    Despite performance issues, the game manages to amaze in quite a few areas due to its enormous size, groundbreaking world, empowering gameplay, and massive ambition which is so refreshing to see from this kind of game nowadays. This developer was willing to take risks and push themselves as far as possible to achieve their dreams. Though not all risks paid off, as some of their dreamsDespite performance issues, the game manages to amaze in quite a few areas due to its enormous size, groundbreaking world, empowering gameplay, and massive ambition which is so refreshing to see from this kind of game nowadays. This developer was willing to take risks and push themselves as far as possible to achieve their dreams. Though not all risks paid off, as some of their dreams obviously included making a Star Wars movie and placing that as a higher priority than the game.

    Here's why. The otherwise exhilarating story is held back by cutscenes presented in letterbox format - an outdated, totally unnecessary Hollywood convention that creators still can't let go of, which is extremely disappointing in this case given how much there is to see and feel throughout the story, which is literally being choked, not quite to death, but to the point of never being allowed to fully breathe, while also being in constant pain throughout the 16 hours it took me to finish, and that's playing on the easiest difficulty and ignoring everything except the story. I didn't expect to be so put off by two simple black bars, but this is how Respawn has decided to make the game, and for that reason, I'm not in a huge rush to keep playing or to play it again.    … Expand

    I feel for anyone who had issues with launch, but I have no idea what people are griping about beyond that. They put a lot of TLC into this, and every detail feels inspired. Tone and world building is KOTR inspired

    Gameplay: > Combat is god of war spinoff (that is not a bad thing) > Exploration is Metroid prime-ish > Platforming is some of the most creative & best implemented out there —    I feel for anyone who had issues with launch, but I have no idea what people are griping about beyond that.     While the game looks good and fun to play, there are several flaws to address that can't be omitted.
    It's very fast paced, encouraging the player to move forward and advance rapidly; However, at many times you can get lost due to poor design and the holomap doesn't help that much.
    Gameplay is very linear and repetitive, it's always the same premise : You land in a planet, given a task    While the game looks good and fun to play, there are several flaws to address that can't be omitted.

    Gameplay is very linear and repetitive, it's always the same premise : You land in a planet, given a task to complete: go to point A, where you'll have parkour, then fights, then parkour, then fight, then parkour and finally, usually an end level Boss fight.
    Puzzles are pointless and boring, almost feel like a waste of space and time.

    Graphics look nice, however one'd have expected a little better since now the crossgen period is over, being released only for next gen consoles.    … Expand

    Look, I’ll give it a 10 to offset the zeros, solid game, even after a few patches, the textures and performance is still janky. Playable though, and fine, I can understand people’s gripes though. We must stop preordering and purchasing undercooked games. How else can we communicate to not the developers but the publishers ?

    Update - after playing the game way more on the second most difficult, this game is incredible. Reminds me of old console days where frame rate didn’t matter and it was all about good games.
    In saying that, the frame rate seems to improve as you make progress in the game, even in open areas. The resolution and textures are still bad on the micro but when you’re playing the game and switch off the fine detail critical eye, it does look pretty amazing.
    In saying ‘that’, gameplay and story are absolutely incredible. I hope this developer signs an exclusivity deal with Sony moving forward as this was their last game under their current contract. Wth Sony they’d be given the time and space to finish the game before it’s released and finish the series with a game the series and developers deserve. A true masterpiece, which is what the first 2 nearly are !!!    … Expand

    I initially gave this game a 0, because of the horrible performance. Now 5 months later, it's fixed! Now the game runs with 60fps and no stutters.
    The game is really good, now the performance have been fixed I have nothing bad to say about it

    Respawn Entertainment managed to create the equivalent arkham City sequel from their Fallen Order. Like the best of Star Wars it shines with western elements in it’s story while improving in it’s gameplay. The only thing lacking is a bit more of polish in it’s combat mechanics.

    We waited a long time for the second part and the third part will finish the trilogy, hopefully soon. The game itself is awesome, but the tech aspect makes new consoles look old already 900p PS5 really! but it was coming with $500 hardware simply can't keep up with new games. I guess we must agree on much more power to the consoles cause Im ready to give $1000 for the console and beyond,We waited a long time for the second part and the third part will finish the trilogy, hopefully soon.     There is an amazing game hidden underneath a gigantic pile of bugs and performance issues. I'd recommend checking back in about a year before buying it, or you will not have the intended experience.

    Edit: Patch 6 came out after a month of radio silence, and it only seems to have made things worse. Lowering the rating to reflect that. Please don't buy the game until at least 2024.

