Zack Snyder, the king of drawing out moves with way too many slow motion sequences, outdoes himself by somehow ruining the pacing within already slogged down sequences by making a multitude of awkward choices. Want to hear a couple of ladies sing for some reason? You see it’s cool because it’s not in English and might make you think of something from a better movie. Didn’t think you got enough time eying a briefcase in slow-mow? This movie’s got you covered. Want to see a sesame seed up close for longer than a second for what is basically no reason? No? Too bad. I’ve heard other people say this before, but this prince of everything surface basically made parts of the movie a lame slow motion music video. These scenes are meaningless. Yes it is more. Much more, but none of it added up to create something more interesting this time around. Here’s a new drinking game for this and all future Snyder movies. Drink every time a pop ballad plays and excessive slow motion is forced to begin. I swear he doesn’t actually think anything out. He just says to himself, “you know what would look cool” and goes no deeper then that. F#@k your 4 hour movie. It should have been trimmed.… Expand

For Autumn! I loved every bit of it. WB not letting this get released and releasing 2017 version is one of the greatest tragedies ever. This is the bomb. 4 hours long but not even a single minute was boring! Snyder Cut is Superior!

Justice League Is Amazing, Zack Snyder knew how to redirect the movie with a different plot than seen in theaters. I find it a clearer view of the plot and the way he develops the characters is perfect.

Zack Snyder's vision was right from the beginning. Whedon's version is now pointless. For me, this was the best Heroes movie since the dark Knight trilogy and the almost 4 went fly by. A true work of love to honor Autumn.

Epic! 10x better than the original. Much better character and story development , incredible action but with much stronger buildup. The original was just a quick hit action flick. This is much more true of an epic comic series.

Its of 4 hours but still seems less.

The starting amazon part was fantastic, The story of Victor, was so good that people could connect to it. Barry's scene in climax made me look in awe!

Each and every scene in the movie has a depth to it. I'm not a huge fan of DC but I felt immense satisfaction deep within me after watching this.

This movie showed us that comedy in a superhero movie (Marvel Formula) isn't needed for a movie to be successful.
This movie showed us people will watch a 4 hours movie if the story, screenplay, sound mixing, etc is good.
This movie showed us that people don't care about the weird aspect ratio of movie, we just want masterpieces like this!

If this version was released in 2017, trust me, Marvel Avengers Infinity War and Endgame would be judged compared to this! I don't know why Joss Whedon massacred this beautiful masterpiece.

The movie has something within it that makes each and every one of us to connect to it on some level! I could go one praising this! Everyone despite a Marvel Fan or DC Fan or not, must watch this!
My Rating 11/10.

I wish people would join force again to continue Zack Snyder version of Justice League. Like how we all united and petitioned for this release.… Expand

Se toma su tiempo en explicar cada punto pero llega un momento de emoción en que no quieres que se acabe una experiencia grandiosa de principio a fin, es larga pero si pasas de la primera hora es una emoción tras otra, para mí un 9.5/10 con muchísimas ganas de continuar con esa visión de Snyder, nada que ver con la versión de Whedon, tenemos un villano memorable, mis aplausos, hasta sentí pena por la muerte de steppenwolf… Expand

Watched all 4 hours in one go and the corpos thought this is the version that would tank the franchise? Wonder Woman's power level is properly scary here, a 4 block explosion that doesn't look like a joke, the way she retracts her lasso and pulls up her shield after smashing through Steppenwolf, Aquaman treated seriously, and with so many good Cyborg scenes and none of the stupid unnecessary jokes. Superman actually had less onscreen time here and Snyder didn't waste him. Snyder must come back after that ending. He has to.… Expand

Gone are the Marvel-Disney slapstick humor (only meant for idiots), the ugly, garish, over-colored, cartoon-like palette, and the shoddy audio score. Included now are lengthy character arcs, with compelling character development all-throughout. The visual set-pieces are inventive and exciting. After watching Josh Wheden version first and then watching Zack Snyder version afterwards is like watching day and night version. I've never written a review before but I've just finished ZSJL and I am absolutely blown away. When the original "version" was released in 2017 I left the cinema feeling absolutely nothing but disappointment. The film that Joss Whedon hadI've never written a review before but I've just finished ZSJL and I am absolutely blown away. When the original "version" was released in 2017 I left the cinema feeling absolutely nothing but disappointment. The film that Joss Whedon had presented was not just disjointed and rushed, it was soulless. Whether you liked Man of Steel or BvS or not, there was a clear continuation of the narrative and characters with depth who you actually cared about. Zack Snyder's fully realised version of Justice League isn't just better, it's a completely new movie.

