    Just like when BFBC2 came out I opt to rather put in the COD disc, because it is just more entertaining period. Sure they are both great games, but COD outshines BF3 in all areas. So I'm sorry BF3 fanboys, you lost your battle so stop giving 0 scores here and go back to being a jet or chopper hog in that other game, where pretty much vehicles are the only fun thing about it.

    Mordern Warfare 3 is the exact same game with a different name, terrible Campaign that you finish in 3 and half hours, with the most irregular irritating little maps that you literally spawn on your enemy's shoulders. The lack of vehical's and broken class system creates a very very dry and plain expirence. The visuals are still comparable to my Playstation 2, voice acting and sound ofMordern Warfare 3 is the exact same game with a different name, terrible Campaign that you finish in 3 and half hours, with the most irregular irritating little maps that you literally spawn on your enemy's shoulders.     well what can i say , they added a couple of things and resold me mw2 after 2 years i thought they could atleast add real recoil and bullet physics.
    maps are tiny while mp seems to follow the same thing -run -gun-kill -run -gun - die , then repeat.

    This game is just like Madden series as of late, the game isn't bad, and it's pretty fun, but it plays just like the previous releases. Now that's not a bad thing, but when the other guy (BF3) comes out and makes a big splash with much improved graphics, large detailed maps, jets, tanks, helicopters etc... and you come out with    My Prev review should have been a 5, this will balance it out

    it's pretty much the same thing you've grown accustomed to seeing in a CoD game. Innovation and huge improvements are at a minimum. It appears to be a battle of who can have the shortest campaign in a FPS because each installment downgrades the importance of a SP in a MP themed game. To each their own in that regard.

    I would expect more from such a grand gaming company, I really would, but Infinity Ward has failed to deliver. You would expect a sequel to add more content, to innovated and improve (ex. Dark Souls, Batman: Arkham City) but it has failed to bring something gamer's need to the table. The best example of this would be eating "mom's delicious spaghetti" it may taste great the first coupleI would expect more from such a grand gaming company, I really would, but Infinity Ward has failed to deliver.     Gameplay is a step down. Shooting feels weak, maps don't feel right, animations are cluncky. I don't understand how we are suppose to pay more for this when it is clearly not what we promised when pre-ordering. Single-player game is so boring after just a little bit. Multiplayer is horrible with maps feeling cheap and firing your weapon is no fun.

    Unbelievable that anyone would give this game a zero. I sense some shenanigans here.
    This game is consistent with the quality we have come to expect from Call of Duty, and it is not only a progression of the franchise but also a new benchmark for the industry. It is an undisputed masterpiece.

    This thing which you maybe would call a game is horrible, the controls are bad and the same as modern warfare 2 and the singleplayer has a horrible storyline, the graphics are nothing compared to today's standard and the multiplayer is really boring. The sound is low quality and the voices are a great example of bad voice acting.     Consoles are to blame for this fps game's limitations and other fps too. This game was just affected more than any other, that's all. I was really looking forward to this title but the hype was all for nothing.

    I'm not gunna lie, this game is highly disappointing. Also, I've noticed a trend in all the cod reviews. It's basically paid critics vs user reviewers. Obviously the paid ones are going to give the game a much higher score even though it's **** and the users are going to give the game the score it deserves.

I can't comment on the story as I played 15 minutes of it before bed last night, but so far it is looking to be a great ride. Multiplayer is where MW3 shines. The tweak of making streaks based on points as opposed to kills is huge! This makes the game more accessible to people like myself whose K/D ratio is below 1 because now I don't need to have a stellar game to contribute to my team's welfare. New game modes make the multiplayer feel fresh. I love Spec Ops. I wish it allowed 4 people, but MW3 got it right to limit it to 2 players. Overall, this is the best shooter out there right now. BF3 is great and I will continue to split my gaming time between it and MW3, but MW3 is just more intense than BF3. This is a tough month to be a game. Competing with BF3, MW3, Skyrim and Halo CEA in the same month. Four great games, 3 shooters, and one epic RPG. Right now, MW3 is top of the pile. MW3 is worth the price of admission and that's not even bringing the COD Elite service into the picture. Elite makes MW3 into a social experience to rival Battlelog and Bungie's stat tracking software for Halo. This enriches the gamer's experience by providing goals, bragging opportunities, and community to the franchise. Without Elite multiplayer seems more often than not feels like playing with a bunch of selfish monkeys. With Elite, you can team up with like minded gamers and forge an experience that satisfies and builds your gaming prowess while enhancing the community of gamers as a whole.

