    One of the most disappointing games I've ever experienced. I remember the old Reddit post showing off this games pre-alpha mechanics, and to be honest, the game is just a prettier version of that. There's nothing whatsoever to this game once the cute factor has worn off, and the story did not make me want to finish its even miniscule run time.

    Release an undercooked mediocre, unoriginal, BORING game, get blasted by the critics. ADD CAT : have cat nuts from all over the world cry genius and rate 10. Anaprurna are manipulative scammer clowns, adding the cat was clearly a last minute idea to try to save a dirt cheap IP. And thanks to people's idiocy and gullibitty : it totally worked.

    Sure, tastes differ and that is totally fine, but if you are looking for creative gameplay variations, deep story than you need won't be satisfied with Stray.
    It is a pimped up cat simulator for kids. The visuals however are cute and there are the "awww" moments when you realise what kind of "typical cat    Unfortunately this game was way too hyped and therefore is getting to much praise.

    For a completionist such as myself, the "Can't Cat-ch Me" trophy ruined the entire experience and made this game go from decent to utter garbage.
    What happens is you're chased by a horde of enemies that jump around all over the place, and to get the trophy you can't be grabbed by one of them even once. The sequence is way too long, and whether you're grabbed or not is based entirely on RNG, meaning it literally boils down to a matter of luck rather than skill if you make it through. It's frustrating beyond words and a prime example of awful game design.

    As endearing as the game is, I encountered numerous issues that greatly impacted my experience.
    The earlier chapters of the game were brilliant, but as the story progressed and more was happening on screen, the amount of lag I encountered made some puzzles far more frustrating than necessary. The frame rate regularly dropped (PS5) meaning I was launching myself into enemies rather than    As endearing as the game is, I encountered numerous issues that greatly impacted my experience.

The game outright crashed on me twice during stealth sections, and I often encountered floating clothes rather than entire bodies of npcs that were rendered none-interactable.
    The ending of the game also felt a little lacking after what had been built up leading to this - the story was well presented which is why the ending felt a little flat comparitively, as I had hoped for an epilogue of sorts.
    Ultimately, I've rated this game based on the ideas and what worked well for me - I was still intrigued despite the difficulties I encountered, and had I not suffered with so many issues, would have definitely rated higher and look forward to seeing future projects from this team.    … Expand

    A terribly boring and not interesting game. At first everything is ok, but then the game becomes predictable.
    She can be divided literally into 3 segments that are very similar to each other.

    Cool setting,,,pretty goof graphics and interesting playing as a cat...for about 30 minutes (I made it through the first three hours)

    After that...it's really just a generic adventure game where you run around doing stuff for npcs.     While playing game, you're just walking with cat. There are not more! Apart from this, graphics are not that bad. Bad in Twitter, people comparing this trash with masterpiece like RDR2. Boring game. Do not waste your time. If you have extra free time, then you can play it. :)

    this is just terrible man. the moment the game starts being really fun it ends and I'm left with nothing. this should have been at least 10h long and I would have asked for refund it it wasn't for ps+

    Un juego bastante corto, con tan solo 3 horas de duración que adorna su carente jugabilidad y mediocre desempeño, con el atractivo visual y la obvia estrategia de utilizar un gato como protagonista para llamar la atención.
    Solo otra moda pasajera del momento.

    A short game that's not worth the money (especially in Brazil), you play for a few hours, finish the game... and nothing makes you want to come back and play more. The cat is cute and that's why everyone cheers, the story is minimally interesting (not memorable or epic) and what it stands out is the visual, but it doesn't bring anything new or interesting to the genre.

You can scratch and interact with objects via a dialog prompt and some San Andreas style button mashing but the ability to p*ss all over stuff was notably left out.     Loved this game. Lots of emotion and great atmosphere. Not too long. Only negative thing I can say is that you cant return to the different parts of the city to complete side missions and gather all memories. You sort of can, but then you would have to restart the chapter.

    Overhyped cat walking simulator wrapped in an authentically pleasing packaging.
    I'm stunned at how many drones are worshipping this game.
    It's not bad, but it's also not really a game.

