Overall, I love the game and its uniqueness but I think it should have been left on the DS.

Pure D&D, with all of the good and bad connotations that carries.

It won't win any new fans nor will it disappoint the market it was aimed at. Worms: Battle Islands is a thoroughly addictive game and must be played amongst friends to truly enjoy it.

If you want a racing game that's cheap and cheerful, easy to play and accessible, then The Legend Lives is the one for you!

I feel bad for railing on Jackass: the Game this much, as from a purely gaming perspective, it is not only playable, but at times mildly amusing and wholly enjoyable.

It's not all bad with L.A. Rush, as the storyline's pretty engrossing, well written and well acted, so that part will keep you amused.

As if repeating enemy models aren't bad enough, the levels sometimes take you back to places you've already visited and force you to fight the same enemies again, just with different spawn points and a little higher difficulty.

On the plus side, what's there is competently done and is flecked with powerful moments of brutality. On the downside, these spots of overt anguish aren't dealt with particularly well and lead to a reduction of the overall effect.

Its charmless and sterile graphics only make the dodgy gameplay harder to swallow and give less reason for me to continue.

If you take out storytelling and character building, then add in mediocre gameplay, what do you have? A pretty action title that stumbles far more than it struts.

SCi have done a marvellous job with the high detail, which comes across well in both the audio and visuals.

Fortix is driven by a sound gaming mechanic that’s almost difficult to criticise. “What you see is what you get”, “Does exactly as it says on the tin” etc, what is easy to criticise though, is the difficulty that gets much too intense for a game designed for 5 – minute bursts, as well as a visual presentation that’s just downright ugly. Combine this with a total lack of clever features and we have a game that’s just a borderline stinker.

Hired Guns: The Jagged Edge fails to achieve what it set out to do. It wanted to be a hugely tactical but still engaging squad-based affair, but the long-winded combat is boring and anything but tactical, while the audio is sure to drive you to turn the volume down and put some music on instead.

It's true that this game is a gem in its genre - you won't find a better hotel management simulator without a great deal of searching - but I'm not saying this is a perfect game with no room for improvement.

If you're looking for a cute adventure game for your GBA that has some decent writing and lasts a good while, I'd urge you to look into The Sims 2.

It's more of the same plus one - you've just got to stick with it for a while until the action really picks up.

In the end, the storyline and memorable moments will push most players towards finishing the eight to twelve hour storyline but this will be despite the majority of the gameplay rather than because of it.

Even though it might be over too quickly for platforming veterans, those who like action from the word go will find their long lost pal in Kao the Kangaroo 2. With an enormous and linear breath of fresh air feeling, this game puts the cool back in old school and will have most gamers jumping for joy for as long as it lasts!

It's a disappointing purchase despite the low price and free online gaming, and the desire to create a simple, team-to-team beat 'em up has been Silent Grove's undoing.

Mega Man Star Force Leo is the proverbial Yin/Yang. The combat - the true essence of Mega Man - is engaging and complex if you want it to be, and can best be described with one word: fun. The battle cards, albeit contrived, add a nice flavor to the game and building your deck to suit your style is quick and easy. But the other side, the story and accompanying cut scenes, have the ability to rip you right out of the game to look for something else to play.

The only reason to get Delta Force: Black Hawk Down is for the online mode and I wouldn't bother getting the PS2 version for online thrills if you have an Xbox, or Killzone for that matter.

For the budget price, Blowout isn't a bad game, as it follows the rules of its genre very closely and, while offering little in the way of innovation, does at least feel like someone cared when they made it.

A triumphant conversion that any child who's a fan of the cartoon will absolutely adore - if you know a youngster who likes the show, you really can't go wrong.

This game should not disappoint fans, it is different for sure, but it is also an excellent, very well executed shooter, which still retains the elements of FF we all love - the complex plot, upgrades, EXP, and even a chance to discuss chocobos if you just find the right girl to chat with!

A fine example of a traditional adventure game, with an engaging storyline, challenging puzzles and visuals and sound that combine for a good atmosphere. It's without a doubt the best point and click game I've played in a long time, despite its flaws.

A game that will only really appeal to fans of survival horror.

Platformer lovers who are also fans of the license are likely to get a kick out of Curious George for the short time that it lasts, and I don't think anyone can discount the game's beautiful presentation, but in the end I think going with a weekend rental is about all that most gamers will get out of this.

Tamagotchi Connexion: Corner Shop 3 is a charming little mini-game collection with a range of simple activities that vary in challenge and depth but are all pretty accessible and easy to get the hang of for young children.

The only thing keeping Naruto: Path of the Ninja from being completely forgettable - the developers have done a very good job of infusing the spirit of the anime series into every aspect of the game.

The recreation of Soho is excellent and whilst the missions vary from driving to on-foot and are generally well-designed, both have their fair share of technical problems that can really frustrate and significantly mar the gameplay.

Rayman's Raving Rabbids 2 is a game with a sense of humour and a lot of customisation, with plenty to unlock to customise your Rabbid throughout the Adventure and Score modes, but the lack of variety and low difficulty in the mini-games will fail to satisfy most players in their teens and above.

