I only seemed to come on here and leave feedback on movies that pissed me off and took my money. So here I am trying to remedy that with what I thought was one of the best superhero movies ever presented on the big screen. The director Patty Jenkins deserves to take the DC Universe on her back and run with all future movies. She obviously has a flair for it. Only Thor:Ragnarok was more enjoyable this year, and that was because it was friggin funny and fun.

The telling of Wonder Woman was long overdue. She is a legend in the superhero world of comics and after seeing it she might be the greatest of them all. Gal Gadot is breathtakingly beautiful, but she has the acting chops and athleticism to play this role. I believe in her and Patty Jenkins got me to do so. Both ladies deserve awards of some kind, and I hope it is Oscars, but will gladly take anything they get from the fans who are the reason movies are made. If you have not seen any superhero movie yet for whatever reason you hold onto, please break that glass on your opinionated inner-self and go see this one. You will appreciate you did.

It also has a little comedy and Chris Pine is obviously a good actor that doesn´t disappoint. Visuals are great as expected. What gives it a special touch is the World War I based story. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad: movies that had good movie trailers but didn't live up to the hype. I'm glad I was wrong. This is the first DC movie, since Christian Bale's Batman movies, that lives up to it's potential. Gal Gadot is very surprising. I liked her in the Fast and the Furious franchise, but was unsure about her casting initially. I originally thought an
American actress should have played Wonder Woman; and to be honest a part of me still does. Gadot is badass though. Just when I thought I couldn't like Chris Pine anymore then I already do, Wonder Woman shows that I was wrong. Wonder Woman is not without it's flaws; but this DC outing shows promise for it's future.

The last fight seems unnecessary and overexaggerated when compared to the rest of the movie. If it wasn't for that one moment, I'd give it a 10/10. It still is one of the best movies of the year so far though. It's an awesome feeling to know that DC is learning how to make superhero movies and so is Fox. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Criticism: Before I grumble I must say the following. The film is not bad, however, in view of what we from great hero's films are simply lived too weakly. Visually the film has well succeeded. The native country of the amazons looks good and the costumes as well as the fight choreography is convincing. If the film changes in the world of the people in the First World War it goes downhill. Wonder Woman irritates with her cheeky flap and shows off better as what. From adaptation no track. And also this time the bad Germans with her mustard gas must hold out again. Must this be again? A film in many scenes is irritating and offers less like the previous great hero's films. Expand

Few action sequences, slow paced, most of the characters are terribly miscast, including Nielsen and Wright. The worst issue is Gadot herself, coming out as an extremely inadequate Wonder Woman in comparison with the comics. Also the inclusion of Chris Pine is a direct attempt at undermining the WW character. Female leads do NOT need a wing-man to hold them. So the movie shoots itself in the foot. A reboot should come sooner than later. Expand

Packed with action and likable characters, the DC franchise is finally improving fast with this wonderfully directed and well written flick. Princess Diana and Steven Trevor as our main characters are both somewhat developed throughout the film, with some personal struggles and even some moral questions are often raised. This is closely interconnected with the main story, where Hans Zimmer’s score and the excellent crafted slow-mo & action-sequences, made one get goose bumps. The WW1-feel and the small (almost romantic) moments between our main characters are also a big plus. The downside to all this is the anticlimactic and cheesy 3rd act, where a “new” and unnecessary villain was introduced with an enormous lack of inside, and a messy structure of nothing more than vague CGI ”Snyder”- action. Still, ‘Wonder Woman’ is definitely DC’s best to date, and very up to expectations from my part!

But what there is more to highlight are the performances: Gal Gadot here proves once again that it is the best choice that could be made, one falls in love with her and her charisma takes this film forward and Chris Pine gets to have an excellent chemistry with she. I wrote this review in one of my blogs in June. I saw Wonder Woman Thursday night and I will start off by saying Warner Brothers pulled a rabbit out of the hat. The metaphor fits in more than one way. But in this case it is about going backI wrote this review in one of my blogs in June. I saw Wonder Woman Thursday night and I will start off by saying Warner Brothers pulled a rabbit out of the hat. The metaphor fits in more than one way. But in this case it is about going back to old school. Rabbit out of the Hat is a classic magic trick for the ages. This film may not quite be one for the ages, but it is done in classic style.