    This game has really good visuals and animations for a $30 game. There was some decent level design with this game. I did enjoy the amount of things I could interact with, even if the physics are a joke. It is ridiculously short. I beat the game in under 5 hours. Are you freaking kidding me? This game would have been better off as an open-world game, but the developers were too cheap and lazy for that.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought this was supposed to be a cat game. Where is the combat? Last time that I checked, cats are predators. All you do in this game is run away from enemies. Yeah I get it, cats are scary cats. They also like to attack smaller animals. The developers should have added robotic birds and rats as hostile enemies for the cat to attack. They could have also made that B-12 robot thing point a laser towards enemies so the cat could get the courage to attack those stupid little monsters. That B-12 could have made for a decent multiplayer component, but the developers were too greedy and lazy for that. The game feels like a walking simulator with the lack of combat. Speaking of walking simulators, the platforming sections are lazily designed. All you do is press a button and the game does the jumping for you, all because these pretentious developers want to be arty farty for the sake of being arty farty. How hard is it to just let me do the platforming myself? The cat magically clips through the handle of the bucket.

    There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the story, there is literally not a reason to play this game again. But this game is not a cash grab, as it is only $30 and a PS Plus Extra/Premium game. Well that's something that the developers got right and I appreciate that. If you're giving me half the game, it better be half the price or in a subscription service. In my case, I have it on Premium. This does not however excuse the game being too short or lacking in content. Why can't these lazy developers add an arena mode or something for replayability. There better be an update that adds more replay value, or I am deleting this trash. If you have Premium or Extra, then I guess it's worth trying out. If not then I only recommend this game until it is $15 or just wait until it is free on PS Plus essential.    … Expand

    Short but sweet. I was more invested into the game in 5 hours than most games get me in 20+ hours. Great story, great characters, great gameplay, great graphics.

    game is way too short for the price and there is no gameplay the only gameplay is you scratching walls and holding the jump button, many people use excuses to defend making such lazy games for insane prices,
    just because the protagonist is a cat does not make a game good

    It is the typical game that tries to be good at everything and in the end it is not good at anything, I admit that it has good moments especially when we use stealth, but the truth is that it does not stand out and I get bored very easily, if you are not a cat lover like me, the truth is that there are many better game options out there that can offer you a better experience.

    Tengo que ser honesto con este juego, entiendo que hay muchas personas a los que les encantan los gatos y se la pasan diciendo "michi que bonito michi". Pero si este juego no tuviera como tal esa skin del gato tierno, verían la verdadera esencia de Stray, un juego bastante mediocre que no dura más de 4 horas.

    It's Annapurna Interactive. Phony, irredeemable, boring, unengaging, indy crap. They think they are the A24 of gaming and it's incredibly annoying to have to share space with these people at gaming events.

    Juego linear hasta llegar a ser aburrido. un juego sin más. No tiene dificultad alguna ni reto. La única premisa del juego es que manejas a un gato. Creo que las puntuaciones están siendo extremadamente generosas.

    Desastre de juego, te vendían una cosa en los trailer y lo que te encuentras es un desastre. Juego corto, muy lineal, el que creías por los trailer que era el protagonista, no lo es. Además, de tener importante caídas de frames y bug puntuales. La única gracia es el gato y ni eso salva a este juego. Una pena lo que pudo ser y a acabado siendo.

    The developers of this game HATE trophy hunters and love some RNG and frustration causing mechanics. The only trophy i can not get is CATCH ME and the hundreds of times i tried and failed took all the fun out of this game.     Dire noioso è dire poco. Lo avrei apprezzato a 5/6 anni perché non è challenging, è semplice andare avanti, anche un po banale. Storia fritta è rifritta sui valori sociali etc etc. Bbooring Non è pessimo ma la mancanza di sfide di gioco lo rende noioso già dopo mezz'ora. Non lo continuerò...

Он не развивается на протяжении всей игры - тебе даётся только несколько однообразных погонь. Даже с нпс никак не взаимодействуешь - Одна фраза на каждого, и то все несут однообразную фигню то про аутсайд, то про правительство. А ещё можно отметить уродское местоположение автоматов и воспоминаний.
    Сюжет: Абсолютно шаблонный сюжет, который можно предугадать на изи - его даже преподносят неинтересно.
    Музыка: Немного приятных саундтреков, которые не перестают надоедать (Если вы заспидраните игру только на основной линии менее чем за 4 часа)
    Графика: В общем неплохо. Но текстуры сильно сжатые (игра 6 гб весит тем не менее)
    Итог: Перехайпленная игра - если бы в ней не было кота, то он даже 5 баллов бы не получил.    … Expand

    Such games getting really popular after release, grows massive fandom, then BOOM. This game is like never existed.

    Anyways, Stray. Extremely boring gameplay for $30. That's all.

