    The issues with stutter on PS5 even on performance mode is embarrassing. The game is great, but the execution needs some work.

    This is another sad instance of a great game being rushed out of the gates before it has been fully cooked. If EA was a restaurant and this game was a steak & they served this to you they'd be shut down by the health inspectors because its ****ing raw. It does not preform anywhere close to acceptable on any console or PC. They promised    Is the game good? Yes.

    30-50fps, blurry textures, texture pop-ins, hdr broken. Game is horrible optimized on console and ps5. Dont support this. Looks like ps4 game.

    The PS5 version is completely borked. HDR is completely broken. Colors look like they are in the wrong color space. Framerates drop all the time on both quality and performance modes. There is stuttering happening every 20 seconds. I've experienced nearly a dozen crashes and I've tried everything from rebuilding the database to uninstalling other software. Nothing helps. This is a 100%The PS5 version is completely borked. HDR is completely broken. Colors look like they are in the wrong color space. Framerates drop all the time on both quality and performance modes. There is stuttering happening every 20 seconds. I've experienced nearly a dozen crashes and I've tried everything from rebuilding the database to uninstalling other software. Nothing helps. This is a 100% broken release. Oh, and another thing! WHY wasn't the whole game included on the disc version!? This defeats the purpose. You could have put the rest of the data on a second disc.     Performance mode is awful and the 30 fps mode gives me too much of a headache to be able to play more than a hour. I wouldnt care so much but it so frustrating that a good game is ruined by a bad performance. Its also more than an average linear game and you can explore but on 30 fps the exploration is hard, you barely see where you are going. Cannot recommend this game at this state, andPerformance mode is awful and the 30 fps mode gives me too much of a headache to be able to play more than a hour.     Terrible PS5 performance. Lots of screen tearing, bugs everywhere. It's a shame that EA/Disney keep releasing sub-standard products for the Star Wars franchise.

    Absolutely DREADFUL release on ps5 performance mode. Frame drops, screen tearing and crashes and bugs. How can EA and Respawn think it was a good idea to release it at this state? Very disappointing since I liked the first game.

    Very buggy, ranging from crashes, meny stops working, map markers overlap the fast travel and the balloons you have to place will not be placed; forcing you to reload in combination of a horrible autosave made this a less than enjoyable experience.

    BUT: i dont get why they needed to trash the Combat mode to a point where i switched to "story mode" because the annoyance was just too much to enjoy. So thats been a complete miss compared from the last title. No idea whay they needed to change that.. In the old game , parrying felt good.. it "clicked" when you did it correctly .. But now? i dont even know if it generally works somehow? outside of the tutorial i have never had the feeling that a parry does anything.

    Also the story telling is "questionable" especially the environmental crap.. when you first do a rescue mission for a guy you were supposed to climba pilgrims path when you encoutner situations you cant solve with your current arsenal of tricks,, but then you simply remember another trick and hee you go, you can now airdash .. just like this. you have "unlocked" a new ability by just remembering it. and now the entire parcopurs heavily depends on exactky THAT. annoying as frigg. Same on a certain Hulker in a certain swamp..can't move stuff with your force? remeber a scene where Ceres used it and BAM now you can SLAM things with your Force instead of pushing or pulling them. same with the "dash through forcefields" anility of Merrin.. nope now you can , too since she gave you a talisman and a kiss. Yeah..no.

    MOST UTTERLY ANNOYING: the game has no mini map (okay thats bearable) but you can also only set beacons in the map and they do not who up in the real world (i thoughts that what beacons were for ?) and the game also does an awfull bad job to tell you where to go. sometimes you simply have to jump "somewhere" to see if there is a gtrapple point popping up somewhere further out "somewhere", to be able to maybe reach it.
    so no.
    Plus the many many many nonsensical issues that pop up in the story where the timeline seems to be conflicting. or things that jst dont make any sense like empire stormtroops scattered across a VERY impossible to reach path to the sanctuary - HOW did they get here with no jedi powers?    … Expand

    Disney owns the critical narrative so it's no shocker here it got good mainstream reviews. Here is the problem: It's mostly a jumping climbing platform game of pure frustration. Firstly, the game doesn't let you save when you want and the save points are far and few between.     Overhyped buggy disaster. Even on graphics mode the game is beyond blurry and looks like an early ps4 game. Not to mention the unresponsive controls and the uninspired combat. Save your money and wait for a sale. Most i’d recommend paying for this currently is $15.

