Games like Speedathon justify the existence of the $0.99 price point. It's not bad but if it were any more expensive there would be no reason to even consider it. At this price, though, one can comfortably and cheaply appreciate its pure simplicity.

The only real issue I have with TwinGo! is that the entire first world is just far too easy.

Fancy Pants is a solid platformer with a ton of content. The number of items to collect each level will surely keep players occupied for hours. The speed is a little to fast, but besides that the game is really well designed.

Adventure Bar Story is a decent game. It hurts me to say it but decent is about as good as it gets. There are plenty of small moments of enjoyment, but the overall experience feels weighed down by blandness.

Coco Loco doesn't reinvent the physics puzzler, but it adds a honeyed style of its own to arguably the most popular genre of game on iOS.

There's enough variety between the two modes to keep players interested, while never deviating from the core purpose behind the game. An ideal casual delight.

I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that the current version of the game does not seem to play well with the iPad.

Screen size aside, this game is intricate and boast an amount of depth not often seen in iOS games.

It plays it a little safe, never veering from the tried and tested format, but it's a pleasant enough way to spend a few hours.

Players who enjoy bright, neon graphics with a retro feel will love the look of Lightopus and players looking for a challenging but satisfying experience will not be disappointed.

60 levels are available in all, as well as a Bomb mode that's mostly more of the same, so there is good value for money, but it'll take a patient sort to keep playing. The visual style may be wonderful to look at but everything else is pretty lacking.

When a game only focuses on one mechanic, it better execute on it pretty flawlessly. Trampoloons only aspires to be a time waster but its sketchy controls and lackluster look and sound keep it from fully reaching even that lofty standard.

Even with the annoyances, Nose Invaders still manages to be quite a bit of fun. So long as breaks are taken from the occasional irritation.

Robot Fish is an enjoyable game that is easy to pick up, play, and finish reasonably quickly with a B or C rank. It's those A ranks that will keep the player coming back time and time again, and that's where the longevity can be found.

Little Rockets starts out slow and easy, which had me worried for a bit, but it gets much tougher after those introductory levels. And that's a good thing. It comes down to trial-and-error most of the time, but it's plenty satisfying when that perfect score is finally earned.

It's not particularly classy, nor are the numerous spelling and grammar mistakes in the alerts. It's disappointing, frankly. There's a neat idea in Toy Factory and a game can that work, but unless players are prepared to spend money that's as far as it goes.

Even though Infiltrator's controls could use a little tweaking, they're still extremely intuitive. The combat is very satisfying and exhilarating when it flows properly. Plus old chapters can be reloaded to earn even more cash if things start to get too tough. I have to admit I'm very, very impressed.

Gridrunner, much like the rest of Jeff Minter's games on iOS, is a must-buy. He's actually one of the few developers that I would buy a game from as soon as I found out it was available, and I'll keep up with this.

If it weren't for the control issues, I'd think much more of Gravity Project. It's a cool idea and the levels are suitably intense and funky, but a game that requires split-second timing and fast reflexes needs to react much better (and much more consistently) than this.
