    Me parece un juego bastante mejorable, entiendo que con Sonic venimos de donde venimos y ha habido juegos terribles y a lo mejor este no esta tan mal, sobretodo porque este recicla muchos niveles de juegos antiguos y algunos son bastante buenos, aunque en este juego se jueguen peor.

    Los niveles normales sin muchos comentarios, sonic lleva muerto en el 3d desde que dejaron de apostar por un diseño de niveles competentes siendo el boost la prioridad absoluta, haciendo los niveles básicamente automáticos, y esto se ve en este juego comparando niveles de los adventures y de los posteriores.

    En cuanto al 2d, un poco más de lo mismo, demasiado centrado en el boost, pero bastante mal, el sonic rush usaba el boost de forma más estratégica y era un juegazo, en este el boost el el boton de correr de los marios si el botón de correr de los marios se pasará el nivel. además no se si es por el campo de visión o las distorsiones o el qué, pero en los niveles 2d se ve horrible, es muy molesto a la vista.

    Además de eso comentar que las físicas son horribles, sonic cuesta mucho de controlar en el aire, tiene el giro en el aire muy limitado incluso al usar el segundo salto, atacar los enemigos es muy lento y las rampas alteran la altura del salto de forma muy poco intuitiva, no depende de la velocidad y cuando estas bajando te baja mucho el salto cuando deberia ser mas perpendicular.

    El problema principal lo encuentro en el overworld, que precisamente es lo que la gente más alaba y realmente no lo entiendo.

    Entiendo que el concepto en si no esta tan mal, al final lo que es este sonic es un mario odyssey con speed, pero esta realmente muy mal ejecutado, correr con sonic es satisfactorio cuando estás en el suelo, pero dejando de lado correr un poco no hay nada más que hacer, al mundo le faltan elementos integrados de plataforma tal como pendientes, loopings y demás elementos típicos de la saga, algo más o menos como lo visto en el utopia, pero no hay nada.

    El resto de elementos del overworld estan muy mal ejecutados, dejare mas detalle en la reseña de steam.

    En resumen: El juego es más o menos disfrutable, al nivel de los más recientes, no es mejor que fuerces, si no fuera porque forces tiene los niveles del avatar, hay 2 partes en el juego, los niveles y el overworld, el overworld es un tramite para ver los videos de la historia y es la peor parte del juego, los niveles son pasables sin más, es cierto que hay algunos bastante buenos (sacados de los adventures y del generations) pero es eso, reciclados, para jugar lo poco bueno que tiene el juego es mejor disfrutar los originales, adventures 2 sigue siendo el mejor sonic y generations y manía son juegos bastante decentes que son más disfrutables que este juego, mi consejo es que si queréis sonic probeis dichos juegos. Y en general poco mas, el juego se ve empeñado también por otros problemas menores como una cámara muy errática y un popping monstruoso    … Expand

    Don´t listen to the fanboys. There is no other way to say it. This game is extremly badly developed. It looks and feels like a 1 man UE5 fan demo. Pop ins right in front of you even on the ps5/series X is a joke. Useless grind everywhere etc. etc. Don´t support this or games will continue to get worse, not better!

    So, uh... this game is Amazin'?

    I did not expect to love this as much as I did, and this is comin' from someone that Loved Sonic Forces!
    But this game is just on another level!
    Everythin', the Story, the OST, the Cutscenes, the Gameplay, The Bosses... there wasn't a single thing I disliked 'bout this one, and I'm still in awe on how much this made me feel good!

    Best 3D Sonic game ever. It's so much more varied and enjoyable than previous 3D Sonic games. Really fun speedy game and there's never a dull moment, and there hasn't been a platformer like this. Music and visuals are beautiful as well. It's a good basis for future Sonic games and if the next game is PS5 and Xbox Series only, it could be something truly special.