This movie did something that so many films today fail to do. They decided to go back to the timeless idea that a good movie should always tell us a good story. Storytelling is a lost art in Hollywood these days, what with all the explosions, fake blood, super aliens, and wise cracks, that allow a good movie to get away with a wobbly story. But a great movie can not be great without at least a solid B+ story.

Patty Jenkins gives us simple, but well thought out story and presents it with emotion, humor, superpowers, explosions, and of course bloodthirsty Germans, gotta have that right? Wonder Woman doesn’t try too hard to be all things, like Batman v Superman did. We all know how well that worked out. No, Warner Brothers went to the age-old well of storytelling that all of us have always enjoyed dating back to our earliest memories. “Hey Grandpa, tell me story about the olden days…”

And so they did. They went back a hundred years so grandpa had to tell a story that his grandma told him, methinks. This did not need to be a super hero movie featuring one of the greatest of all comic book characters to be good. The story was good. This is a period piece and WB did an excellent job of immersing us in the WWI era. Industrial Age London comes alive with reasonable period costumes and all the modern trickery that made the city of London look like that smelly, smokey **** hole it was in 1917.

The story they give us, was well done, not fantastic, not the greatest ever told, but a solid well spun tale. While telling us a story about the malleable soul of man and the nature of what we are, we also get a story about a great war with a decent bit of historical value, and a diabolical plot by a powerful antagonist. We get a nice twist in the story and a villain we don’t expect. We get some superhero kick ass, we get a little Shakespearian drama, we get a fair amount of funny, and Patty Jenkins pulls off making Wonder Woman look so epic all the time. Just standing there she looks like a boss.

This was a really great story. I am not certain why they went to WWI instead of WWII but that’s OK because I was getting a little tired of all the Nazis over there in the Marvel Universe. A little classic ‘Kaiser’ was a nice change of villainous scenery.

As I predicted in the last article, Ms. Gadot delivers. She has it all, the class, the grace, the style, and when needed the ultimate bad ass complete with a full shot of intense. She is regal and she is a frickin’ boss on the battlefield. What the hell more do we need than that?

Chris Pine continues to impress me. He plays the same character in this film as he does in Star Trek and he even has the same rank. But he gives us a fine performance as the mortal hero to contrast our demigod title character.

At the end of the film I did feel they made her just a tick too powerful. My beef with Superman has always been that he is basically God and of course they created Kryptonite to give him a weakness. Diana gets a little too close to the Kryptonians on the power meter, but that is a minor issue that is quite forgivable.

I would ask you to sit through the entirety of the movies long credit roll so you can see the epic Bruce Wayne after credit scene, but there isn’t one so stay if you want. If the 42oz soda is calling you to the restroom, it’s safe to go, I stayed and there was no after credit scene.

My friends this film isn’t the best superhero movie, but what I really like about it is the storytelling; this is great storytelling. The movie had some holes and they probably left some stuff on the cutting room floor that should have been left in. With a 2:21 running time though, I understand the cuts. We are left with a nice clean origin story in a historical context, and all the great superhero stuff needed for a great superhero movie.

This is the best DC movie ever made not featuring the Bat. DC is back and they mean business. Sure, there are many little gripes I could write about, but I won’t, because I left the theater with a buzz like I did when I was ten years old and grandma spun a wild yarn about the olden days. Hollywood needs to give us a lot more movies like this.