    Long story short - this game is great. Totally worth every penny. Cudos to Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward. To all the people who say people shouldn't buy this game all I have to say is "Why did you buy it then?" This game will be played by millions for years to come.    … Expand

    Pretty disappointed that MW 3 isn't simply considered an expansion of MW 2. There is very little fresh content with MW 3. I would strongly argue that the maps I've tried so far this morning have been the worst of the Call of Duty series yet. CoD is still gimmicky as ever.

    This game is awesome. I really adds polish to a well formed multiplayer game, and the single player is more of the top nonsense that people love. I've loved COD4, MW2, and especialyl MW3

Just because you are against the idea of a game coming out once a year with only a handful of improvements does not mean the game is bad. Personally I am enjoying it very much. I'm about 2 hours into the campaign but I think it is awesome. Everything looks clean and the amount of action that is going on around you is amazing. Plus it all runs at 60fps as well. Multiplayer is also better then ever. Nothing major has been added but that doesn't stop the game from being addictive. It has that 'just one more go' vibe to it which means once you start playing it's hard to put down. This in my opinion is the makings of a good game. All the new maps are well designed and there are also new weapons, perks and game mode for you to try out. The game may be similar to Black Ops, or even MW2 but all these new additions make the game feel that little bit different. Also for those of you bored of Zombies you can try the new survival mode. I haven't tried this yet but I wasn't really a fan of zombies. I have a feeling I will definitely prefer this more, especially with a few friends. I honestly see why people complain about yearly releases of whats pretty much the same game, but you know exactly what to expect. So why go out and buy/play it? and for those people who didn't.     Normally Map packs for MW2 cost $15, this one costs 4x that amount and has a bug where your profile will be reset when you buy it.

    My advice, wait till its in the $5 bargain bin.

    I got this game knowing it would be very similar to all CoD games but after playing for about 15 min I honestly felt scammed, its pretty much the exact same game....why an i paying $60 for a black ops expansion? I also bough battlefield 3, and while the game play is similar its greatly refreshed, CoD needs to go outside the box more...I think this will be my last CoD MWF game =(

    If you don't, you won't. If you used to enjoy them, but were getting burned out, this probably won't change your mind.     This series hasn't changed since the first Modern Warfare; same game with different maps and guns. Really sad for a series that revolutionized war games with the first one. Battlefield 3 all day baby!

    Not much different from the last modern warfare. Campaign is just pointless filler. Nothing innovative or new in this game. This is supposedly the end of a trilogy, but i doubt this will be the last modern warfare.

I pity everyone who gives this a low score because they play battlefield. Battlefield is a fantastic game and easily one of my fans for this year (apart from the terrible single player). The fact that EA spent the time building a new engine to bring something new to the table says a lot. COD is for the kids, BF is for the real FPS fan imo.     One word. BORING. Absolutely boring and has no substance whatsoever. It is just another COD. I feel like I just bought a map pack for 60 bucks. Completely disappointed and if they poop another one out like this I will never buy a COD game again. End of story. I don't even know why I'm giving it a 4.... Like I said, just another COD with no substance that got pooped out for $$.

    Hi all, Just got to play mw3 on ps3 not very impressive at all, Multiplayer is let down big time by the map layout, there just a complete mish mash of hiding spots , places to camp, your scared to walk out ,incase you get shot in the back.     It's not that Call of Duty is necessarily a "bad" game, per se. The mechanics are sound, the gameplay is polished, the graphics are good. Because god forbid they be blacklisted from reviewing the next mega-hit that the company puts out (which, ironically, is a trend that they are helping perpetuate). At this point, we as gamers really need to step up and take notice of bias in our gaming sites.

    We as gamers need to do a lot of things, actually. Most importantly, we have to stop letting them shove media hype down our throats. Is MW3 ACTUALLY bad enough to warrant the zero I give it? No. In reality, it should be more like a three. But we can't compromise anymore. We can't allow constant headlines on IGN to dictate our purchases. We can't allow companies to sell us generic, shallow crap and get away with it. We can't allow companies to copy (more or less verbatim) previous formats and shove them down our throats. It's time that we, as gamers, finally take a little pride for once in our chosen lifestyle and tell the gaming industry that we're not gonna to take it, no, we ain't gonna take it, we're not gonna take it, anymore. Innovation should be celebrated, not labeled as dangerous and used sparingly. And certainly not completely absent, as it is in Modern Warfare three.