After two failed games it might be too much to ask for an excellent follow up, but a playable one would have been nice.

There's some limited fun to be had with The Lord of the Rings: Conquest, and there are even times when the great game it could have been almost shine through, but plagued with such gaping flaws and wasted potential, the small amount of enjoyment that you might be able to gain never seems to justify the time you spend trying to discover it.

Of course, the odd SpongeBob appearance and the odd wisecrack from Mr. Krabs makes up for the otherwise abysmal tasting Krabby Patty of a game, but unless you really have an itch for a Sponge game, this probably should be avoided.

For the PSP this should have been a set of downloads and not another game to purchase, for what is essentially a few updates, a little graphic polishes and some pets!

What I cannot forgive is that the combat is horribly balanced - it is the worst of both worlds, a game that demands overwhelming levels amounts of micromanagement yet provides entirely too few tools and opportunities to make it happen.

If you have both consoles, go for the Xbox version, as the difference between the two consoles is clearly displayed with Invasion. Despite some perfect tunes and wonderful weapon effects, the PS2 version is at times choppy and at others just plain ugly, having something of a PSOne feel about it.

Long-time die-hard fans of Dynasty Warriors may well find a lot to like here, and truth be told there are a lot of battles to plough through, provided you've got the patience. However, for everyone else - including anyone who vomits at the mere mention of the series - this offers absolutely nothing to hook you.

A fantastic game that serves to not only pay tribute to Bomberman's proud heritage and introduce a new audience to the old classic, but prove that there's a new lease of life for Bomberman in 2008 and on the Wii.

Destiny mode is probably the most worthwhile aspect of Dynasty Warriors 5: Xtreme Legends, so if it doesn't interest you all that much and you already own the original DW5 then there's really no reason for you to purchase the XL version.

The campaigns are vast and varied, with interesting stories to hold you attention, while the three Legends Trails offer up even more varied missions with a much stronger emphasis on castle building and besieging.

Quite simply, WarPath is a mess. With terrible gameplay, bland graphics, forgettable sound, a whole host of technical issues, and a lifespan shorter than the manhood of a poorly equipped midget, there is little to savour from this game.

Sure, it has a few nominal quirks, but when push comes to shove, this game puts on an entertaining show with value that far exceeds its budget pricing, thanks to a sizeable campaign and a fun selection of eight unlockable arcade-style mini-games.

There is plenty of replayability, if you like the basic game, but that's where we get back to the duality - some will love Deep Labyrinth and others will hate it.

The menus are cheap looking, the tunes tinny and the endings don't reward you in the way they should, being short and small. The whole thing has the feel of a title scrambled together at the whim of a marketing director keen to make a fast buck on the back of a wave of retro popularity.

For all but Monopoly, the translation to digital has been handled very well, and the speed and simplicity of play allows for pretty good replay value.

It looks lovely, is as well written and imaginative as the cartoon obviously is, and features a good balance of challenge and gameplay variety to keep children interested and entertained.

Despite the laundry list of problems that plague Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command and pervade this review, the game can be fun at times. That is if you're willing to fight through the frustration of playing through missions multiple times, either to cheat to find enemy positions or because you got smoked by an enemy tank off-screen.

It fails because it's an undemanding game that lacks of anything remotely challenging or memorable, to make it one that you'll easily forget.

Battlezone is good for a quick dose of action, but those looking for a longer gaming experience may have to look elsewhere.

Urban Jungle fails in providing enough replay value to justify a definite purchase, its finely tuned fast-paced shooter gameplay at least makes it a worthy tie-in for fans of the show to take a gander at in anticipation of the debut airing of the like-titled special episode.

As the fight draws to a close, Prizefighter's poor early rounds have taken the wind out of its sails and the end result is inevitable.

The gameplay in D-Day is tactical and challenging but remains fun throughout and this is a satisfying combination. RTS fans will pick it up easily but there are some great additions to the genre too, such as your troops' range of special abilities, the interactivity with the environment that allows you to destroy or occupy (and fire from within) buildings and the bonuses you receive for adding differently skilled men to vehicle crews.

Any sense of ambience that the presentation brings to the screen is immediately destroyed by the game's indifferent turn towards the source material it is supposed to be proudly displaying; when the most enticing facet of your game is a foil promo card then you know you have a problem.

For the time being at least, my callous regard of film licenses remains justified. The cheap thrills on offer here are replicated with much more panache in titles such as "GTA: San Andreas" or "Driv3r." Steer clear.

There really is a decent game in here somewhere - it's just such a shame that it is hidden beneath some awful glitches and some clearly unfinished gameplay mechanics.

If you can forgive the AI and path-finding issues and overlook the slightly decrepit graphics and lack of imagination in the story, then there is some fun to be found in Besieger.

My Sims Party is easily the weakest of the My Sims games released so far.

Sure, it has some faults, particularly in the area of graphics and sound, but when a company decides to rather focus on making the game actually fun instead of making the graphics superb and forgetting all about the gameplay then I can't complain too much!

My biggest disappointment with SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab is that by trying too hard to be trendy and make full use of the DS hardware the developers have turned a fun if unremarkable game into one that is annoyingly sub-par.

