    To be honest. I expected just a little more from this game. I’ll admit the art style is incredible, however that doesn’t cover this game’s flaws. The game reuses a whole lot of dialogue options and not to mention, it lacks any characters for you to care all that much about except the cat.

    It has great visuals and has a good cat character rig. It looks and sounds good, I just don't think it's very fun. With how simple the platforming and puzzles were, it felt like a walking sim, which I am not a fan of; so I found this game rather boring.

    The game is quite average, if not for the general obsession over cats, this game is a very basic plot driven platformer, almost without the participation of the player.
    The platforming mechanic is as basic and linear as it can be, with a dedicated button appearing over anything that you can interact with, including jumping or hiding (so basically no gameplay at all). The cat    Oh the hype!!
    The game is quite average, if not for the general obsession over cats, this game is a very basic plot driven platformer, almost without the participation of the player.
    The platforming mechanic is as basic and linear as it can be, with a dedicated button appearing over anything that you can interact with, including jumping or hiding (so basically no gameplay at all). The cat incarnation is nice, with all the nice stuff a cat usually does like purring, sleeping, wreaking havok by throwing cups or buckets of paint, miawing, etc...
    The main plot is shadowy, without any deep idea behind or any explanation of how the world works(were did the the monsters come from, what are those eyes..)
    If it wasn't marketed as the selling game for the new ps+, it would never gotten that much attention
    Anyways if you have a spare 3-4 hours, and absolutely nothing else to do, and no other game to play, give it a try
    The platinum is easy (you just need to complete it twice)

    Ok game, nothing too exciting. Nothing is particularly flashed out, story and gameplay are average. I got a platinum trophy, but that only reinforced shallowness of experience. Meditative games can be good like ex. Minecraft or Stardewvalley or Animal Crossing, but when it is the main and only appeal with no gameplay or story to support it we get Stray, which quickly becomes boring.

    It's not a 10, it's not even an 9, for a childs game it might be an 8, but if you're older than 16 I doubt you're gonna truly love this game. In terms of being a puzzle game, the only issue anyone might have with solving them is simply being too blind to find the missing piece.     At first, Stray was cute. I wondered what was around the next corner. But then, when the first puzzle was infront of me, i did not know what to do. i dont like the feeling when i am clueless. One cryptic puzzle is no big deal i thought. It is the little things that furiated me. time after time. where to go. i dont know. A futuristic DARK world with strange monsters who wants to kill me.At first, Stray was cute. I wondered what was around the next corner.     Stray is one of the most average games to come out in 2022. Stray is a linear adventure game where you play as a cat in a post human world. The game consists of you, the cat, trying to get to the surface to meet your cat friends by progressing through the game by solving a couple of basic puzzle platformer type puzzles. The puzzles aren't engaging and the world, while dominated by sentientStray is one of the most average games to come out in 2022. This game it is not about the cat it is mostly about the drone riding a cat and making it do stuff for it, also some part are ok but the part you have to deal with those Zurks ruin the game.. it gets to the point that gets so annoying that I stopped playing the game just because of that..some achievement are almost impossible get like the can't cat-ch me trophy and some are super boring like productive life..I expect more of this game..cute cat but that's it .… Expand

    Por suerte el juego salio "gratis" en el nuevo servicio de PlayStation Plus. Me pareció aburrido y con una historia muy poco interesante, repetitivo. Realmente no entendí todo el éxito que tuvo, cuando hay juegos mucho mejores.

Le seul bon point ce sont les souris robot qui donne un peu de contenu dans le game design mais bon au bout d'un moment c'est répétitif. Il y a un robot qui vous suit B12 si je me souviens bien, qui est là pour vous aider.
    En fin de compte j'ai l'impression que le jeu est fait pour les enfants. C'est pas un reproche mais c'est tellement simple et linéaire que ça leur convient très bien. D'ailleurs mon cadet y a joué et a aimé parce que très accessible pour lui. Et tant mieux d'avoir un jeu pour eux bien fini et de qualité graphique correct pour une fois.
    L'histoire elle n'a pas grand intérêt vu qu'elle est un peu inexistante et que le monde dans lequel nous avançons n'a que très peu d'explication.
    Le jeu se termine très très vite, en une soirée hop c'est fini.
    L'ambiance et le fait qu'on joue un chat dans un monde d'androïde est pas mal et original, mais je pense que d'ici quelques jours je l'aurai oublié malheureusement. Mais en fin de compte je retiens un manque d'aventure et de liberté, d'intrigue bien trop légère.
    Il y a des bugs de collision qui sont un peu énervant par moment.
    Pour résumé un jeu sympa, qui se fini très vite, avec une gameplay simple et des énigmes très simple, mais qui conviendra très bien aux enfants et tant mieux dans un sens.
    Je met donc cette note parce que c'est un jeu indé, mais si c'était un jeu plus ambitieux ou d'un studio avec de l'expérience et plusieurs jeux derrière eux, j'aurai pas mit la moyenne car bien trop simpliste, avec trop peu de contenu et qui se repose sur leur originalité de jouer un chat dans un monde d'androïdes.    … Expand

