    IGNORE THE REVIEW BOMBS!!!

I'm a lot of hours in and from my perspective I've experienced none of the negative. No graphical or performance issues. I don't know if some people are just overly picky or what.

It feels and looks much smoother than BoTW was. And it doesn't feel like a BoTW DLC at all. What it feels like is a sequel. A sequel that builds on and improves what the original started. It's the familiarity of BoTW but more and better. The story is better. Monsters are so much better and there are more of them. The world feels so much bigger with the 3 levels.

The new abilities are mad and over-the-top but in the best way. It offers crazy amounts of opportunity for new stuff to try. I've found myself running into some construction stuff and just spending way too long making crazy things. And you can use them together. Got a bunch of logs and a high place to get to? Whack the logs together, turn it upright, grab it with Ultrahand and then ascend through your nifty log stack. Need to cross a long gap but don't have enough stuff to cover it? Fuse a bunch of stuff together. Push it out and rotate it then use recall for a rotating bridge.
The possibilities are endless. You can even fuse building parts together into spinning monster traps.

This is a masterpiece. Don't listen to the overly picky, negative reviews. I know it's their opinon but in this case, those opinions are wrong.
But, if you didn't like BoTW you probably won't like Tears.

An incredible new entry to the Zelda series. If you thought BoTW was a masterpiece (and you would be right), ToTK puts it at another level, for sure. The amount of things you can do is overwhelming, and even saying that is underwhelming compared to what you'll experience.

I recognize there's room for difference of opinion here, but I'm with the majority that love the new puzzle dynamics of Tears of the Kingdom. It's like the Incredible Toon Machine and Portal had a baby.

Is it different from the traditional, linear Zelda games? Yes, definitely. BOTW and TOTK build on the open-world dynamics of Wind Waker and the original Legend of Zelda, with survival

Is it different from the traditional, linear Zelda games? Yes, definitely. BOTW and TOTK build on the open-world dynamics of Wind Waker and the original Legend of Zelda, with survival elements, and by expanding the collection theme we've seen in some games. I understand why some fans of the traditional model feel betrayed and confused by the new games' popularity.

But I loved the old games, and I love the new ones, too. The puzzles, the graphics, the story—all of it!

Zelda has always had its puzzles, but these recent iterations really feel more like puzzle games than they do RPG's. Enemies are sparse and non-threatening. In the 2 main temples I've done so far, there was probably 4-5 enemies in total throughout the ENTIRE dungeons. I spent the VAST majority of the time navigating the environment and solving puzzles. The bosses themselves are EXTREMLY easy and again play more out like a puzzle than they do an RPG boss.

There's a lot to do, but rarely does it feel like any of it is worth doing. They did improve on this aspect with TOTK by adding in multiple armor sets, some of which can be found randomly throughout the world. However, all of the armor essentially has the same armor rating, and all your swapping is special effects or resistances.

The weapon system, while improved from the first game, still unfortunately feeds into the lack of character progression. Just like BOTW, all weapons break. Between this and the armor system, it basically makes the entire gear system feel pretty underwhelming. You will open chest after chest to find a stack of arrows, a basic building component, or maybe an ore of some type. Chests very rarely feel rewarding or exciting a result.

Outside of hearts and stamina upgrades there is essentially ZERO character progression. Just like BOTW they give these upgrades by making you do... wait for it, dozens of puzzle shrines! Atleast the puzzle shrines are much more interesting this time around, but its essentially the same exact mechanic.

The performance issues are also noticeable. Particularly in the fire temple, I was dropping to about 5-10 frames in some spots. It's always amazing to me that consumers let Nintendo get away with this. This is unacceptable in a 70 dollar AAA game.

It's hard to imagine what they spent 6 years on here. The level design is phenomenal. Basically, everything else is reused from BOTW. It's always shocking to see the critic reviews on these games as well. I just don't see this being anywhere near a perfect experience, but to each their own I guess. I consider TOTK average all the way around.

but it runs poorly even if caped to what feels like 30 FPS, promises ultimate freedom but don't even has a standard like customizing the controls to your liking, overusing the same scheme over and over again so 80% of all solutions is one of your 3 movement abilities or the fuse ability to be able to even deal moderate damage. the controls and menus are so overloaded and confusing because you are not able to make favorites on items or to exclude them to make it more pleasant.

