Justice is definitely served for Zack!

I don't exaggerate when I say that Zack Snyder's Justice League is my new favorite movie. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough Darkseid, but outside of that, there isn't really anything wrong with this movie to me.

To the critics who say the movie is too long, and say that the first hour of the movie is really sluggish, they are wrong, as I went through it really fast without realizing it. The movie is the perfect length for what it wanted to do.

There was even a surprise or two that got me really excited.

Pat yourself on the back, Zack Snyder. I hope the Snyderverse gets restored. This is easily your best work.… Expand

Every scenes would give you a goosebumps, it was really nice of them to incorporate all the previous released DC so that the non DC fans could understand better and probably would make more sense to them about the characters n their role.
Literally its a treat for every DC fans out their i hope WB understands the potential of this universe and carries on with it hope for the best.

There were actualy stakes now, as the mother boxes and Steppenwolf/Darkseid were explained in detail. The soundtrack really helped elevate the tension. In the original theatrical release the heroes fighting Superman felt cheesy and comical at times. In the Snyder Cut the fight had a lot more build up and was filled with tension, it was the opposite of cheesy and slapstick.

The soundtrack did get a little repetitive at times, such as Wonder Womans music. Some of the effects weren't that great. I found the film to be a wonderful watch, only dragged down by repetitive music and some effects not looking too great.… Expand

A 10 here is just lying. The reshot footage looks abysmal and clearly spliced together. 4 hours of meandering superhero plot is not fun. I don't know which cut is worse, at least the Whedon cut wasted less of my time

- The fights in the first third have real impact and are really well choreographed. The hits have real impact and are brutal. There's a genuine sense of tension in the first third, especially the fight where Steppenwolf fights the Amazons.
- Some of the shots are gorgeous and beautiful. There's such a love for the comics in the film.
- Barry Allen's first and last scene are gorgeous set pieces
- Junkie Xl's score uses DC's motifs in a beautiful way, especially Superman's Flight and Hope themes.
- I love how brutal Darkseid is and how they set him up for future installments
- There's a heroic, grim, mythic tone to the piece that's really welcoming amidst the MCU's quip heavy dialogue.

Things I didn't love
- While the film has an overall grim tone...nothing really bad happens to the heroes or the world itself (with any lasting consequences), making the whole thing seem uneven. - The characters aren't emotionally or physically challenged in a way with lasting consequences, making Steppenwolf's actions seem light. - The characters (for the exception of one) don't change in any meaningful ways aside from agreeing to join the team. Batman has hope. The flash is goofy. Aquaman is gruff and has funny catchphrase. Wonderwoman is there too.
- The character who does undergo the most change (Cyborg) doesn't have a meaningful relationship with the person who he's trying to save. They neither reconcile nor fall apart, making the ending between them not land emotionally.
- There are whole scenes where nothing happens and it's just a fountain of exposition (see: the epilogue)
- The Flash's last scene is emotionally impactful and beautiful, but it doesn't really address or move forward any of his character's quest or development. It seems like it's just there and the arc leading up to it somehow got cut.
- The film as a whole lacks a sense of momentum and urgency. While bad things happen to the world, our heroes never seem to be in a terrible rush to fix them or suffer any considerable losses that cause them to question their goal.
- The heroes don't really have relationships that develop with each other. They join forces, that's essentially it.

So yeah, I dunno. I don't think ZS' Justice League is a pile of poo or a masterpiece. It's something in the middle. In a better world, I do wonder what the project would've looked like if there was a supportive studio behind it that gave notes to smooth out the storybeats without destroying the original vision of the project.… Expand

The snyder cut, which i for one will be referring to as the definitive Justice League movie from now on, gave me goosebumps at times and I was in shock and awe in others.... how could this have been deemed as the lesser of the versions of the movies by anyone is beyond me! But I am glad we got to see it in all of its glory.

It is not without its flaws, I am sure if it were to have a conventional theatrical release, the movie would have been slimmed down a little, but for me personally, I didn't even notice the 4 plus house hour runtime, I was thoroughly engrossed in the story and the spectacle... n surely as fans this is what we want first and foremost! I thank warner brothers and zak snyder, for giving us this movie, when it would have been so easy, easier in fact for the studio to put this on a shelf and forget about it, and possibly for zak due to the huge personal tragedy he went through during initial production.… Expand

Even with that in mind, it should have been cut to an hour buildup. Overall it was a solid upgrade to the mismatched previous version. It was darker and lacking any heart, as well as fun. So this was Snyder's Watchmen revision. Great for diehard fans, but overall just a messy lackluster script and poor actor chemistry.… Expand

They fixed so much of what I hated about JL when I saw it in theatures it was originally a very bad avengers, rushed character development and plot was useless this fixes all of it and gives it a darker more DC feel to it. If your a fan of Snyder’s work on MOS and BVS ultimate edition, you will love this movie. It really gives meaning to all the characters and there’s a lot more at stake. It looked polished to me. Definitely worth the wait.

