    This game is amazing! I don't care what anyone says, the campaign is wonderfully designed and the graphics are impeccable. The multilayer is the best of any game out for the 360 and is one of the most fun ever. Major props to the entire team at Bungie!! Keep the great games coming!

    People are negative about this game because of hype. People hate anything hyped. If anything is over hyped people want to find things wrong with it just for the sake of ranting they say it does nothing special which might be true, but thats not the point the point is that it did everything right for shooters on consoles for a change. You can be picky as you want but that doesn't change the fact that it's fun and that's why we play it. There's no use whining over how it's "just an average shooter" or if it is "boring and tasteless" personally i love the game I even learned to play the soundtrack on my violin since it was so catchy. I spent hours trying to learn to draw masterchief while on a train ride to oregon. I used to say the same thing about how it's "average" but when I finally played it I stopped ranting and learned to have fun, and that's what games were made for after all.… Expand

    this is an awesome game the campain, co-op, Totally the online multiplayer, also forge and theater, skulls is awesome this is the reason I bought my xbox 360 if you haven't pleyed this game then you must!!!!!!!!

    The thing that makes Halo 3 the winner for me is multi player and this is also why the franchise is so successful, it started off with mates lugging xbox's and tv's around to connecting with them on Xbox Live Halo will always be Microsofts flagship title

    HALO 3. That's all you need to know. Of course the graphics are good, the gameplay spotless, and the story...actually kind of convulted. But the Multiplayer makes up for it. I have seen some crazy stuff happen in some of the modes, and that makes this game ever the more priceless.

    Halo 3 is one of the most engaging and ingenious games I've ever played. Right off the bat I was blown away by the colorful landscape and amazing graphics. The achievements for finding skulls and replaying the campaign on harder difficulties had me playing it forever. Even when all of that was done, the online experience is nothing short of amazing. Best Halo Game Yet!

    Halo is what I expected. the series is known for the vehicles, the guns, and the maps. I must say Bungie has done it again. The balance of the gameplay is 99% perfect. The new weopons like the spartan laser and the gravity hammer are awesome. the campaign has very good music and atmsphere. one of the best cut scenes i have seen in a video game.     While possibly not as epic as Halo or Halo 2, Halo 3 is still an incredible game of its own right. One of the 10 best action games ever, I would even say. The day I traded in Mass Effect (too slow for my tastes!) for a used Halo 3 was the smartest game purchase day of my life!

    Anybody who knows anything about FPS or online shooters knows that Halo (entire trilogy) is among the most evolutionary and revolutionary shooters of all time. Anybody who gives this below a 9 is kidding themselves. This game is easily the best mulitplayer shooter of all time. By miles. I, personally, thought COD4 was garbage.

    The reason I'm giving this a perfect score is because it accomplished everything it set out to do. The plot is certainly an improvement over Halo 2's, and as always there is great multiplayer (with a huge amount of different modes to play from).     The best game in the Halo trilogy. Everything in Halo 3 works really well. Forge and Theater are a spectacular addition to the Halo series. The games story is fantastick and surprised me atleast three times. The campaign is short but adds extra replayability with meta games, skulls, easter eggs and meta games. Multiplayer is superb but might be a little too competitive for some people The best game in the Halo trilogy. Everything in Halo 3 works really well.     The right length for the casual gamer. Good selection in difficulty for all levels. Great blend of gameplay, graphics, and music. Online CO-OP iand online multiplayer action is great. The Theater allows for playback of recent games and clips to relive moments in the game as well as capture hi-res screenshots.

    Good campaign, with metagame and 4-player online co-op giving it high longevity and replayability. Amazing mulitplayer with extras like the Forge map editor. Insane online stat-tracking. My only concern is the small number of multiplayer maps which will be remedied soon with the first of what will certainly be many map pack releases.

The Needler because of it is weak as hell now and the pistol... well... it was really only good in halo 1 and kinda fun to dual wield in halo 2 but it sucks in halo 3. What I like: melee has gotten stronger, you can just smack the Brutes up if you play on easy. The Gravity Hammer is a great Michael B. has everything right. With the inclusion of equipment it feels like i have more options and i can play how i really wanted to all along. i love the levels because of the throwbacks. its awesome to see parts of halo 1 and 2 to remind us of how far All you haters need to hush up.     I managed to get a hold of an early copy via some friends and I've gotta say, Bungie lived up to the hype. I was dreading it, I figured they were building it up so much that it couldn't be as good as it looked. Fortunately, I was no disappointed, if you have a Xbox 360, buy this game.