Ray Fisher's portrayal of Cyborg is absolutely incredible. Cyborg goes from being an afterthought in the Whedon version, to an integral and central character. His performance is simply incredible. With a proper backstory and fleshed out characteristics with complexities instead of just being a background character, he shines. We are given a storyline which actually makes sense and fits in with the previous narratives and characters. The Whedon version had so many contradictions to what had come before, it just didn't make any kind of sense. Aquaman's backstory now ties in with his solo movie instead of contradicting it. Wonder Woman is back to being a badass instead of the sexualised object that Whedon portrayed. Ezra Miller's Flash is given a proper story which, again, makes his character infinitely better. Finally, Ben Affleck. Put simply, this movie fully confirms him as the greatest version of Bruce Wayne/ Batman to ever grace the screen. I'm a huge fan of Bale and Keaton, absolutely love those movies, but Affleck's portrayal, again, butchered by Whedon, takes on a whole new level of leading role. The action sequences are simply breathtaking. The finale is as good as any across all, and I do mean all, of the previous comic book movies. At 4 hours long you'd think I would've been counting down the minutes til it ended. I actually found the opposite, I was dreading the end Co I'd just absolutely immersed myself into this incredible, incredible world that Snyder had created. If this is the of the Snyder universe then it will be an absolute travesty, but what a way to bow out. Simply incredible… Expand

I am so glad I finally got to see the director's true vision. Of course that vision was a lot of crap, but I still relish the opportunity. And it bogles me how the he@# that WB executives saw this 'initial cut' as a failure? Yes, it is not the MCU, but a different variety of it and dare I say, comparable in quality. Synder's true vision of Justice League is an absolute masterpiece that lives up to the hype. Darkseid is an absolute gem and Steppenwolf is also greatly improved as a villain with a redesign and an actual backstory.

The first 3 parts were not great for me. The music videos he put in reminded me of the Watchmen, and not in a good way. In a sappy, overly sentimental way. Zak Snyder's Justice League is a vast improvement on the original (of which I gave a 5 out of 10). The pros: The story, character development and equal screen-time to all the heroes. Steppenwolf's master plan is also far superior and thoug this film will potentially not have a sequel, it is open ended enough to make fans excited.

The cons: The runtime could have been trimmed by 20 minutes or so, as there are far too many slow scenes involving a folk song (I really don't need to see Lois get a slo-mo Starbucks order). The 4:3 aspect ratio at times can be strange at time as it was designed for IMAX, but as most people will be watching from home TVs the square viewing is a bit jarring. Overall a much better film (that unfortunately probably would have met with as much criticism if not for the original). Zak Snyder always wants to be epic, studios just try to hard to reign him in.… Expand

I recognize that while we have been treated to a new level of excellence in the genre over the past decade, the majority of what is released, especially by DC comics, is simply another comic book movie. While this film is largely the sameI recognize that while we have been treated to a new level of excellence in the genre over the past decade, the majority of what is released, especially by DC comics, is simply another comic book movie. While this film is largely the same story as the original theatrical release only at twice the duration make no mistake; this is not just another superhero film. The additional footage is seamlessly added to the original journey of Bruce Wayne to recruit more heroes to face an imminent threat from an ancient, interstellar threat. True humanity, global stakes and high drama contribute to the scope of what can only be described as a proper epic. Justice League was written by Chris Terrio, Will Beall, and Zack Snyder and directed by Snyder. It stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ray Fisher, Jason Momoa, and Ezra Miller as the heroes of the Justice League. Supporting characters include Amy Adams as Lois, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Connie Nielson as Queen Hippolyta, Joe Morton as Silas Stone, and Amber Heard as Mera. Jesse Eisenberg and Jared Leto reprise their villainous roles of Lex Luthor and the Joker in brief. Again, the story opens with a world in mourning over the death of Superman, and Bruce Wayne’s impossible quest to find more super-powered beings to protect the planet in the absence of Kal-El. Diana has also returned to her life as a simple museum researcher, only occasionally appearing as Wonder Woman to battle pockets of terror as they appear. Unknown to them both, the threat to Earth is beyond imminent, and the need to build a team of strength and number is already at hand. Steppenwolf, a warrior of immense power from outside our galaxy has come to the island of Themiscyra to pry from the Amazons a “Mother Box.” This is an ancient item of mystical strength that when paired with two other boxes in the possession of Atlantis and surface humans, will foretell the return of world-conqueror Darkseid. Steppenwolf does indeed procure the first box from the Amazons and quickly turns his attention to Atlantis, and the surface world, to obtain the final two, and bring sure destruction to the planet. The additional time is not wasted in this film. Yes, it feels like a four-hour movie, and you will sometimes wonder if the new material is what you have seen before, for the genius of editing. Great care is given to the introductions and origins of Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman. The additional footage of these characters becomes absolutely critical to the film and one will not be able to view the origins presented in the first film without knowing so much is missing. The family and romantic ties of these three newest Justice Leaguers is often tender, and sometimes enraged. These become not only characters in a film, but flawed and frightened human beings uncertain of their roles in the larger world nevertheless a superhero team. Supporting characters such as Lois Lane, Alfred, Gordon, Martha Kent and Mera are also expanded to connect them to the larger epic. One can sympathize with Ray Fisher’s displeasure when the true level of how much his character had been abridged in the theatrical release is realized. The new movie no longer begins with the low droning “Hallelujah” of the original release, although a variation of the song appears in the end credits. Instead, the earlier scenes revealing the many characters are beautifully framed by the haunting chords of lovely folk-style music in full harmony. This is one of the most remarkable soundtracks in recent memory, both mellow and intense, and leading to a powerful score toward the later battles. We are treated to more respectful effects, from the appearance of Steppenwolf, to the vast apocalyptic landscapes created slowly, branching out to much larger visions. The extra time given to cinematography is not wasted. The saga of Superman and his rebirth is also given the time it deserves, simplified by a more thorough explanation, and given much higher drama as a result. The love of Zack Snyder for this world and these heroes, however, is the heart of the story. Zack is responsible for the cinematic entry of 300 of course, as well as many of the contemporary entries of the DC Cinematic Universe. Justice League, this cut, the Snyder Cut, is very clearly his opus. Epic in its scale, this is a superhero movie that takes itself seriously, even more so than the Infinity Saga and Endgame with all of their death and despair. Even Dark Knight wasn’t “so serious” after all. Snyder’s triumph isn’t in just making a better Justice League movie, but in making the one we deserved all along. It's not only his obvious love for the humanity of these characters he plays with that endures, but his clear love for the humanity of the audience. I think I would like to see many more superhero films taken this seriously. Hopefully Warner Brothers, and even Disney, is paying attention.… Expand