(dedicated to my paternal grandmother who did indeed spin wild yarns of yesteryear to a wide-eyed little grandson and later on a young adult grandson. Esther Sager – 1897-1992)

The beginning of the movie on her secluded island is kind of rushed. Conflict shows up way too quickly and when an "important" character is lost I realized she really didn't have much screen time or lines.
I did like, at first, how Diana was a little young and naive when she stepped out into the real world but then I found it annoying as she didn't catch on to how the world really works. She came across as whiny far too often, just like in the clip on this page above.
The side characters were varied and interesting but, again, we really didn't get to know them aside from the main characters.
I found the Ares identity reveal really contrived. The character he was posing as was really in no place to push world war and was actively trying to do the opposite by signing an armistice with the enemy. Seemed forced just for the shock effect. I would have been happier if there was no physical embodiment of war and Diana just realized that violence was inherently a part of man. So, no lesson learned on her part.
Was the beginning of this movie happening during the events of Batman vs Superman? Was that connection or jump through time really needed at all?
A hero's sacrifice at the end of the movie all seemed forced and unnecessary.
Wonder Woman had some great fight scenes and has one of the best superhero scores of this decade. I loved the WWI setting because WWII seems to be more of a focus in Hollywood.
This was definitely the best of the DC films to date, but not the second coming as some are claiming.

"I am Diana of Themyscira, daughter of Hippolyta, and your wrath upon this world is over"

Lynda Carter got, not only the sex symbol label in the seventies at the expense of her courageous performance over three seasons in the DC Comics TV series, she also was proud of embodying for the very first time a strong, intelligent, charismatic and comprehensive woman both on the small screen, in the comic universe of superheroes and in that misogynist society of which we have not been getting away yet. However, like everything in this earthly life, the exuberant actress had to say goodbye to her time of victory, leaving as a reminder an unblemished legacy, inherent nostalgia emerging from this character and seven decades of vignettes that made the delights of comic lovers of yesteryear. However, the social, political and cultural phenomenon threatens to come out again thanks to the triumph of a war/comic/superhero/dramatic/romantic—and before all these banal classifications—inspirational and transcendent production, which was conceived by director Patty Jenkins next to new and perfect Wonder Woman actress, Gal Gadot, of course, with the extensive assistance of a unisex crew, captained economically, by American monster film production company Warner Bros.

As a general rule, each released movie must follow, at least, a specific storyline in connection with the universe that the studio wishes to put together, such as its counterpart Marvel Studios, because of which, the events are placed just after the ending of "Batman V Superman", with a seasoned and circumspect Diana Prince receiving a package, which motivates the corresponding presentation of her origins, using as a narrative conductor a shabby photograph taken on her first vacation to the harsh, fierce and paradoxically inhumane real world: the World War I. However, the film slides much further back, promptly to Themyscira, Diana's origin land and an idyllic Greek kingdom where the most powerful, clever and complete females reside, thanks to work and grace of Zeus in order to inspire peace and union in a world tamed by Ares brutality, the main rival of both the father of the gods and the Amazon warriors, a tribe led by overprotective Queen Hippolyta and her sister, General Antiope. The hurdle that, sooner or later, they had to face will come after Steve Trevor, pilot and spy of the United States Army, who accidentally falls into the ocean of the island with a bundle of horrid realities under his arms, forcing the predicted awakening of Wonder Woman.

