With so many massive role-playing games or padded action games, it’s refreshing to play an old-school point-and-click adventure without the old-school frustration and without the padded content for length. It’s short, sweet, to the point, and it helps that it’s as fun as it is funny. I’m more than happy to take a break from the AAA scene with a game like this at any time.

What can be more satisfying than moving around through perilous levels, rescuing big-boobed babes in distress? I'm sorry to say though, that the whole Duke-visiting-the-Big-Apple experience looses its charm because the game's not very long.

If it’s been awhile since you picked up a Madden game, you might want to give Madden 15 a look. It’s definitely grown beyond what most people think of Madden NFL games.

An enjoyable experience. However, for all the time they have spent improving the graphics, physics, and new Create-A-Trick, I do wish they had devoted more time and effort into the level design.

The art work is expressive, full of life and it does wonders for the in-game atmosphere, and the music is just as good.

In almost every way Disney Infinity 2.0 earns its sequel badge as it has improved on the original.

It has some clear and often inexplicable drawbacks, and yet it still manages to deliver a deep and immersive single-player gaming experience that had me glued to my monitor screen 'till the wee hours of the morning.

Everything looks and plays spectacularly in Halo 5: Guardians, and it was so close to having the complete package for a first-person shooter. Unfortunately, the hype oversold and underdelivered when it came to story, and the non-shooting missions should have been scrapped until the team figured out a more creative way to entice player exploration in the middle of a shooter.

Skylanders Trap Team may break the bank a little, but it’s still a great game for kids, little and big alike.

Very playable and is sure to get your attention. However, the relatively small number of mission, and the occasionally dull atmosphere may cause that attention to become short-lived…

Character witticisms and conversing with NPCs is the main attraction here and it's probably the only reason why I feel this game should be worth anybody's time.

Oxenfree creates suspense and tension as the player experiences numerous unexpected events. This is Oxenfree’s greatest strength. The slightly questionable dialogue mechanics and relatively short story are generally the only downsides here, but otherwise, you really might want to consider being part of this adventure, because you never know what might happen.

It's one of those rare titles that; although lacking more polish and proper funding; manage to captivate you with the sheer creative talent and enthusiasm that their authors bring to the table.

The game is fairly short. The overall impression was also reduced with those sound bugs and camera issues I mentioned. Still, the excellent visuals and squad-based gameplay compensate for all of that and they make The Thing a truly entertaining product.

Coldwood Interactive has managed to generate a refreshing new take on the puzzle platformer, starring an endearing protagonist that will steal your heart. For those looking to scratch that puzzling itch without having to bite of something as overwhelming as The Witness, this will prove to be a more than adequate salve.

Nonetheless, despite some of its shortcomings, I still recommend MoH: Airborne to shooter fans. With a couple of patches that tweak the AI and collision detection, one should overlook the lack of more single-player content as the gameplay experience you'll get is rewarding enough to warrant a purchase.

Has a lot to offer to every strategy fan despite its downsides, such as the unreliable AI, its rather linear campaign and lack of practical use of many of its units. It is still a very good and addictive game, with many improvements made - in the gameplay as well as in the most obvious factor, the graphics.

There's plenty of strategy and sheer fun to be found in Praetorians. In fact, I am inclined to call this game the most strategy-minded strategy game I've ever played.

For players looking for some challenging strategy with an RPG skill system that allows the player to tailor the game to their play style, will find a fun and affordable game with Demigod. Just make sure you understand what kind of game you are buying and you won't be disappointed.

FIFA 07 might impress at first, but if you stick with it, you'll realize some fundamental things about the game of football are still eluding the developers in their efforts to make a good game.

Despite some of its technical issues and repetitiveness, I feel compelled to play this game until I finish the entire single-player campaign. Each mission means you work your ass off and that makes a nice change over the traditional FPS formula.

It seems like every aspect of the game from its’ backwards compatibility for both instruments and DLC, to its playable music platform approach, ultimately has every Harmonix fan at heart. This culminates in a very welcome return to form for the series, and a very worthy first entry to the new console generation.

Even though some weird level design decision and venerable AI code may present a fairly serious drawback, the aforementioned qualities of EF2 outweigh the bads. Shooter fans that appreciate the Star Trek universe should go out and buy this game.

If you're a fan of puzzle games, you can go and buy Q.U.B.E. now. If, on the other hand, Portal is the closest you ever came to the genre and if you can live without Portal's charm and are willing to take on a more challenging series of brain teasers, then, by all means, go for it.

In a manner of speaking, CivCity is the exact opposite of "Glory of the Roman Empire" - while the latter may feel initially more impressive, CivCity wipes the floor with it in the long run. It's an involving and challenging city builder that has more under its hood than what the paint job might suggest.
