    Too much preco was not delivered. Just DeepSilver's charade of making the pc game release exclusive on their platform 4 hours before delivery, to sell Notorious packs at $90 has put me off.
    I was able to test the game for a few hours on Ps and it calmed my hype.
    I put a zero point to DeepSilver and a place in my list of game publisher to boycott. I'm fed up with all their ****

Anyone praising this game has no knowledge of past saints titles, likes low quality games or is a troll and/or casual.

    This game is broken, lacks depth with npcs, cant rob stores, the vehicles undersides look WORSE than a 2008 game.

    The saddest part is, santo ileso the city has so much potential, the desert has potential, the car damage models are amazing (scratched paint marks etc)
    but all the minor positives are massively overtaken by all of the negatives. and boy oh boy the game is 99% abysmal at best.
    when will game companies understand majority of gamers want old school games and quality, gen z just wants fortnite low quality dopamine hits. and dopamine hit games flop.

    edit- i still cannot get myself to even complete the game, i have been gaming since 1998 and ive had my fair share of bad games, and you as a gamer can tell if the devs put in some love, soul and effort in a bad game, i can overlook alot in a bad game and still find some hope and light if you will.     Если во второй части концепт был крут, в третей миссия с самолетом (я до сих пор помню как рубился целыми днями). В 4 части, симуляция, борьба с пришельцами и общий веселый мир (я даже со стула помню упал потому что какая-то шутка меня взорвала), то тут ничего нет. Персонаж бегает по миру первые пару часов без какого-либо обоснования. А в сумме с теми проблемами которые есть включая малый размер карты. Сложность игры тоже смешная, на нормале в меня пулемет на машине стреляет и мне все равно.

    Я бы поставил 3 или 10 балов если бы это была Sains row, но от Sans row тут только некоторые отсылки и фишки

    It seems that Volition spent more time ensuring LGBTQ representation and arguing with fans over twitter than, oh I don't know, fixing bugs, developing a better physics engine/gameplay, halfway passable writing, or fixing the atrocious main characters.

Turns out being able to aim down sights and access your weapon-wheel are pretty essential for bombastic comedy violence. Once I got that sorted out, it was a mostly fun time. There's just something zen about throwing yourself inIt's just not that good, either. My score would actually be closer to a 6, but I experienced severe bugs that made progressing in the campaign almost impossible. Turns out being able to aim down sights and access your weapon-wheel are pretty essential for bombastic comedy violence. Once I got that sorted out, it was a mostly fun time. There's just something zen about throwing yourself in front of traffic after using a mobile meth-lab as a wrecking ball in the Nevada desert. I'll be honest, I skipped almost every cutscene. The less you pay attention to the writing, the more fun you'll have. My Boss was a posh British lady and I thought she was pretty great, but the rest of the Saints were all garbage. The enemies fared a bit better, but they're just less fun versions of the SR3 gangs. t's better than Agents of Mayhem, I guess...right? Probably not, actually, but I DID finish SR22 and quit AOM in about 3 hours. Wait for a couple stability patches and a sale.… Expand

    A buggy embarrassing mess with an empty open-world ad the "villains" and protagonist look like a bunch of people who hang out at coffee shops 5 days out of the week and cry when they have to drink whole milk. They're just unlikable characters and it stings the soul when the game tries to make them seem like "heroes.

    It was clear to me from the trailer this was going to be bad but despite my misgivings I wanted to give it a go given how much I liked the previous versions. But almost everything about this game spits in the face of previous games.

    All the characters in this are annoying prats that I wanted to die. There is nothing of the style, glamor or larger then life appeal that the other games in the series had. The men are either total wimps or fat lumps and none of the women are attractive.