    Really too bad how this game has screen tearing, jittering, and slowness, even after the latest updates. This is performance mode on a 1080p TV. Nothing too crazy. This game is just not optimized. Tired of paying these prices for unfinished games. Lesson learned.

    This game run very poorly--uneven/stuttery frame dropping, screen tearing, crashing, and more. The worst is the horrible bugs. For example there is an xp loss bug which is maddening. You waste hours with that one bug alone, not to mention the other, many glitches.

    Not ok.

    Gra bardzo fajna pod względem merytorycznym i kreacji świata, postaci. Niestety błedy techniczne, brak stabilności i jakość prezentowanej grafiki są tak fatalne, że uniemożliwiają grę. Przez to co się dzieje odechciewa się grać. Miejmy tylko nadzięję, że zostanie to naprawione. Na tą chwilę żałuję, że kupiłem grę.

Typical trappings of Ubisoft style open world collectathon, map defogging and icon clearing.

    I really miss the days when games used to actually be fun. This game is nothing but frustration. Especially the traversal puzzles in the Force Tears. The devs themselves came out and confirmed that the stupid red scavenger droids that burrow and get away every single time were made on purpose to be frustrating and trolling you. Here is one big middle finger to that!

    As most people have said, when the game works its great - improved all aspects since Jedi Fallen from movement, to combat, to graphics to the worlds. Fast travel also a massive bonus. However as like most triple A games, the game should of not of been released in this state and shouldve of been in a lot better condition!

It is ridiculous that you can release a game worth $60-£70 these days in this kind of state - the amount of bugs, crashes, frame rate drops is shockingly bad. When these companies are in the testing development stage, why did no one flag these issues? Surely they can see them? 2 weeks and 5 patches later show how bad the game was and still in!     Even after the first patch since it's release the performance is upsetting. This game does not deserve anywhere near a score of 10. These developers need to get it together and ship out games that are finished. If they expect us to pay full price for a game the game better be fully finished.

    When I play the Uncharted series, Tomb Raider, The Last of Us ect, this game is light years away from being so fun and so good and quality that simply compared to the franchises I mentioned among others, it's not worth a game note 7

    Even with all the well documented performance issues aside (and it can be a struggle to overlook them especially when like me you had the game crash consistently once every hour or so while just walking around), this just isn't a very good game.

    It feels like Star Wars should be a pretty adaptable and easy recipe to master, especially when it comes to game design. Give me a lightsaber and make sure the controls feel tight. Seems simple enough on the surface. Instead - like the last game, it feels like a trend chase; western devs who clearly love and admire the works of the likes of FromSoftware, who don't understand what makes those games special or how to capture the satisfying mechanical feel of them.
    Hits don't feel impactful, dodging feels way too stiff and imprecise, all the while enemy attacks just seem to have a really heavy pull to you; sliding them across the ground even when you dodge correctly. These are the kinds of issues that were resolved in FromSoft games in like 2011, so it just feels unforgivable at this point.

    The writing is as many recent SW outings across TV and film have been: sights and sounds simulators with nothing new or interesting to say. They know that the masses want slop to lap up; seemingly insatiable and rabid fans with an unquenchable hunger for references to some far flung expanded universe book that amount to nothing more than some little freak called Glup Shiddo showing up in the background for them to clap for.
    The last actually original feeling SW content was The Last Jedi. Like it or not it actually tried to challenge the status quo of what SW is and could be, while having genuine character arcs that feel resolved and or clearly inbound for a conclusion.

    Jedi Survivor picks up with the same lifeless protagonist as it's predecessor, a person with delivery so dry that it's impossible to feel drawn in. The supporting cast - like the first game, has one saving grace in the form of Greez, however he is woefully absent from most of the game, leaving you with a cast that feels like the boring versions of the already insufferable Guardians of the Galaxy.