    5 puntos por qué se ve muy bien y como todos los juegos exclusivos el dualsense está muy bien manejando , pero es tremendamente aburrido me estaba quedado dormido ya parecen jugadores de xbox cómo está PSPlus y no cuesta ya lo ven bien, verdad que todo lo que no cuesta sabe mejor jajajaja

    I guess I’m the only one who didn’t like it. The physics are awful. The controls felt old and janky to me. The graphics weren’t that special. I never enjoyed playing it. I truly think this is the most overrated game of the year. I do love that it is free and bold new direction.

    Dont get me wrong this game very cute but the problem is that the game never really sticks to one mechanic and most of them feel really unpolished. especially the janky platforming. but if you like cats doing cat things then I think you will probably like like this game

    Beyond that, this game feels weirdly unfinished. A lack of animation for simple things like putting on a robe, walking up stairs, and rounding corners (and other weird cat bugs) had me scratching my head. I also thought it was odd how many people (robots) were willing to lay down their lives for a stray cat.
    5/10, pretty middle of the road game for me. When the dust settles and people start seeing this game for what it really is, I have a feeling a lot of people will agree.    … Expand

    A huge flaw with the game is that there are creatures that attack the cat and kill it. This is very shocking to sensitive girls! My 26 years old girl friend started crying and the evening was ruined.

    There should be a warning and a safe mode for a relaxed play without fear that anything would happen to the cat. The game is beautiful and plays well. It's just ruined by this one flaw!

    And I wanted to just comment- I've noticed so far- the behavior of the cats are amazing. And mostly I noticed when he hissed at the first level that he did a little mouth lick. My cats have always done that and I wondered why ...and this game actually
    Put it in there!! I am hooked now. I want to see what else this little guy does. And yes    I Just downloaded the game (yes I'm a late gamer )

    Safe to say there is no gameplay in this game;
    Closer to a visual novel than a platform game or an adventure game.
    There aren't many good mechanics in this game.
    I felt all the time that it was quite clear where to go at each stage and it was too easy, predictable and mostly boring.
    The plot started nice; It was intriguing to follow the poor cat and see how we manage to get along in a cold and intriguing world like they built there.
    Unfortunately the plot became boring, the wisdom of the game has been played artfully in the world many times, and I was not shocked or surprised by anything. The NPC'S just send you on boring missions and fail to convey the message of the interesting world they have built.    … Expand

It is ridiculously short. I beat the game in under 5 hours. Are you freaking kidding me? This game would have been better off as an open-world game, but the developers were too cheap and lazy for that.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought this was supposed to be a cat game. Where is the combat? Last time that I checked, cats are predators. All you do in this game is run away from enemies. Yeah I get it, cats are scary cats. They also like to attack smaller animals. The developers should have added robotic birds and rats as hostile enemies for the cat to attack. They could have also made that B-12 robot thing point a laser towards enemies so the cat could get the courage to attack those stupid little monsters. That B-12 could have made for a decent multiplayer component, but the developers were too greedy and lazy for that. The game feels like a walking simulator with the lack of combat. Speaking of walking simulators, the platforming sections are lazily designed. All you do is press a button and the game does the jumping for you, all because these pretentious developers want to be arty farty for the sake of being arty farty. How hard is it to just let me do the platforming myself? The cat magically clips through the handle of the bucket.

    There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the story, there is literally not a reason to play this game again. But this game is not a cash grab, as it is only $30 and a PS Plus Extra/Premium game. Well that's something that the developers got right and I appreciate that. If you're giving me half the game, it better be half the price or in a subscription service. In my case, I have it on Premium. This does not however excuse the game being too short or lacking in content. Why can't these lazy developers add an arena mode or something for replayability. There better be an update that adds more replay value, or I am deleting this trash. If you have Premium or Extra, then I guess it's worth trying out. If not then I only recommend this game until it is $15 or just wait until it is free on PS Plus essential.    … Expand

    I'm stunned at how many drones are worshipping this game.

    One of the most disappointing games I've ever experienced. I remember the old Reddit post showing off this games pre-alpha mechanics, and to be honest, the game is just a prettier version of that. There's nothing whatsoever to this game once the cute factor has worn off, and the story did not make me want to finish its even miniscule run time.