I personally think this franchise peaked at SR2, and while I enjoyed SR3 & SR4 it was the beginning of the end for Saints Row. Abandoning the tone of SR2 which balanced over the top gameplay with a gritty story, in favor the extreme over the top nature of the future games was a huge mistake. Now theMan this one was of my favorite game franchises, I've played every game in the series. I personally think this franchise peaked at SR2, and while I enjoyed SR3 & SR4 it was the beginning of the end for Saints Row. Abandoning the tone of SR2 which balanced over the top gameplay with a gritty story, in favor the extreme over the top nature of the future games was a huge mistake. Now the reboot is here, and it's a buggy, outdated, terribly written mess. It feels completely soulless, and objectively to me it's the weakest entry in the franchise. And don't get me started on the story and characters, they PALE in comparison to SR2. Overall, I'm concerned for the future of Saints Row there's a lot they can improve upon in a potential sequel, but that's if even sells well enough for them to make a sequel 5/10.… Expand

    Really disappointed with this game. I've been a fan since the original Saints Row and purchased this game blind thinking it would at least be at the quality of previous game. Honestly, it's embarrassing. I'm annoyed that I wasted $60 on this. Graphics are bad, gameplay sucks, story is boring, and not a single interesting character. I wish I could get a refund.

I changed all the sensitivity in the settings in game, but that made no difference. Also feels the sensitivity randomly changes when shooting on foot.

    I couldn't really get into the story. It feels out of place for a saints row game. A group of college kids needing money to pay rent and pay off student loans. The way they act doesn't feel like they belong in a gang. They don't even seem like the type of people who would go out robbing banks and killing people.

    Then on top of that, the developers bash people who criticize their game. Any company who blames their customers instead of themselves, or at least acknowledge the backlash and try to make it right, is an instant no go for me. I refunded this game. I may pick it up later when it's on sale, has it's dlcs, and bugs worked out.    … Expand

    This game has received a lot of criticism in this first week, and I can see where a lot of it comes from. I got one have really enjoyed it! The customization is great, the world doesn’t feel soulless to me, and humor is completely subjective but I enjoyed it all! I recommend giving it a shot and keeping an open mind.

    I came around to the idea of the reboot. I accepted that we was never going to go back to the Saints Row we all knew and loved. I decided let’s give the devs a chance to do something new. Even still is was disappointed….. Story: Where to start with this abomination. Cringy characters and dialogue are the biggest pain when playing through the story. At points your sat in confusion and agony with what the characters are waffling on about. The humour is for “woke” people, the missions are repetitive and you can tell little imagination has gone into them. The story is a little short and key parts are brushed over. It feels like it was rushed. I can’t excuse the writing of this game. It shows how out of touch and boring these devs are.

    Gameplay: Eeek! From health bars everywhere you look to AI glitches this is probably the worst open world gameplay you will see. Laws of physics do not exist in this world. You can blow a car up by sneezing. AI are stupid and broken most of the time. The wing suits feel odd and out of place. Overall it feels like a chore to play. The map: The setting of the map is actually pretty cool. Graphics are fine and art style is nice. Overall the map is one of the biggest positives about the whole game. However, there are some key problems that need to be talked about. First of all the streets are so empty. It’s like hardly anyone lives in the city or they are just hermits. Also, some buildings that look like you should be able to go into, you CAN’T. They had something good going with the map but just fell short with a few details. Customisation: Lots of interesting character, car and weapon customisation! You can create some really funny character designs. Lots of options are of course a good thing and this is probably the only thing in the game they sort of got right. In conclusion:
    I don’t want to be mean to the devs but oh my I have to be. They had so much time to make this game even delaying it but they still couldn’t refine it. They ignored the core fan base and their wishes. The devs are obviously more interested in pandering to wokeness and diversity than actually making a game that is a success. They let their own agendas and idealogical beliefs dictate their games. It’s such a disappointment reality but there’s nothing we can do. I’d advice against buying this game at full price. :(    … Expand

    2- Personajes horteras, hipster, cutres, modernitos.
    3- Historia y diálogo muy olvidables, irrelevante (mi hija de 5 años se monta películas mucho mejores).
    4- Mecánicas de juego del 2015.
    5- Bugs y glichs POR TODOS LADOS.
    6- Corrección política por todos lados.
    7- Propaganda política.
    En definitiva esto es el primer (y espero que sea el último) Saints Row que es un ANTI SAINTS ROW.

