Just think about it, activison has all this money, Now they're not just going to wipe their *** with it, (well maybe) but anyway they are going use it to get better reviews, so they can make even more money. now getting to the game itself. this game..........is basicly exactly the same as MW2. For example, the graphics and gameplay are EXACTLY the same as MW2. dissapointing. the only thing that was changed was the killstreak rewards and maps. and get this, the maps are even worse than they before. very small and maze like garbage. another great dissapointment. If you made the mistake of buying this trash, i HIGHLY, 100% recommend selling it back in to get BF3. BF3 is a great game that deserves real 4.5 to 5 star reviews. In BF3 the graphics are better, the gameplay is better, its MUCH more realistic. theres a Huge selection of weaponry and vehicles. Hey guess what? in BF3 theres none of those little 10 year old campers that dont have the skill to get on their feet and actually get real kills, because if there is one, you blow the whole freakin building down on them. the maps are also MASSIVE in BF3, but MW3, no the maps are tiny and terrible. When i played the beta in BF3, it was all glitchy but still fun, but then i played the real game, it was amazing. they fixed everything. well thats my comparison, this review is based mostly off of facts not opinions. so take this review into consideration and GO GET YOUR MONEY BACK!!! It's incredibly original and the story line is just amazing...I'm of course kidding. Please bring me something original in a modern age fps. Just shows that a whole bunch of money doesn't mean you will produce anything decent. Time to start looking at Half-Life 3 conspiracy forums again, lol.

Sure there are the OMG moments like all Call of Duty games but its nothing that stands out soon after the moment is gone. You soon begin to notice there are A LOT more NPC enemies then previous games. Because of this the AI does not know how to respond. You will notice them all bunching up into a pile and you just mowing them down with whatever gun you have in hand. There simply is not enough cover for them. With that being said what kind of cover does that leave you. As for the story its nowhere near as Intelligent of a story that MW2 gave its MATURE audiance. In MW2 you actually cared about the characters. When main characters died it was an important event. Not just a "well yep it happened". By the way it took me 4h:30min to finish this campaign. ***Multiplayer*** This is the most disappointing aspect for me. I cannot stand it. To start the maps are like a maze they interweave and are FULL of corners, windows and ledges for people to hide and camp in. To be honest I don't understand why the developers would make the maps like this. Its encouraging people to spawn stand in the same spot and hope someone walks by. If you choose to not do this you will die. I guess their argument could be these are flanking routes. But for that to be true you have to spawn on the same "side" and move around. The spawning makes this impossible its completely random. You clear an area just to be killed by someone that spawned behind you and ran to a corner. There is no tactical aspect to this. Run run run die. Run run run die wash rinse repeat. The only other thing left to discuss is Survival mode...I'm sure they ment Horde Mode they must be mistaken. I already traded my copy in and will not waste my time or money on another game from this franchise. Expand

Yes, it's the same moderate quality textures, same unrealistic and pathetic gun sounds, same single player thats as linear as the line y=x., and that's a real shame. Activision's desire for a yearly release gives the developers no time for any real innovation or enough time for a new engine, this is what lets down this game. It's no longer fun to pay for a brand new game, along with 3 compulsory map packs or the elite subscription if you wish to avoid being 'kicked' from MP games, its becoming greedy. The included maps are tacky, small and repedative from my experience on them, and alas, it is clear that IW haven't listened to fans as the dreaded 'Noob Tube' returns as an early unlock which is perhaps my least favourite thing about call of duty. Graphics (7.5/10): Perhaps not as good as MW2, but a clear step up from Black Ops, the engine however doesn't allow for the dynamic lighting that some rivals to this franchise and the textures are clearly copy and pasted from earlier games. As usual, the guns look great themselves, the few high quality textures are devoted to firearms which look much better than anything else, albeit, not quite as good as BF3. One thing I really like is the 60fps, it leaves the game play smooth at all times, and never seems to dip.

Sound (1/10): Pathetic is the only way to describe them, unrealistic and completely wrong gun sounds return. There are also no dynamic sounds, so a sniper rifle on the other side of a map, 3 blocks away, sounds the same as if it were 5 metres away. Very, very dissappointing.