I bought a hard disk copy of wild hearts traded it back to game stop the same week lost half my money then made the mistake of trusting an EA game once again pre ordering survivor getting a digital piece of garbage that I’m stuck with. Now I’m still really frustrated that a game that has icy meaning to so many and tons of memories spanning 40 years has had so many issues. I’m going to up my rating to a six.     I was pleasantly surprised by this game, much like the first one. The combat is enjoyable, the characters have charisma, and the graphics are stunning. While there are some frustrating performance issues, I believe they can be fixed with a few patches.

    Para quem é fã de Star Wars provavelmente tem-se o melhor jogo já feito do universo criado por George Lucas, para além disso também é um grande jogo de ação/aventura. O jogo tem alguns problemas de performance, porém no PS5 não é nada que atrapalhe a experiência, provavelmente os novos patchs corrigirão rapidamente os problemas. Bons gráficos também.

It is rock solid in its quality mode. Respawn outdid themselves in building upon the solid foundation from Jedi: Fallen Order, and while the story doesn't end with the legendary high of its predecessor, the more lowkey natureOne of the greatest Star Wars games ever made. While the frame rate problems are noticeable in its performance mode, it's still a very playable, very fun experience. It is rock solid in its quality mode. Respawn outdid themselves in building upon the solid foundation from Jedi: Fallen Order, and while the story doesn't end with the legendary high of its predecessor, the more lowkey nature of the ending still hits in an understated, somber way which leaves an interesting, tantalizing future for a potentially final third game. The middle section of the game includes a sequence that will stand tall as one of the greatest gaming moments of 2023.… Expand

Not gonna lie, I didn’t run into a major amount of bugs and my game only crashed once but others are experiencing game breaking bugs which need to be addressed. Other than that, story is magnificent, especially in the final act. Twists you’d never expect come flying at you, and the game takes an overall darker approach.Honestly, I would give it a 10 but I give it an 7 due to the bugs. Not gonna lie, I didn’t run into a major amount of bugs and my game only crashed once but others are experiencing game breaking bugs which need to be addressed. Other than that, story is magnificent, especially in the final act. Twists you’d never expect come flying at you, and the game takes an overall darker approach. Gameplay is mostly the same as fallen order, except they took everything and took it up a notch, Kind of like what god of war ragnorak did. Soundtrack is superb and the planets feel more alive than what they did in the previous game (Kashyyyk being an exception). I highly recommend this game to anyone, after the bugs are fixed of course. When fixed, I can garuntee this will be by far one of the best Star Wars games out there.… Expand

The day came to play my most anticipated game of 2023 and didn't understand what was happening as my eyes feasted on a low/choppy frame rate, awful mechanical and glitchy game.Unbelievable! I was stoked to play this game being the super fan of finally having a good starwars game like its predecessor and pre-ordered it the moment I was able to, going as far as to buy the deluxe edition. The day came to play my most anticipated game of 2023 and didn't understand what was happening as my eyes feasted on a low/choppy frame rate, awful mechanical and glitchy game. The story/writing is at least an 8/10, but I can't give the game as a whole anything more than a 3/10 from how frustrating it is to buy a brand new game and the mechanics ruin the whole experience. If there's another Starwars game, even WITH Cal, I'm going to hold my money until after the release so that I'm not screwed out of an experience like this. Terrible transitions from gameplay to cut scene. After games like GOW and Spiderman who've done it seamlessly, this game shouldn't have had an issue. Rumor system was poorly executed.     The gameplay is more of the same as its previous iteration with some advancement on the gameplay, basically expect more of the same. If you haven’t played Jedi fallen order, think of it more of the combat with a simple combo system with dodging/parrying.
    If you didn’t like fallen order gameplay you are not going to like this gameplay as well. No    Let’s Start off with gameplay – 2.0

    No checkpoint for story bosses
    The game added two new stances into the game and like all other stances they each have a purpose, one is more ranged focused and one is more damaged focused.
    Difficulty in this game can be pretty challenging, and by challenging I mean unfair as hell especially on the harder difficulty. there are some enemies that can one shot you at full health with all upgrades such as the mobu and rancor.
    The game feels more of a dodge/parry fest especially on higher difficulty and same with normal, its something you need to get used.
    In two cases, be careful when fighting story bosses with multiple phases and by the way theirs no checkpoints between the phases at all.
    The collectible grind is really really really bad. they have overpopulated just like a classic open world game with collectibles that don’t make sense unlike echoes and lore dumps.
    Only Echoes and lore are important for lore reasons.
    Stances are unlocked automatically via story progression.
    Customization is a strong suite in this game to the point where its really fun but you need to collectible grind the heck out of the game to even find the piece you want, I just believe its just not worth the hassle for the average consumer.

