Playing this game on XSX via back compat.
Even on a next-gen console game working very mediocre.
Bugs ang glitches goes on from a first 5 minutes of gameplay. Got by myself couple of freezes, one time when I've done with hacking , it's graphivally freezed as I"m hacking but sounds goes like I can move and use my weapons. This hell of a game even once turned off my XSX. And of course

This hell of a game even once turned off my XSX.
And of course Items you cannot grab/hard to grab, npc mouths not opening , some sounds not working time to time, people staying in a T pose, sitting in a walls , and many many more.

But if it would be only problem I would say ok...
My biggest dissapointment is a open world - NPCs at best knows 1 phrase. Stores and Street food where you cant just buy anything, shooting high level ordinary gangster models looks like MMO type of gamplay when you're shhoting full clip of assault rifle to a head and it does almost no damage, And really boring side missions which I never expected from creators of witcher 3.
System of levels and percs did not best visualised and not really getting a lot of new mechnics.
Small map when you're drivining getting you to skip a lot of turns , cause it's simply showing too small amount of world.

Is there something to love in a game ? For sure
Design and an atmosphere are really amazing, but graphics quality and bugs not helping to enjoy this world.
Open world looks detailed and great to travel on , but it's not really interactive and graphics again...
Cool shooting and melee mechanics, but when you getting a combat with tough guys its becoming really slow and boring.
A huge bunch of side activities, but same mechanics you can get in any other OW game and mostly no interesting stories. Man, it was better on AC Valhalla...
Astonishing story and characters is the thing why you would love a game.
And I'm playing on a XSX , have no idea what I would feel about it if I would launch it on Original xbox one.

What I think about it - It could be a game of gen, but cdpr decided to launch a beta-version and sold it for a full price. Hiding a truth and predicting they never knew about how bad it works on consoles...
    Really really sad.
Dont buy this game if you dont have a top Pc or at least XSX...

Play on One X instead of One. Best RPG I ever played. Map is amazing. Fighting can be however you want. Lots of customization with your character. Enemies drop their weapons always unlike The Outer Worlds. Cars get better as you get better ones. Side quests are amazing. Characters are well scripted. 10/10.

Horrendous experience. With a lack of fps and resolution, the experience is extremely disorientating and even nauseating at times. Especially during combat. The backstory choices are incredibly short and have no impact on the story afterwards whatsoever. Yes, you have unique dialogue options but you'll soon find that all the options more often than not lead to the same results anyway. The world itself is amazing and, even though it's hard to see on Xbox One, is still a masterwork of a city. But if you were to take away the story, sidequests and characters, it would be an extremely shallow one. There's incredibly bad A.I. for NPC's, nor when they're driving. The police system, or lack thereof, is a joke too because they simply spawn in behind you no matter what. To add fuel to the fire, there aren't even police chases all. Meanwhile you can hardly interact with anything or anybody in the city. every NPC seems to have 2 lines, all shopping stands or markets are there for looks and nothing else, no NPC's react to you unless you point a gun at them. Animation is terrible too Expand

I didn’t give it a zero, because it’s not completely unplayable, but it’s damn close at times. Cyberpunk 2077 is a prime example of a developer’s and publisher’s greed ruling the day. The fact that CD Projekt Red only sent out PC copies to be reviewed should have been a huge red flag, but I let my faith in them, after games like The Witcher showcased what they can do, take over. I shouldI didn’t give it a zero, because it’s not completely unplayable, but it’s damn close at times. I should have known better, but so should they. They purposely hid the fact that Cyberpunk performed like hot garbage on base Xbox One and PS4 consoles, because they knew people like me would preorder the game based off their history of putting out high quality, AAA, open-world RPGs. Cyberpunk felt more like a looter shooter than an RPG at times, too. That alone would be fine, but the absolute piss poor performance with the grainy, even after turning off the film grain effect, fuzziness to the graphics(looking in the mirror was just terrible), the constant pop-ins of assets up to ten plus seconds later, and the god awful screen tearing is downright unacceptable. That doesn’t even touch on the actual gameplay aspects. It seems at times that the auto-aim wouldn’t want to work. Sometimes it’d snap to an enemy. Others it wouldn’t. The dialogue at times was laughable. Not in a good way. It sounded like they did one take and went with whatever came out of the actor’s mouth. The dialogue for male V had almost zero inflection or emotion to it. There was also odd pauses in dialogue mid sentence at times. I don’t know if they pieced together different takes or the performance is so bad on base Xbone that the dialogue itself was studdering/experiencing lag. They knew what they were doing for the sake of preorder sales, and they should be ashamed. They’re not ashamed, because they got our money, but they should be, At least, they had my money. As soon as I read their “apology” letter stating they’d have a “fix” around February of 2021, I jumped all over the refund button through Microsoft. Cyberpunk 2077 should be the nail in the coffin for preordering a game for all of us gamers. Never again should we give any studio our money before we know they didn’t hand us crap and a half assed apology promising better next time. I know I’m done preordering anything. Expand