    Just not good. If you see a used copy cheap or a digital sale where it's 60% off, then *maybe* it'll be worth your time, and that's only if you love SW.    … Expand

However, the game has bugs so bad they literally can ruin your playthrough (this is what happened to me). There are multiple areas that if you died and did not meditate beforehand then you will get stuck and will have to restart THE ENTIRE game overWhat had the potential to be an absolute beast of a game is just trashed so hard by bugs.     The game looks broken on my PS5. Textures disappear, frames slow down, FPS drops to zero. Horizontal lines on the screen when the camera is rotated. All geometry is distorted and covered with ripples. This game is not ready for sale. Bad release.

    This game is a disaster. 6 patches later the game still doesnt work properly on ps5 atleast for me. I get constant frame dips and screen tearing. Doesnt matter if i chose performance mode or quality mode wish they would fix it.

I'm not sure if my taste has changed or the game series didn't evolve like other franchises, but it's just pretty boring and the storyline lacks imagination and depth. It's just sort of a blah game (not mentioning the tech issues). I wish I hadn't purchased it and even though there's no other bigI type this as my screen is currently frozen. Btw looka like a PS3 game in performance mode. Even Cyberpunk looked better in its early release on PS5. What a waste of potential. Such a good game wasted on EA marketing policies.

    This game should not be released at this time:
    -performance mode have even 640x480 graphics - really! Even then it has almost all the time drops of fps
    -graphic mode looks better, but it has huge fps drops all the time, it is not usable
    -reuse of fragments of previous game - what is funny, those places looked better than.
    -platformer with almost no "force" use - only lightsaber.

    The characters are stereotypical, uninteresting, and even Cal became a dreamy robot.

    The environments are lacklustre, everything feels like an empty desert. There is empty Coruscant, empty random planet I cannot even remember the name of, the broken moon which in reality is just an uninteresting space base and Jedah, which is a desert. What happened??? We had Kashyyyk, Zeffo, Bracca, all beautiful unique environments...

    The platform elements are boring. Jump on wall, run on wall, use a rope. We had these already in the previous episode and in every action platformer game in the past 20 years.

    The combat is unbalanced. There are mini bosses that are waaaaay harder than almost any of the big bosses. Which are mostly hit and dodge too, anyways. The stances could be a nice refreshment, but why can I slot only 2 at the same time? Why is there a 2 handed stance where the lightsaber feels like a broadsword? The blade of the lightsaber does not have weight and the weight of the hilt does not change based on how it's held. Illogical ****

    And the customization. Ahh. I can change the color and appearance of the lightsaber, Cal, BD who is not even visible most of the time and can have an aquarium and a garden. This feels more than insulting. Why can't we customize the Mantis, intertior, exterior? Customize the interior of the pub... Build a small settlement... Or do anything that feels remotely interesting and meaningful.

    Last but not least, the technical part: I had some crashes, a lot of texture popups, slowdowns, etc which probably will be better in a couple of weeks. But the animations are horrible, the characters and mounts seem/feel like ice skating on the ground.
    And the game does not seem like a PS5 game. Horizon which was released last year has jaw-dropping environments, animations, lighting, character animations. Compared to that, SWJ:S feels like at least previous generation.

    I must be used to playing on PC or this game is just hot booty. You spam an attack button and try and dodge because you know an attack is coming but the input gameside is slowed and literal. If you hit that attack button 5 times, you're going to attack 5 times, once it's over or you've been wrecked then you can move and dodge. Garbage system if they purposefully did this. I take damage, so I just sit there focusing on defense, the enemy has an opening so I attack, enemy moves slightly and Cal misses altogether wasting a force move, now a rocket comes in from the periphery but I can’t force push it because I’m out of force, I get knocked over, meanwhile another enemy jumps on top of me. I try to block again but still Cal is too late. It’s like trying to play an online game but the lag is sooo bad you turn it off. When there are titles out there with amazing gameplay, horizon, assassins creed, nier automata to name a couple examples, heck the Witcher III wild hunt has better combat(or should I say more enjoyable).     Anyone that has bought this game has bought a broken product and defending it is just enabling big companies like EA to keep doing **** like this to the consumer. I’ve literally seen reviews on here giving it a score of 8-10 even acknowledging the performance issues but accepting it because the name Star Wars is slapped onto it.

