    Super Mario Odyssey is an open-world platforming game with many different kingdoms to explore. You meet up with Mario’s new friend Cappy who can help Mario pull off crazy jumps he couldn’t before, and he has the ability to allow Mario to possess enemies and use their abilities. Mario has never controlled so amazing before. If you die, it’s usually your fault. You travel the world collecting hundreds of Power Moons to power up the Odyssey and progress in your quest. The level design is magnificent. It features small kingdoms with lots of small structures and almost no platforming, medium kingdoms with a good balance of both, and huge kingdoms with more platforming sections underground and a massive world to explore. The Power Moons can require platforming, timed challenge, racing, advancing in the main story, wearing a specific costume, or even sitting in front of you for no reason. The game is pretty stable. You have to work for a glitch to even occur. A very small number of glitches are random and almost unnoticeable. The soundtrack makes you want to hum or sing along with it. Mario finally has a song in a video game with lyrics! Jump Up, Super Star! is a good song to listen to. The orchestrated themes for kingdoms in this game just take your breath away. The following are some of my favorites: Jump Up, Super Star!, Cascade Kingdom theme, Metro Kingdom theme, Mechawiggler theme, Jump Up, Super Star! (8-bit remix). This game has a ton of extra content. After the main story, there are hundreds of Power Moons left to collect throughout the 18 kingdoms in the game. There’s also a free online mode called Luigi’s Balloon World where you can hide balloons around the kingdom for other people to find them. You can earn coins and increase your rank as you hide or find balloons. There’s also a VR mode where you travel to different kingdoms to recruit musicians for Pauline. The story is pretty simple: Bowser kidnaps Peach to have a wedding with her while also kidnapping a floating tiara named Tiara. After Bowser hits Mario into the Cap Kingdom, he meets Tiara’s brother named Cappy. The two set off together to save Peach and Tiara from Bowser and his minions. They must travel the world collecting Power Moons as Bowser and his wedding planners, the Broodals, steal items for the wedding on the moon. After saving Peach and Tiara, they go on a world tour to the kingdoms they visited but of their own free will. Mario is the only playable character, but Cappy can be player 2. Mario can buy lots of costumes to wear in the game. With 55 hats and 55 suits, some of my favorites include: Super Mario 64 costume, Wedding outfit, 8-Bit Mario hat, Metal Mario outfit, Diddy Kong costume, and Samurai outfit. Almost every Power Moon in the game is fairly easy to collect, but some increase in difficulty if platforming is involved. When this game has Power Moons that are considered hard, they are really difficult to complete most of the time. The Darker Side of the moon is the hardest level in the entire game. Not the best difficulty for a 3D Mario, but Odyssey is something new. We need time to adjust to the gameplay and become pros. The bosses are all new and unique to the Super Mario franchise. After defeating each boss, the only way to refight them is to fight them on their harder versions. Each boss feels different to fight, and each boss is fun to fight. The graphics, in my opinion, are the best graphics on Nintendo Switch! The environments are colorful and detailed enough to look like Mario. New Donk City looks like a real life city put into Mario! Overall, this game is a must-buy if you have a Nintendo Switch. I’d rate this game a 10/10.… Expand

    Mario odyssey is a once in a lifetime game. a game you pick up, and don't put down. i would happily play this game 100 times over (though i do like trying other games too). unfortunately i lack the patience to get all 999 moons. though i wish i could

    Топовый платформер поколения. Отличная графика и геймплей, который постоянно меняется и подкидывает новые испытания. Луны все так и не собрал(

    Leider ist bei mit der Charme der Mario Spiele verflogen. Die Plattforming Passagen, die Story, die Sammel Orgien, irgendwie hat das alles vor 25 Jahren deutlich mehr Spaß gemacht. Mit dem Kauf einer Nintendo Konsole nach zig Jahren dachte ich, dass mir diese Spiele erneut sehr viel Spaß bringen.
    Aber bisher jedes Spiel welches die italienischen Brüder zierte brachte mir insgesamt keinen    Leider ist bei mit der Charme der Mario Spiele verflogen.     This game is excellent!!!! Only issue with the game is that it is way too easy for veterans of the franchise such as me but if you are new to Mario or Nintendo, this IS a MUST BUY.

    It's good, but it's not Galaxy-good. A bit too open world and not enough platforming for me, still a must-play though if you have a Switch but I'm not convinced I'll ever revisit it.

    Recuerdo que este juego me lo compre por un Youtuber llamado Zettassj, cuando por fin tuve la oportunidad de tener una Nintendo Switch fue de los primeros juegos que me compre y me quede enamorado del juego, incluso tiene zonas para jugar en Multijugador

    Super Mario Odyssey was the first game I played on the Nintendo Switch all the way back in 2018. It was my first Mainline Mario game in a long, long time and it did not disappoint. The movement and controls were complex yet fluid and intuitive; this was accompanied by great level and world designs with the Metro Kingdom being one of the most standout levels in the entire series! Truly,Super Mario Odyssey was the first game I played on the Nintendo Switch all the way back in 2018. It was my first Mainline Mario game in a long, long time and it did not disappoint. The movement and controls were complex yet fluid and intuitive; this was accompanied by great level and world designs with the Metro Kingdom being one of the most standout levels in the entire series! Truly, this game carried the spirit of past sandbox titles like 64 and Sunshine while also innovating new ideas with the Cappy-possession mechanic.