    Multiplayer is pretty much the same thing. Kids are tricked into thinking the game has changed significantly.

    A step backward in the series honestly. MW2 was better. Co-Op was a nice attempt, but just not enough substance to make it worth while. Multiplayer is also a negative. The new game modes are lame and they took out many of the new ones that made Black Ops at least tolerable. If you want to play a re-hash of MW2 with out any good maps then go ahead.

    MW3 seems to be the best game for a FPS this season. BF3 seems to be weeping on that fact their Multiplayer lags and runs at 30 fps.... 60 for the WIN!

    MW3 core game modes and play are great, I feel they did play it a bit safe and stuck with what works which makes this game solid and fun to play. Why stray away from a formula that works and produces? And the new Spec Ops is refreshing to play.

    Its the best at SP, MP, Spec-Ops simply everything. The game may be close to MW2 at graphics but its the best game ever. Best-in-class multiplayer is now more balanced than ever. Also you shouldn't worry about empty servers because it is best selling game ever. It deserves 10.

    For me, COD4 is the best from the serie, but Infinity Ward ruined everything after MW2.

    I wen't against what everyone said that its going to be the same game as the last, but it really feels like an expensive map pack. I't is a refresher compared to the cluster called black ops.

    Why would i pay 60$ for a game that came four years ago? Plus they managed to make an alternative nuke thay kills the enemy team, and gives DBL XP to the nuking team. Really IW? Oh, and the recycle buildings from CoD4! I never thought that CoD could sink this low. I am returning this DLC and will keep on playing CoD4.

Regardless of whether or not this game is good will not hinder the sales. I have extreme doubts upon anyone waiting for reviews to buy this game. If you're a fan, then you'll buy it.

    Same game. I would have given this game a "1" rating, but honestly. the Online is NOT as broken as MW2.. therefore Activision managed to get something fixed.

    +2 for some balancing
    -7 for same engine as CoD4
    -1000 dignity for every Activision team member who worked on CoD4, then proceeded to make terrible games thereafter. Just stop. CoD 4 is still better than MW3, that was 4 years ago.

    Call of Duty is the first person shooter equivalent of fast food. tastes like **** and lowers everyone's standards. There has been perhaps no negative influence greater in the entire industry on first person shooters. The quality of all FPS games from here on out will be lower as a direct result of this game's release. Congratulations.

    It's the same thing as MW2 although MW2 was better because it actually brought something new.
    P.S. The game mode Kill Confirmed does NOT get rid of campers.

    MW2 expansion pack is not worth full price. It's a decent game, there are still over powered weapons, there is still a bunch of annoying things to put up with online, the story is totally over the top, you character is defying death in every scene which becomes stale after the very first mission when you realize how many times you defied death in MW2.     Sure its pretty, but I could get the same effect from squinting my eyes at CoD 4. Could not have been a bigger disappointment had EA directly developed the whole thing.

    This game was slapped together. The guns sound the same and nothing new is added. Quickscoping is now easier than using an SMG. Call of Duty has been completely casualized and Modern Warfare needs to hang it up.

    Best First Person Shooter Ever! Put Butterfield 3 to shame. It's funny reading the B3 fangirls and EA employees give COD MW3 low ratings. Too bad for them, the unbiased gaming critics agree that COD MW3 is significantly better than B3. The graphics and story line in MW3 is unbelievable. New weapons are great. Multiplayer is fantastic.     I got what I expected. It's an enjoyable experience that improved upon the MW2. Multiplayer is also improved. It has new options for customization. I don't have the costly elite online, so I can't speak to that. The campaign is ok within the context of the established story. It's COD at it's finest.     Ultimately, Modern Warfare 3 feels similar to it's brethren, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great game. The single player element is still exciting, and multiplayer has more options than ever – if you're a fan of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 is a no brainer.

    I never expected Modern Warfare 3 to go toe-to-toe with EA's juggernaut this year, but it came out of the gates with a tour de force campaign and co-op mode. It loses points with a perhaps too-familiar multiplayer that caters to the juvenile on Xbox Live; though don't be mistaken, Modern Warfare 3 is one hell of a shooter and a highlight for a series that just won't die – no matter how much we wish it bloody would, at times.