Multiplayer (4/10): A quote from MW2: "Same stuff, different day", which is a perfect description of the multiplayer aspect of MW3....its nearly IDENTICAL! Some different guns, some not, same sounds, slightly redesigned maps, same game modes practically. There is a huge hype behind "Kill Confirmed" mode, which would be great for a communicating team, however, I'm told that this has been taken from Crysis 2 (not 100% sure on that) plus a slightly different version of CTF. These add little to the game. The same stupid killsteaks, including the annoying Juggernaught that appeared in spec ops last time. Again, in a few months time, be prepared to shell out the MS point equivilent of US$15/$AU23 for the first of 3 map packs that if avoided will see you kicked from every server (or $50 for the elite service). The maps too, all seem identical bar the NYC map, which, combined with the tiny size ( 6 players per team max usually and the playing area is tiny) leaves one bored VERY quickly. Ah yes, to allow for new and unskilled players, noob tube returns from its nerfing in Black Ops to again leave me wanting to tear my hair out in frustration. "Quickscoping", another frustrating 'innovation' has returned to haunt me, an exploit of the over-helpful aim assist. The P2P servers are a clear step down from dedicated ones, they limit the number of players and lag like hell in Australia, I hate it, it's not as fun as past games.

Offline (3/10): Meh, another over the top, unoriginal story. Unbelievably short, finished on easy in 4 and half hours, contrary to most "professional" critics who say it takes 8. However, at least IW tried to do something new with a rip off of zombies along with some more co-op spec ops, however, no co-op will ever compare to Treyarch's Zombies. As a whole, the offline component appears half baked and tired.

Overall, I was going to give this game 6 or 7 out of 10, however seeing as its part of a series, it is a rediculous copy of the last one, hence its low rating. The "professional" critics who raved so highly need to get a grip and loose their bias, as a once CoD fanboy myself, I am very disappointed and will be trying out BF3 in the near future as I return this 'new' game. A pathetic money grab, if you enjoy CoD, play MW2 or MW1, they're by far better than this.

I will begin by explaining why I have given this game a 1 and not a 0 which it rightly deserves. I have given it a 1 because it is a game. What I mean by that is, time was spent to create it and it is still a video game so that means it deserves some credit in my playbook. What I mean by that is, time was spent to create it and it is still a video game so that means it deserves some credit in my playbook. Unfortunately for Modern Warfare 3, a 1 is all it gets and I will go into more detail soon. I simply want to get out a message out to Activision before I weigh the pros and cons of this game: Please remove the proverbial blindfold off of your eyes and open them before you start dishing out products which quite frankly suck. There, thats it. Simple and straightforward. Now, onto the review:

What can I say about this game that is positive? Apparently nothing because it is quite obviously such a severe rehash that its impossible to see the difference between it or Modern Warfare 2. That is no surprise seeing as 90% of this game is recycled from previous iterations of the same crap. Buildings are recycled, weapons are recycled, animations are recycled, set-pieces are recycled (I will expand upon the "beating a dead horse" set pieces further into my review), and above all the story is recycled. Wait a second though...what story? There is a story in this game? The story is as effective at explaining what is going on around you as the explosions are to making you feel immersed....IT ISNT! What do we as gamers have to do to get a sequel which challenges preconceived notions about what it takes to make a good game? A good game doesnt mean recycling what works...it means having the balls to move into risky territory as soon as you get the gut feeling that your game is becoming stale. Why Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer didnt see this is confounding, but then again Infinity Ward is not Infinity Ward any more...it became CrapWard as soon as its founders were betrayed and ditched by cash money based Activision. I digress though because I am heading off topic. Regardless, Modern Warfare 3 embraces a familiar concept therefore which makes for nothing but an overdose of drama which does nothing to create wonder at the game's attempted positives which ultimately fail. I said I would go into set pieces earlier and that is what I will do now. I pose a question first though...did Activision hire Michael Bay to direct the game or something? Because I swear there are more useless explosions, on rails vehicle scenes and linear corridors in this game then there are bullets being fired throughout the entire game. We were given a movie, and charged a criminal 59.99 to watch it. Speaking of which, Black Ops is STILL that price....WTF?! Anyways, I close with commenting that this game doesnt deserve a 70 or 80 or 90 or especially 100. In fact it doesnt deserve anything but a 10 on a 100 scale or a 1 on a 10 scale simply because there is no risk in this game. Its a rehash, copy and paste of what we already have, and that is COD4 and MW2. The COD Elite service? Just another way for Activision to rip off foolish little kids who know no better other than to ask their even dumber parents to front the cash for that useless service as well in addition to regular Xbox Live fees. Oh and whats with the $100 price tag on the Hardened edition? Does it come with a gold chain signed by DMX? I sure hope so dog! Cause it aint worth nearly the price otherwise! People, continue playing MW2 and rest assured that you are playing the most up to date experience you can get, and please for the love of god dont be suckered into buying those $15 map packs...you are just encouraging crap ware development for years to come. Close your wallets, and perhaps these guys will open their heads.