The dungeons are nicely themed but are just gated behind the NPC characters, their abilities (wich are mostly downgraded abilities from BotW) and otherwise they are just bigger shrines and a boss.

The Bosses are good designed, use the limited abilities nice and you can encounter the bosses in the underground after defeating them once wich is a nice feature.

    The Underground
The best area in the game, dark, hard and rewarding

the story is completely BS and butchers both the past Zelda Lore and the Lore presented in the game itself

overall the game feels like nintendo trys to get into and open world RPG with souls aspects and lost the The Legend of Zelda soul completely. just make BotW and TotK a spin of series instead of butcher the Main series and stop selling games for 70 bucks for a console that can't run it properly because you messed up

I consider myself a huge fan of The Legend of Zelda, in fact my personal top 5 games of all history includes Ocarina and Majora's.
In my opinion the following games of the saga were only a bit step behind those ones, but we are talking about truly masterpieces too. I refer to Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, Skyward Sword and Link's Awakening.

It seems the company has forgotten that one of the hallmarks of the saga is the innovation. Every game launched since Ocarina of Time is very very different from the previous one. The originality and uniqueness present on each release is over. This TOTK is just a copy-paste of BOTW with very little mods and it's very sad.

In the first 3 hr of playing this TOTK, I only talked with 8-9 stupid automatas and a spirit (not counting the intro when Zelda talks to you). The rest was boring and basic exploration, 2 tiny dungeons and 5 min combat. In my opinion the evolution taken by the company on this saga is clearly wrong.

This huge world is too much for Link, most part is empty and the gameplay is mainly based on exploration, gathering, cooking, climbing, walking and repeat and then repeat again. Don't expect here to see an Elden Ring universe full of life with very different and captivating scenarios but without forget including those great "closed" areas of previous Soul's games. Because one of the funniest and challenging parts of an adventure game like this one was supposed to the challenge of complete the great dungeons/temples that now are a mere shadow of those ones. In adittion final bosses are way too easy and derivative.

The landscapes now are all very similar within itselves and the gameplay is boring. Why they left behind all the charming stories that was a key element of the game? Because don't forget that The Legend of Zelda is a game about stories, relationships with people and all vested with an awesome halo of fantasy and magic with hints of epic and sometimes tragic. Now all these elements gone and it doesn't seem to come back soon (at least while people continue loving the path they have taken with last 2 games...)

Even the epic music that featured most of the Zelda videogames and made us to fall in love with it (how to forget saria's song, bolero of fire, gerudo valley, ballad of the goddess, kakariko village, romani ranch...) has now turned into boring and typical tunes without soul.

Definitely I can't recommend anyone to play this game.

The majority of the map is just a reshuffled map of hyrule from BOTW. Korock seeds and shrines are the main gameplay loop in the open world AGAIN. Finding towers to update the map, story told in pieces and just generally messing about in a massive soulless open world was all present in BOTW. The difference is at least it was initially fresh and exciting in BOTW as this was the first time for us players, and even that became repetitive and tedious as the game played out. Now we have a huge DLC expansion that asks us to do that all over again in a map mostly the same as BOTW. There is no more excitement of discovery when you realise that most of what you find in these massive maps is the same challenges recycled agin and again: korock wants to get to a friend, guy needs you to hold up sign, shrine in the distant which will reward you maybe a weapon and orb, towers in distant for map uncovering and so on. I’m addition to stagnation it also comes with its own issues. Performance issues like this is unacceptable for a game charging a next gen price. The new ultra hand ability while cool in theory is super finicky and frustrating to control. The camera is annoying especially when you activate ascend and it snaps upwards all of a sudden disorientating the player, they should have a camera zoom out like in xenoblade. Physics are annoying especially when trying to craft something with ultra hand. The way I see this game is a very messy game glued together unstably like the many failed contraptions I created. I could go on but the bottom line is that Zelda has officially lost its heart as this is most likely the desired direction they will take for the foreseeable future. What happened to bright vibrant locations like in wind water and skyward sword. What happened to awesome intricate dungeons like in ocarina of time and twilight princess. Instead we have a massive soulless open world with boring objectives. Expand

The Legend of Zelda: Torture of the Koroks.

Nice to see that the silly low reviews are not having a major impact on the overall score for this absolute masterpiece of a game.