This cut is 1000% better than Whedon's. No cheesy lines, no mustache-gate, no non-sense. I can watch 40 more hours of this. This movie is so good!!! I NEED A SNYDERVERSE!!!

Much better than the 2017 version, the 2017 was so bad i didnt even remember what it was about, now i was able to comprehend what was happening, an average user that does not know much about the characters might be still confused, but an entry level one like me was able to understand it. The coloring makes it a bit more serious and some cringe jokes were removed, the characters are now more in-depht and the justice league finally works as a team, instead of superman doing 99% of the job. A great improvement and a must watch if you're a dc fan… Expand

Basically what we were waiting for since 2016. What i ride, they basically checked every box. 4 awesome hours this movie will go in the books. I got 2 Critics :

Reality is however that this is an entirely new movie we've really never seen before, and add in that this movie was really given life by its audience, and it becomes a must see. It's a vastly improved, tonally consistent, far more expository adventure in the DC Extended Universe that is a must see if just for the unusual nature of its genesis and the whole sale rebuilding of the movie that occurred. Beyond the bare bones of the prior version still being there this is an almost completely different movie with even the shared shot having undergone drastic changes, for the better. I just hope it leads to more of its version of the DCEU in the future because this really should have been the version that they released from the get go.… Expand

First off, the decision to release it in 4:3 format is one of the dumbest "creative" decisions I've ever seen. They literally shot the whole movie for widescreen and intentionally went back and reformatted to an Imax format (4:3) for EXCLUSIVE release on a STREAMING service, where the VAST, VAST majority of people watch on widescreen TV's. So 1/3 of the screen is black bars and looks like a VHS movie from the 90's. Just boggles my mind. It's AWFUL. And the sound for me was all over the place. One second it's whisper quiet dialogue, the next my room is shaking. I normally watch stuff on my TV at 18-20 volume. I had to crank this up to 55-60. Could be a thing on my end, but I've had this TV for 3 years now and NEVER had volume issues like this. Just THIS movie. The movie itself tries to be a live action baroque art installation, which can be cool, in moderation, but after every single shot being this way, it can be easy to roll your eyes and stop caring. It's got it's ups and downs. If you have a low tolerance for nonsense, this isn't your movie. It doesn't even really try to be grounded in reality, which for me, just makes me not care. It's mostly just mindless, heavily stylized, nonsense. Would not recommend.… Expand

A mature movie as it should be... VERY DARK!!!

If This movie filled me with joy and sadness at the same time. the joy is that this is a masterpiece and the sadness that it wasn't released a long time ago, so the Dark universe was exploding today in all directions.
This only shows that the fake Director that replaced Snyder should have never directed that movie, they should have waited. Sometimes Delaying something amazing is better than ruining it as they did with the first version.
I can't stress this enough, Go watch it :D

I liked this version much better than the 2017 Justice League. The movie is just too long. There are several parts in the movie, that if they changed just a couple things, would make it much better, and maybe even great. My wife and I both rolled our eyes a few times at scenes that were being dragged out for far to long with music that was like nails on a chalkboard. The only other drawback obviously was the 4 hour run time. Had they done things like marvel did, fleshing out the universe before a big movie like this, it wouldn't have needed to be 4 hrs long. In short, the story was better fleshed out and made more sense. Character writing was done much better. Action scenes were added and improved upon. This movie is worth a watch, especially if you are a fan and/or were disappointed by the original justice league movie.… Expand

Importance of flash cyborg Aquaman wonder woman in the fight with Steppenwolf was clearly depected. I was not a fan with the depiction of batman in the previous version but I liked the batman of zynder's justice league. I do realise if this would be the final cut in 2017 many of the scene would have to be cut short but but still it would have been much more better than what we got.… Expand

Just way better than the original one. Yes it's long but it has to be that long. Could have been 2 movies. Sadly we probably will not see a sequel, at least not a Snyder sequel.