    Gamer 2.0 makes the most rediculous statements ever. They gave audio an 8! That's insane, even the beta had amazing audio, some of the best I've ever heard. Not that I need to say this, but buy this game. Its not an 88 like these "respectable" sites such as gamer 2.0 and dailygame say. Honestly I've never even heard of them before this mockery.

    Honestly, I've only gone through the first couple boards but I have to say holy cow it's awesome. I expected better graphics but, man... it's just incredible. And the game play and creativity that I have experienced has met my expectations. Greatest. Game. Ever.

    The game is great as expected for its third run.The campaing is a bit short for my taste but the game really shines in its features and multi-player modes. The meta game is insane with 4 players coop,the forge and record mode are truly innovative and strangely fun.The game willreally live beyond the 360 life cycle.

    This is the most complete game I've ever had the privilege of playing. Anyone who says it is just like Halo 2 deserves nothing less than a kick in the nuts. AMAZING beyond my wildest expectations! Graphics ( especially during the replays ) are honest to god, the best I've ever seen. Thank you Bungie for making the Greatest game of all time!

    I feel like this game could have had more polish in the graphics department but other than that, this game is sick!!!! It reminded me why i freakin love Halo in the first place. Singleplayer is short but insanely fun and multiplayer has more customization than ever and it helps the gameplay to be varied, chaotic, and insanely fun.

    The game really is a blast to play. I have never played a shooter with such a balance between fun campaign, fun multiplayer, fun co-op, fun and easy map editing, replay system, competitive co-op, and just overall polish.

The story however will somewhat confuse new comers although it has a very satisfying ending for the hardcore Halo fans.     Actually I would give it a 9.8(doesnt give me the choice, but anyway). Halo 3 is endless hours of entertainment. With may modes such as forge, x-box live and custom game ssuch as forge. This game in my opinion be Game of the Year. My only negative is the story, just like Halo 2. A slight cliffhanger. Otherwise it is well one of my favorite games of all time.

    This game is good in all ways. The story is compelling, the multiplayer rocks, the graphics are excellent, and the gameplay is exquisite. This is one of those games that you can just go back and play any time you want, and it doesn't get tiring or boring. The only bad thing is that the campaign is a bit short.

    Bungie's formula for its Halo games provides the most fun you can have on the Xbox 360. The lighting is spectacular, the a.i. actually seems artificially intelligent, and the story is gripping. Very few games reach this level of excellence and make you wonder why other game studios even bother.

    One of my favorite games ever. It will never get old. The campaign is so-so and some things could be a little better. However, this is meant mostly as a multiplayer game and this is where it excels above all. The replay value is through the roof, and for those who love games that require skill to play and master, Halo 3 online play is just that. Amazing.

    Amazing replayability, playing with skulls is incredibly hard, and the multiplayer delivers and is as addicting as COD4. The storyline leaves me wanting more, but it sure does deliver and leaves me satisfied enough.

    Wow! May I start with saying, that this is one of the most epic games ever? It would just be an FPS, but then they added some really epic environments and music. Anyway, the controls are easy, it's not that long but beating the whole thing on Legendary, well, it takes AGESSSSS! Best 360 game. Best Halo game. Buy. It. Now!

    This is one of the greatest games for the 360. The campaign is ok, but at least it has 4 PLAYER COOP cough cough (COD4). And the multiplayer is better than COD4 because it actually takes skill to level up. And to all those idiots who say COD4 is more realistic than Halo, NO SHIT Halo is a shooter that takes place in the future with a fucking super soldier no wonder it isn't realistic.

Also each game everyone has the same weapon. You can get shot a few times and still have a chance. Isn't that great? I'm not a big fan of the older campaigns( Halo and Halo 2) I loved this one. Thr levels Tsvaso's Highway to the level Halo is just pure fun on Legendary. But the multiplayer is where the entire community is. You could probably play this game in 2016 and there probably will be at least 500 people on. But now 2.5 years after it 9/25/07 release there are 75,000 to 200,000 people on depending on the time. Just purely one of the best games on the Xbox 360 you can buy!!!… Expand

    As much as I loved Halo 2, I still love Halo 3. this may be the only first person shooter out there that I realy like. I can't stand Call of Duty, Battlefield's all right but Bungie keeps doing what they're doing and it's awesome. I love killing grunts, brutes and jackals.