    Story 2.0
    The story with this game feels like a solid entry, nothing game of the decade worthy but a pretty solid entry that you will enjoy.
    There are amazing moments in the game but I don’t want to spoil anything.
    I would say I enjoyed fallen order better story wise because it was a new adventure vs this game.
    The side quests were more of a fetch this person to unlock x and bring them here not that many in totality.
    Bounty Hunter Side Quest Was/Is a good part of the game.
    There is a time jump between fallen order and jedi survivor in which they released a book on some stuff that has happened like how someone suffered that injury. I would’ve liked to have some sort of lore in the game to explain that in some shape or form. It just makes you feel lost on what happened.

    Music 2.0
    The Background music fit really well in the overall totality of the game. It didn’t feel grating and it just fit.
    The special scene music sections felt okay and good but nothing memorable as far as I can recall that just sticks out, which sucks honestly.
    The audio balance issues in this game from the start are an issue. I had to lower the actual music and sfx to a very low level to actually hear the dialogue. Dialogue should always take precedence and lower other type of music.
    Dialogue should take precedence then Sound effect music then music.

    Performance 0.5 – only because its playable
    The performance of this game is very atrocious, the only reason this stayed on the digital store fronts is because it was/is barely playable with minimal crashes (I Had three of them in which one set me back collectible griding about an hour).
    This game is cyberpunk 2077 launch condition level of bad. 30 fps(frames per second) felt like I was watching someone doing their PowerPoint presentation and 60 frames per second felt like I was scrolling through my photos on windows.
    Ray tracing is being forced on consoles for some reason which is causing the frame rate to take a massive dump.
    The game doesn’t even run at 1080p (source is Digital Foundry) on both modes, how can mess up that badly.
    Ray tracing in general requires a beefy computer, what we are experiencing is an attempt of raytracing that most games on consoles that have it will not be true raytracing unless they use it in select areas or you’re a wizard at game development (insomniac with ratchet and clank rift apart). True Raytracing requires a very powerful GPU hence we will prob see it in the next generation not this current gen'
    Just like gameplay is the king of gaming, performance is the queen and this game sacrificed their queen for some reason

    In Conclusion
    Jedi Survivor has a pretty decent to good story, gameplay, and music is worth to play it once the performance get fixed.
    Jedi survivor would feel like an 8/10 game without the performance issues but sad to say.
    The game sits at a barely passable 6.5/10 because of the performance was horrible.    … Expand

    Es sin duda el juego mas frustrante en cuanto al combate que he jugado en los últimos años, el control del personaje es nefasto. Gráficamente he tenido que jugarlo a 30fps y aún así muchas texturas son muy lentas en cargar, en 60 fps parece un juego de ps3. Nos han vendido que es un juego de nueva generación y esta claro que es de PS4 con un lavado de cara para su uso en nuevas consolas.Es sin duda el juego mas frustrante en cuanto al combate que he jugado en los últimos años, el control del personaje es nefasto. I find myself playing it for hours every night - looking for hidden secrets, talking to cool characters, and enjoying the scenery.
    Sadly, the game is currently broken. Everyone has already talked about the performance issues, and they definitely get in the way of fully enjoying this experience. Performance mode somehow performs worse than Quality mode, so I'm unfortunately stuck playing it at 30 fps which is sad for the PS5. The platforming can also be a bit wonky which makes certain traversals really frustrating. I want to love this game. I want it to be my favorite game of the year. I want it to be the game I know it can be. If their patches fix the performance issues and more importantly, MAKE ONE OF THE BIGGEST COMPONENTS OF THE GAME WORK AGAIN, I will hopefully be able to give it a higher score.     The game and story are great but I can’t with good conscience rate this game any higher than a 2 because it’s broken. EA had no business to release the game in this state, they should’ve delayed it because it obviously needed more time to be polished. As gamers we need to start demanding complete games upon release, we vote with our wallets and all of us need to stop buying broken games.

He has one arm and uses the force I guess to make a fake arm? Like that’s just now a thing.. just randomly there 3 times and then poof! And Bode is even worse. Instantly knew he was either there to die in the beginning to give weight to some story beat, or he’d end up being some villain who betrays you.. when you have a character who is there from the beginning and you’re forced to blindly trust him you know he’s up to something. Also he has a very bland character design so you know he’s there for some random bland purpose.     Improves upon the original in almost every way. More engaging gameplay, captivating story, and mostly beautiful graphics. Only problem with the graphics are a weird dithering effect that's present even in fidelity mode. Patches have improved the performance but there are still some drops every once in a while. Highly recommend.

