    I've just got Platinum so I know what the game has to offer ! Truly the best game this year by far in terms of fun, really don't understand the hate it's getting. Deffo recommended

    A refreshing return to the glory days of open world gangster games like GTA San Andreas and saints row 1. The characters are likable and funny but certainly more dry and subtle than older games. I'm about 15/ 20 hours in and while there are a few bugs nothing game breaking or even too distracting. I have found plenty to do and enough difference between activities to break up any monogamy.A refreshing return to the glory days of open world gangster games like GTA San Andreas and saints row 1.     Way better than what people are giving it credit for. Had a blast playing it with mi or hiccups from bugs along the way but overall still a really solid and fun game

    Yeah there are some bugs at launch but the past few years almost every game has had bugs on launch. Other then the bugs this game is pretty good and fun to play, reminds me of the SR3 days but more starting to build up your empire rather then being thrown into the leader roll

    I personally enjoy this game. Its not what saints row used to be don't get me wrong but if you separate it from the rest of the franchise, which is what they have tried to do (not very well). It is a very good game.

    I haven't run into any glitches that people keep mentioning/bringkng up.

    Overall I'm enjoying my time with it.

    I am a saints row fan, I have enjoyed most of them. Even saints row 4 had some things that were good. This one is quickly becoming my favorite. It has laid a foundation for a great new series of Saints. I would give this game a 9 if the annoying bugs are fixed. Which will be anytime soon. Some of the bad reviews are just people upset that it's new people

We all expect the next big thing, something to make our money go even further as times are tight. It’s one of those rare games where I was hooked until there was little content left. Yes, I skipped the collectibles, I’m not a masochist. This. Is. Not. GTA. Saints Row never has been, and never will be. Saints Row is the movie you put on when all your mates come over just because it’s fun to sit, watch, and have a good time with. There is humour here. There is also a ton of irony, which, to be fair, I believe a lot of people mistook as ‘woke’ism. The story isn’t half bad (not that anyone should be here for the story!), and the gameplay loop is a ton of fun. There’s a lot to enjoy here. If you want an epic all out blockbuster affair then you came to the wrong place, and that’s your fault. If you want fun with a ton to do. This is your game. To the devs. Great job. I really, really hope you know that there are plenty of us out there that truly appreciate this game.… Expand

    Really fun game reminds me of how older games used to be fun with an amazing new world that was really worked on every sign and asset was thoughtfully created. the story was funny, and did have a nice touch of modern close roommate friendships with all the debt of society included.     As I’ve now beaten the game I have this to say... It is a wonderful game full of beauty and fun. They should have waited a bit longer to release it and worked on fixing some issues but it turns into an enthralling game. Saints Row IV was the best in the series to me, but Saints Row V has a ton of fun quirks that you shouldn’t miss.     So far I’m enjoying the hell out of this game. There are some bugs here and there but over all a solid experience. Co op is fun, glad the saves transfer over too. Definitely recommend for a fun over the top open world action adventure game.

I saw a few reviews claiming mission bugs but most of it was probably not knowing how the mission worked. I give it 8/10.     Saints row has always been the wacky alternative to GTA. This game continues that trend. After the initial linear start of the game, you are off to start your criminal empire. This is where the fun begins. There is no shortage of activities to enjoy. Not without its bugs but plenty to do and a beautiful map to explore.

The vehicle selection is the best in the series. The developers added a big lake in the middle of the city, just to make the city even grander. This game is incredibly funny, I could barely even control my laughter while playing! The controls are also biblical

Saints row has its old charm of wit and serious moments from customisation from cars to character and weapons it's hard to find something to add to your character.     Yes, the gameplay may seem dated, and it’s a very formulaic Saints Row game. There is no real surprises in terms of gameplay. If you’ve played a Saints Row game, you know what to expect. Missions might be repetitive, but no more so than any other game in the series.

    There’s definitely a wide variety of activities, and plenty of secrets to discover throughout the world. I had fun taking over districts, and discovering hidden things around the map.

    I enjoyed the banter between the main cast, and thought that the story worked well enough for a Saints Row titles. Yes, these are the characters that we got to know in love in the previous titles, but I definitely don’t have any issue with this group. The jokes didn’t all land, but I was definitely amused by things that happened throughout the story. I did have a few bugs pop up here and there, but nothing major. Mainly just vehicles bouncing into the air after hitting small objects, and a weird issue with the camera inside helicopters. The second issue was easily fixed with a reload.