Before the release we was aware that TOTK is the sequel to BOTW so why people are complaining about the same map is mind blowing to me, especially when it is quite clear that the map has been expanded and I mean EXPANDED, to the point where I am still happy to travel and explore areas that I already explored in BOTW, I will admit that sometimes exploring the main land can get a little boring ( at times ) but the new areas and altered regions definitely help with rectifying this issue.

The weapons system, yes this may be frustrating at times but let's be honest, for this to be the main reason to give this game a bad score is because these people don't like a challenge, plus it pushes the player to explore more of the map and find new weapons so that is a win.

So far my only personal complaint ( which is why I have knocked a point off my score ) is the new dungeons, I like that they have tried to keep the traditional dungeons but they don't give off the same feeling that I would experience in something like Windwakers Dragon Roost Cavern and the Tower of the Gods, or the Twilight Princess Temple of time and palace of twilight... the dungeons in TOTK feel rushed, I found them fairly easy and quick to complete.
I miss the old compass, mini bosses and boss keys, I feel like these made a Zelda game and would probably of given TOTK a record breaking score.

Graphics seem to match that of the graphics in BOTW which still to this day has proven to be one of the most visually stunning games on the Nintendo Switches outdated Hardware.

Again going back to the Switches Hardware, I expected a few frame rate drops but I was honestly Shocked with how quite smooth the game is overall! we have a console that released in 2017 and I somehow can drop from the Skylands directly down into the depths without hardly any performance issues! fantastic work guys!

The new building mechanic is a very nice touch... does not necessarily feel Zelda-ish but I am having way too much fun with it to care about that in all honesty.

Loving the new variety in enemies/ bosses

The memory missions are a step up from BOTW.

Music as always with any Zelda title is a masterpiece.
    .
Can't get enough of the Shrine puzzles! each one is challenging in its own way.

    Breath-taking story!

Thirdly how could Nintendo beat their latest entry winning GOTY from every source you can think of. I can confidently say Nintendo somehow blew my mind. I’ll start moving through the many features that make TOTK a solid 10.

Firstly combat although similar to the last game has gained a new dimension in its fuse mechanic. You can change how a weapon feels entirely just by slapping some random item on to it. You want fire? Slap a fire breather on top of it. You want to reach a high place slap a rocket on your shield. The combos while not infinite are so fun to experiment with that I’m excited to see what the wild people do after months of time with the game.

The map has been entirely reworked. As far as the geometry of you remember BOTW you’ve still got an idea where many of the main landmarks are. But Nintendo has innovated on many of the locations and built new life into the previous entries world. If you deeply immersed yourself into BOTW you’ll see how the world has advanced. The actions link made in the first game has directly impacted everywhere. New towns have sprouted, characters who already had decent developments have moved forward in life and it’s interesting to learn and see what has happened in the years since BOTW. It feels like coming back after a long trip and seeing all your old friends.

Dungeons are back, not as wild as previous Zelda entries but they’re fun, each unique. Objectively they’re pretty similar but the classic gimics and puzzles are more than enough to satisfy even the veterans of the series.

    Boss fights, well made.
    Story, awesome.
    Things to do? Plenty.

I also forgot to mention if you thought BOTW was big, well they doubled the maps size with the inclusion of 2 new zones. Buy this game now.

Absolutely breathtaking. Better than BOTW in nearly every sense. The world is bigger and better, and while i have just finished the main storyline, I still have hours more to go to find all this game has to offer. My only real complaint is the lack of post game- it uses the same "star profile" system that BOTW uses, which I wasn't a fan of then and feels even more disappointing this time.Absolutely breathtaking. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a game that deserves every accolade it receives, for it embodies the essence of limitless possibilities and introduces groundbreaking mechanics seldom seen in the realm of video games. This latest installment not only showcases remarkable innovation, but it flawlessly executes these novel features, defying expectations and proving itselfThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a game that deserves every accolade it receives, for it embodies the essence of limitless possibilities and introduces groundbreaking mechanics seldom seen in the realm of video games. This latest installment not only showcases remarkable innovation, but it flawlessly executes these novel features, defying expectations and proving itself bug-free throughout countless hours of gameplay.