    Performance is an absolute disgrace. Avoid buying for at least a year, maybe then it will run fine. No update or patch for weeks now! Bitterly disappointed :(

I am writing this to let anyone know in the near future, who is even thinking about purchasing this game to serious RECONSIDER. This game needed so much polishing up, it's insane. I am writing this to let anyone know in the near future, who is even thinking about purchasing this game to serious RECONSIDER. This game needed so much polishing up, it's insane. I find it unbelievable, that they're charging individuals 70£ for this and it's filled with game breaking bugs and bad performance issues. Performance mode doesn't even perform at 60FPS and has tons of stutter throughout the game. This in turns prevents focus during the action and has input delay. There is also a game breaking bug in regards to doing bounties. An important progression system that has cosmetics and weapons cosmetics tied to them, along with a currency system. This bug didn't even allow me to start the quest and tackle the necessary targets. It's a huge shame, because Jedi Survivor has the makings of a great saga, but all of thes issues kill any sense of enjoyment whatsoever. I beat the story, but I immediately dropped it straight after, because I do not believe my money was worth all the nonsense I went through.

    PLEASE do not buy this game guys. I am not saying it is bad, because it isn't, but EA and Respawn practically got away with our money and gave us a half baked product. WAIT FOR A YEAR, before you buy it. There are far more promising titles coming from trust worthy devs that will do right by their fans. Unfortunately, I will not buying anything from Respawn day one again. In fact, I know they've lost alot of costumers and future ones too, because of their incompetence. You've been warned.     The game is good and improves part one Jedi: Fallen Order in many aspects. It is definitely fun and once the technical problems have been solved, it is worth spending money on it.
    Especially the variety in the battle system, together with the use of the Force, makes the game for me.

    I also find the story a bit stretched and the difficulty of the bosses seems arbitrary and not well balanced. Particularly at the end, the fights become too Souls-like, which I would have chosen if I liked it, but I don't and so it's unfortunately a bit annoying.
    The dialogue between the characters could be better and have more depth.

Hdr is absolutely broken, visible and I mean very visible not just slight vertices bars seperate the color gradients. Stuttering is bad, just bad. After playing ps5 games like Ragnorak and Forbidden west going to a nonstatic sub 60fps is extraordinarily noticeable.     2. Story: most boring story, especially compared to previous game. Main villains is just blend, characters don’t develop at all. The only interesting part is the first mission and the observatory assault. 3. Gameplay:    Don’t buy unless on sale. First mission is 9/10, the rest of the game is 3/10.

    3. Gameplay: 80% of the game is Lara Croft style empty dungeon exploration. Other 20% it tries to be Sekiro, but fails. Fighting feels great in duels, but when there are multiple enemies it’s just bad. Game punishes you for everything, blocking invincibility windows and strange(because of the delay between blocks), enemies spam unblockable attacks and unlike souls games those are the same basic attack animations just with red light. Same goes for droids, sometimes they flash red lasers for unblockables, other times do the same for regular attacks.
    Play forming part is a big joke. You can run walls, but only the highlighted ones. You have a grapple hook, but it works only for specific points. Sometimes it gets ridiculous even for a Jedi game - you push yourself from a wall and force push yourself back in it 5 times in a row to go up. After middle of the game most of the time you do double jump + force dash through power field which allows you to double jump and force push again. Just give him a jet pack.
    4) Voice acting: it was great for everybody except Merin. Only in English she sounds like a fan made voice acting, dull and uninspired. Even worse than Ada in RE4 remake.
    Good parts: Some boss duels and first 3 hours of the game feel interesting, then it just becomes repetitive and silly.    … Expand

    Jeux pas fini, il fallait le repousser . Énormément de bug pour un jeu qui a du potentiel . Je ne peux même pas finir les quetes de Caij à cause d’un bug! Déçu pour toute cette attente. En gros à ne pas acheter pour l’instant tant que les corrections ne seront pas faites .

    I am a massive fan of all things star wars but this game i found to be boring and a massive step back from the original. I am referring here to the back step in stances, that you can now only use 2 at a time and can only be changed at a rest point. Story was ok, more so in second half.