In the meantime I played all sorts of fps- COD, BF, Killzone (which is awesome), Resistance, and every single other one. And coming back to Halo when I rebought a 360 was like the greatest homecoming ever.     This is honestly one of the best games in my opinion. The gameplay is awsome and the story is absolutely amazing! Bungie really set the bar high and I cannot wait to see future Halo games. Large maps, large vehicle combat, the innovative weapons. These are one of the many things what makes Halo 3 one of the greatest games of ALL time. Long live Halo!

That was the thing about this game,; once you thought it was done... BAM some thing like a map pack shows up with new forge block and another couple hours trying to make a good multilayer tactic :) I really do miss those days.     The SP sucks sooo bad, i got bored during th FIRST mission. The multiplayer is well, and the local S/S is very fun. The graphics are crap and the voices of the enemies are annoying. I hope reach is better than this piece of hammered ****

    It is one of the best game I ever played. Epic campaign,perfect multiplayer. Someone give a 0 to this game. I can't understand why. The only bad thing of it is the graphic.If you didn't play this game, you can't say you're a gamer. Maybe it isn't the best Halo ever,maybe it isn't the best game ever, but surely it is a great game.     The campaign doesn't change much although many of the games small tweaks have a tremendous impact on gameplay and multiplayer. No duel wield, you can't switch weapons as fast which takes away the power to switch the sword at the last minute resulting in "cheap kills" The game feels more balanced on the multiplayer side compared to Halo 2 with less exploits all around.     THE BEST Halo game i have played so far. Campaign AWESOME. Multiplayer AMAZING. Forge INCREDIBLE. Theater BRILLIANT. Easy 10 in my mind and a lot of others. HALO FTW!

    Halo 3 rocks in every way, the graphics are great, the playability, and the voicework are all stellar too. The plot is very interesting as you follow Master Chief in his attempt to stop the Covenant once and for all. The multiplayer rocks the house as it is very fun to play in and the forge morge allows you to edit your own maps, providing tons of fun. Overall Halo 3 is a great game thatHalo 3 rocks in every way, the graphics are great, the playability, and the voicework are all stellar too.     This game is the reason I purchased an XBOX 360. It is phenomenal. The multiplayer is almost perfect in its design and amazing to play. The ranked playlists accurately match you with teammates of your skill and provide hours of fun competition.

    game of the decade in my opinion. of course the superior matchmaking is overly dramatized by fanboys (including me) but the in game story was amazing as well. i loved it from the moment you land on Seria. till the dramatic ending. and the skulls. a genius idea to incorporate player involvement, humor, and entertainment. i truly hope that 343 models there game engines off of this. insteadgame of the decade in my opinion. of course the superior matchmaking is overly dramatized by fanboys (including me) but the in game story was amazing as well. i loved it from the moment you land on Seria. till the dramatic ending. and the skulls. a genius idea to incorporate player involvement, humor, and entertainment. i truly hope that 343 models there game engines off of this. instead of halo reach (good game as well. just not as good)… Expand

    Halo 3 is the only game in the series that I have owned, and i'm glad I got it at the midnight release. The shooter gameplay is perfect, the feel alone in this game is the best.

    good game by bungie. deserves higher than the 7.7 average so i gave it a 10. the new halo games are absolutely terrible in comparison...if they get scores like 6 then this deserves a 100/10. i mean halo 4 literally killed halo...at least halo 3 was #1 on xbox live for two 1/2 years.

    This game is hands down the best game I have played in my entire life, nothing can beat it. The campaign was absolutely bad ass and awesome, it gives me this awesome feeling. The multiplayer, I can't explain how awesome it is, BTB on Sandtrap, Infection on Custom Sandbox maps. I can never get over how good this game was, and still is. I will never forget this game (Maybe that is because IThis game is hands down the best game I have played in my entire life, nothing can beat it.     I loved this game and I miss the good old days back when everyone used to play it. I miss messing around in the campaign, spending hours in forge and custom games trying to come out with the next fun formula for messing around with friends. It was a good time that I have no regrets about and honestly wish I could go back to.

    It's the addition of the Forge level editor and the saved films that give the game an even longer set of legs, legs that will probably keep you running at full speed until Bungie figures out where, exactly, to go from here.

    Halo 3 is the best Xbox 360 game to date. The single-player campaign and storyline are both very strong, but it's Forge and the Saved Films features that will likely go down in history as Bungie's crowning achievements. They've basically taken everything great about the series and improved upon it in every way, then added some amazing new features that we'll be using for years to come.
