    honestly as someone who 100% BOTW, i was pretty skeptical of TOTK when i first saw it bc i didn’t want it to be the same game with the same world with added features. I didn’t wanna play a game i’ve already played but after getting TOTK, my mind shifted completely once i got to the surface bc everything was so different and the world felt more alive. there are even long fun side questshonestly as someone who 100% BOTW, i was pretty skeptical of TOTK when i first saw it bc i didn’t want it to be the same game with the same world with added features. I didn’t wanna play a game i’ve already played but after getting TOTK, my mind shifted completely once i got to the surface bc everything was so different and the world felt more alive. there are even long fun side quests that keeps you immersed. so far i’d say the $70 was worth it due to the vast amount of content and changes.… Expand

    It does feel just fantastic. The new mechanics are brillant and gives a much of freedom when it comes to solving puzzles and all the sort. I think this is perfect for all those people, which liked BotW so much. And in the same time, the people who had no fun with BotW, will also don't find a way into this game - because the gameplay is very deep and progression comes from expierience.It does feel just fantastic.     This is not a game you play to push trough. This is a game to learn, to master, to enjoy and (most important) to slow down / think about the problems you have to face and use your toolbox for the solution. And still, it's the same great world than before, but now even bigger. You have the Map of Hyrule again with massive changes, like you maybe knew from World of Warcraft to Cataclysm once. But it's not only an enhanced game world. There is so many new areas in the sky or down below the earth. It's not even possible to imagine how many content this game delivers.

    Firstly, the graphics and overall presentation of the game were stunning. The world was even more immersive and detailed than before, with incredible attention to every little detail, from the intricate character designs to the breathtaking landscapes. The game's soundtrack was also top-notch, with a perfect mix of both new and familiar tracks that perfectly complemented the gameplay.

    Speaking of gameplay, the sequel introduced a range of new mechanics that added a new layer of depth and complexity to the overall experience. The combat system, in particular, was significantly improved, with new abilities and weapons that allowed for more strategic and varied gameplay.

    But what really set this sequel apart from the first game was the storytelling. The plot was even more engaging and emotionally charged than before, with well-written characters and unexpected plot twists that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire game.

    Overall, I can confidently say that this sequel is a masterpiece and a shining example of how to improve upon an already great game.     One of the greatest games of all time. People saying that Nintendo are just using the same map seem to forget the over 400 caves, sky islands, and depths which is a completely full sized 2nd map underneath Hyrule. The game takes everything about Breath of the Wild and expands on it 10 fold. Other developers wish they could make a game this size with no big game breaking bugs. A modern classic!

    perfect sequel, there too much thing added and changed but people still calling it a dlc. don't listen to them. they give 0 only because it costs 10 bucks more... (it's the right price, the graphics it's not everything but i would like to see it with just more anti aliasing)

    It’s literally a masterpiece. A 10/10. A must play. It took everything about botw and made it even better. A lot of the negative reviews are just botw babbling haters who whine about breakable weapons or the fact that it’s a direct sequel to botw so it has the same map.

A dear friend of mine (we’re still friends), had an OG 1980s Nintendo NES - yes, the one you’re thinking of. The first game I ever played was Super Mario Brothers (the original). At the time, the game absolutely grabbed me by the neck; it took hold of me; the sense was absolutely overwhelming.I’ve been playing video games since the late 1980s; at the time I was a very, very, small boy. I’d played other video games, and gone through life’s adventures on the way. Games like Mario Kart 64, Soul Caliber, Quake III (think I’m old yet?), Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (this game was special- it came very close), Wii games, Skyward Sword. Is this list complete? Not even close. I’ve lived through the golden age(s) of gaming.

    And then life meandered on. I learned guitar. Joined a few bands. I played sports. Got a bachelor’s; got a doctorate; moved up the corporate ladder. Got back in shape. Got married. Bought a house. Sold it. Bought another house. Life goes on.

    In other words, I got way too busy for gaming. But deep down, I missed it. Then one day, I saw a YouTube ad for Breath of the Wild. It just so happened that after all of this insanity, I had also developed a crippling case of clinical depression I was trying to deal with. It was pretty bad. BOTW gave me just a hint of that old feeling I had had many, many, years ago. And I simply had to try it! So I bought a used Switch on Ebay. And there it was! That old feeling from 30 years ago! Wow. My gaming life had returned after a 15+ year lapse. And I’m doing much, much, better. TOTK is a masterpiece. Are you kidding me? It’s an all time great just like BOTW. Some people just don’t appreciate beautiful art. Get it. BUY IT! Don’t listen to the mindless haters. A “zero” rating? Are you kidding me?