    For me the main issue that affected my enjoyment was the numerous flaws and glitches i have experienced, the quest markers wouldn't update which made me head for 40 mins in wrong direction, on another occasion just going up a lift my character would die as if fell from great height, tears in images on screen and also blurry images, faces look ridiculous at times.
    This game has stopped me from ever buying digital game again and now i feel stuck with a game i will never play again. This coming from a fan who still plays Battlefront 2 to this day. I will also avoid this developer as a result.    … Expand

Yes there are some bugs and one of them prevented me from completing set of missions to get platinum (had to start a new game and it worked). but the fact is, this is the best star wars game to date!!!. it's immersive, better than his prequel (which was amazing) the story and characters are great and you truly feel like aYes the game has performance issues (between 40 to 60 fps mostly). Gameplay is fun at times, but if this wasn’t a Star Wars game it would be graded far more harshly that it is now. Some enemies were impossible for me to kill after research and dozens of tries on normal difficulty; blocking just doesn’t work. I have been gaming for 30 years and this is the most frustrating game I’ve bought in that time - uninstalled it halfway through and zero chance I’ll finish this one.… Expand

    I tried to give ea and respawn a chance they simply do not listen to the community after multiple patches the performance frames and screen is still HORRIBLE!!! When it should have been their priority.. I feel sad for the series!

    Having now 100% completed this game and its list of trophies, i can safely say its one of my favorite star wars games in a long time and a great sequel.

    Positives: - Incredibly fun combat (especially in boss fights). - Compelling narrative with some real stand out moments, particularly towards the end. - Fleshes out the main cast far more than the first. - Excellent soundtrack. - Solid    Having now 100% completed this game and its list of trophies, i can safely say its one of my favorite star wars games in a long time and a great sequel.

    Positives:
    - Incredibly fun combat (especially in boss fights).
    - Compelling narrative with some real stand out moments, particularly towards the end.
    - Fleshes out the main cast far more than the first.
    - Excellent soundtrack.
    - Solid visuals/overall presentation.
    - Massively improved customization options.
    - Includes far more side content and secrets.

    Negatives:
    - Performance isn’t that good (even as of June 2023).
    - Certain important characters unfortunately didn’t get enough involvement or screen time in the overall story.
    - Various bugs were present in my play-through, some blocking 100% completion, requiring a NG+ run.
    - Many mysteries surrounding the game’s main location were brought up and then never revisited.

    Its important to note that i also 100% completed this games predecessor, Jedi: Fallen Order and liked it but didn’t really love it. But in my honest opinion, Jedi: Survivor is an improvement in every area that matters, except performance of-course (though it’s not nearly as egregiously bad anymore). Making this a worthwhile sequel and one that gets me excited for the future.    … Expand

    Gameplay is average, visuals are decent, and exploration is repetitive. The main issue is performance. Playing on PS5 with performance mode ON still only seems to reach 30fps AT BEST. I've had multiple crashes and game breaking bugs, and I'm reviewing 2 months after the game's release. Overall, it's an average game with some very glaring issues.

    Great and fun game. Definetely better than FO! Fortunately, I did not have as many bugs as the most of the other players, so enjoyed it very much.

The game feels empty, with large sections of mindless parkour followed by more mindless sections, but this times filled with a ton of enemies the size of your foot, but somehow do half your health bar with one hit on normal mode. And the parkour is extremely bad, as well as the puzzles. The puzzles are stupid, either because they are somewhere they shouldn't be, or because they make no sense. And the parkour is either mind numbingly boring, or its extremely hard to do because finding the path is like finding Waldo. If you aren't 2 inches from your screen, it can be easy to overlook slightly differently shaped pieces of rock, meaning you can be stuck on one jump for minutes because the game designers don't know how to distinguish between background textures and important-pieces-to-the-puzzle textures. And for some reason, you can lose hours of progress at once for no reason, and the game will just spawn you in at a random meditation point you visited. Afterwards, the ride-able creatures will float in the air, or rubber-band around when you are riding them. This game came out almost half a year ago, and yet t major bugs like this are still in the game. It is a waste of money to buy, because they clearly don't care about making an actually engaging and enjoyable story and world. They just want your money. But hey, pay them like 20 extra bucks, and you can get a few free skins and colors you can use if you want, even though they don't look much different than the other skins you can unlock. I haven't really noticed the performance issues the others are dealing with, but it does sometimes get really bad for no reason, just not enough to be an issue for me.… Expand

    Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a much bigger game than before, with plenty of new moves, collectibles and characters to discover. The size of its open-world maps means it also lacks some of the variety of its predecessor, but there is so much to see and do that you'll likely not care one jot. Perhaps the most impressive aspect is how well fleshed-out the adventure is - better even than many of the TV series and films on which it is based. This is a blockbuster in the truest sense.