One of the game's greatest strengths lies in its near-infinite potential for tackling its diverse challenges. The developers have masterfully crafted a world that encourages players to think creatively and adapt to various situations. The choices at our disposal are seemingly boundless, allowing us to approach each hurdle with an unparalleled level of freedom. The depth and breadth of these possibilities are awe-inspiring, leaving players with a sense of astonishment and a thirst for exploration.

Furthermore, the introduction of new mechanics is a testament to the game's innovative nature. These mechanics not only broaden the horizons of the Zelda franchise, but they also demonstrate a boldness rarely seen in video games. While other titles shy away from implementing such intricate actions due to the potential problems they may create, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fearlessly embraces them. The result is a seamless integration of mechanics that open up thousands of possibilities, enriching the gameplay experience beyond imagination.

Remarkably, despite the complexity and ambition of the game, not a single bug mars the experience. The attention to detail and the dedication of the development team shine through, as they have meticulously crafted a polished and bug-free adventure. This level of quality is a testament to their commitment to delivering an exceptional gaming experience, and it ensures that players can immerse themselves fully in the world without any technical distractions.

While Tears of the Kingdom maintains the beloved aesthetic style of its predecessor, it is the captivating storyline that truly captivates players. Though it adheres to the classic Zelda formula, it manages to surpass expectations, delivering a narrative that not only meets but exceeds even the loftiest of expectations. It strikes the perfect balance between familiarity and innovation, captivating both newcomers and long-time fans alike. The story takes unexpected twists and turns, pulling at our heartstrings and evoking a range of emotions throughout the journey.

In conclusion, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom stands as a testament to the magic of adventure and the boundless potential of video games. Its almost infinite array of possibilities for approaching challenges, combined with groundbreaking mechanics flawlessly implemented, is nothing short of awe-inspiring. The absence of any bugs reinforces the dedication and craftsmanship behind this masterpiece.

Moreover, the game retains the iconic Zelda aesthetic while delivering a story that surpasses expectations, leaving players with a sense of wonder and fulfillment. Tears of the Kingdom is a true gem that enriches the Zelda legacy and sets new standards for the Zelda’s saga.

P.D. To those who have expressed their opinion about TLoZ: TotK as if it were just an overrated and generic DLC... Perhaps there has been a slight confusion regarding the expectations that were set.

Let us remember that Tears of the Kingdom is, in fact, a sequel. As such, it builds upon the rich history and gameplay that have characterized the Zelda franchise. We can't expect a sequel to completely reinvent the wheel, can we?

Now, let's discuss those who believe that the story is too short and that the rest of the content boils down to trivial add-ons. In the Zelda series, there has always been a special magic in exploring environments, unraveling secrets, and immersing oneself in side quests. After all, that's part of the fun! So, perhaps, a little more appreciation is needed for the intricate and holistic nature of the Zelda experience.

In summary, dear players, I invite you to embrace the essence and charm of Tears of the Kingdom. It is a sequel that builds upon its predecessors, providing a captivating and challenging adventure. So, before judging it as a mere DLC or undermining its content, take a moment to immerse yourself in the world of Hyrule and discover the wonders that await.

May your future adventures in Tears of the Kingdom be filled with awe and excitement!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. In my opinion, Tears of the Kingdom is the pinnacle of gaming, and by that also the best game on the Nintendo Switch. Breath of the Wild, it's predecessor, was also a fantastic game, but it lacked quite a few things to make it perfect: The exploration was often interrupted by rain, it's Version of Ganon felt shallow, collecting the Koroks felt repetetive and even though they were fun to play, the divine beasts weren't unique enough, in the sense that they all shared the same theme. Tears of the Kingdom expandes on all of these things. There are tons of new ways to explore Hyrule wether it is via vehicles that you can design and build yourselft, by using adapted climbing suits, the new ascend ability, and the fuse ability. They also reintroduced traditional dungeons, which is one of my highlights in the game. Though they are a bit easy compared to other entries in the franchise like Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess, they're still a ton of fun to play. The Hunt for Korok seeds also became a lot more fun, due to the fact that there are some completely new ways to collect them. The story is also very intriguing and delves a lot more into the lore of the series. Just like in breath of the wild, you experience the story via memories that you can obtain by absorbing dragon tears, but there's also another storyline going on in the present, and both of them are connected. This games version of Ganon(dorf) is far better than the one in botw. The map also became far bigger, because this time you don't only play on the Land of Hyrule itself, but also in the sky and in the Underground. Zelda has never been as ambiguous before, as it is in Tears of the Kingdom. It's truly the ultimate gaming experience :) Expand

Great Sky Island was beautiful and colorful and felt fresh until it slowly starts to creep in, as you progress in the game, that barring a few changes this is the EXACT SAME GAME.

