Grinsia is a decent RPG and will probably be fun for anyone who enjoyed Fantasy Chronicle and other games by this developer. But be wary of the lag problems.

The animated pit droids and environments are extremely well done, and the interstitial cutscenes are fun and comical. Ultimately the game captures a more whimsical side of Star Wars that is often overlooked or under appreciated.

Packed with poisonous mushrooms and stinging bees, Diggin' Dogs is an intriguingly awesome puzzle that introduces three little unsuspecting heros as they search for the golden boot.

Sky Settlers is difficult to get into if the player doesn't have a lot of time to spend to build up their city into a money and battery earning machine. This will detour most, but will entice those who are into sims.

Even without the GPS usage, Paper Baron is still a fun if simple way to pass the time. It can be played in long intervals or short bursts, and the ability to overthrow a friend could most likely create some pretty intense rivalries.

Hugo Retro Mania might not be the next hit, but I assume this would be a cool game to grab for fans of the old TV show.

Beatstream is a rhythm game that dynamically generates levels to go along with a player's music library. The graphics are unimpressive, but the game play is fun and the replay value is as big as one's catalog of music.

This game is challenging, and would remain so even if the controls were a little more easy to handle.

Blind Tennis had the potential to be one of the great, little, high-concept games the App Store excels at creating. It's a shame then that in order to appreciate the new ideas it offers, players will have to be willing to suffer through too many basic, mundane shortcomings.

Bitter Sam may descend but it's not a deep plunge, nor is it innovative. But its comic appeal makes it a great a pick-up-a-play option for anyone who enjoys a pinch of irony with their gaming quick-fix.

It might not be a game worth playing for hours on end but there is enjoyment to be had through Guess Your Song. For free, it's worth a glance, especially in group situations.

Quote Unquote is a fun and novel game. Finding the answers in famous quotes isn't a gimmick and it's really unique. Anyone who loves crosswords will enjoy this app for sure.

Spinbot Battles is not as tight or exciting as a robot action game probably should be. Still, give it a chance and it may prove to be as rewarding as all games should strive to be.

Big Win Soccer is certainly a compelling experience. The card collection aspect is very clever indeed, but it's just a shame everything is so expensive.

Light the Flower is an extremely likeable game. It has such a simple premise yet, like all good puzzle games, it's hard to master.

While some aspects did annoy me with the combat and platforming, overall this is an extremely enjoyable action-RPG experience. The classical elements are there but it's not overwhelmingly retro, and it is definitely worth checking out.

The design has charm, but because there is so much starting over the game can feel a little repetitive. That's offset, however, by the moments of real humor and the solid old school gameplay.

What saves Lightspeed Bit Bit for me are the Obstacle Mode puzzles, in which the ship must be guided through a maze of moving bars.

Anyone with a love of dogfighting should definitely check out Sky Gamblers: Air Superiority. With so many options for both single and multiplayer game types, it's bound to keep them entertained for a very long time.

Swiping is responsive but the tiles are a little small, depending on the letter, which can make slashing cumbersome. With practice though, this does become a bit more natural. It's worth pursuing as the game is a fun mix of genres and makes a welcome change.

Little Ghost is a well-designed game that's just far too easy, although that's not to say it isn't enjoyable. The controls also deserve some kudos too, as they are very well done.

And yet with all of these complaints I still find myself thoroughly enjoying Invader Hunter. It could certainly do with some adjustments, but it's the kind of loot-hunting/crafting that speaks to me.

In summary, the game is exactly what a backgammon app should be. It has a great look, detailed instructions, and is faithful to the original game. The number of match-making offerings is impressive and the controls are easy to use.

Really, the only thing about Battleloot Adventure that might deter the loot-hungry iOS gamer is the 600+ megabytes it occupies. Aside from that it's cheap, addictive, nice to look at, and quite a bit of fun.