It was neither for lack of intent nor because of scarcity of support and execution sources, it was by a shortage of professionalism that the superheroines world had not had the succor that male heroes possess today. However, the American huge studios — so similar but so dissimilar — have taken matters into their own hands, either by the unfading desire of fans or by the boom around the absolute abolition of misogyny in the different human fields. Warner Brothers Pictures was the one which took the initiative several years ago, using Zack Snyder as casting director to finally select Gal Gadot, the Wonder Woman from cover to cover by reason of her acting skills and dominant emotional strength as she pops on the screen. While the company was recovering from the colossal setback that meant the inaugural stage of its cinematic universe at the hands of "Man of Steel" (2013), "BvS" (2016) and "Suicide Squad" (2016); the high members deliberated what would be the course that the mega project should take, since although all previous movies had a lucky reception at the box office, they don't convince any one within critics circle. Then, the next step fell into the hands of Jenkins, a director whose experience was strictly based on the small screen and her prestigious directorial debut: "Monster". The writers' and the filmmaker's ambitions to bring back "WW" were so fervent, fascinating and prevailing that the company gave a vote of confidence for an Amazon princess with a nuance much more from Marvel, she is who lifted that vile shade flying over DC, once and for all. And what a success! Sequences as the ascension of the walls of a high tower, the sublime struggle in the arenas of Themyscira, the combat in the village against the German officers or the self-same Zeus or her already classic allegorical scene in which she arises among bullets and explosions, encouraged by the masterful composition of Hans Zimmer; A portentous setting, cinematography and photography that remind the work of "Fantastic Beasts"; first-grade special effects that, although on several occasions are perceptible and somewhat ineffective, draw each of the locations and struggles with an enviable sophistication, a story brimming with love and bravery — thanking a fascinating twist —; high octane performances and a direction teaching in each frame, all that make "Wonder Woman" a wonderful and, for someones, painful triumph.

The cast was actually pretty good and the setting for the story was amazing. Too bad the movie had to lose so much potential due to the PG13 rating, where an R-rating would have been able to exploit brutal battle scenes and could have made the World War 1 setting darker and better fitting. Loved the "smaller" villains (the movie should have done something more with Doctor Poison, who seemed like an interesting character, but this is excused due to the movie already being long), but the movie's major villain was a weak character. Although Wonder Woman has its flaws, it's with no doubt a good movie. ALTHOUGH the biggest flaw of them all was the horrible ending, which pretty much killed it for me. If you can turn the blind eye to the ending then it's a movie you should definitely watch if you enjoy superhero movies. Expand

Not speaking as a feminist here but Wonder Woman had me rooting for her, falling for her, then some more. It goes to show that when you put faith in the right director (Patty Jenkins) and let her do her thing, the result can be good, great or in this case, spectacular. As an aside, I hear talk that superhero movies have hit their peak and audiences are beginning to tire of them. Instead I say we are getting a string of poor to average movies. Give us a credible super villain to hate and one or more superheroes to intelligently kick his super powered butt. Finally layer on top a story worthy of a scene or two of genuine emotion, and collect your money.

Easily the best film in the DCEU, with plenty of chemistry between Gadot and Pine as well as great action sequences and being very memorable and unique overall. This film gives me a bit of hope in DC.

Here are the good things: The protagonists, who were perfectly played and had a very believable and touching romance.

Here are the bad things:
The CGI.
The holy crap over-the-top villains.
This was very predictable, to the point where I knew I was watching a typical superhero film that we have all seen a million other times.
The dialogue was mainly bad, and the message that they tried to deliver with the film was ruined with its presentation.

Yeah. It was just an average movie.

A solid film, but it doesn't do much to distinguish itself. A fun way to kill two hours but don't expect to be thinking about it too much for long after. Still better than BVS where I thought about how horrible it was for months after seeing it.

Expand

It's an wonderful movie not only for its glamour but also for how it embeds deep moral understanding into a touching presentation. However, on some level, it does leave you wanting for more - I guess that's understandable for an superhero origin movie.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Wonder Woman is a breath of fresh air into the DCEU, and has given the franchise hope for success. It is not the best super-hero film, or even my favorite super-hero film to come out this year, but it doesn't have to be the best to deliver a compelling character to the silver screen for the first time. This film contrasts the dark, brooding tone of previous DC films, and is instead filled with color, a courageous and morally grounded character, and even some jokes. The action scenes are, for the most part, pretty fun (I will elaborate when I get to the negatives of the film). Steve Trevor and Wonder Woman have several conversations about humanity, and one in particular, where Steve explains that humanity is not naturally good, is the best part of the movie in my opinion.