    To be critical, I’ll give it a 2 in its current state. Combat, gameplay and story are mostly fine even if slightly generic, but it loses 8 because of it being a total mess on launch and I feel cheated into buying a game with that much money behind it when it’s not finished.

    Also please remember, that a big company like EA does not need you to white knight for them. A brand like Star Wars does not need you to white knight for them. They’ll do just fine on their own. They don’t care about you, just your money and the more we keep giving it to them and defending them for stuff like this, the less they are ever likely to change.    … Expand

I loved fallen order and from what I've heard the game itself here is an improvement in most ways, its a shame I cant get there because its the most poorly optimised game I've ever played.

    I cannot play this game from disc without internet connection. Why they sell game on disc when download is required? If I wanted to download the game, I would buy the digital version, not the physical. Shame on you EA!!!!! They should wait 2 months, and finish the game and afrer that make version on two BR discs if that many data is required.

Jedi Survivor simply wasn't ready for release and it's downright unethical to charge $70+ and release in this state. Worst performing game on PS5 I've played and it's not close. Therefore, all involved are completely aware of the state it's in and have no problem charging the unsuspecting public £69.99 for a product that doesn't work and employs substandard previous gen graphics, worse is that Sony PlayStation has become one of the worst companies in the world for customer service, true to form their chat bot won’t connect to an agent and nobody replies when e-mails are sent to CS., also no tele number they can be contacted on. This means requesting a refund is an absolute nightmare. I can forgive development issues, but can’t and won’t forgive PlayStation’s lack of customer care, support and their agenda driven politics. This product shouldn’t have gone to market in its current state and they make it impossible to request refunds. Think it's time to ditch PlayStation and focus on Steam and Xbox. So far this month Sony has effectively stolen £89.99 from me, I also purchased horizon burning shores which is astonishingly bad and typical of their agenda, but at least Jedi Survivor will become one of the best games of all time providing they can fix its problems on each platform.… Expand

    I've experienced path blocking bugs several times already, interactable objects in major puzzles not being interactable, Two separate times so far and another time 5 minutes after the second, a bug where you permanently lose exp because it doesn't spawn it back properly, load in glitches where you fall through the map, this is just not acceptable at all. Are you making a game for your investors or your audience EA?. A deadline is only a guide and only as good as when it is finished. I am sick and tired of games getting pushed out unfinished in a pseudo early access state charging people full price for when we "fix it later".

    This game is a 9 or a 10, the release gets a fat 0 and it will be a fat 0 until it is fixed. What a damn shame.    … Expand

    Cant recommend this game. Frames drop, tons of glitches, performance mode looks awful and isnt stable. Such a shame cuz I loved the first game :/

    That game is the biggest game disappointment this year. The game concept it self it's much better than the first game, gameplay and story as well, but that means absolutely nothing when it is nearly impossible to play the game with solid 60. I experience every second frame drops, stuttering, the texture doesn't load and the texture in that game omg they are so bad it looks really blurred.That game is the biggest game disappointment this year. That game is the worst release since cyberpunk probably worst because cyberpunk worked on pc but not in the consoles but jedi survivor run trash in all platforms. How are some people giving that trash game release a 10 or 9. You guys are one of the problems why we are getting such bad unfinished game. As long they are people supporting like you guys such bad game release that will probably never ends. Don't buy this game and finance that incredible bad game release.     I will be so happy to play the rest of this game when it's actually possible to do so...as of this writing, that is not possible on my PS5. The screen tearing, texture pop-in, flickering, visual auras, and other graphics glitches give me too much eyestrain to play for longer than a few minutes at a time. It's unfortunate that this is the state the game was released in, given its focus onI will be so happy to play the rest of this game when it's actually possible to do so...as of this writing, that is not possible on my PS5. I was expecting some small amount of eyestrain from the lightsaber combat effects, but the performance issues make the game virtually unplayable if you have any kind of photosensitivity issues. I sincerely hope that EA and Respawn make good on their promises to resolve these issues in the upcoming patches, because the story and combat look amazing! But at the end of the day, this is not a comic book or a movie; it's a video game. If the player experience is at worst, not there at all, or at best, unenjoyable, there's not much point.… Expand