    This is my first take on a 3d Mario adventure and I must say that playing this game expanded my horizons in gaming. I enjoyed the gameplay a lot and by the time I finished it, I wanna challenge myself in getting all of the collectibles. After I finish this, I will consider playing the previous games of Mario with the same gameplay.

    My 2nd Journey on Switch and it's just "Mama Mia" All levels are well made and optimize which I love all of them, none of them were bad or least favorite to me.     Super Mario Odyssey is without any doubt the funniest game I have ever played and it reminded us what a game should be. Many know the iconic phrase that the president of Nintendo America Reggie Fils-Aime said in E3 2017 "... [the game] if it's not fun, why bother? ". Super Mario Odyssey builds its legacy on this phrase, as every single level from the start until the end is a joy.
    When I played the game for the first time, I felt so happy that I cannot remove the 2 meters wide grin I had on my face.
    Each single NPC, character or enemy can be controlled with your new friend Cappy, that let turns Mario into whichever he trows his hat into. Even object like trees can be controlled. Why would you want to become a tree? Because you can! Because its fun!
    Every level it's unique and lets the player choose how to approach it. For every platform challenge, there are at least two ways of dealing with it, making it extremely flexible and replayable. The only exception in what you can and cannot transform are the bosses (which in one case you can transform in it). Even with all the possibilityes you have, I think that Super Mario Odissey has just scratched the surface of it's capabilityes, has instead of keep using one mechanic for long, it immediatly hits you with a new one.
    The music are not to the usual Mario game standards, they are to a Super Mario 64 / Galaxy standard. Just magnificent piece of art.
    The art direction is possibly the best in any other Mario game, has you never have too much of a single color at screen, but with each level, the personality of the world changes, making you feel differently based on which level you are playing.
    There is so much potential that I cannot explain how much I'm begging a sequel to this incredible masterpiece, trully an incredible gaming experience that must be played at some point.

    One of the best 3d platforming games I've played coming from someone who only plays first person shooters, really fell in love since the second kingdom just seeing the freedom and moves I could do made me realize a new love for platforming games which I find hard to invest time into.

    Look, i am not gonna beat around the bush. This is an excellent Mario game for sure. Its polished, the Cappy mechanic is fanastic, the levels are super memorable and it also seems Myamoto can finally accept a little bit of a Story in a Mario game.
    I do find Power Moons to be unique and nice, but there are def far too many of them.

    I think this game turned me into a kid again.

    I love this game. It is easily the best Mario and maybe the best platformer of all time. This game is a masterpiece without rival.

    Excellent Game. Such beautiful platforming in a tight and pretty game. I do wish there was a mode between "assist" and normal mode, because i spend a lot of time listless.... not knowing what to do. Every bit as good as mario 64. Truly a great game.

    This game is great. If you own a switch then this is a must have. My only drawback for this game is that while Cappy allows for some really cool movement, the game rarely uses it as a mechanic. Once you know how to do some tricks with Cappy the platforming sections become way easier.

    Mi primer videojuego de Mario y me divertí mucho jugando, me encanta que cada mundo sea único con puzzles entretenidos y niveles de plataforma perfectos. La jugabilidad combinada con la nueva mecánica de Cappy es perfecta para el juego y espero que siga disponible para futuros juegos de Mario. La opción de poder cambiarle la ropa a Mario es buena, y cagada ver a Mario con diferentes trajes.

    Como un juego 3D de mario, mario odyssey cumple todas las expectativas y las supera con creces con la tematica de la gorra y los diferentes retos que puede mostrar, una gran historia y excelentes graficos. El gameplay es intuitivo tu puedes profundizarlos si te gusta el juego y sentir una mayor satisfacción al moverte. Y en general un gran juego principal de mario para la switch

    One of the best (if not the best) Mario games ever. It's crazy to see how big and popular Mario has become since Super Mario 64. The graphics in the games have improved quite substantially. Super Mario Odyssey has very good areas to explore, too. The developers did a good job on it, for sure.

    A "long time no see" sandbox Mario game. This Mario game has again showed the suprise of Mario: gameplay, music, and the technical aspect, I was blown by the 3D-2D transition in some stage. I was thinking how d they do that??!??

    Very nice overall. Good ideas, Puzzles and pretty visuals. It was fun but not challenging enough sometimes. 8/10 because the game in the end wasnt the best Ive had. Id recommend it.