However, this movie is by no means perfect. First, I will address the supporting characters. Wonder Woman brings a band of misfits along with her to hunt down Ares, but it seems as if they are completely pointless and serve no purpose in the film. Yes, they do show her different sides to humanity. One is a thief, one is a sharp shooter struggling with PTSD, and the other is a native American (honestly I cannot remember why they brought him along). These characters are used to show Diana that even the "good guys" have dark sides, and have done bad things, but honestly they could have been random soldiers who tagged along instead caricatures.

My biggest gripe with the movie is its ending. While the rest of the movie may have been flavored with a healthy amount of cheese, the end went overboard with the cheese. Firstly, the villain is revealed to be the British counselor character (played by David Thewlis) who has been trying to help Diana and company throughout the movie. Not only does he not look or feel menacing at all, he starts spouting cliche and cheesy villain dialogue. The end fight, instead of being a personal fight like it had been built up to be, turned into a bunch of explosions. Imagine the end of BvS but without Wonder Woman or a villain who can believably best her in combat. There is one point in the fight when lightning blasts out of Ares' hands and he shouts something along the lines of "if you will not join me, I will destroy you!" He was only one cheesy line away from being Emperor Palpatine from Revenge of the Sith at this point. Somehow, after the sacrifice of Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman goes from being easily overpowered by Ares, to possessing the power to instantly obliterate him. It was a cheap payoff for the fight. After Ares' defeat, the sun begins to rise, and all the Germans stop fighting and hug each other. This entire end sequence felt disconnected from the rest of the film, like it had been directed by a different director.

All in all, Wonder Woman is good. Better than almost anything else DC has released, but the end of the movie is what ALMOST ruins it for me. I would recommend this movie. It's still fun with a likable protagonist, but I do not understand all the hype it's getting. If you go into this movie with high expectations, you may be slightly disappointed, but still have a fun time. If you go in without any preconceptions of the film, you will really enjoy it.

If you replace the women with men in this film it would be horrible. I get that we all have desired that strong female super hero and she absolutely is amazing at portraying Wonder Woman. But I was actually not impressed with the plot of this movie. The first 15 minutes were boring and cheesy and the final battle had no real sense of urgency or tactical victory. What made this movie enjoyable was seeing a strong woman in a mans world. And the innocence of how it was done. Again overall good film, I'm excited to see more of her. But don't really expect more than Transformers with beautiful women.

Wonder Woman is a great movie because of what features in it,but although it was a successful they could of used less slow motion. In the movie I liked how they disguised Ares. The movie was intense and heroic, and I think those two words describes the movie. The downer was the love story needed more time its was so quick and fast it was over in a couple of days, because Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) died. There was a much easier way out, but he was a little bit too greedy for that hero position. But it was a great movie and I loved Chris Pine(Steve Trevor) and Gal Godot(Wonder Woman) in it. You should definitely go see it. Expand

I wished I did cause this was the bright spot in the abomination that was BVS. To me this was just an average film, we have seen super-heroes in historic wars before (I.E: Captain America) but this one is just meh. I really didn't care for the movie, I couldn't make sense of it. I don't understand the praise, to me this movie was just average, not deserving a 7.9. I feel like this movie is getting praise because it is the first decent film of the DCEU, not to hate on it. I couldn't care for the character at all because I know there is not stakes considering she makes it to BvS. I see what they tried to do, but I just couldn't get over the fact that it was basically not important. You could easily just skip this movie, I mean if you really care about the back story of wonder woman, but this movie should've came out before BvS then. I just didn't really enjoy the film that much, I did enjoy more than BvS or Suicide Squad, but I liked Man of Steel better than this. I feel like people just love this movie because it is the first DCEU film to not get panned by critics or fans. Don't hate on me just because I hate this movie, because I do like some things about this movie. I loved Chris Pine, I liked the humor, I feel like Gal Gadot did a fine job. This movie just feels unoriginal to me at least. At least with BvS and Suicide Squad, I went in with lowered expectations, with the critical praise this one got, I was pumped and I got burned for it... Expand

