It all works quite well and should prove entertaining to the little ones. The quirky humor and gameplay will be a little too simple for more mature tastes but younger gamers should definitely tune into this one.
-
They're great buys for the children in your life, but the older Spongebob fan will find nothing of note here.
-
Interesting in execution, but a little old in every other aspect. I think the younger crowd, its target audience will be overjoyed in the “8 Bizarre and Unusual Worlds!” and use of all the Nintendo DS's functions.
-
Creature from the Krusty Krab's sole reliance on touch screen control is intriguing, but falls flat. In execution, the swiping design is too slow-placed, repetitive and frustrating for the adventure to maintain a steady sense of SpongeBob fun.
-
Creature from the Krusty Krab will prove to be a stale patty even to hardcore SpongeBob fans.
-
AceGamezMy biggest disappointment with SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab is that by trying too hard to be trendy and make full use of the DS hardware the developers have turned a fun if unremarkable game into one that is annoyingly sub-par.
-
The scum-ridden, germ-infested sponge under my bathroom sink has more character and wit than this SpongeBob, unfortunately.