    Absolute garbage, Saints Row titles always had re-playability... this just gives me a headache. When I play video games it's to escape world issues, and this just made me feel I wasted my time and money.
    If you notice on the map there are three roads that lead outside the map, most likely you will travel to certain "new" locations to end the gangs actual hide out.     If you notice on the map there are three roads that lead outside the map, most likely you will travel to certain "new" locations to end the gangs actual hide out. To eventually root them out or to become part of the saints. My reasoning for this is at end of certain missions they will call you and say "Call me when you want to take out (said gang)" but you never have that option. Overall, this was probably meant to be in the game at launch, but they focused on other things just to pass it off as DLC. Story is lacking, hopefully this will fix things. speaking on that, this isn't confirmed and an opinion. but with the bugs and lack of content other than the customization, can you tell me this is an actual game? Saints Row wasn't known for customization until SR3 it was known for the story. We hit the peak in this series back for SR2.     Let's start off with we were told this would be a reboot not a watered down game. The story was very boring with no real substance. It feels like pieces of the game were just thrown together. This is especially aggravating after the release was pushed back "in order to polish things up". The writing is lazy all around. I personally didn't experience any laughs during the entire story. It's easy to tell this game was broken down into groups.

    You get the point here nothing was fine tuned. I know all you super intense game enthusiast are running with the " New games come with bugs" debate. I'm just not going for it man it's been announced pushed back and still sucks.

    Character bashing time:

    Eli is a nerd that enjoys larping and listening to pep talks by pyramid scheme public speakers. Other than that he's a full on waste of space. He doesn't show up with any helpful advice when you're battling you opposition. He doesn't hack anything he just gives a sh*tty outline of a business.

    I can care less that Kev doesn't wear a shirt he was an idol of you pay attention to character design a few of his former gang members sport a shirtless look. It's the fact that he's a chef that doesn't poison any of his enemies with any clever one liners. All we know is that he's an orphan who didn't get a toy when he was younger. Also that he's a douchey dj that has played on the sexual spectrum lame.

    Finally my least favorite member of the ain't's

    Neenah is supposed to be the epitome of a wheel woman there in a flash. Even in the ending cutscene of the tutorial you see her save your a** with her driving skills. Only one problem in 99% of the game she doesn't F**king drive! In the mission that revolves around saving her project car you have to drive her around. Her character actually had potential but it was wasted.

    The Gangs have no cutscenes or backstory which is rare for this series. Did they get scrapped?

    Los Panteros have cool muscle cars and a fearless leader named Sergio. Outside of that who are they though why did they form. How did Sergio become the leader what is the history behind that.

    The Idols have the best design to me even though they are kind of copy & paste of the Deckers. The Collective make one appearance in a cutscene but none of their faces are ever exposed. So it really feels like a flash in the pan.

    Marshall is a copy & paste of STAG from SR3 there is no denying it. The VTOL gave that away in the intro. They are somehow able to operate in a more effective way than the cops in this game. The police feel non existent compared to Marshall. Still no back story and it seems as if you can get a final showdown with Atticus if you choose not to shoot him. Doesn't matter to me because I don't have the patience to play through again.

    No options to replay cutscenes, missions, or cheat codes either this game needs another title

    The bugs and repetitive side missions would have been excusable if the main storyline was worth while. When the church is found it's done with no real moment of purpose. When your character looks up at the wall and says "The Saints" everyone else is just like sure. Talk of student loans, and 401k's was just cringe. You play video games and indulge in other forms of entertainment media to escape real life issues just for a few hours. Not to be reminded about them so you can go "oh man tHiS GaMe SurE iS RelaTaBle hyuck!".

    I don't make video games so I would like to say good job to the team at volition for getting the game out. Unfortunately the people who wrote and reviewed the final story really need to have their work double checked.

