While EA Sports usually manages to avoid the “fullprice update” moniker with its yearly franchise iterations, UFC 3 (on a two year cycle, after all) can’t escape the update screams. There is progress, but the better presentation aside nothing that in the end couldn’t have been put in a patch for the predecessor.- 4P.de

The strongest criticism to the original release was the pad controls. This game was screaming for motion tracking and roomscale of sort. Now it has it and delivers. Still some potential is left untapped.- 4P.de

The story is great, the voice-acting top-notch and the visuals are among the best that Lego games have to offer. Mechanically though, this is as far as Traveller’s Tales can stretch the current mechanics. The core gameplay desperately needs an overhaul.- 4P.de

Yukes listened to last years’ complaints and offers some interesting solutions. Starting with a huge roster and significant improvement of fight pacing with the new counter restrictions they are on a good way.- 4P.de

The cute design choices and creative puzzles make this an enchanting adventure. It could have been even better with a more decent fighting system.- 4P.de

While the sea battles are intense and tactically challenging as well as easy on the eyes the maritime warfare lacks clan support and big teams.- 4P.de

Marlow Briggs is not a new experience nor is it original in any way. But the mix of games like Shadowman, Soul Reaver and God of War is well-composed and gives you a decent amount of fun for a reasonable price.- 4P.de

While the essence of this twinstick shooter is still as interesting as it was on Xbox One in 2015 and PlayStation 4 in 2016, the technical execution leaves a lot to be desired.- 4P.de

The Witness is a challenging puzzle experience. It is less adventure but more intensive puzzle marathon with creative tasks sometimes connected over multiple tiers. Compared to Portal or The Talos Principle The Witness lacks a coherent combination of puzzle solving and story-telling, though.- 4P.de

It is an acceptable first step into the UFC octagon by EA. But considering their experience with MMA in the last generation and the quality that the late THQ delivered, you can’t help but be slightly disappointed. For every positive aspect they put into the game, you’ll discover a detail they didn’t touch, a road they didn’t follow through –starting from visuals way down to the core mechanics.- 4P.de

Electronic Arts is on the right path. In terms of presentation there is still a lot to do to challenge NBA 2K, but the more arcady playstyle and the not heavily featured “in-your-face” integration of micro-transactions makes this a decent challenger for the NBA crown..- 4P.de

This is exactly what you expect: Loads of super heroes and villains, millions of Lego studs to collect and an all-around entertaining experience without surprises. If Traveller’s Tales knows one thing, it is their Lego formula, to which they stick like glue.- 4P.de

This game still is very unique – at least stylistically. And on the PC you get the better visuals, the better controls and overall more value for your money in this intersting MetroidVania variation.- 4P.de

This is a neat take on retro action as served by Contra or Turrican so long ago. Plus: all the easter eggs and references on video games are a blast. Unfortunately it crosses the border between challenging (but doable) and relentless trial & error on too many occasions.- 4P.de

Don't be fooled: If you pit Kingdoms of Amalur against Skyrim, Reckoning will be pulverized – Bethesda's roleplaying epic is superior in every aspect. But as a hack-and-slay in an expansive world with entertaining fights and more loot that you can carry Amalur stands out. It is exactly what I've been waiting for since the good old days of Champions of Norrath or Dungeons & Dragons Heroes – even though the inventory system lacks usability.- 4P.de

The presentation might not be spectacular, but you’ll get loads of upgradable units, buildings and an extensive dynamic campaign. Eador might not be as intuitive as Might & Magic Heroes, but it is just as difficult to get away from it.- 4P.de

Revelations might be a bit older and it certainly can’t get rid of its 3DS origin. But in case you haven’t played it yet on another system, you’ll get a decent and competent port of game that managed to capture the spirit of the classic Resident Evils.- 4P.de