I was disappointed to see the amount of real life stereotypes applied in this movie, including accents. This movie has nothing to do with feminism, they simply changed lead character's gender and kept everything else. I feel foolish by having a high expectation for it after overwhelmingly obnoxious/horrid comic-based shows like Iron Fist are being produced. However, I do like the actress despite her sexualized outfits. I won't say this movie is excellent, but it's certainly decent for occasional weekend entertainment. Expand

Now that I've seen it, I am convinced that half of the most vocal, they never did. I didn't detect a whiff of feminist agenda - this is just a heartfelt story. Wonder Woman is a superb film, regardless of whether or not you are into super heroes, and it manages to balance the character's origins beautifully with a modern reinterpretation. The script is excellent, the performances are top-notch, and it is a thrill to the end. I won't spoil anything, but I have to extend my gratitude to everyone involved in this production - very well done, folks. If this and the excellent 'Shazam!' are where DC is headed with its films, I am all in (and I say that having not cared much for their more recent Batman/Superman offerings). Seriously, this is probably the best thing that has ever been done with the Wonder Woman character, and if you have even a modicum of interest, you will be delighted. I am really looking forward to the sequel. Lastly, barring Endgame, Marvel of the past few years should be ashamed of themselves. Expand

"Wonder Woman" is a pleasant surprise in a doomed DCEU: an exciting adventure, a refreshingly different superhero film and an entertaining war movie led by an awesome Gal Gadot.

The Story is mostly well rounded and the supprotig Cast is great (writing and performing). There are only a few low points and I have to point them out. Nice twist with the bad guy, and well played by the actor too!
1st: WWI-Germans were not the Nazis!
2nd: CGI at the end. It was bad. Really, really bad.

It was about time DC made a great job. It's the begining of a great story of one of the best characters ever created, and with a lead that owns it.

Um filme dirigido e estrelado por mulheres que não cogita qualquer barreira de gênero, como a própria Diana jamais cogitou. A princesa das Amazonas só precisava mesmo de oportunidade para mostrar o que podia fazer nos cinemas.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Finally DC made a decent movie for their shared cinematic universe, but it's not that great. I actually enjoyed the movie and I was kind of glad to finally see a big-budget competent superhero movie starring a woman. The movie up until the third act was great, with good pacing, solid acting, good chemistry between Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor, solid writing, I mean the CGI was bad and the action scenes were kind of underwhelming and had ridiculous slow-motion (makes them look really cheesy) and I think that the lack of good action is not a problem when the rest of the aspects of the movie were really good.

However what keeps this movie from being great is the HORRIBLE THIRD ACT. The third act just ruins the whole movie and I'm serious, it makes everything that happened in the movie feel pointless, maybe if they ended the movie after Steve Trevor sacrificed himself and just make Diana kill some soldiers and end the battle, could have made this movie a lot better, but NOPE we need a big fight scene at the end. The final act of the movie is nothing like the movie we were presented, it became a loud lightshow, just like the ending of Batman v Superman and Man of Steel, it's just punching and punching and fire and explosions while Ares yells cliché dialogue in a cartoon manner while Wonder Woman replies with more cliché dialogue. Oh my god, the third act was awful, but the two other acts were really solid with a decent message about how mankind is destined to always be evil and it's not to blame only one person for all the evil in the world, it's actually a surprisingly good message for a summer blockbuster superhero movie and I liked it, but what keeps this movie from being an 8/10 or even a 9/10 is, again, the third act.

As for superhero movies starring a strong female protagonist, this is MUCH better than Captain Marvel, I could give this movie a 6/10, but because I gave Captain Marvel a 5/10 and I don't want my rating to be interpreted as "slightly better than Captain Marvel", I'll give this a 7/10 just by that fact (maybe I could lower the score for Captain Marvel but...You know what, whatever)

It is still an over-rated movie, however, after the Dark Knight trilogy, it is the best DC movie that I have seen so far.
By the way, it has the best movie song among superhero movies.