    Overall, I had a blast driving around the city, blowing things up, and being social with my crew. The game may not be for everyone, but make your own judgment - don’t listen to everything you hear.    … Expand

    This has been an excellent game. Its a decent size map to explore with tons of collectibles discoveries and all sorts of different little things you can do you simply have to comb the desert.

It is so like the first part in the series where you had almost nothing to do on the map but gameplay was so addictive. And that's why it's the great reboot.     yeah it has bugs but look up what causes a game to bug aka it's not the developers fault therefore a game can not be judged on bugs and all bugs in this game are very easy to remove aka trying different routes going into the style app simply switching the game on and off etc there realistically nothing to give this game bad marks the game is fun and that's how games should be

    After playing the game for a while and finished the story and still playing it it's still has few issues but this update made the game much better and people don't understand and you have to look thr older saints raw games like 1,2,3 and 3 remastered and this one was the best by far despite the issues but PEOPLE They HAVE A HIGH STANDARD FOR ANY GAMES AND you got to stop thinking this way

Also, I have absolutely ZERO tolerance for woke garbage and that just doesn't exist in this game.eveey single person reviewing this game and saying its "woke" haven't actually played the game at all.     This is a great game. No it is not like the originals, but I have enjoyed every minute of it. The original story was obviously complete long before the 4th game. I have had a blast starting the Saints from the ground up.

    I absolutely love this game. I had to giggle more than once with the crazy stuff going on and it's a great game. I love it more than GTAV, I honestly don't understand the negative reviews, they must be playing another game? I love this game.

    15 hours of play time. I’ve really enjoyed the characters, story, and setting overall. Have had a few small bugs but none too problematic!

    Can say if you enjoy the Saints Row series gameplay you’ll enjoy this. More of what you already loved.

I have to admit the first story quest I thought was kind of cringe but as I played through the game I started to fall in love with the characters and with the open world. People work hard and poor there heart & soul into a creation so that consumers can have entertainment. If this game is not for you then you should just not buy it or return it. The developers stated when they revealed that they were going for a mix between Saints Row 2/The Third, and I think they’ve managed to hit the nail on the head beautifully with this reboot. The tone is not quite as over-the-top ridiculous and wacky as The Third/IV were (though I loved them dearly forI’ve managed to get through most of the story, so I feel comfortable writing a review. The developers stated when they revealed that they were going for a mix between Saints Row 2/The Third, and I think they’ve managed to hit the nail on the head beautifully with this reboot. The tone is not quite as over-the-top ridiculous and wacky as The Third/IV were (though I loved them dearly for it), but doesn’t take itself quite as seriously as 2. This makes your time in Santo Illeso so addictive enjoyable whether you’re tearing through the story to get more time with the lovable cast of new Saints and other supporting characters, or just roaming the city looking for some trouble to get into. And there’s no shortage of things to get up to. Activities make their return in the form of “Criminal Ventures,” including old favorites (like my personal fav Insurance Fraud!) and some new ones, and give you plenty of ways to increase your influence and revenue stream. Additionally there are plenty of ambient activities, such as Hidden Histories, which gives the player a chance to learn more about Santo Illeso’s in-game history as well as pick up a few Easter eggs along the way ;).

    I haven’t run into any of the technical difficulties others are talking about, but I also haven’t been trying co-op or anything like that. Hopefully it’ll get patched up and into a playable state for everyone soon. The driving is okay—some of the vehicles don’t handle that great and there isn’t an off-roading option for everything (which as someone who mainly drives motorcycles, not a huge fan of). The wingsuiting controls are not very intuitive or smooth once you do get the hang of them. Minor nitpicks on an otherwise great game that’s been a lot of fun so far.    … Expand

Student loans, yadda yadda yadda, late stage capitalism, yadda yadda yadda, evil imperialist corporation… If the Steve Buscemi “how do you do fellow kids” scene/meme were a video game, this would be it.

    Driving and shooting is janky af, the vast majority of missions are just “go here, pick up thing, bring it back”, even the main story missions. The “gang building” is but a pale imitation of the first two SR games. Visually the game looks like something from mid-last gen only with volumetric fog and heat distortion effects for the hell of it -- but there's nothing here that can excuse the game's absolutely awful performance. Unstable frame rates, copious frame drops, stutters, extreme texture pop in, missing textures, the list goes on. And the list of bugs I encountered, many minor, some gamebreaking, would be too long to type.