    There are way too many moons, sure it helps with the exploration, but it just doesnt feel as special as something like the shines from sunshine, the shiveria kingdom is just underwhelming compared to the other ones and the story could have bent better, and the broodal boss fights are just too easy, and appear way too much.    … Expand

    I despise Mario games. I only played this because, and I am being absolutely serious here, the city area is the closest thing to GTA available on the switch. However, despite my hate for all things Mario, this game did surprise me, with beautiful areas, and a bit of engaging gameplay. Personally it was a slog most of the time, so many collectables, and so much challenging platforming. ButI despise Mario games.     Mario odyssey is a fun game which uses creative mechanic of Cappy. It’s really enjoyable as you collect moons to get on to the next stage, but this game is too short and it’s boring, hard and frustrating to collect all 999 moons.

    A very good reinvention of Super Mario. I hope there will be more of this. Difficulty is on a high level at some points though, and it annoys me that you not all Moons can be found from the start. Some will only appear after clearing the game og the world.

    This game is REALLY awesome. I don't see how people could give this absolute masterpiece a 0! Also, the soundtrack hits! I also really enjoyed the final boss! I currently have 722 power moons and I loved every bit of finding them!

    If you hate this game you are not human this game is really really fun with a stellar soundtrack and a charming (not original) story with so much content making this my second most played game ever and my favourite and by far the best game of all time and now I have a cappy hat irl from target 20 bucks 10 out of 10

The control of Mario and Cappy is so fluent and fun to play that I just couldn't stop myself from opening Odyssey and playing it. Nintendo is always good at making good music, and it just nailed every single one in Odyssey. The graphic is actually pretty good, and each level contains so many interesting challenges, moons,A masterpiece. Nintendo is just way too good to make platform games. The control of Mario and Cappy is so fluent and fun to play that I just couldn't stop myself from opening Odyssey and playing it. Nintendo is always good at making good music, and it just nailed every single one in Odyssey. The graphic is actually pretty good, and each level contains so many interesting challenges, moons, and collectives that give you freshness and happiness. If you get bored in this place, just take Odyssey and go to the next kingdom and you will see a new atmosphere and environment for you to discover. After you collect enough moons, you will unlock the challenging part of this game, which is perfect for people that are willing to challenge themselves. Luigi's ballon challenge is also very challenging depending on the ballon you choose. It can be enjoyed by beginners with easy mode, and it can be challenging as well. The level design, Jesus, is on a whole other level compared to others. And the game hit its climax at New donk Kingdom, and I just couldn't describe my emotion when "jump up, superstar " starts playing. 10 out of 10 for sure. If you have a Nintendo switch and you don't have this game, I would give you a thumbs down for sure haha.… Expand

    The levels are all so vibrant. The songs are amazing. The post game is really fin. I love the different outfits and the ending is great

    This game includes many good mechanics, but is not as good as it promised to be. Many moons that appear after you beat the game are very boring to get, and some easy. I think that Nintendo should have reduced the moons that appear after you complete the game.

    Also, the bosses are thrash and the Bowser battle is the worst in all Mario series (in my opinion).     Best 3D mario game to date, very fun and fluid movement that makes me pee my pants. My only criticism is that after beating the main story, the game gets quickly stale, and hunting for moons is a chore, and makes me aggressively poo my pants.

    ALSO THE PLANDEMIC AND THE MASKS LIKELY SUCKED OUT THE GAME DEVELOPERS BRAINS!

    Just wow. The whole game was incredible and the ending with the music was one of the greatest tributes to Mario. Truly a masterpiece of gaming.

    This game was AMAZING to play, truly one of Nintendo's best switch games. I think what there is great, with amazing graphics (for a switch game), really fun world design, great bosses, fun gimmicks, and just an all-around great time. My only issue is I don't think it has as much replicability once you beat the final bosses and darker side. With other games like Mario Maker 2 or Mario kartThis game was AMAZING to play, truly one of Nintendo's best switch games.     Ah, the wonderful expedition! Seriously though, this game is amazing, the landscapes, the residents, the ending is all amzing! Pick up this game if you haven't! Hell, pick up a switch just for this game! There's a reason it won navgtrs's goty! The nitpick i have about this game is how expensive some of the costumes are, but its just a cosmetic. I don't need it!

    This game is great. The gameplay is fun and engaging, and there are enough collectibles for you to keep coming back for a while. And the kingdoms are so creative! It is truly a one-of-a-kind Mario experience.

    Visuals are beautiful, soundtrack is elegant, and worlds are expertly designed. Nintendo has made it their life's goal to make sure every player get their own experience in discovering the game. It makes the player feel great, and they get rewarded for secrets the developer didn't even think to be possible.

Cada parte del juego esta llena de personalidad y es como sentirte como un niño pequeño explorar cada parte del mapa pero... Si hay demasiadas lunas, muchas y la verdadera dificultad viene en eln post-game

    While it was difficult to imagine how Nintendo could top previous 3D Mario adventures, Super Mario Odyssey is nigh-on perfect in almost every way. With the help of Cappy, Mario has never been as fun to control, reaching new heights and, in the hands of a skilled player, accomplishing impossible skips. You need only pick up a controller to see why this is the best modern Mario game ever.

    The best entry to the best platforming series is so ridiculously huge it’s like a theme park made of theme parks. It’s a wonderful tribute to Super Mario 64, but it’s not a lazy homage.