    I give you young gamers a very valuable advice so you don´t fall prey to such consumer unfriendly behaviours. Never ever trust them review Outlets again, all of them gave the game high ratings and said the technical issues are not that big of a problem. Truth is they´re big problems.
    The next thing is do never ever buy games on release, why? Past has shown games are thrown on the market in half baked conditions just to meet shareholders ends via ripping you off your money.
    80 Bucks and you get this trash performance. It´s nothing less than a fraud big time.

The performance of the game is also absolutely atrocious. I can get 160 frames a second out of cyberpunk 2077 with maxed out graphics, and yet I can barely break 40 on this? Asked for a refund.     Il faut vraiment que les gens arretent de se satisfaire de ce genre de chose pour faire comprendre au studio que ça ne marche pas, ils ne peuvent pas sortir des produits defectueux!

    il devrait y avoir une loi pour mettre des grosses amendes aux studios qui osent faire ça.

    Rendez vous dans 6 mois pour tester le jeu dans des conditions normales. Quand on voit Gow ragnarock qui est sortie NIKEL, ça donne un exemple de ce à quoi pourrait ressembler jedi survivor si EA n'etaient pas des arnaqueurs professionnels.    … Expand

    The game is broken. It is very buggy and still a beta. Wait for the christmass sales, by then it should be patched enought to play. It's a shame, since when the game works it is very good. It's been rushed out to make money. This is a repeat of cyberpunk

I really liked the first game and bought this one on the day it launched. One of the mistakes I will never do again. Super frustrating and disappointing.     edit: I forgot to mention that after 6 hrs of playing the save file on PS5 crashed on loading - every time. Had to start a new game, then go back to main menu and load the corrupted file. That helped but after this I didn't bother to keep on playing. Just had enough.    … Expand

    This is traditionally EA...i have experienced this from them multiple times. They force companies to rush products. We should all be concerned when a company brags about cutting corners and doing things in record time. We should not reward that by buying the game. I never listen or read professional reviews because they are not honest and are misleading. Our reviews are the real ones.     Now sure how people are having a good time with the game, when it runs, it's great, but most of the time it's a frame dropping, stuttery, laggy mess!!! I have a 5900X and an ASUS ROG STRIX 4090 and it's suffering big time!! Got to the part where I got my 2nd tamed animal to ride, went into the area after you jump the gate, 5 fps, then freezes. Had to Alt+F4 to force close the game. INow sure how people are having a good time with the game, when it runs, it's great, but most of the time it's a frame dropping, stuttery, laggy mess!!! I have a 5900X and an ASUS ROG STRIX 4090 and it's suffering big time!! Got to the part where I got my 2nd tamed animal to ride, went into the area after you jump the gate, 5 fps, then freezes.     Wanted to like it, but it's just a shallow game with not a lot of skill (none really) involved. Once again they completely dropped the ball by not having upgrades to your gear.     Imagine Elden Ring reskinned as Star Wars. That's a game I would have loved to play. This felt like a hollow game devoid of purpose and soul.

    Would have loved to have gotten my money back after an hour....

    Once again EA delivers a terrible PC port. The game that already suffered from unlikable and ugly side characters now is a ugly terribly performing game overall.

    The professional critics giving this a 80 or 100 score should be ashamed of themselves. They can't have actually played this.

    Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a much bigger game than before, with plenty of new moves, collectibles and characters to discover. The size of its open-world maps means it also lacks some of the variety of its predecessor, but there is so much to see and do that you'll likely not care one jot. Perhaps the most impressive aspect is how well fleshed-out the adventure is - better even than many of the TV series and films on which it is based. This is a blockbuster in the truest sense.