I have played the greatest Game of all time and I can assure you that MW3 is no Street Sweeper. Mw3 has none of the variety and originality that Street Sweeper has. The Graphics are about the same but have none of the genius and beauty that Street Sweeper has in droves. And while MW3 has Streets it sadly has no Sweeping mode. Fail, Epic Fail.

The story is like: us 3 ubersoldiers can win the WW3 without any problems. Its so unrealistic. I dont mean that water guns have more recoil than the ones in MW3 but the action is so absurd. It's quite sad that they repackage the same old thing with a sixty dollar price tag and expect you to buy into it as a new product. And then wine about the well deserved horrible user score. Too bad the so called pro critics are somehow blind to the fact that its simply MW2 with a few inconsequential upgrades.

If you are a COD fan, stick to Black Ops - its far superior, or even Modern Warfare 2. The gameplay is not fluid and there is no real since of "flow" to the action. Enemies commonly spawn right next to you. Maps are extra small and none of them really stick out as being memorable.
I haven't tried single player and very limited time with Spec Ops but what I have played i did like. probably the only decent parts of the game.

Usually I do not care about graphics but this was just disappointing. I have played about 1h of multiplayer and I am totally sick of it! More campers than ever with a lot of 12 year old kids, way too easy to spawn kill, overpowered weapons etc. I could go on for a whole essay if I would have the energy to. There are a lot of glitches also, of course the game was just released but these are simple, easy glitches that should have been noticed instantly during the beta tests. The maps are all recycled with the same looks as earlier maps, nothing new. I am really disappointed mostly because I waited out in the cold rain for almost 12 hours with my friends and we really were expecting a good game. That this is not. Save your time, go play something else because this is not worth it. At least I can still sell this on eBay for 90% of the money.â

Very, very disappointing. Barely any work put into this game at all. Spawn next to an enemy happens far too frequently and I seem to lose connection a whole lot. The game engine has barely improved since CoD4. They seem to sit back, do as little work possible and just rake in the money because it carries the Call of Duty name. That won't last much longer.

I am very disappointed in this game. The spawning is the worst I have ever seen, the minute you get a kill someone who spawned behind you is shooting you in the back, the lag is horrible, I keep hearing something about lag compensation? whatever it is it made the game worse. Their are already 10th prestige lobbies!

i am reading now how Sledge Hammer Games is begging people that like the game to go to Metacritic and give a good review because their ratings are so low, how pathetic is that? Their are loads of people on the Modern warfare 3 website asking for the developer to give them some feedback about all the issues and what their plans are to fix it, I have yet to see any response from the developer giving any re-assurance to their customers that it is being looked into.

The reason why people are still playing the game is because it is new and they haven't given up on it yet, but if it doesn't get fixed it will be in that big metal box at Best Buy in front of the checkouts with a $9.99 price tag!

The reason this game had record sale was because of the millions in crafty advertising, and the paid for critic reviews they get by giving out free game copies.

I will hang on to my copy in hopes that Sledge Hammer an Activision step up to the plate and fix this, but if they don't, it will be the last product I buy from either of these developers.

There is no balance to the game either, in order to win you need to use an assault rifle with a high rate of fire after that nothing else matters. I'd read that a dev from sledgehammer games has been begging for positive reviews, well he needs to as the game is simply not good. Lets talk about kill-streaks, i work my butt off to get these high streaks and they are so underpowered and easily shot-down. Air-support is pretty much useless now that point streaks can be earned through shooting them down. I was really looking forward to a NEW call of duty. Instead we got an expansion pack of MW2, new guns, some new crappy maps, and crappy killstreaks. The best part of this game was the campaign. I guess since they just took the MW2 multiplayer and put it in MW3 they had alot more time to focus on the campaign. I have a great analogy, MW3 is like the iPhone 4S, tons of hype for a new game, and something refreshing, but instead you get minor upgrades but the product itself is identical. We have the giant explosive set pieces that we grew to love in this games predecessors, that used to leave us in awe wanting more, but now we find ourselves bored and weary of this repetitive formula that Activision has churned out. The younger generation will find themselves jumping straight into the multiplayer and turning a blind eye to the campaign for a few months to come, and will most likely be satisfied with screeching at other players for their superior play style and on the other hand, shouting 'noob' at the top of their voice when they've secured the game winning kill.