    26 hours played to reach 100% completion and I only bothered because I didn't have anything better to play at the moment. I cannot recommend this game, especially not to Saints Row fans. This is a dumbed down, forgettable, "politically correct" version of the Saints and it feels like a game the original Saints Row would have absolutely pilloried. Saints Row 4 accurately predicted this with their parody signs reading: "REBOOT IS DEATH". This is, indeed, the death of a once fun franchise. Rest in Peace, Third Street Saints.    … Expand

This reboot follows a standard open-world action game template while eschewing most of the wild sense of humor and chaos that made its predecessors (in)famous. Not a "bad" game after several patches, but it remains difficult to recommend at full price.

    Good things I really like are: character creation and that it's possible to change your character body and appearance any time as well as quite good voice acting, sound engineering and solid cut-scenes. Also: model behaviour (although too fast movement is a pain)
    All in all, I deeply regret how this game turned out. There are almost no alternatives to GTA, which is stagerring, based on how many people like this kind of games. One of the only rivals of GTA present a game which is incredibly shallow. The question remains: WHY?    … Expand

But the bad game design and censure are not fixable. Teach people to deal with the world - not make the world boring for everybody just to not hurt these peoples little feelings.

If it just fixed a few important things, it could be a 9/10. For now though, it's still pretty fun. I like the melee in this game and that's a first for a Saints Row game.     Remember, this game was delayed from January to August. There is literally no reason to play this game. The gameplay isn't fun, the visuals are worse than the previous game Saints Row The Third. The story makes no sense and you never end up caring about any of the main characters. The guns feel like toys. I somehow managed to play 3 hours of this nightmare and that's 3 hours too long.

    It's so much fun. Nothing brand new, but also not as bad as the gatekeepers and Karen's have been saying in their hit job of reviews.

    I was happy with the full price, and definitely recommend people buy it when it's on sale.

    Error error error another reboot with no personality what a waste of money and time. Full of glitches. First 15 min i fell through the map. Game got stuck on last level with character on fire in some weird location and tjen saved so when i loaded it back thats all that showed . THE GAME IS BROKEN. i personally dont care to see it fixed.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Qu'on soit clairs : Si vous souhaitez acheter ce reboot de Saints Row en pensant avoir un vrai héritier des opus précédents entre les mains, passez votre chemin.

    Du Gameplay à l'histoire le jeu tient tout sauf ses promesses, On pense diriger un gang quand en réalité on a l'impression d'être le gérant de la MJC du coin.

    Niveau Histoire, tout est sujet à rigolade, ici , vous ne trouverez aucun évènement aussi marquant que ceux de Saints Row 2 ou 3. Les membres fondateurs du groupe ont plus la dégaine d'acteurs de sitcoms des années 2000 que de vrais gangsters. Et même dans le peu de quêtes qu'offrent le mode histoire, il n'y aura qu'une ou deux missions qui seront vraiment mémorables. Mot qui d'ailleurs, est tout le contraire de l'ensemble des personnages que vous allez croiser dans le jeu.

    Concernant le gameplay, honnêtement je ne saurais par ou commencer :
    - Les NPCs ont encore que deux réponses en tête quand ils vous voient : fuir ou tirer pour les plus braves d'entre eux
    - Les multiples bugs qui vous font sortir de la map ou qui vous bloquent sur des missions du mode HISTOIRE
    - La physique des voitures, car bien qu'elles soient assez agréable à conduire (j'ai bien aimé les drift en Raycaster), elles restent sacrément horribles à prendre en main à partir du moment ou vous utiliserez un grappin pour attacher un autre truc à eux
    - Le système de BARRE DE VIE ??!? Dans un jeu OPEN WORLD, Sérieux ?? C'est insupportable de devoir vider 2-3 chargeurs pour un seul ennemi

    Alors bien sur vous pourrez toujours modifier la résistance des ennemis, ou bien même masquer les barres de vie des voitures/ennemis, ça reste un ajout assez plaisant, mais de ce j'ai pu tester ça rendra le jeu soit trop facile, soit trop dur.