    Zelda is absent.

The story is told through memories.

The Calamity is now called The Upheaval.

Weapon durability still exists, but worse all the weapons have decayed so you have to glue goofy **** to them so you can hit something more than six times.

All the Sheikah slate abilities are swapped for different but equivalent Zonai abilities.

    Complete shrines to get orbs.

Collect 4 orbs to upgrade health/stamina.

They're so similar Nintendo could have released them at the same time like Pokémon Games do. Instead of Pokémon Red or Blue you would have Legend of Zelda: Breath or Tears. Do you want crafting mechanics? Pick Tears. Or do you want action mechanics? Pick Breath. The differences outside of that are minimal and superficial.

I just can't believe I paid $90+ CAD when I could have just kept playing Breath of the Wild. I thought this would be the safest game to pre-order of all time, after how great BOTW was. And yet having been burned a few times in the past by pre-ordering, I somehow got burned again.

Also something I’m glad to see is a lot more unique enemies and bosses as that was one complaint I had with Botw. Another complaint I had with Botw was weapon durability which fusing has somewhat helped to Negate and it also allows for some really cool weapons.

Overall yes Botw layered the ground work and this game couldn’t happen without it but this game took that open world masterpiece of a formula and damn near perfected it so I’m glad to say this is easily in my top 5 favourite games of all time and the best Zelda game.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. An overrated sequel to an overrated game.

For Fallout, Skyrim, and Ubisoft fans this The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will delight players. For fans of Zelda, Dark Souls, Castle Vania, Metroid, the story is different for some.

To begin this game takes place on the same map assets wise as the previous game. It uses the same terrain just with some slight differences such as sky islands, and the depths. The overworld is mostly the same, the shrines are in similar, if not the same spots as the original game, and there is a new addition "Dungeons/Temples?".
For those criticizing the trailers I'm sad to say you were mostly right that this game is pretty much a DLC in sheep's clothing.
The game again ditches the traditional Zelda formula and lacks features from previous games and adds new mechanics that flat out break the puzzle solving aspects of Zelda as a whole. With the new building mechanic you are able to pass complex puzzles and problems with ease to the point where it feels like you are cheating and breaking the game. For me this breaks the immersion of puzzle solving and completely thwarts meaningful reward to gameplay which seems to be a common theme in this game.
The dungeons are short, lack luster, and feel disjointed. They do not convey the feeling that someone spent months carefully crafting complex puzzles that require critical thinking, but rather a short 15 minute trial of "put square box in square hole". As you progress through these dungeons there is no progression. It is single puzzle, single boss, receive your upgrade and leave.
The game is somewhat broken. The performance issues are glaring including crashes, low framerate, long loading screens, corrupted saves, and lost progress. Some small complaints that break the game too would be after acquiring the sages into your arsenal they constantly follow you with buggy AI at all times. You cannot put them away by force and as a result an accidental tap of the a button could break you from sneaking up on an enemy, to alerting the horde.
Koraks are back, and more annoying than ever now that you have to complete long drawn out carry me to my objective missions that are just a plain waste of time.
All weapons still break and further complicate the crafting mechanic so weapons that you grind to get feel less satisfying to have knowing that they are forfeit unlike any previous Zelda game.
As for the story it came off as melodramatic and came off to me like the cutscenes from Metroid Other M or a Scene from Ninja Gaiden, honestly not really worth talking about. Ganon is the bad guy because he's a jerk and a meanie. Zelda time travels to stop him, and works with the previous rulers of Hyrule to do so. Doesn't get more complex than that.

Overall this game feels like only a minor upgrade from Breath of the Wild, and the argument of DLC seems to reign true here. In the future I would like to have non-breakable weapons and have abilities rewarded to you as you play, rather than having them handed out to you right from the beginning without earning them. Gaining new abilities in games should reward the player by adding complexity to gameplay rather than aiding the playing by making the game less difficult.

