All of the abovementioned discrepancies are outshined by the excellent in-game physics, solid damage model, excellent particle effects, good sounds, and beautifully designed racing tracks.

It's easy on your hardware (mid-range rigs will run it without a hitch) and it offers a sufficient number of gameplay hours. Providing, however, you play it with the right frame of mind.

A game with great potential that sadly hasn't been fully developed. No matter how much you may like certain aspects of it, the fact that the retail code feels so incomplete and technically lacking is inexcusable.

Doom 3 fans should definitely check this one out if they're craving for more Doom gameplay seasoned with whatever id though was neat in "Half-Life 2."

It is also the best CTF add-on pack out there, which means cash-spending time if you're a consumer looking to play the best games for a specific type of online gameplay that money can buy.

Two very big things going for it. The first is the Unreal Warfare engine - it provides nice graphics content for every level of system. The second is the price. It's Free. Go download it.

GRAW 2 is a step in the right direction even though the game, technically, may require more polish.

The underlining story that is supposed to tie the missions together is completely neglected. You just go from one location to another and deal away with potential threats; that's the crux of the matter.

You'll find Splinter Cell: Conviction a rewarding experience if you're buying the game for its co-op modes. On the other hand, if you're diving into the action expecting a complex and innovative single-player mode, Splinter Cell: Conviction might seem like a letdown.

All in all I had a nice time playing the Stupid Invaders. Still, if you are a serious adventure player, it won't take you more than a day or two to complete all four disks.

I was particularly surprised by the fact that the engine did not slow down, even when there were 600-700 units engaged in battle. The game engine really seems remarkable.

The level design is not always top-notch and occasionally, the game might lose some of its pacing, but in the grand scheme of things, it all balances out nicely with the unique and fun bosses and some frantic over-the-top shooting, slashing, breaking and stabbing action.

The combat segment of the action RPG experience is spectacular, the game looks beautiful and it offers an epic journey through a massive single-player campaign. Still, I must admit that my interest in it kept waning as time went on.

As for myself I was never that hooked on games a la Settlers, but this was kinda fun to play. Regardless of what I think, the indisputable fact remains - the game needs more visual improvements.

An impressive fantasy setting, intriguing plot, and reasonably lengthy missions make for a solid experience. The thing is though, those who don't prefer a hefty dose of classic epic fantasy storytelling should probably stay away.

Even so, I can't neglect the repetitive nature of some of the scenery and characters and the fact that once the initial effect of overstated violence wears off, every so often, you'll feel bored with Manhunt.

In case it’s not obvious, no one should come to Hyrule Warriors expecting a traditional Zelda game. Hyrule Warriors is quite possibly the most anti-Zelda game out there, but it’s also perfect for those of us who have always wanted to send Link on a mass killing spree through hordes and hordes of moblins with the Master Sword.

Given Ubi's reputation and the game's undeniable success on the Xbox 360, we were disappointed to encounter so many technical disadvantages. This will undoubtedly ward off a majority of gamers, especially those who had their heart set on playing a decent bug-free PC game.

Watch Dogs does do some new things and does them very well. With few exceptions it’s a polished and fun game and well-worth a look.