Just bought Cyberpunk 2077 for the second time on xbsx to support the developer's impressive vision for open world building. The atmosphere and design is very reminisent og Deus Ex, and the options for character development and interactions are complex and satisfying. There are bugs but they will be squashed! A rare rpg-action gem!

Deserves the hate that it's getting, predatory gaming studio practice is becoming far too normalised. The game runs awfully, it's unfinished and simply does not deliver as advertised. It should be treated as any other product that is not as advertised, it's a scam. If you enjoy it, sure, but you're further convincing game studios that this kind of behaviour is acceptable.

Outside of some bugs and performance issues Cyberpunk 2077 is a fantastic game.

I had the game preloaded on my XSX and began playing the second it was launched in my location. Initially I noticed it was blurry about 50% of the time. I was slightly annoyed by this considering I really enjoy clarity and high res games but I knew that CDPR would patch the problem. In just 4 days I have put about 40 hours into the game and I will honestly say that it bugs out on me 2-3 times a day. Most of the bugs are very minor like an NPC clipping through a wall. It has not outright crashed on me, yet.

The game was patched this weekend and once it was the blur is gone and I must say it is a damn beautiful game on the XSX. The only other real negative I have found in the game is the fact that the cars are a bit too bouncy for my personal taste when you drive them.

In the 40 hours I have played I have played hardly any of the story missions. I have had so much fun exploring Night City and doing side jobs to earn money. Keanu Reeves is amazing in the game. I purchased the game managing my expectations knowing it would not be like The Witcher 3. I actually hoped it wouldn't and am glad its unique.

I have been waiting for this game since it was announced, 8 years. I will say I was surprised it was so buggy after 8 years but honestly I was also sick of waiting for the game. V is a great character to play in the game and the voice acting is amazing. All in all this game is an extremely good game and one of my top 5 games for life. I know CDPR will patch it sooner or later and all of the childish complaining should stop soon after. I remember Witcher 3 wasn't perfect at launch either so manage your expectations.

    PLAY THIS GAME!!!!!

I usually never pre-order video games as a rule, but on the strength of Witcher 3 and reputation of CDPR, I pulled the trigger this time. What a mistake.

I deduct one point from perfect score, because they could have made the onboarding a little more inviting for those unfamiliar with this world, there are a lot of things, expressions, definitions that You need to learn, to fully understand what people are talking about :D And I for one was pushed into this sprawling city without warning :D Definitly recommended! It’s the tapeworm mission glitch and the patch didn’t do anything i’m currently deleting all my data in hopes my game will be fine. I think it’s because you have to do quests in a specific order even though you have the options to do them in any order. It definitely needed another few months maybe even a year. If you’re one of the people who say “Maybe you should get a next gen console or PC cyberpunk was supposed to be a next gen game” 1st of all its not the game was in development about 8 years ago it was planned to be in a last gen console and they were always ambitious with it. They should’ve posted something saying the game would be buggy if they released it now and maybe a poll would be nice. I preordered it for Xbox hoping for an amazing but instead i’m in the hole 60 dollars and disappointed. Expand

    Xbox One X - 10hrs Gamplay

Overall, it's been a good experience - not the generation-defining release many hoped it would be, but still a unique and enjoyable game. I've spent my time in-game, split between the main story and the myriad of random side missions and world events scattered around the map. There is no shortage of things to do, even if many of them are somewhat... indistinguishable... from each other. At a certain point, many of the different events come down to the same "Travel here. Kill everyone. Repeat." cycle. Thankfully, combat is enjoyable enough that I don't find myself bothered by that repetition.

The technical aspects are where this game loses points. On my XOX, performance is very "okay" - for the most part, the game does well in terms of framerates, textures, etc - but occasionally the framerate will drop well below 25fps, resulting in noticeable sluggishness. There are even times where the game will outright lock-up, sometimes resulting in a crash to my Dashboard. This, in addition to the mess of random bugs which I already expected (this being a complicated open-world title), somewhat detracts from the overall experience - though not to the extent seen in the OG Xbox/PS4 experiences.