Another flop Zelda game for me, I rate 4/10 for still being a fun game minus the Zelda title.

BOTW looks like a beta test compared to how much this game holds. I personally jailbroke my switch to get it early and paid the $70 3 times for friends just because it deserves it. Games are not made like this anymore and it honestly deserves every bit of money you can throw at it.

Proper 10/10 game, as expected. Its BotW, but bigger, better, with endless creativity. Perfect.

I think it's a masterpiece, without a doubt, one of the best games I've ever tried. It stands out for its incredible open world and its construction. Its world full of life seemed charming to me. Its animation, history and soundtrack make this incredible game deserve the GOTY for me. My rating for this incredible game is 1010

The map is almost the same from BotW, But now have 3 layers instead of only one, The animations and some of the weapons are the same from BotW, But there is a totally new story, new enemies, new bosses, new shrines, New Powers and improved gameplay. The game is a gem, Strong contender for GOTY! Very fun and over 50 to 100 hours of gameplay. I do recommend to everyone!

More of the same. Lots more of it.

Seems like the critics didn't play BoTW.

The game is very well done, it's a shame that the switch needs more power to run the game perfectly apart from the fact that there are very few tutorials for the new mechanics.

This is just... wow. What can I even say? This game is superb. Great opening area, great map in general(they made it fresh despite being the same one from BOTW!), the new gimmicks with fuse and ultrahand would seem ridiculous once upon a time, but they're the natural progression from Breath of the Wild.

Unfortunately the framerate isn't great, but this isn't really TOTK's fault, it's

Unfortunately the framerate isn't great, but this isn't really TOTK's fault, it's the Switch's, and the chip shortage likely prevented them from making a Switch pro.

There are other cons, but they're far outweighed by the pros. I spent like 20 hours on this game in the opening weekend alone, and I could go for much longer. The world is just filled to the brim with so much stuff to do! One of the Switch's best games for sure.

I see people saying it doesn't deserve the $70 price tag because it looks and runs worse than the other next gen games that are priced for $70, but while graphics ARE Important don't get me wrong, this game justifies it's price tag in other ways. It's definitely worth $10 more than most Switch games priced at $60. Yes, many Switch games are overpriced at even that amount, but many others are plenty worth $60, and TOTK is worth $10 more than those aswell. Fantastic game.

    ———

За шесть лет на свечке появилось аж 4 проекта после «придатка», где остроухий в трико давал жару вечному злу:

Монструозная — «Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda»

    Зубодробительная — «Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity»

Полностью оправдывающая название последней консоли «Switch» и её уникальность — «The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD»

    И филигранная — «The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening».

    ———

Глядя на них «Тётка» ощущается колоссальной, но всего лишь тенью «Ботвы». Игрой страдающей болезненным(на мой вкус) для индустрии понятием классического, «вымученного» сиквела.

Этот абзац не отменяет того, что игра хороша, но если философия «Breath of The Wild» — это не действовать по шаблону, то для «Tears of the Kingdom» у меня плохие новости.

This game has innovated so much in six years the fuse mechanic and ultra hand alone are some of the most creative things ive ever seen in a video game. The amount of content side quests caves dungeons and sky islands are mindblowing for the switch. it runs at a stable 30fps ive only noticed dips while using ultra hand in some instances but performance has been very smooth. there have been no bugs or glitches at all. Its so rare for a game to fill me with childlike wonder and excitement ive had so many moments where my jaw has dropped to the floor also the enemy variety is insane this time around. Pick this game up you will not regret it. p.s. people who say this is $70 dlc and rating it a 0 have never played the game and are review bombing it, obviously it shares dna with botw but there haz beena complete reinvention of all the systems gameplay and hyrule itself. i would compare it to gow into gow ragnarock it reuses some things but manages to make it feel completely new Expand

I wasn't sure how Nintendo would find a way to top their work in Breath of the Wild back when it came out, but I feel they have here – with years of more polish applied and refined exploration. [Issue #66 – July/August 2023, p. 71]

The good thing is that, thanks to the limited possibilities, the creators couldn't go crazy and swing for hundreds of game miles. Instead, they created what could be called Elden Ring in a travel pack. [Issue#328]

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement. It's not every day that such a special video game like this comes around. Truly the stuff of legend.