For the rest of us, however, this is a different story. Where we find ourselves staring at what seems to be just a shameless copy of Modern Warfare 2, whilst complacent Activision and their new counterpart Sledgehammer Games are sleeping in their piles of money, not giving a toss about what the user base wants. I even think Sledgehammer's studio head, Glen Schofield, cry for help was just a stunt to get its loyal fanbase of under 16's to up its metacritic score to help him sleep in his piles of money at night.

However, I can see some good coming from the biggest entertainment launch event of all time. I can see a revolution, where gamers will eventually stand up to the money making machines and say 'Enough is enough', and demand some innovation and ingenuity from the people that are making billions of dollars from their pockets. Maybe we will eventually see 'reviewers' actually giving a game an honest view based on the pioneering qualities of a game, rather than what the fan base, and studios, want to hear. Maybe we will see studios realising that using the same recycled code and graphics with the same linear storyline over and over, isn't productive (I mean, what else can they be doing with their time?) and needs to stop.

Picked this up on release after playing Black Ops last night to prepare. Guess what? It was the SAME GAME. So entirely disappointed, I can't believe they hyped up this game to have it be nothing more than a map pack released for $60 that runs worse online. all i have to say: great game!............NAT

Ofcourse now you have the online multiplayer with so called dedicated servers, which are more laggy than any online game I have seen for consoles seriously even MW 2 had more dedicated servers. I actually really liked Call of Duty MW 1 because that game did something new and innovative not only for COD but the FPS genre in general but since than Call of Duty games have done nothing for me and have gone completely downhill. Instead of a full complete game this seems like an expansion pack DLC for Modern Warfare 2, it is not worth the money, save your money please Expand

This game is now the most grossing game of all time. And what did you get for your time and money. Well for most of us we got what we expected. The game is VERY similar to previous renditions. The game is so similar that many of who love the series are very disappointed in the fact so much has improved over the previous releases. You can go into much debate over the positive and negative of each title released. However, much to be said is that there was always things that improved. I would say that COD4 was a breakthrough and even MW2 was revolutionary in many ways. Black Ops brought us the "Currency System" of buying your perks and weapons and for some that was huge and a great add-on. But mainly you saw improvements that have become staples. Examples:
COD4 - First "Modern" war shooter for the series and really moved the genre forward to that. Think of it this way, how many WWII shooters exist these days. World at War - Introduced us to Zombies and who would have though they would be so addicting. Modern Warfare 2 - Brought us back to the Modern shooter and added some much needed improvements to the game play (Except for Quick Scoping - which is short for "I cant aim")
Black Ops - This brought us the Wager Matches and who would have thought playing games like Gun Game, Sharpshooter, One in the Chamber and Sticks and Stones would be so much fun. They also started the ability to Split Screen online. This was huge for those with families and multiple people wanting play at the same time.
Modern Warfare 3 - Kill Confirmed and Team Defend which are nice and have their positives. I think everyone like the campers being gone in Kill Confirmed and Team Defend has its positives when playing with friends. So what else did MW3 bring us. "Survival Mode" - No wait, that is Zombies in the modern war style. "Wager Matches" - No, these came from Black Ops. "Split Screen" - No that was from Black Ops too. "Modern Shooter" - No, this is from several renditions now. So really all we got was two new game modes. Taking the same weapons and adding a few new ones with a little shuffling of the perks does not make a game. It makes an Expansion. Let's look at Multiplayer and see what we have. First of all the Balancing of Weapons is way out of wack. You should not be able to snipe someone from across the map with a LMG in 3-5 shots. That is not possible. You should not have people aiming down the sights and turning a corner and getting a head shot when you were barely spawned and they have no radar or UAV up. Can you say "Aimbot" and cheating? To see MW2 aimbots working with MW3 on release day says they didn't even think to fix them. I can't believe the developers don't surf the websites and download all of the aimbots and think to patch them so they don't work. The maps are the same scene over and over again. A city scene, a bazaar, a city scene, a warehouse, a city scene with a downed helicopter. Really? In the previous releases we have been to the jungle, a ship deck, warehouses, cities, container yards, training setups with plywood, etc. Lets have some imagination again. With the weapons so over powered, the cheats in use so early, bad map designs and bad spawn locations you get very frustrated with the game. I know, so you are doing good in the game and disagree. Well I am a better then average player. I maintain a typical 1.2 Kill/Death ratio in most releases and so far in Modern Warfare 3 I have a .5 K/D. I think there is something wrong in that. The real crazy thing is I have about a dozen friends (Online and in real life) that are similar players or much better and none of them have a K/D over .7 and are complaining about the same things. Some of them have K/D ratios above 3.0. Then take the leader boards for Accuracy in MW3, and explain to me how the first 250+ people have a 100% accuracy. How is that possible? There is nobody that good and they should all be checked for cheating. Since Elite records all games it should be easy to watch the game and see they cheated. Really 30-0 in a TDM game. Is that possible without a hack? Most will say it is not.