    The earlier chapters of the game were brilliant, but as the story progressed and more was happening on screen, the amount of lag I encountered made some puzzles far more frustrating than necessary. The game outright crashed on me twice during stealth sections, and I often encountered floating clothes rather than entire bodies of npcs that were rendered none-interactable.
    The ending of the game also felt a little lacking after what had been built up leading to this - the story was well presented which is why the ending felt a little flat comparitively, as I had hoped for an epilogue of sorts.
    Ultimately, I've rated this game based on the ideas and what worked well for me - I was still intrigued despite the difficulties I encountered, and had I not suffered with so many issues, would have definitely rated higher and look forward to seeing future projects from this team.    … Expand

    Way overhyped walking simulator. Visual were nice but the "puzzles" were not great. The action was basically nonexistent, all it took was a simple zig zag to avoid almost everything and the story was lackluster, considering the build up I was expecting more.     I don´t get the hype at all with this game, the only appeal is that you`re a cat... and that´s it.
    gameplay-wise it feels very old, the parkour is scripted leaving you 0 room to explore or actually feel like a agile feline, the puzzles aren´t very interesting and the story it´s just okay I guess, cute concept but it´s probably the most overrated game I´ve seen

    Juego linear hasta llegar a ser aburrido. un juego sin más. No tiene dificultad alguna ni reto. La única premisa del juego es que manejas a un gato. Creo que las puntuaciones están siendo extremadamente generosas.

А ещё можно отметить уродское местоположение автоматов и воспоминаний.
    Сюжет: Абсолютно шаблонный сюжет, который можно предугадать на изи - его даже преподносят неинтересно.
    Музыка: Немного приятных саундтреков, которые не перестают надоедать (Если вы заспидраните игру только на основной линии менее чем за 4 часа)
    Графика: В общем неплохо. Но текстуры сильно сжатые (игра 6 гб весит тем не менее)

    Release an undercooked mediocre, unoriginal, BORING game, get blasted by the critics. ADD CAT : have cat nuts from all over the world cry genius and rate 10. Anaprurna are manipulative scammer clowns, adding the cat was clearly a last minute idea to try to save a dirt cheap IP. And thanks to people's idiocy and gullibitty : it totally worked.

    Desastre de juego, te vendían una cosa en los trailer y lo que te encuentras es un desastre. Juego corto, muy lineal, el que creías por los trailer que era el protagonista, no lo es. Además, de tener importante caídas de frames y bug puntuales. La única gracia es el gato y ni eso salva a este juego. Una pena lo que pudo ser y a acabado siendo.

    A short game that's not worth the money (especially in Brazil), you play for a few hours, finish the game... and nothing makes you want to come back and play more. The cat is cute and that's why everyone cheers, the story is minimally interesting (not memorable or epic) and what it stands out is the visual, but it doesn't bring anything new or interesting to the genre.

    It is the typical game that tries to be good at everything and in the end it is not good at anything, I admit that it has good moments especially when we use stealth, but the truth is that it does not stand out and I get bored very easily, if you are not a cat lover like me, the truth is that there are many better game options out there that can offer you a better experience.

    What happens is you're chased by a horde of enemies that jump around all over the place, and to get the trophy you can't be grabbed by one of them even once. The sequence is way too long, and whether you're grabbed or not is based entirely on    For a completionist such as myself, the "Can't Cat-ch Me" trophy ruined the entire experience and made this game go from decent to utter garbage.

    Tengo que ser honesto con este juego, entiendo que hay muchas personas a los que les encantan los gatos y se la pasan diciendo "michi que bonito michi". Pero si este juego no tuviera como tal esa skin del gato tierno, verían la verdadera esencia de Stray, un juego bastante mediocre que no dura más de 4 horas.

    Loved this game. Lots of emotion and great atmosphere. Not too long. Only negative thing I can say is that you cant return to the different parts of the city to complete side missions and gather all memories. You sort of can, but then you would have to restart the chapter.

    There is nothing in the game, it is an empty shell, which people like because there is a cat, it's just degradation.
    The game is given too much attention, it is empty, except for the corridors and the cat there is absolutely nothing in it.

    If you are allergic to cats, hate mystery, exploration and a good atmosphere in video games, don’t play Stray. Otherwise, you’ve probably already beaten it. It’s a rare occasion to get a title such as this. And if it looks like something you might enjoy, that’s likely because you most surely would.

    Stray makes the most of its choice of protagonist early on, really allowing you to do all the things a typical cat would do, though it eventually loses sight of that in favour of spotlighting the short story. That’s no cause for hissing, though it does leave the overall experience feeling somewhat like two kittens from different litters forced together. The combination works better than it should, but we’re ultimately left wondering what could’ve resulted if either half of the game had been given enough space to stand alone. [Issue#18, p.70]

    It sounds ridiculous. And maybe it is. But the first ten minutes of Stray broke our heart. We’re a soft-boiled egg when it comes to animals, even when they're completely fictional. A cat who loses his friends and then gets hurt? Enough for an intense feeling of sadness and pity. It is not the challenge, but the experience that is key in this game. You really play Stray for the atmosphere. And that's exactly right.