    This is a sequel where they really had a chance to iron out all the kinks, and give a crazier more dynamic experience. It's had me grinning and laughing hysterically at all of the possibilities the new powers provide. Just take the game at your own pace, and don't let anyone spoil your fun.

    Excellent game and will keep you entertained for huge ammounts of hours!. Excellent build, great graphics and the quest line is clear with lots of side quests to address. It worth the time to complete every single quest and you will find yourself immersed deeply in the world.

    This game takes everything that made BOTW great and doubles -and sometimes triples- down on it. And the things from BOTW that were weaker have been drastically improved. Whether it be combat, exploration, puzzles, or story, everything has been improved to some capacity.

    I love this game! I have spent 40 hours in TOTK and I have only completed the first temple.
    Things that are better than BOTW: Better load times, WAY bigger map(s), less stuttering (The 30fps are pretty consistent), much more options in combat and exploration due to the new abilities. More unique monsters and optional boss fights.

    Like his predececer, TotK is an amasing game. The freedom that Nintendo give to the player is just amasing, it's a very smart game and level design as it was for BotW.

    I was scare of the "reuse" of BotW map, but the changes that are done on it make it really fun to explore again, and the new areas are just amazing. The all crafting system is really efficient, I just love testing new    Like his predececer, TotK is an amasing game. The freedom that Nintendo give to the player is just amasing, it's a very smart game and level design as it was for BotW.

    The all crafting system is really efficient, I just love testing new creation and there are so much possibilities that I am pretty sure I will spend more houres on it that on BotW (wich was almost 300 houres).
    On graphic side it is very similar to what BotW offered. It's a bit old gen of course, we are on Switch, but it's working and the Art Direction make it beautiful.
    I didn't experienced any freez or major slowdown, I got the patch that was deployed day one to fixe theses issues.

    Can't wait to see more, this is the kind of game that need more than 100 houres playing to have an idea of the real potential of it.    … Expand

    Everything else though...an absolute masterpiece. The world is amazing, the story is mysterious and fun to uncover, the NPCs are always worth talking to, the combat    Tears of the Kingdom is as close to perfect as it can get.     I will admit I was unsure about this game for quite awhile. However, after some of the more recent trailers and getting hands on with the game, all my doubts have need eliminated. They took an already fantastic game and managed to make it better and bigger in almost every way. This game is absolutely phenomenal! A must play if you have a Switch in my opinion.

Unfortunately for you, it is a real Zelda game that exists and luckily for this game, I am a BOTW fan. WIth that said, this is the best game of all time.     -graficos de hace 2 generaciones -mismas animacion ( podria haber mejorado en esta segunda parte, juegos AAA con algunos de estas negativas suelen ser castigadas duramente por la prensa muchos mas si es una nueva IP, sin embargo a zelda se le perdona todo, es increible que este juego pueda competir con juegos AAA de alto    Juego con defectos, como -fps caida hasta 20 fps

    No se mide con la misma vara de medir cuando aparece zelda de nintendo.

    La evolución natural de Zelda breath of the wild ( uno de los mejores juegos de la historia) que deja en pañales a su predecesor. Tears of the kingdom es un glow up en todos los sentidos, gráfico, técnico, artístico, trama, mecánicas, e interacción con Hyrule. Es tal el grado de mejora que breath of the wild parece una beta a su lado.     I believe Zelda tok is a very good Game because it inovates the Zelda gerne even more.The Game fixed a Lot of Zelda botw's problems Like durability but the caves are sadly very empty and i didnt got the Same sense of Wonder when exploring the world.

    The ones saying that it’s just the same as BOTW, didn’t even go further than hyrule field. This is AMAZING! It is so vast and full of stuff to do, and it already has double the amount of BOTW’s story within the first 15 hours of the game! Go play it yourself!

    It is simply a masterpiece, proving that the graphics at 4k 120fps do not matter when compared to the gaming experience, even though the game is at 720p and 30fps it is very enjoyable, it has very good gameplay, very good story and simply a masterpiece.

    I find it interesting the people complaining about the this game probably never liked BOTW. But this game basically takes everything BOTW did and made it better. The new abilities are pretty amazing if not a bit silly some times but that’s good sometimes.

    Additionally the idea that this game is botw 1.5 is ridiculous. First of all its a sequel so it’s going to use existing characters.     This game is an amazing sequel to BOTW! I really dont get the people who are complaining about the reused world, it has completely changed!! And there are so many amazing surprises and places. Definitely recommend.