    ¿Qué ha pasado con Sonic Frontiers? Pues que es un juego donde fallan todos los elementos de la franquicia Sonic: No tenemos el estilo visual colorido, ni la música tan chula de siempre (la OST de frontiers tiene sus momentos, pero la mayoría del tiempo la música es aburrida), ni los enemigos de la franquicia de siempre

    En definitiva, lo que tenemos es un juego que ha mezclado géneros que por separado han triunfado: Monster Hunter, The legend of Zelda, Phantasy Star, Shadows of Colossus, etc. pero juntos, no pegan ni con cola. Da la sensación de que han metido a Sonic con calzador. Luego, con las críticas del pasado verano, han hecho el "esfuerzo" de meter las fases del ciberespacio, pero seguramente, lo han hecho a prisa y corriendo y les han quedado unas fases muy cortas (y para colmo, es lo único auténtico de la franquicia Sonic). Como resultado, tenemos un juego muy irregular, que de ninguna manera, puede convertirse en la piedra angular de los próximos años. Ahora toca esperar a las auténticas ventas a ver si este juego "convence aunque sea económicamente a SEGA" o les da un baño de realidad pues no es de recibo hacer un mundo abierto que está desierto y construido adrede, para alargar artificialmente la duración del juego. Más les hubiese valido haber seguido con la magnífica fórmula de los Sonic Adventure o del Generations

    Es lo único que destaca del juego y lo hace por momentos. La música "triste" o "relajante" no le pega nada al erizo

    Se salva de la quema las fases del ciberespacio. Las del mundo abierto no tienen sentido y está todo hecho para que pierdas el tiempo dando vueltas por escenarios vacíos y el juego dure entre 15 y 20 horas. Una vez platinado no merece la pena rejugarlo

    As a diehard Sonic fan, it pains me a lot to have to write this

    If I compare it with other Sonic games, Sonic Frontiers is the 2nd worst, only above Sonic the hedgehog 2006 (for obvious reasons, since that game had a lot of bugs). It doesn't beat any Sonic Adventure, nor Colours, nor Generations, Unleashed, nor Heroes, nor of course, the unfairly criticized Forces

    What happened with Sonic Frontiers? Well, it's a game where all the elements of the Sonic franchise fail: We don't have the colorful visual style, nor the cool music as always (the OST of Frontiers has its moments, but most of the time the music is boring), nor the enemies of the franchise as always

    In short, what we have is a game that has mixed genres that separately have succeeded: Monster Hunter, The legend of Zelda, Phantasy Star, Shadows of Colossus, etc. but together, they don't fit together at all. It feels like Sonic has been shoehorned in. Then, with the criticisms of last summer, they have made the "effort" to put the cyberspace stages, but surely, they have done it in a hurry and in a hurry and they have left some very short stages (and to top it off, it is the only authentic thing of the Sonic franchise). As a result, we have a very irregular game, that in no way, can become the cornerstone of the next years.     The first Sonic game written by Ian 'donut steal' Flynn. It's not only the worst Sonic game ever made, making 06 **** blush with the lack of technical skill on display, but it's just one long fetch-quest. It fails as a Sonic game, it fails as a game, and it has the nerve to ask you for AAA price somehow.

    Nasty pop in from environments, some levels are really badly designed and every enemy I faced was a chore (maybe with the exception of some like the button robot, which was really quick).

    Feels like this game was pieced together by a committee in order to produce below average rubbish.

    Natürlich hat das Spiel auch seine schwächen, aber über die paar technischen Probleme wie die pop ins kann man hinwegsehen. Es is seit langem mal wieder ein guter Sonic Teil bei dem das spielen auch Spaß macht. Sonic steuert sich sehr gut und das Spiel läuft flüssig also hier auch keine großen Beschwerden. Kann man nur empfehlen einmal selber zu spielen und dann zu entscheiden wie man esNatürlich hat das Spiel auch seine schwächen, aber über die paar technischen Probleme wie die pop ins kann man hinwegsehen.     Amazing how reviewers and zoomer morons will flip their sh1t when a game not associated with Nintendo has bugs, but start defending when the world's highest grossing media franchise (Pokemon) puts out a game that has just as bad or even worse bugs and glitches.

    Don't ever tell me Nintendo bonus doesn't exist.

With this kind of speed however, you might think it'd be a bit hard to control but not at all after some getting used to, it controls almost perfect with some hiccups here and there but nothing to detract from the fun of traversal!
    Cyber Space is this games equivalent of botw shrines and they are such a fun pace breaker from the open zone, they are very short but super fun to speed run.    … Expand

    Se me hace raro el ver elementos flotando en el aire como Rieles y tiene un popping que podría trabajarse mediante parches, siendo eso lo malo, lo demás está bastante interesante. Debe ser por lejos el Sonic más complejo e interesante en mucho tiempo.