This movie us clearly superior to the Whedon cut. It's beautiful, the characters are fully fleshed out, and Henry Cavill's CGI'd out moustache is gone. A truly great film and I hope we get to see more from the Snyder-verse. F*** you Joss Whedon.

Does it still wildly misunderstand the characters and have them behave like joyless, dour, and morose gods who seem completely disconnected from their human side? Sure. Does it still wildly misunderstand the characters and have them behave like joyless, dour, and morose gods who seem completely disconnected from their human side? Sure. Did Zack Snyder reign in his worst tendencies? No. It's a bloated 4 hours with too much slow mo and a ridiculous aspect ratio for home release and an aversion to color that is comically absurd. Snyder films also have this whole pretentious angle to them where you can feel him really hamfistedly trying to make points about big ideas or issues through his superhero films. It's fine to make a point. It can be great. Captain America Civil War and James Bond Skyfall were two films that did an amazing job of being blockbusters that dealt with deeper themes. Those were good fun films too. Snyder just doesn't really seem to understand how to have fun with these characters and fails to really let any of them have a personality. That makes his pretentious statements about stuff cringey because they don't make sense. If you love his stuff? Sure, you'll love this. If you don't? You will probably like this better than the original but you're not going to watch it several times a year like you might with, say, The Dark Knight because it's just missing humanity. It makes sense that Snyder made Cyborg the main character: he's gotta be a robot because he just doesn't understand humans.… Expand

After watching it, you can’t go back and see the theatrical cut the same, it is almost laughable in comparison. WB will have a real tough time on their hands if they were now to try continue the story of the Justice League from the cut they released theatrically. If Snyder’s cut doesn’t get a sequel or two after that cliff hanger, I will be gutted!!!… Expand

One of the best movie i've ever seen, steppenwolf, finally feels badass and he feels alive, because SemenWolf from Josstice league was pure cgi monster without feelings and motivation. And cyborg real surprised me, now when he got good background - he one of the best characters in film. The flash also pretty good, scene from the ending with the flash something fantastic, in the Josstice league he maximum have been a clown. Yes, there is new information in this film vs the original. Yes, there are more things to look at. Yes, we're now able to know more about some of the characters than we did in the first version. That's just grand. Even so, this extra stuff doesn't make it a good movie - it just makes it extra. Even with this director's better understanding of action, the movie is just as boring as the original. With all that action, it's still a slog. Snyder's Justice League feels like nothing more than fan service. It most certainly doesn't feel like a single cohesive movie. It's bloated and slow, with cringeworthy dialogue at times, and simply doesn't satisfy as a film. This could've been a better movie. It feels like a better movie is in there somewhere.… Expand

I really did not like this. It was much better than Batman vs Superman, but 4 hours was way too long and it just felt like it was droning on. I began this movie thinking there is no way they could fix the atrocity of the original Whedon Justice League (2017) but I have always been a huge Zack Snyder fan, so I had some sort of hope that the movie would be at least watchable. it is astonishing that anyone at WB actually let them release the original film in 2017. if this movie had been released in the theatres it would have been a billion dollar movie.
The visuals in this film are incredible. the soundtrack is powerful. They turned cyborg and flash, two of the worst characters in comic book movie history. and they actually made them have a purpose in this. I thought cyborg was the worst superhero in any blockbuster I had ever seen 4 years ago. but they just cut out all of his good scenes and tried to make him funny, This movie fixes that. The flash went from the most disappointing character in the entire DCEU and turned him into my favorite in the franchise.
The Awful humor and jokes made for a 10 year old are gone, they made batman feel like batman should. Without spoilers, the ending scene with the flash is one of my favorite comic book film moments ever. One of the biggest things people should note from this film is Joss Whedon is an awful director and what he released 4 years ago is a sin. My only true grievance with this movie is the aspect ratio. I wish I could experience this film on an Imax with a crowd of people but that isn't Snyder's fault. There was one cameo that really wouldn't make much sense to a non comic book fan. and I think they could have been written a little better. This movie will be remembered. I have made a promise to myself to never watch the 2017 JL again because this is better in every aspect. DC needs to stop trying to be like marvel. their worst movies are the ones more family friendly. This movie is a love note to DC fans.… Expand
