    This game is a downgrade in almost every way to Fallout 4, which itself was a massive downgrade compared to Fallout 3 / NV.

    Todd as usual did a great job at manipulating gamers into hyping this up. Good thing my expectations were low as Bethesda does nothing but disappoint lately.

    After Skyrim, they had 10 years to develop this game. But they haven't developed anything for 10 years. Optimization sucks. The overall game design sucks. NPCs suck. They made the same mistakes in Skyrim and released the game half finished. Why? Because modders can do the work they left unfinished. This game is not 2023 game. This game is 2013 game.

Lots of loading screens, equal and empty planets, no facial expressions, complicated maps to understand, fake exploration, the game ship is just an illusion of exploration, space is a PNG screen, 30 FPS crashes and falls on many times, horrible NPCs. Everything that has been promised about this game is a real lie and illusion. A smaller studio would make a better game than that.… Expand

    Here is the horrible story set-up in the introduction:
    - First day mining on the job. Your boss finds an anomaly they don't understand and tells you to investigate it by yourself (this would never happen in any job)
    - You touch a rock and pass out
    - Wake up and everyone says you're special because you randomly passed out

    Maior decepção, o jogo esta muito mal otimizado, cheio de bugs, muitos carregamentos, os npcs sao horríveis, I.A. burra estilo RedFall, as viages espaciais sao medíocre, os planetas sao uma imagem de fundo que vc nunca alcança, não existe viagem espacial. O jogo é pura propaganda enganosa, venderam como o maior jogo do ano, com muitas possibilidades mas está cheio de limitações

    Starfield is an occupied game and Microsoft once again proved its rank is lower than Sony and Bethesda studio lost its credibility among players. This game is full of bugs and these failures affect the process of game experience. All NPCs are very artificial and do not convey any emotion

    I have played on a very high-end PC and had a lot of problems with the game. I have had several bugs that have made the game experience was not satisfactory, we know that Bethesda is a studio that does not optimize games well. I was excited about the game but I felt like I was playing a Skyrim mixed with FallOut in space. Very empty planets, NPCs that left a lot to be desired.     I really wish I could give this a better rating, I love Bethesda games, but this time it let me down. I really had high hopes for this game. But it was unexpected. Especially 30 fps on Xbox, which is very boring.

    I played past the 10h mark hoping it would get better but It did not, I just couldn't stand another minuted of this game. To me that has to be the definition of a 0/10 and I hope I can get a refund.

    It's does not have an interesting world/characters, combat gameplay is way bellow average, spaceship combat is even worse

    A **** deception is what this game is, they promised us the game of the decade and it is light years away from being a great game in good conditions, it is full of bugs, it does not keep the FPS stable at any time, it is extremely broken and with a useless AI, Microsoft is deceiving as always to your satisfied customers.

    Estamos frente a un juego con la calidad típica de los estudios de Xbox, simplemente es increíble como hacen fracasar todos los juegos de los estudios que compran, realmente el cancer del gaming actual.

    Una exploración espacial nula, gráficos de xbox 360, crasheos constantes, narrativa deplorable, y jugabilidad mediocre.
    1000 planetas de relleno donde solo 5 son mínimamente interesantes.

They had many years to improve all the horrible game mechanics, but they failed to learn from other video game's mistakes. It's baffling that Cyberpunk 2077 does every single RPG mechanic much better and all this game does is make me appreciate Cyberpunk even more.The game is tedious and frustrating to play. Unacceptable to have game mechanics that ruin the player's experience in 2023. They had many years to improve all the horrible game mechanics, but they failed to learn from other video game's mistakes. It's baffling that Cyberpunk 2077 does every single RPG mechanic much better and all this game does is make me appreciate Cyberpunk even more.

    It's not just the excessive loading screens, it's all the little details like having proper city maps or a better UI with more information for inventory. Half our time playing should not be spent in menus organizing our inventory and fighting the game mechanics.

    I won't even mention all the bugs and terrible animations, they speak for themselves.

    The sad part is that in a few years some things will likely get patched in, but by that point it would be completely useless as I have already beaten the game and have no desire to play it again.

    AAA games with this much money behind it should be shipped completely polished and finished. And now developers/publishers can't hide behind the COVID excuse, so this game was simply shipped this way because the stubborn heads at Bethesda/Microsoft decided to release it like this.

    First, you need really good pc to play this game. This game is not optimized well. I already experienced few bugs like NPCs falling through the floor. Walking through the walls. Sometimes they are dumb! One of my quests are bug stuck, can’t do anything about it until there’s a patch. Space is limited and not free to explore. Some planets don’t even exist, they just JPG planets. SomeFirst, you need really good pc to play this game. This game is not optimized well. I already experienced few bugs like NPCs falling through the floor. Walking through the walls. Sometimes they are dumb!     Played an hour on GP. Its Fallout but in space. Still using the same game engine as in 2009 as I'm still getting motion sickness. No originality. Same linear scripted borefest. For space games, I just want a ship to start and let me explore the Universe. Gunplay is horrible. Even though it was free, I uninstalled it.

    This game is an utter disgrace. Pixelated nightmare , terrible frame rate, last gen graphics, lifeless npcs, terrible writing. I think the ambition was there but they bit off more than they can chew. Phil Spencer and team should be ashamed that this was the final product of a game 25 years in the making. Bethesda’s best days are behind them, they are a shell of their former selves.

    Then the strange overtly positive reviews and comments about this game plastered all over forums. All saying the same one liners with no substance. "Amazing!" "Had a blast!" "I've put (insert amount of hours here) and love it!"