The action was basically nonexistent, all it took was a simple zig zag to avoid almost everything and the story was lackluster, considering the build up I was expecting more. I really don't understand those that are putting this in game of the year territory with the likes of Elden Ring and God of WarWay overhyped walking simulator.     E i puzzle? Ragazzi, chiunque vi abbia detto che ci sono i puzzle evidentemente è così scemo da considerare un puzzle l'uscire il latte dal frigo la mattina, probabilmente si sente un grande investigatore quando scopre cosa ha macchiato la sua canottiera o il divano, perché il livello dei puzzle quello è, non esistono, devi solo ricordarti i personaggi e interagire con le uniche ovvie cose con cui puoi interagire.

    This game would have been good if it was called Hound and was about a dog instead of a cat. Everyone knows that dogs are better than cats, we saw them win in Dogs Vs Cats 3: Civil War. Stupid cats. I hate cats, except Garfield, he is cool

    I don´t get the hype at all with this game, the only appeal is that you`re a cat... and that´s it.
    gameplay-wise it feels very old, the parkour is scripted leaving you 0 room to explore or actually feel like a agile feline, the puzzles aren´t very interesting and the story it´s just okay I guess, cute concept but it´s probably the most overrated game I´ve seen

    How this game has gotten so much creds is really weird to me. Yes it looks amazing, but is extremley boring and slow. And you just walk around. You cant jump, only if the controller tells you to. So you just walk around. Regret spending money on this stupid game.

    Safe to say there is no gameplay in this game;
    Closer to a visual novel than a platform game or an adventure game.
    There aren't many good mechanics in this game.
    I felt all the time that it was quite clear where to go at each stage and it was too easy, predictable and mostly boring.
    The plot started nice; It was intriguing to follow the poor cat and see how we manage to get along in a cold and intriguing world like they built there.
    Unfortunately the plot became boring, the wisdom of the game has been played artfully in the world many times, and I was not shocked or surprised by anything. The NPC'S just send you on boring missions and fail to convey the message of the interesting world they have built.    … Expand

    The chase sequences are so lazy, it's lazy game design and there is no smart way to pass these sequences except running like an idiot. There is zero counter counter play to the enemies.

    The gameplay is the worst thing i have ever seen because it is just a walking simulator in some linear levels with rigid controls, in some moments of the game you will encounter some disappointing enemys that die almost instantly, that are slow and that deal almost no damage, in some other parts there will be some stealth parts that are colmpletely useless because you can just run away from the enemys even if they see you because they are the slower than a snail and their aim is awful.

    The History is mediocre and you will not get any explaination for a lot of things that happens in the game.

    The game is also short and full of bugs that can softlock you sometimes and you will need to restart a lot of times from the ceckpoint due to bugs.

    The controls are limited and ugly ( you can only jump or move in specific places and not everywere) .

    The world is closed, incredibly linear to the level that you can only move in specific places where you are intended to go.

    The characters are not very well explained because you will stay only a few minutes with them, the only thing that made this crap so popular is the main character that is a cat that is literally useless because its only function is to carry the true main character that is the mini bot of the trailer, this because the only thing done by the cat is to speak with it and another problem with the cat is that it can talk and act like a **** human, so why in the hell is the main character a cat and not an human !?

    the only positive thing of this game is the ambientation that is very good but that is not enough to make a good game.

    In conclusion this game is a complete disaster and the only people who can enjoy it are no brain people that see a cat and think that it is cute while it is just a choice of marketing to make money with a trash game.    … Expand

    If you are allergic to cats, hate mystery, exploration and a good atmosphere in video games, don’t play Stray. Otherwise, you’ve probably already beaten it. It’s a rare occasion to get a title such as this. And if it looks like something you might enjoy, that’s likely because you most surely would.

    Stray makes the most of its choice of protagonist early on, really allowing you to do all the things a typical cat would do, though it eventually loses sight of that in favour of spotlighting the short story. That’s no cause for hissing, though it does leave the overall experience feeling somewhat like two kittens from different litters forced together. The combination works better than it should, but we’re ultimately left wondering what could’ve resulted if either half of the game had been given enough space to stand alone. [Issue#18, p.70]

    It sounds ridiculous. And maybe it is. But the first ten minutes of Stray broke our heart. We’re a soft-boiled egg when it comes to animals, even when they're completely fictional. A cat who loses his friends and then gets hurt? Enough for an intense feeling of sadness and pity. It is not the challenge, but the experience that is key in this game. You really play Stray for the atmosphere. And that's exactly right.