    This game had some potential, but just missed the mark in everything it tried to do. The cyberspace levels are wonky and boring, the over world is filled with tedious objectives, the story takes itself way too seriously and is overall confusing or has a lot of buildup that leads to nothing, is never mentioned again, or is extremely underwhelming. (although writing and story is a huge stepThis game had some potential, but just missed the mark in everything it tried to do. The cyberspace levels are wonky and boring, the over world is filled with tedious objectives, the story takes itself way too seriously and is overall confusing or has a lot of buildup that leads to nothing, is never mentioned again, or is extremely underwhelming. (although writing and story is a huge step up since unleashed). Not a fan of Ian Flynn's take on the characters (again its a step up since unleashed, but the characters still don't act like how they used to pre colors), and I don't like how he tries to make everything canon to the games (Sticks from boom spin off is mentioned as well as his own character tangle from comics which is so cringe). The voice cast I am still not a fan of, Sonic is too deep, Amy is too serious and sounds like Minnie mouse, Tails too girly, Knuckles is fine. Overall the game is the best Sonic game since Generations (not an accomplishment but a step in the right direction for sure).… Expand

    I played the game for an hour or so and never went back. Something about it didn't grab me. I think this type of game is just outdated. I think Sonic could have his own great game, but this is not it.

    Mediocre game. I don't understand why this is being highly rated. Even older titles such as Super Mario Odyssey are much more fun as a platformer over this. Story is cringe-worthy at best.

    Let's start withe the good. Sonic Frontiers is Sonic at his highest form we have seen in some time. The speed can really be felt, even though the world is huge. In fact, that is an advantage because it gives Sonic more freedom to run around then he has ever seen. I'm kind of mixed on the boss fights, but they are fun and engaging.     On the bad, let's start with the technical:
    *Pop-in for days, they didn't even try to hide with some cyberspace transition or dithering, just complete parts of the level appearing out of nowhere.
    *Crashes, this seems unique to the PS5 platform, but nonetheless this game is very poorly optimized for the PS5; and I recommend playing it on Xbox or PC if you can. None of the platform features are on display, no VRR, no 3D sounds, no improved haptics.
    *Flying through the map. In my playthrough I got yeeted through the map on multiple occasions, and it seems like there are some substantial collision bugs set throughout the open world.

    Non-Technical:
    *The open world enemies are more annoying than actual fun encounters, you will quickly learn to just run past them unless you need some collectible they hold.
    *While I appreciate the attempt at a story, that's all it is, an attempt. A shot and a miss. They really don't even want to tell you what is going on for *most* of this game, with cryptic cutscenes that expose nothing of the situation. It's "your princess is in another castle" on overdrive. People are comparing this to SA2 and I hate them for it. This is nothing even remotely close to SA2. The cutscenes border on SA1 laughable.
    *The camera is once again the final boss of a Sonic game. They have this really horrid idea to "lock" the camera in certain situations (read: a lot), and it jerks the perspective away from the player just because you ran past a certain enemy in the open world. Even in the traditional Sonic levels (called CyberSpace Levels here), you have to run the track once just to see which direction the camera is going to lock in and play against it. It keeps you from freely looking around and exploring the levels other than the golden path, and a couple alternates (left of right, or top and bottom).

    The game overall feels incomplete, like they were just throwing ideas at the wall to try to make a game out of. From jump rope, to pinball, to really weird puzzles that don't fit with Sonic at all. Half the time I couldn't even find the motivation to continue playing, because the story certainly isn't compelling. I can't find myself to rate this negatively, but it's just a mediocre game. One day I dream we will get a Sonic game that rises to the fit and finish of Mario. Today ain't that day.    … Expand

    The worst game I've ever played. Everything you wouldn't want in a sonic game thrown into some grey dull open world area. Cyberspace levels give it some playability but they're not even half the size of the originals. By far the biggest disappointment and disastrous game ever made.

Acredito que somente quem é fã da franquia conseguirá de alguma forma ser cativado pelo jogo. Prometia muito mas ao meu ver não entregou a altura da grandeza da franquia, infelizmente.

    I just 100% completed Sonic Frontiers and I got to say, what a fun ride it was. From start to finish I enjoyed everything about this game. The story, the gameplay, the world and the music were all beautifully crafted. This is definitely the best Sonic game we have had in a VERY long time. I hope Sonic Team continues to go in this direction for future titles as this was an amazingI just 100% completed Sonic Frontiers and I got to say, what a fun ride it was. From start to finish I enjoyed everything about this game. The story, the gameplay, the world and the music were all beautifully crafted.     The start of the game was great; exploring the first two worlds were fun but then by the time you get to the third world the game starts losing its quality, adding way too much 2D sections. I don’t like the game as much as I thought I would. I feel disappointed.