Despite Dance Factory's innovative concept, Codies' flawed execution and iffy beat recognition make this somewhat of a missed opportunity to knock Konami's "Dancing Stage" from the top spot.

For all its flaws, terrible graphics and Wii friendly gameplay mechanics, Jambo! Safari is still an extremely enjoyable experience.

Dodgy controls aside, there's little inherently wrong with Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, yet it's painfully average and just lacks the amount of fun that would warrant a purchase.

Games that seem to go out of their way to waste my time raise my ire like nothing else I know.

While it certainly makes its mark visually, beneath the gorgeously moody stylised graphics and brutal gore, it's a pretty repetitive, by the numbers beat 'em up.

It’s a sluggish, unintuitive, stumbling mess of a fighter, with only a handful of redeeming features, none of which raise it much further from the gutter of ineptitude it resides in.

Perhaps given more development time, Krome Studios could have turned out a fitting tribute to one of science fiction's most enduring franchises. Sadly, however, Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Lightsaber Duels isn't the game we were all hoping for.

With every clichéd platforming scenario and convention ever devised locked down and ready to boot, Garfield and his Nine Lives is both formulaic and as essential a purchase as a chocolate teapot. Quite simply, it's 'paw'.

Carnival Games is one of those games that you want to love for its unique appeal and for trying something different, but it just feels rushed and only half-completed.

While fans of the show may be more forgiving of its glacial sized flaws and see past the shoddy exterior to the gold that's probably hidden somewhere deep within, this as an adventure game that's too old, too boring and too broken to be of much enjoyment to all but the most hardcore of Law & Order fans.

Sonic Riders doesn't boast too many tracks, nor does it have an online mode, which is a shame, but a bit of unique futuristic racing with familiar faces is what I'm after these days, and Sonic Riders delivers on that front hands down.

Although the gameplay loses out with its linearity and the walking episodes are weak, it makes up for it with awesome driving sections, a great story, fantastic graphics and the wonderful casting of A-list Hollywood actors.

Disappointingly dull.

Bad writing, average graphics, poor sound and gameplay with seemingly no direction and little resemblance to the Bikini Bottom world combine to bog down a really good storyline concept and what could have been a good platform adventure game, but instead feels like sections of platform adventure jumbled with poor flying and racing.

Games like Road Rash and Desert Strike are still fun to play and you may enjoy discovering (or rediscovering) some of the others, but don't expect to be blown away by the quality on offer overall.

The horribly short lifespan and the bad controls of Kong degrades this title from a must-have to a must-rent.

Teen Titans isn't as inspired as many will hope, and even with the added multiplayer support doesn't end up being much more than a quick Teen Titans videogame tie-in for the masses to consume.

Experienced gamers aren't likely to find enough depth or challenge here to interest them for very long, and the lack of multiplayer in any capacity and the less-than-creative Wii-specific mechanics are disappointments. However, for the game's younger target audience, there is a fun, easy going action RPG and lighthearted storyline waiting to be discovered.

The graphics are poor and feel dated, the gameplay isn't really all that fun, the controls are awful, and the number of mechs and the size of the maps have been scaled down, resulting in a game that has lost the epic feel that everyone loves about RTS games.

The creation aspect of Dungeon Maker is quite enjoyable to begin with, but the constant battles, digging and eating turn this initially fun RPG into a very tedious exercise indeed.

Whilst I normally enjoy choosing between a stealthy or combat-based approach like in the Hitman games, the idea of being able to very easily kill everyone in the level or just avoid anything entirely still seems odd to me.

It's a decent game that's poorly implemented in places and unfortunately suffers from the condition that nearly all movie-based games suffer from. The symptoms usually consist of average graphics (unless you own a previous-gen console), no new storyline (everything's from the film) and an awkward camera control system (because the game's been rushed to be released at the same time as the movie). It is due to these shortcomings that I'd say it's better to leave this game Far Far Away!

Surely not pushing the Xbox anywhere near to its limits and it fails to capture the essence of WWE, feeling outdated and sluggish to play. Best avoid this one until a real next-gen wrestler comes along.

Sure, it can get repetitive, but then again, with only a few maps to play on, this isn't a problem. Unfortunately the game suffers from lack of content, which is a crying shame; if it was longer or had more modes then I would have been over the moon.

If only the developers had fixed that camera. If only they had thought harder about the puzzles. But they didn't and that leaves Genji as a disappointing experience overall.

Despite the dated gameplay, lack of online options and baffling storyline, the game manages to still be fun thanks in no small part to the charm that the Gundam license brings to the title.

Although it does have a couple of flaws like a temperamental camera and some slowdown, as well as controls that take a little getting used to, it's such a blast to play and very addictive once you get into it.

The story is average at best, the presentation is poor and the game is rife with glitches. Despite these problems though, the fact remains that it's still an extremely fun game, largely thanks to Edge of Reality's skill at successfully putting you in the shoes of the destructive whirlwind that is the Incredible Hulk.

Monster Madness: Grave Danger would have been one of the weaker PSN games, even at a price of £10 or less, but as a retail game that costs more than three times that amount, it simply can't be recommended.