    Bit obvious that these are either AI bot accounts or people who've been paid to spread such absolute nonsense.

    A exploração desse jogo se resume a selecionar menu, e fazer viagem rápida entre cenários, planetas... chega a ser frustrante como isso quebra completamente a nossa imersão. Isso é tal imersão de nova geração?

    Os planetas são em sua grande maioria repetitivos, e sem absolutamente nada para fazer. O pouco conteúdo que é gerado, são repetitivos e no terceiro planeta vc já não vai querer vistar mais nenhum.

    Era bem melhor ter feito apenas um sistema solar, mas que a gente pudesse pelo menos voar entre os planetas, entrar na atmosfera...

    Enfim, só de lembrar eu já fico com raiva. Eu espero muito que a Bethesda abandone esse motor gráfico ultrapassado, e comece a usar a Unreal 5. Se TES vier tão baixa renda igual esse Starfield, vai ser outro fracasso.    … Expand

    This game had so much potential and was hyped up for so long only to deliver the worst Bethesda experience so far. Fallout 3 or Skyrim are still more worth your time in 2023. The environments and worlds are empty and dull and full of copy and pasted structures that you will see over and over again as you play the game. The main storyline is also bad. Don’t waste your time with this garbage

    Playing on xbox one series X, performance is good but the game is no looker it's very bland and textureless and looks like a 360 game, loading screens everywhere which completely kills immersion, the ground in my save file is shimmering and I cant get it to stop.

    I've walked on a planet for 15 minutes and it was completely empty. This game tricks you into thinking that there's a lot to do, while in reality it is just a big empty open world.

    They could have explored so many cool sci-fi/space settings (such as those found in shows like The Expanse, Babylon 5, Star Trek, etc.) but no they just wanted to do the most milk toast generic trash possible. A literal unread toilet scrubber could write a better setting than this garbage.

    Zero effort went into planet design / procedural generation. Examples: anywhere you land on earth is a flat desert…land in the Andes? Flat desert, land in Maria trench? Flat desert. Mount Everest? Flat desert, o by the way, empire state building survived…. How.. JUST HOW. The devs know that is one of the first planets players are going to visit right… right!???

    The guns all feel like TRASH and enemies are nothing but bullet sponges and little to no AI at all.

    There is literally no exploration at all - just loading screens and fast traveling everywhere. (As many other reviews have pointed out).

    So sad to see this game release in such a state - an embarrassment for Microsoft and Bethesda. Worst 100$ I have ever spent.    … Expand

    It's not a horrible game. But it's not good. I was so excited to play this game since I love space exploration, but it's Just so boring. Even though it's not a horrific game it deserves a zero for all the bugs and all the lies from Bethesda. It's not revolutionary. Mass Effect trilogy did everything much much better .

    Espere tanto tiempo por este juego que pensaba que iba a encontrar algo sorprendente. Llevo más de 10 horas de juego y coincido con los demás. Estoy súper aburrido de todas las cosas sin sentido que tiene este juego. Realmente le faltó mucho para llenar todas las expectativas que tenía. Tal vez en el futuro con un DLC pongan mejor contenido.

    I feel like this game just has a nice coting of paint on the outside but once you go inside you get another open world game with nothing new to offer and the main story and characters are the weakest point of this whole mess and at the end of finishing this game, there is nothing left to remember it by at least in a good way.

    Even though i didn't "buy" the game I feel MS owes me money for having wasted my time on it and devaluing gamepass. Thats how bad this game is

    For starters the space is fake, theres no exploration. Ships are purposefully designed to be slow as molases (despite having tech for warp engine across galaxies) so you dont stray far from the planets atmosphere (which btw is a fake png too) unless you hit throttle for literally hours on end

    How convenient huh? That space ships with warp technology across technology, moves so slow it cant move around solar system at reasonable speeds

    I say convenient because this is a intentional cap to mask and hide the fake space, theres no space its just a map with quick travel loading screens. The planets are just segmented levels which you quick travel to

    tl,dr If you're looking for a space game, avoid this game its terrible, a waste of money and time    … Expand

    Had horrible gameplay and buggy glitches. Made it impossible to play. Immediately refunded the game. Hard to have faith in Bethesda anymore.

    It's funny that the game has the same bugs as fallout 76 and they want to sell it as a complete game that literally tells you you have to update your PC why if we optimize it and if it wasn't for the fallout PC mod so that it is optimized the game would be worse

    Good for a Bethesda game no doubt but not good enough by todays standards. Feels like Bethesda did the minimum because they are relying on modest to fix their games. The game has been overhyped ad nauseam but doesn’t deliver what was expected.

    My god this things a mess, once again flopesda strikes again. How can anyone play this and actually think it's ok? I played on PC had issues, so tried on my XBox series X and had issues. Thank god it was day one gamepass, no way you'd pay for this.

    It is true that you'll find a good number of barren wastelands with little to do other than extracting some resources and take off to more interesting places, but again it really depends on how you want to play. There's so much to do, so many systems and abilities to explore, missions to complete, spaceships to loot, and species to catalogue, that I honestly don't think there's anybody who thinks that exploring every square meter of this universe is the better way to enjoy Starfield.

    While it has weak spots and doesn’t push many boundaries, Starfield is still an excellent RPG experience. Bethesda has once again mastered the things it built its reputation on – world building, quest design, and deep customization. However, it’s found new things to excel at too, with exciting combat and a novel implementation of New Game Plus.