    Malheureusement je ne pourrai pas vous parler de mon expérience sur la Co-op parce que déjà je n'ai nullement l'envie d'imposer ce semblant de "jeu" à mes proches, mais aussi parce que je vois pas l'intérêt de visiter une map aussi vide et sans intérieur qu'on soit deux ou pas.

    Donc si vous souhaitez jouer en espérant avoir un Saints Row 2,3 voire au pire du pire 4, vous vous trompez gravement.

    Saint Row es un juego plagado de errores desde la última actualización, lo errores son los siguientes :

    As someone who plays saints row for the first time in my life I have to say i did now like it very much. I wanted to start the series but then i heard about the reboot so I decided to wait. I count not have made a biggest mistake. The humor is dull and kind of woke it is like amy schumer wrote all the jokes. Of course it had some good jokes in all of the campain but it was not worth it.As someone who plays saints row for the first time in my life I have to say i did now like it very much. The humor is dull and kind of woke it is like amy schumer wrote all the jokes. Of course it had some good jokes in all of the campain but it was not worth it. The shooting and combat is absolutely terrible. The driving is just ok. The world is dull. Also a lot of mechanics feel like they are the worst version of other games for example driving is like mafia 3. On the plus side the graphics are not the best but are quite good, there are not any microtransactions and i have encountered almost not bugs.

    It is just the definition of mediocre. As a hardocre SR2 fan, literally top 5 favorite games of all time. There is enough classic SR "things" in this game to make you have some good moments. But it is just the absolute bare minimum. Not to mention for every cool mission, fun activity or spontaneous moment. There is a dozen other things that make me roll my eyes, cringe or just want to turnIt is just the definition of mediocre. As a hardocre SR2 fan, literally top 5 favorite games of all time.     I bet the game. Over 80% completion rate. Did all the side ventures and most of the side activities. Explored a great amount etc. I have no interest to play the game again. Which is sad because Santo Illeso is beautiful. But it is just so damn shallow. Just like the game as a whole, its wasted potential.

    the game is an absolute blast, but its still got some bugs, easy to soft-lock your char by using your ability's too fast and crashes sometimes if played for too long, its not the end of the game, its still a lot of fun and is just, more so an inconvenience, there's some physics bugs that can be fun but clearly although the game feels not fully play-tested, all and all its a good fun gamethe game is an absolute blast, but its still got some bugs, easy to soft-lock your char by using your ability's too fast and crashes sometimes if played for too long, its not the end of the game, its still a lot of fun and is just, more so an inconvenience, there's some physics bugs that can be fun but clearly although the game feels not fully play-tested, all and all its a good fun game that just needs some patching, minor patching, not major, just fixing soft-locks mostly, and adding the ability to land on big tucks, I don't mind the random car launches, that's saints row for you, leaving bugs untouched like that cause its silly and non serious and sometimes useful, all and all just needs patching on the more serious issues… Expand

Characters are enjoyable, side quests are fun [especially Larping] and overall kept me well entertained. Nice to not always have to deal with the **** weapons or the extreme perversion, but something still violent, vulgar, and funny. If you are skeptical wait for a sale, but for me at least, I don't regret dropping the full price tag I paid since I still received my overall enjoyment.… Expand

I love that the game is the 'toned down' version of GTA because I can't stand all the n-word this, n-word that BUT this new installment definitely is NOT Saint's Row. Why? Because the characters are mostly flat, the stakes are boring, and the wild, nutty stuff from the previous games is completely absent! Simply put, YOUI've been a fan of Saint's Row since the beginning of the franchise. Almost like a massive THE SAINTS gang is now more like a bunch of show-off-maximalistic-broke-students that played too much GTA and try to be gangsters. Driving awful, story awful, shooting awful.     Where to start with this game? We have transitioned to an era of gaming where every old franchise we grew up to love and spend thousands of hours playing has been rebooted and ruins the entire franchise. The graphics are absolute garbage. Models don't render in properly and the environment just looks as if it was created for the PS3/PS4 transition, not something for 2022. The characters are cringe, and just there to make this next generation of Saints seem hip.... when the game is about gangsters. Whoever has done the writing on the plot is also terrible. I've seen writing that far surpasses the entire script of this video game written by high schoolers. A month later and the game is still a buggy mess. Its no wonder it didn't launch on Steam at first. The game would have been decimated. Goodbye Saints Row. I will miss the old You. o7… Expand
