    Let down would be an understatement. After RedFall this was supposed to be the Savior, it's not.

    30 FPS but it's janky, not at all smooth and this is pervasive. Story is a total bore, AI is terrible, faces are comically bad, navigation is non-existent, there's no real planetary exploration... I feel like Phil Spencer knows it's **** but can't admit it because it's the last hope for    Let down would be an understatement. After RedFall this was supposed to be the Savior, it's not.

    Juego imprescindible, cuando empiezas no puedes parar. Para los que dicen que es un mal juego, quizás simplemente no les guste o quizás no salga en su consola favorita. Podría ser mejor ,pues si, pero no es malo. Decir eso no tiene sentido. Recomendado 100%`.

    Starfield is Fallout 4 in Space, missing several of Fallout's features; including VATs and a gore/limbs system that is painfully absent in Starfield's bland peashooter combat. The 'Space' part of this 'Space' game is also notably missing if you take a moment to stop and smell the roses, a perceptive mind will notice how everything in Space is entirely faked - you're stuck inside anStarfield is Fallout 4 in Space, missing several of Fallout's features; including VATs and a gore/limbs system that is painfully absent in Starfield's bland peashooter combat. The 'Space' part of this 'Space' game is also notably missing if you take a moment to stop and smell the roses, a perceptive mind will notice how everything in Space is entirely faked - you're stuck inside an invisible fishbowl - those planets you see in the background? You can't go there. Not really. They're 2D Images from Google. It is my conclusion (when one notes the hundred immediately available Fast Travel options surrounding all 'Space' content) that Bethesda has encouraged By Design the ability to click a button and skip as Much As Possible in 'Space' because they're painfully aware it's their weakest content by a lightyear and do NOT want you to stop and notice just how restricted and cheap it feels. Here in lays Starfield's issue. It's dated. Very dated. This is a game that feels at home in 2007.

    The combat is Fallout, only worse. The exploration is- well it isn't even Fallout! It just doesn't exist! The "Planets" you "Land" on are 4x4 restricted grids full of copy&pasted locations, full of the exact same loot, with the exact same enemies in the exact same positions as the 1000 other 4x4 grids. Anyone that can enjoy this repetitive experience hasn't played many good RPGs in their time... or any good shooters... or anything at all...

    And that leads us to the final note, the RPG system; or the complete lack of RPG. It's the typical Bethesda Illusion that has existed in their games for a generation now, only in 2007 it was impressive. In 2023 it's not. It's dated beyond its years and feels like Bethesda hasn't learnt anything, hasn't grown, hasn't improved; they've copy&pasted the same experience from a decade ago... only worse by removal of that classic Bethesda exploration and via giving us all the Fast Travel points for free without needing to discover a damn thing. Is this the quality we expect from our RPGs? Not to mention the bugs and crashes, somehow excusable because its Bethesda?

    I for one will not meekly accept mediocrity, or worse, simply because it's Bethesda. Any other company would be met by an angry mob if they released Starfield. it's dated, its uninspired, its mediocre at best and I'd rate it a 5 if not for the fact Bethesda continue - consciously - to exploit a fanbase who forgive them every manipulation.

    I swear, it's like so many poor fools are struck in a toxic relationship with Bethesda. In so many years, when they grow up; they'll realise they were used, lied to, exploited for blind loyalty all because they lacked enough self-worth to ask questions and expect more quality from less than quality products.

    Bethesda needs to learn along overdue lesson. They can't release garbage and call it gold, because their fans Should be worth more than that; instead of Todd exploiting blind loyalty like a corrupt god revelling in the worship of his brainwashed followers.     Honestly it‘s worse than fallout 4 (or even 76). You just navigate menus, sit in loadscreens and watch boring character dialog. Sometimes there’s a little bit of bad gunplay and that’s it.

    I waited years for this game defending it at every opportunity and I feel overall let down that it hasn't lived up to my expectations.
    I've got over 60 hours in the game I can't find the planets Vulcan or Klingon I thought this game would have hint of realism at least.
    The Star Trek VR experience on PS4 is more immersive than Starfield I hope future updates will bring comparable experiences.

    I can't say anything about the game itself because I won't play a "shooter" with 30 fps. Very sad, that they did not include a 60 fps version, but looking to pc performance, it's possible that the game won't run at any settings in 60 fps on an Xbox Series X due to bad engine optimization. Very Sad, I really was looking forward to this game.

    Misleading promised features, exploration is trash, you have to spend 20 hours for it to become “fun to play” in their own way, main story is the worst I’ve played, very repetitive puzzles, they tried to do everything but didn’t nail a single thing.     Arguably the worst single player Bethesda game ever made. Terrible soapy graphics with a green filter that makes your eyes tired. NPCs are terribly stupid, quests are not interesting and there are a lot of loading screens, outdated graphics, the game is not optimized. Terribly boring game and it's not an RPG.. It's not worth 100 euros. For me, Bethesda is completely dead...