I've only been playing this game for 4 days at this point, and, in all honesty, it's become my all-time favorite game. Take BoTW, add amazing new physics and abilities, add an amazing story, and make it about 3 times larger. If that doesn't sound good to you, then just don't play it.     This game is an amazing sequel to 2017s GOTY (legend of zelda breath of the wild) and I believe this game should get GoTY this year as it is just all around epic from beginning to end it is perfect a true zelda game and a truly wonderful game in general

    Instant classic and totally subverted my expectations. I really liked Breath of the Wild but not as much as most. However, this literally addresses every single complaint I could've had about that game and adds on so much that I love.

There are so many more sidequests, shrines and koroks (if you're into that lol) to do in this game. Dungeons- although not the traditional Zelda dungeons everyone was hoping for... are a great experince to this open world game. Fuse, Ascend, and so many more abilites that Nintendo hasn't said publicly is in the game. I really recommend you buy the game... especially the FAKE reviewers, and enjoy it fully in and out!     The game takes botw and amplifies it by 100. It takes you to from the sky, to a different land, and the massive underground caverns. Combat feels fresh with new atatchments and zonai gadgets that can be fused to items. Creating vehicles is a fun way to get around, and there is much diversity in what you can do with the items to make these vehicles. W game

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. El juego es espactularmente perfecto, es una obra maestra en todos ámbitos y un juego muy disfutable en mecánicas, cinemáticas e historias.
    Uno pensaba que era imposible mejorar lo insuperable como Breath of the Wild, pero el hecho de continuar y mejorar la trama es simplemente espectacular.
    El juego tiene de todo lo que busques, tiene una historia y trama profunda y oscura en la que se basa el juego, pero el juego al ser no lineal puedes completarlo e ir lo desarrollando de distintas maneras para al final llegar al mismo final. Por no contar con una manera en específica de jugarlo el juego es inmenso no solo en posibilidades sino que también en la manera de vivir lo y de entenderlo.
    El juego no solo tiene un mapa gigante lleno de detalles hasta en el más mínimo árbol, si no que cuantas con otros 2 mapas, el de los cielos y de las islas celestes donde investigas los secretos de los Zonnan y el del subsuelo de donde vienen los monstruos y el villano de la historia.
    El juego tiene una dificultad relativamente alta pero al aprender como usar las habilidades y mecánicas del juego se pueden usar para afrontar la dificultad.
    El juego no se vuelve repetitivo debido a sus detalles, misiones secundarias y la búsqueda de items como todos los ropajes y la semillas kologs, pero que tu puedes ignorar si solo quieres enfocarte en la historia. Puedes irte chetando poco a poco para enfrentarte después de muchas horas a las mazmorras o puedes ir al empezar el juego y valerte de tus habilidades (y aprovecharte de bugs)

    El único punto endeble del juego es su calidad gráfica, que pese a ser de una consola de bajo rendimiento, el juego cuenta con muy buenos gráficos y una cantidad considerable de fps, pero en Nintedo Switch (en su mayoría modo portatil) también se pueden sufrir bajas de frames y a mi me pasaron algunos errores de renderizado.

    El juego es una obra maestra y no se siente para nada como un DLC del botw, tu lo puedes jugar sin conocer nada de Zelda o habiendo jugando todos los juegos y lo vas a disfrutar igual.
    En lo personal siento que el juego marca esta historia como una especie de reboot o nueva Li a temporal a la historia de Zelda así que no siento que sea tan necesario saber el lore, pero aún así recomiendo jugar primero Breath of The Wild y sus dlc, segundo Age of Calamity y por último Tears of The Kingdom.

    El juego es perfecto y sin duda lo puedo considerar como uno de los mejores juegos que he jugado en mi vida, y solo lo pondría después de minecraft porque tiene un valor sentimental en mi vida.

    It feels so good to be back in Hyrule! So much to explore and discover! While it doesn't evolve that much and building has been a bit exaggerated, the game is just so fun and addicting. BoTW story, gameplay, exploration, quest design is all here but has been so fine tuned and sharp. Can't put this game down and fully immersed in Hyrule once again!

You say the graphics are **** Artstyle > Graphics, also blame the console and not the game.

    Much better than BOTW, even though it already was a 10/10 game. Map is now bigger and better, fighting has more strategy thanks to fuse, the story is way more interesting and shrines have harder riddles.