    I love this game with all my heart. I'm really glad to see the team have their passion back and can only hope they keep the upward spiral going. This entry hit all the right notes for me.     El mejor juego de sonic sin duda, tiene una historia muy buena, buen sountrack con música que te mete en el misterio y belleza de las islas y en jugabilidad una cómoda más no perfecta ya que tiene sus fallas y estas se dan más en las fases de cyberespacio aún así es jugable y comodo.
    Si eres fan de sonic debes jugarlo si o si y si no lo eres pues dale una oportunidad, no te arrepentiras.

    It's a good attempt in setting Sonic in the right direction, but with the game feeling like a test game, unpolished, over recycled assets, non original cyberstages, ok story (boss fights are sick though), this is not worth full price. Sonic Team still has alot of work to do. Sonic is not back

    It's a solid game with a big open world to explore, good platforming experience, fast paced combat and puzzle solving. Puzzles are too easy though combat is pretty fun. the beginning of the game may be a bit slow to progress, anyway it's a good game. Far from perfect, but it's the good game Sonic deserved

I feel like the story is lacking if you havent played or dont have a lot of knowledge of prior sonice games as it somewhat does rely on you to know some characters there history and even previous events for you to you to get that full experience but as someone who has that knowledge, the characters were represented in a way that just felt right and the story was nice especially for lore. The only thing id say about the ending and final boss is that it was somewhat anticlimactic especially compared to prior parts of the game and even other sonic final bosses but had some nice character moments and although not the best ending still felt satisfying. Overall one of the best sonic games to date, its best moments are amazing and its worst can feel slow and tedious. For sonic fans this is a must buy and would honestly give this a 9/10 but for casual gamers who arent too familiar with the series this game will feel more like a 7/10… Expand

    Putting sonic in an open zone with the fastest boost mechanic in the series felt amazing! Similar to Spider-man on PS4 the movement never got stale and at times I'd just be running and exploring the game just for the fun of it! The movement felt amazing most of the time, there are slight hiccups like the 2D camera getting in the way, some structures sonic should be able to run up on just don't work but overall the movement is one of the best in the series. Sonic actually turns extremely well!
    Though a little negative on the gameplay is that the structure of the gameplay did get repetitive and the quality of the islands got worse, the fourth island wasn't even an island in terms of exploration and looked familiar to Kronos & the last island just felt like an expanded Kronos, I was hoping with a snow island but oh well. But overall very good! The combat I was really shocked by, the combat is pretty good! Sonic has a vast skill-set & enemies that sonic faces all have different attack patterns and effective ways to beat them, overall the combat is definitely something to enjoy! The boss battles are AWESOME! Super sonic never felt so powerful before and the fact it's the same combat as the open zone but stronger, faster and even special interactable cutscenes makes it even better! Though I did wish the parrying in the combat was timed based in hard mode. Overall the gameplay is pretty good! A few things could make it the gameplay even better would be Momentum, Harder enemies, Health bar (You can barely die with rings), parrying being timed based, more to do in the open zone than collecting collectables (for a future sequel I hope!) Overall I'm a super fan for the open zone gameplay! Fishing is actually playable unlike SA1, good choice sonic team!

    Cyberspace Gameplay: (5/10)
    I know this is a low score, but overall cyberspace wasn't as important as the open world since cyberspace acts like special stages to get the Chaos Emeralds. Cyberspace levels when compared to the prior games felt really off, sonic controls completely differently in cyberspace when compared to the open world and can't be customized (C'mon)! Sonic controls badly, the level design is just re-used assets from prior games besides the city stage, levels are extremely short and overall just isn't as good as Generations, Unleashed, Colors!