Now you have the developers going on Twitter and asking "Fans" to come to Metacritic and "Boost" the user score. Really? If your product is good you will get a good score. Even if it starts out negative, as those who play it see its good they will balance out the score on their own. But if you have to ask your fan base to boost the score, you know you did something wrong. In my humble opinion, Activision screwed up in letting the two original IW developers go and they got a second rate person to handle the MW3 development team and such they got a second rate product. For me the release was something I looked forward too.

Someone obviously loved using the copy/paste tool because there were hundreds of models littered around the map making the flow of the multiplayer very difficult. Even for a person with a keen eye, it's difficult to keep an eye out when you have obstacles every other few cm in your way. The levels were really frustrating as a result of this.

Stealthing is very hard. I'm not a camper but the UAV's coming in every second and heavy footsteps even when crouching made it very hard to approach an enemy comfortably nested in the corner. Because levelling up takes a long time, you don't get to unlock anything of any benefit until at least around level 40, which is probably about 12-15 hours of game play!

Until then, you're a deer in the middle of a stampede, you're Simba in The Lion King (you know the sad scene where he is almost trampled). You're fubarred.

I understand it is a different developer from Black Ops, but gee, they could have at least taken some good ideas. The matchmaking for one, the fact it doesn't constantly spawn you RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE ENEMY and then spawn them RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU at critical moments! I think I waited about 15 seconds a time to spawn and instantly be killed for about 6 or 7 times in capture the flag at one point!

Oh, they didn't include locale match making too. It was great when I could play against people with connections closer by, when lag was less frequent and you could see enemies before they saw you. I'm in the UK and I'm guessing mostly Americans play this, which is great for them but not for us Europeans who have to send data to the states and back!

What's with the support packages as well? Do we really need a UAV called in every few seconds?

That new mode pits players against endless waves of AI. But hold on, they didn't even change the engine for Spec-Ops to allow for more than two people to play at once? Its shameful. The lack of innovation and change to one of my most beloved games has me questioning whether or not to buy the inevitable version next year. There is some fun to be had here, don't get me wrong. The multiplayer offers some fun times with friends, but its nothing you haven't seen before. The campaign provides a fitting, although predictable end to the story arc began in Call of Duty 4. Sound
The music score is average for the gaming industry. Weapon sounds are the worst of the series and contain little to no depth. Sound blending is also poor and could use more options in menus. Voice acting is well done.

    Gameplay
As stated in presentation, the campaign story is not very good, but the environments are varied and detailed. The developers should have taken some cues from the last game of the franchise and removed the action button prompt in cutscenes; it ruins the flow of the game. The multiplayer is well balanced, but contains so many lag related issues it is unplayable competitively. Spec Ops is improved with more missions and survival mode.

    Lasting Appeal
Fans craving more of the same will be satisfied but with so many lag related issues in multiplayer, the lasting appeal is virtually gone.

COD MW3 (or as it should be called COD MW2 map pack 4) is predictable in its staleness, but what's surprising is to what extent game assets were recycled from previous games. This is in essence a very expensive map pack. The fact that this game is so popular does not bode well for the gaming community, and COD MW3 may just herald the beginning of an age of COPY and PASTE gaming.