Finally something enjoyably lighthearted leaving the snyder factory, and this time there's no destructive lightbeam erected into the sky, swallowing star systems. Maybe because it's not directed by a man?
-Wait, we're not gonna do that here.

Let's say it's nice to have a proven director (Patty Jenkins) at the helm, who doesn't always give in to the irritating tasteless tropes of the man who really needs to leave the very universe he created alone for good.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Personally I really like Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. So after seeing those two movies I was expecting this movie to also be in the same grim tone as them. Of course it is slightly grim, but not to that level. And that is a good thing, because it absolutely matches the tone of the movie. Personally I was never interested in Wonder Woman. I find her powers very vague. In one movie she's shown to jump very high while in the other she's shown to fly. In this movie she uses the Godzilla breath to kill Ares in the end but she never uses her this power ever again. But other than that I don't mind watching Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman is set in the time of World War I. Steve Trevor accidentally comes on Themiscyra, followed by the German Army. After finding out that there is a war going on, Diana decides to accompany Steve to the men's world and put an end to this war, since that is what his mother has taught her since her childhood. But when the time comes for her daughter to go, Hippolyta isn't able to let her go easily. She fears Diana will lose her innocence once she sees that men's world, and as we have seen in Batman v Superman, that's exactly what happens. The movie tells us how the events proceeded.

It is funny to see Diana trying to adjust to the lifestyle of London. There's actually a scene in which she walks in a store with her sword and shield. We get to see some characters in a pub who are ready to help them fight the war. There is the scene where Wonder Woman runs through the no-man's land where the German soldiers are ready to shoot them down. That was probably the best scene from the entire movie, equivalent to probably the warehouse fight scene from Batman v Superman. The scene has been choreographed by Zack Snyder himself, so it's obvious as to why it was so resemblant. And then later Wonder Woman and Steve bond over a dance and discuss about their lives with the other characters they met at the bar.

Wonder Woman and her friends later infiltrates a German party and find out about their secret plan and reach the airbase where the final fight takes place. Wonder Woman finds out that the German commander is actually Ares, who wanted to make this batle last for as long as possible to destroy humanity. Wonder Woman beats him by turning into a Super Saiyan, but it's not really a happy ending. Steve dies while trying to take an aircraft away that is filled with explosives. Now that Wonder Woman 1984 is out, we know that Steve isn't dead yet. But since I haven't watched it, I don't want to talk about it.

Wonder Woman and its sequel Wonder Woman 1984 are a proof that DC really needs Zack Snyder if they want to make a successful cinematic universe. Neither Snyder should be left all on his own like it was done in Sucker Punch, nor should he be restricted by the studio like it was done in Batman v Superman. He should be allowed to have a partner whom he's comfortable working with and they should keep a check on him, like Patty Jenkins was here or Christopher Nolan was in Man of Steel. Although Wonder Woman has earned a lot at the box office, I think it's popularity is dying out very quickly, just like Aquaman. This movie made me interested in the character of Wonder Woman and I really would like to see a true sequel to this movie.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Some dialogues make sense in this movie where we can find another version to the ending of World War one, even if a fantasy one.

Some other good points would be that I was surprised to see known actors in totally different roles, and despite some cultural clichés, it was pleasant to see how someone from an utopic society finds our misshaped world.

Years after seeing it for the first time, I didn't remember all the action, which at times was surprisingly well.

Good acting, decent plot, light exploration of more complex social issues, not many noticeable plot holes. Some awesome actions scenes in the middle (like no mans land, just woman's) A few parts of the ending weren't as great for me. Also the movie farms out some stereotypes, but not too bad. Of course Wonder Woman is in a one piece bikini like the comic book character is, but it's not too bad, and stuff hangs over it and that's not made a big deal of. Definitely worth watching Wonder Woman. - - - If you liked this movie and in general, avoid watching it's sequel, Wonder Woman 1984, not the worst movie (not good either) a huge let down from the first Wonder Woman. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expand