    Story: (6.5/10)
    This might be one of the lower scores in terms of category but when it comes to frontiers story it is definitely headed to the right direction. The story has a more mature setting and theme which I'm all down for, a big improvement over forces laughable story. The best part in my opinion in the story were the characters interactions, Ian flynn does an amazing job of writing the dialogue and makes it feel so natural, the references were quite nice! But overall though the story is an improvement compare to forces and generations, when comparing the potential of the story compared to prior games Sonic Adventure 2 & Sonic & The Black Knights this story felt rushed, I feel with some extra time and some polishes the story could of been a much higher score. Near end of the story it felt really rushed, I was expecting a nice conclusion with all the characters, was actually interested in Sonic's cyber corruption and was wondering how he would go back to normal, but literally within the same cutscene Amy, Knuckles and Tails just enter inside him and fixes him? Didn't feel like their was tension to his cyber corruption even though it was building through the entire game, the outlines are there for a great story but felt flat for me. (Sonic team please just make Ian Flynn the main writer for the game, I think if he had more control aside from dialogue it would of been amazing!)

    Music: (9/10)
    Sonic has never disappointed with their music, but this game's soundtrack is so good! "Undefeatable" is my current favorite. The open world music as calm instrumental music for each island, which definitely fits the story's mysterious theme, but when the boss's come expect rock and metal! Sadly no crush 40, the music still slaps and definitely worth a listen even outside playing the game.

    Conclusion:
    Overall this is a step in the right direction and I would be lying to say Sonic in an open space isn't fun, It's EXTREMELY fun! Though not a perfect game, this formula with some revisions and add-ons could create an even better game! I hope sonic team doesn't drop this open zone formula, but adds more to the game to make it even better!

    My main points to improve the game for a sequel would be:
    - Post-Game Content
    - Momentum (I know drop dash has it but talking about overall movement)
    - More content besides collecting collectables
    - Other playable characters with different gameplay

Sonic Frontiers is a new step for the Sonic franchise, and one that while not perfect, certainly sets the strongest of foundations for even grander adventures in the future. Frontiers is the first open-zone outing for Sonic, and it can’t be understated how truly different, and good, this game feels.

    From the beginning, you are thrown into a wide, expansive archipelago with Kronos Island as your introduction. The game feels, and looks great. Though it has some issues that can’t be fully excused, as pop-in is, and has been an issue since its first previews. Though one does get used to this overtime. As for Sonic’s control, its by far the best it has been since Sonic Adventure, though a minor nitpick is the jank you can come across when going over certain terrain, as Sonic can feels at times ‘glued’ to the ground, and you will find issues fighting against the games boundaries. Despite this, Sonic controls like a dream, and the added ability to fine tune you’re movement ability and physics is an incredible feature that should become a mainstay of the franchise.

    Going into some negatives, SEGA advertised 5 islands for this game, and while there are many opinions regarding them, it can’t be denied there is effectively 4. A critique of Sonic Forces, being its runtime, is perhaps one SEGA and Sonic Team took too strongly with this game. To explain, Sonic Frontiers is made up of Kronos, Ares, Chaos, Rhea, and Ouranos Islands. Together they are dubbed the ‘Starfall Islands’. Rhea in particular is a standout, being a story segment and quite literally the other half of Kronos that is otherwise inaccessible, yet is dubbed as its own island. This sadly feels quite cheap. Why not make this just a segment where we return to Kronos? (As we literally do). As for Ouranos. Its a fully original island in its terrain, but shares aesthetic with Kronos. I for one find it fitting we return to something alike to Kronos, in a way I can’t explain. But do acknowledge others complaints for this segment.

    Ending off the major negatives, Cyber Space is unfortunately a mixed bag. With controls that don’t feel as good as the overworld, especially in comparison, but really shine in the later levels that contain original level design. Which is where it is to be said that Cyberspace adopts level layouts AND aesthetics from previous titles. Being yet another Sonic title in a row to do this, right after Forces, Generations, etc. Despite this, they’re a fun little bit of content overall and can be quite fun to speedrun.

    Sonic Frontiers shines in all of the new it brings to the franchise, with the expansive environments, and absolutely stellar Titan boss fights found at the end of the islands. These boss fights I feel raise the standard for Sonic the Hedgehog boss battles, with fun gameplay, killer music, and amazing spectacle. So lets hope SEGA will add a means of being able to replay these incredible bosses. Music and presentation is a highlight of Frontiers, and along with the gameplay of the boss fights, this stands as all the more true.