That game was fresh, innovative and it grabbed the initiative from the host of WW2 shooters that defined that period. Since then, Activision have sucked the life out of this franchise with a number of boneheaded decisions like annualising the series, farming the title out to studios with no connection to the franchise at all, mistreatment of Infinty Ward's creative team who saw the project from "birth" to becoming the biggest game series ever. However, for me atleast, their single biggest mistake was to fail to innovate. This is basically a map pack from COD4, same graphics, same physics, same weapons, same character skins, same structure. I fail to see how they can possibly have spent 2 years and millions/billions of dollars on this game. For that kind of money there should be an entirely new engine for the game to bring this into the modern world. Instead of creating a truly innovative product Activision and whats left of Infinity Ward are happy to take your money, lots of your money and put out a substandard product thats so wide of the mark its silly. Never experienced this in another game:You will get killed for having a better connection because the engine estimates that another player having a worse connection then you has only to hit once and you have to hit 3x to land a kill. Also getting shot behind walls is pretty popular. This "feature" also enables bad things like lag switches promoting cheating to a whole new level. Just google it. This really sucks big time. No other COD had this big a problem with lag compensation. Good features introduced by Treyarch were simply undone: like flagpoints getting transparent when you aim behind it. Where are the contracts? Bad matchmaking. One who starts at level 1 directly plays against prestige level 4-5. Great fun. Also all explosives were reduced so drastically that grenades become more of joke. It lands directly besides your enemy but doesn't kill him. How realistic is that?

The map design has already been explained by others. I will simply say that they really doesn't weight up against the Black Ops maps. The other stuff really looks like mw2: No big improvement here. The SP had more wow moments in MW2. Quickly played and quickly finished. No innovation here.

A step backward in the series honestly. MW2 was better. Co-Op was a nice attempt, but just not enough substance to make it worth while. Multiplayer is also a negative. The new game modes are lame and they took out many of the new ones that made Black Ops at least tolerable. If you want to play a re-hash of MW2 with out any good maps then go ahead.

I grew up on great tactical shooters like Rainbow Six, Counter Strike, and Operation Flashpoint and Call of Duty does not have that feel at all, choke points are easy as hell to control and the maps are super linear. The added verticality of the maps, do not change the style of gameplay from other cods. Campaign is meant to blow you away with its over the top Michael Bay action, but in the end the infinite spawning, been there done that story, and anti-climatic ending bring it down. The multiplayer is weak, yet fun and very enjoyable, but guns like the type 95, Scar-L, and ACR added with profiencies, become overpowered and completely unbalanced. The new Killstreaks are a plus, but IMO the maps Downturn, Village, and Arkaden have too much going on with debris to try and force an illusion on having them be non linear. Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer completely screwed over the free range of motion that your used too in MW1+2 and Black Ops, ur constantly getting stuck on Barrels pipes and pillars that stick out from the walls and ground, ending up in death. Graphics and sound are subpar that they cant even be explained and the 60 fps compared to bf3 30 fps doesnt make a difference idk why IW likes to brag about 60fps.

Gameplay-4- Spec Ops shoould be 4 players, story isnt that much better than BF3, and Mp is always CoD forte.

Graphics-0- Game looks just like MW2(2007), Crysis 1+2, BF Bad Company 1+2, BF3, all blow this engine out of the water. Physics are terrible, I would atleast expect Grenades to crack plywood in half.

Sound-1- voice acting is ok, but the MP communication is terrible best to stay in Party Chat, and the gun sounds are terrible just copy and paste or Foley once again BF3 blows it out of the water.

Lasting appeal-6- the prestiges and Spec Ops are going to keep you well going lol for a while

Conclusion- Imo as Battlefield is the better game, Call of Duty is just as fun, but the lack of innovation and upgrades are bringing it down, and if Infinity Ward doesn't get rid of the Quake Engine and make a new one then this may be the final CoD worth mentioning, and Activision needs to stop with the yearly releases, or else people are going to get sick and tired. If not then Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Rainbow Six: Patriots, Halo 4, and Homefront 2 (now made by Crytek) are going to be chipping away at their Profits and along with Battlefield right in the Rear view it does not look good.

This is exactly what happens when a game has a 1 year development cycle. This is a 60 dollar map pack nothing more modern warefare 2.5 that activation is charging 60 bucks for. The only way the developers will actually improve the game is if people stop buying it. Luckily i had a feeling this would happen and tried a friends first, very little new innovation few guns thats it. Literally a map pack

Ultimately, Modern Warfare 3 feels similar to it's brethren, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great game. The single player element is still exciting, and multiplayer has more options than ever – if you're a fan of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 is a no brainer.

Modern Warfare 3, while still an excellent thrill ride in its own right, feels far too similar to MW2 or even Black Ops for my taste.
  3. I never expected Modern Warfare 3 to go toe-to-toe with EA's juggernaut this year, but it came out of the gates with a tour de force campaign and co-op mode. It loses points with a perhaps too-familiar multiplayer that caters to the juvenile on Xbox Live; though don't be mistaken, Modern Warfare 3 is one hell of a shooter and a highlight for a series that just won't die – no matter how much we wish it bloody would, at times.