    Realistically the game should be a 7. My rating, however, drops just with how disappointing the game is compared to the hype. It is decent, however, for a game that has been in waiting for so long, it doesn't meet expectations. Beyond this, it is not up to the caliber of the Fallout series or The Elder Scrolls. I just felt it could have been infinitely better than it is.

    No sense of exploration, feels and seems like a 10 yo game with old physics, full of bugs, cant explore by ship the universe w/o using the fast travel, loading loading loading screens everywhere, awfully character animations.
    We cant accept a game like this after been in development for that long, is an insult to us gamers...

If you like infinite loading screens and dead environments with AI from the Xbox 360 era then enjoy if you expected what Bethesda promoted you were getting then beware, save your money. Modders might be the only hope this game has to be as good as FO4 was without mods. Rip Bethesda.

    I've been waiting for a game like this for a long time, it's still not perfect in some technical aspects, but the most important thing is the story and game mechanics, with engaging and charismatic characters.
    Honestly, I hope that there will be many expansions for this game and that it will continue to add more and more content over the next few years.

    Starfield is an empty, dull game with hardly anything to do other than to shoot at "Spacer", "Ecliptic", or "Pirate".

    As a huge fallout 4 fan, I was expecting fallout in space. Boy, were we all wrong. After being lied to again by todd and his new boss Phil, what we got was a boring, bland world where planets are a drag to explore.
    People will defend this with, "Its realistic, most planets are empty in real life". Simply eat turds if you are one of these people. No mans sky puts this game to shame. That is the only reason that all those officials let them buy 2 publishing companies that own 30 or more developer's studio's and hundreds of already successful game franchises to make them and all future games from 30 or more studios exclusive to Microsoft storefronts. They are conning the consumers and developers with gamepass telling people that gamepass gets consumers free games and gamepass helps developers sell games.     Not worth $70. $20 maybe and only if you have nothing else to play. Outer Wilds, Outer Worlds, Baldurs Gate, any of these are way more worth your time.

Because I wasn't allowed to play the game by Microsoft. "Your graphics card does not meet the minimal requirements" is the message I get when I try to open the game. On an RTX 3060. Sure, with how badly optimized the game is, my card will probably do 1080p Low 30fps. A subpar experience for sure, but that's no reason to lock a consumer out of the game right? there's people playing it on integrated GPUs on youtube. So my GPU is 100% not at fault. So what's happening here is an intentional denial of service by Microsoft because I haven't updated my Windows.

    Starfield is BGS' most optimized game on launch day yet. Quite the record. And I find that only lasts the players 12-20 hours before the cracks show up in the form of game breaking bugs that ruin hours of progress because an NPC noclipped into space or something of the sort. Remember, that's 12-20 hours where a sizable chunk of your gameplay is running around and watching cutscenes for transitions between planet and space. The physics in this game however is quite the achievement, for BGS. A fraction of the object physics you can smoothly simulate in SF would crash the most community patched version of Skyrim. But then why do we see clips of spaceships spinning like a top in space for no reason? Microsoft was directing a ton of resources into the QC of this game, so the testing done for this game prior to launch probably had the greatest effort put into it in the history of Bethesda Games itself. And yet like a dozen of the initial hours of the game is all they were able to get right.

    I only recently got to play FarCry5 and I realized, that game has a better system for facial expressions than SF. Facial expressions was one of the highlights of the game back when SF was just teased. Every aspect of this game makes it look like it's a decade old. A very fitting era for this game because around this time, Call of Duty Ghosts also locked players out of games for not having 6 GB RAM minimum. That got "cracked" real quick. Whether this will be as well remains to be seen. I for one have removed this from my storage. Good thing I didn't have to pay for this blueballing. But I've found on reddit others who weren't as lucky, and bought the premium version of the game. Thankfully I learned my lesson with beth games a long time ago.    … Expand

    My PC is not old, and it is not new but having 20 fps with an ugly screen in the first city is not acceptable. RTX 2060 in 2560x1440 is enough to play with Cyberpunk with good quality and no problems. I will wait for some performance fixes. For now 0/10.

    The performance on Xbox Series X and PC is awful which is completely unacceptable given its extremely outdated visuals and lack of RT effects.     It is true that you'll find a good number of barren wastelands with little to do other than extracting some resources and take off to more interesting places, but again it really depends on how you want to play. There's so much to do, so many systems and abilities to explore, missions to complete, spaceships to loot, and species to catalogue, that I honestly don't think there's anybody who thinks that exploring every square meter of this universe is the better way to enjoy Starfield.

    While it has weak spots and doesn’t push many boundaries, Starfield is still an excellent RPG experience. Bethesda has once again mastered the things it built its reputation on – world building, quest design, and deep customization. However, it’s found new things to excel at too, with exciting combat and a novel implementation of New Game Plus.