    We end with the story of Sonic Frontiers. One that promised a more mysterious, somber, and melancholy tone. It can be felt from the very beginning that Frontiers delivers on this promise. SAGE is a strong inclusion to the roster of Sonic, and one I’m sure myself and others will want to see return or even become a mainstay in the franchise after her inclusion and writing. Character interactions are a highlight, where we can see the writer, Ian Flynn, truly cared for the integrity of the characters, and calling back to and correcting Sonic lore. Its refreshing to see these characters as themselves again, not simply one note stereotypes and one liner generators. It can be said Frontiers is perhaps a chosen narrative, as one will get more out of the story by going out of their way to seek further side cutscenes to flesh out the world and story further. This story is truly meant for Sonic fans so for myself, I loved this story, but can see why it may not resonate with others. The ending is a point of contention with many, for perhaps feeling weak, or anti-climatic. To me personally I can see these critics, but find that I still felt fulfilment from the ending.

    In closure, Sonic Frontiers is a great game, and an amazing Sonic game. It has its flaws and detractors, but despite the issues I highlighted, I feel Sonic Frontiers deserves a 10/10, for being a new great step in the franchise, and by now my favourite Sonic game. I completed and 100% this game after 26 hours of playtime, and recommend this game to any interested in picking it up.    … Expand

    After getting 100% on the first 2 islands and arriving on the 3rd, i can confidently say this is the evolution of sonic we needed. Wherever you go there are always platforming challenges to do, the combat system is fun, and the cyberspace levels are a good break from the open zone. The titan boss fights are crazy too.

    This game is good, it as good physics, great mechanic and momentum(at some point)
    Maybe the cyberspace aren't the best, but the open world beatifull.
    And the soundtracks are fire

    I waited 5 years for this game and it payed off, the gamrplay is fluid dynamic and very fast, there's always something to do, solving a puzzle, beating some enemies or completing de cyber space levels. Sure the game isn't perfect, there's a lot of minor mistakes especially on the cyber space, but this game js a huge step in the right direcrion for the series

    I genuinely feel this is a FUN game. FUN is the keyword. Its alot of stuff to do and its really fun doing it.
    The game is not to serious about the story, but it sure hell is alot of fun to speed around in the levels. Nothing drags in this game. This sort of game is needed in the context of other games like God Of War, The last of us who is very story driven games.

    Finally, we got the sonic game we needed for a decade, they made this an enjoyable experience and I hope for their next game to go higher and better than this one.

    Sonic Frontiers is by far the best sonic game, it has a beautiful story and fun gameplay. The only flaw I can think of is the pop ins but if you can look past that this game is a must have for any sonic fan new or old

    Epic its just so good the best 3d sonic game it has lots of stuff to do and its just fun you can explore the 5 cool islands and play cyberspace and do little puzzles collect kocos and also some othe cool stuff heck you can even go fishing in this game and dont get me started on the boss fight you gotta try it and the combat system was good too so in conclusion sonic is back

    Oh boy what a great game Sega did a fantastic job with this one the Story is great The enviorments are super immersive I can actually choose how i want Sonic to play like. I've wanted something like this for over 14 years at this point i highly recommend this game to everyone this is the beginning of a new era for sonic.

I find myself replaying these levels over and over again trying to get all of the objectives done while also setting a great record. The game looks beautiful on basically every thing. If you're worried about getting it on something that can make it look great then just don't use an under powered pc or a nintendo switch. If you just want to enjoy the game though then it's perfectly fine if you get it on the nintendo switch. My roommate has it on his switch and it runs perfectly fine! (it just has a graphical down side). I love fighting all of the giant enemies as the small hedgehog via using all of the awesome new skills the sonic has. The game confuses you and makes you think about how all of these things are happening but as you progress you learn more about the past of the island and about the story. I'm not gonna go in depth with the story (I don't want to put out any spoilers) but overall the game is outstanding and I recommend that any one who likes the game play of sonic games to get this game.     There is nothing remotely redeeming about this game. Nothing that even the most die-hard loyal Sonic Fans would or should advocate for. I hope that one day someone who cares enough about this franchise could give us something-anything of substance. A fan can hope, can’t they? A fan can hope.

    Finally, after almost 25years of half measures and mostly mediocre titles, Sonic has finally reached the 3D levels of gameplay it needed to reach. Yes, the pop in is absolutely inexcusable and the ancient gatekeeping grindy methods damage the flow of the game for no reason, but a wonderfully built base exists here, with a highly entertaining adventure in wonderfully melancholic world and a surprisingly well founded story, thankfully clean of Sonic’s annoying 3rd tier friends!