While I'm sure the game will improve with patching, the takeaway right now is: this game is a beautiful, fun, expansive title with a unique identity that sets it apart from other similar titles, that is held back by its technical performance. If you have a XBX, these hiccups are tolerable, but anyone with a base model should stay away for now.

I’ve noticed that while you can talk to just about any npc in the game they don’t always have much to say in fact most of the time it’s a single line. I wish there was more variety to the npcs in the city or at least that they wouldn’t have 3 or 4 people looking exactly the same in a group walking around. It takes away from the game a bit when you see that. The weapons , mods, cybernetics, skill points, perk points are all very well done. The game falls short despite its deep narrative and storytelling set in a Cyberpunk universe. Fundamentally the game is flawed both technically with bugs, texture flickering, and optimization issues plagued by the engine and also due to design decisions that aren't very well thought out crafted, or executed with the games narrative. Overall, this is 2020's most disappointing games.

Unfortunately the immersion is broken by police that spawn out of nowhere and NPC's which ignore you walking around with your dong out.

The story though is engaging and enjoyable, with varied missions that aren't too laborious. Characters are likeable though there are maybe a few too many. Sometimes your phone rings non stop and different characters introduce themselves and it can feel a little overwhelming.

I trust CDProjektred and I think they will eventually deliver on this game. If any game has identified the broken vision of the harmony that Microsoft have tried to deliver across multiple generations of consoles, it's this one.

As for the performance on a Xbox One X, It is ok, I would say that it hits 30fps 90% of the time. Framerate drops do occur sometimes in gun fights but not all the time. There was 2 or maybe three times where the framerate dropped really low that made the gunfight particularly difficult to aim right, but I made it work and survived.
Overall I would say it is a really good game and I am sure a lot of the performance issues will get sorted out with patches (Not sure how much the Devs can do as it seems the issue looks more likely to be a CPU limitation and all four of the older consoles are using a variation of the AMD Jaguar 8 core CPU which seriously weak sauce. So I don't know, time will tell) or you could just get a Xbox Series X or PS5 and play it on that if the performance issues that that a big deal to you.
I recommend this game, at least for a XBOX one X owner.

I know that score of an "7" is weird while so many people have problems with bugs, bad optimization, and other things that suggest Cyberpunk 2077 is in a beta program. My review (or more like an opinion for now) is because of a platform I used to play this game, which is Xbox Series X. I think that in the quality mode it runs "okay", just a few and only minor bugs (like a car spawning on the top of another) and that's all. I understand other people's anger about this premiere and I hope CD Project RED will patch this game as soon as it is possible. Not only because I want to play without bugs, but simply the situation this game (and company) is going through right now is delaying "next-gen patch" which will make this game a good title for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. At least this is what I am hoping about. Expand

Cyberpunk is clearly not perfect, there are several things to do on the game, bugs, fps, not optimized graphics... The most important thing is that I expected a little more from this game, I mean, I hate thinking about it like a new GTA, and that how it feels like to me. But, in general, looking back to TW3, the game really is fun and gives the piece of RPG and deep history I personallyCyberpunk is clearly not perfect, there are several things to do on the game, bugs, fps, not optimized graphics... But, in general, looking back to TW3, the game really is fun and gives the piece of RPG and deep history I personally want, I think the game is not done yet,, obviously they needed another delay, "we know it doesn't look like some days will help on the development -" and it doesn't, when it got delayed the second time I knew we had two options : 1- the game is so **** polished and CDPR was trying so hard to make it real perfect. 2 - They f*cking need anytime to fix so much **** and they needed.
I don't think this much hate on the game is without reason, but I don't think it deserves 3.5 either. 8,-1 for the launching bugs (that doesn't quite affects me personally) and - 1 for the not so masterpiece game besides the hype.

It’s because of this fun gameplay and this great story that it’s such a shame Cyberpunk 2077 performs like it’s still in alpha.

Overall, I think there’s a lot to like when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077, which has been unfortunately marred by poor performance issues on a number of platforms, and some poor communication (along with some overpromising) on the part of the publisher. It’s clear that a lot of work went into putting this game together, and it’s unfortunate that it had to release in a state that feels a little unfinished. It’s still a game you can very much derive enjoyment from, even in its current state but your ability to overlook open-world bugs and performance issues is certainly going to factor in quite a bit.

Cyberpunk 2077 didn't meet my expectations, but also didn't disappoint me. It delivered an RPG experience like no other, delving deep into themes like control, awareness and addiction. The combat is great and the graphics are amazing, but the bugs and some under-cooked systems make it seem like the devs got lazy, and that's always a bad sign. (Played on Xbox Series X)