    This game was more a** than strip club on a Friday night in Atlanta Georgia with two donkey's guarding the door.

    The game feels clunky at times and just rushed, there's clipping, and character pop in issues, other times my character is stuck in t-pose position. I really wanted to like this game. But it doesent do any justice to the franchise and I wish it could be written off as a bad ending to saints row 4's zinyak world ending disaster. And just have the original saints come in and murder the whole cast and start over from there. An entertaining romp that is to tame to live up to what is expected out of a Saints Row game, mired with inconvenient mapping and a world that never feel full enough to justify it's space, keep this game from being more than a momentary diversion.

I was held back on trophy progress due to a bug that will no longer track most of my challenges. The game is littered with little bugs that are in no breaking the game but there are a few that may stagger progress. For example, losing access to inputs on the controller.

    A few weird design choices as well: first venture can be completed immediately after meeting a character but you will not get the full hourly pay increase(even though the game tells you that you have unlocked it) until after completing the story quest that unlocks ventures......

    The story was mediocre at best, but I enjoyed it enough to complete it. The characters were a bit eh and I probably wouldn't care for them at all without the very few character story side missions.

    Gameplay is repetitive, the aiming feels weird and recoil is extreme. Driving is OK but very bare bones. Explosions and over the top weapons are fun though.

    All in all it's an OK game at best and I probably won't jump back into it even after bug fixes are released.

    Gat out of hell had more effort put into it... the story sucked the characters were worse and the gameplay was somehow less responsive than Fallout 76. I tried to look past the story and characters and try to enjoy the game part... 10 hours in and I already requested Xbox for a refund.

    It felt like the other side of saints row 4 very lacking of fun and Intrigue . Like they just flip the coin and went to the other extreme. Lots of bugs freezing when I am customizing missing my car. Camera angles getting screwy.

    Wow. I wanted to like this game, especially after I saw people review bombing it for being woke. I've played and loved every Saints Row game, even the first one, and after finishing this one I have to say it easily steals the spot of worst Saints Row game.

I've played and loved every Saints Row game, even the first one, and after finishing this one I have to say it easily steals the spot of worst Saints Row game.

    I don't really care about preachyness and wokeness in video games unless it gets absolutely overwhelming and becomes the entire point of the narrative (Life is Strange 2), and I have to say I honestly didn't see much of that in this. Other than the main characters being a strategically multi-racial group of annoying millennial hipsters, that is, and I only even noticed that because all the angry reviews had me looking for it going in. People have mentioned the character creator, and they're right, its terrible. Its nearly impossible to make a female character that doesnt look transgender. I don't know why this is, but I doubt it's intentional since the creator is so bad compared to the previous games. This game isn't propaganda, its just bad.

    For one the shooting system is almost identical to the one in Saints Row 2 made over a decade ago. The guns give little feedback and are annoyingly unresponsive making the whole thing feel janky and unresponsive. This was fine in Saints Row 3 and 4 when there was a ton of outlandish weapons to keep your mind off it, but none of that is present here.

    The humor is bad. There are definitely some laughs to be had, the writing isn't completely terrible all the time, it does have its moments. But a lot of that will be lost if you don't pick one of the 2 good voices available for your character, both of which are female. The voices this time are just really bad. The masculine black guy voice that I built my character around in all of the games from 2 onward is now gone, replaced by this whiny high pitched voice that sounds like Urkel from that tv show and its just terrible. Thank god the game lets you reconfigure the entire appearance of your character whenever you want.

    The missions are ok, but they are repetitive and most of the open world activities are copies of the ones in previous games. This is fine, they are still a lot of fun, and the crazy over-the-top violence and explosions are still here, but lacking the humor of the first games. Sadly, the main story is nowhere near as creative as the original series, and it's also stupidly short, and heavily padded by requiring you to do busywork. For instance, in SR 2 dealing with the police anti-gang task force takes almost half the game, and its awesome. Here its just one mission, taking 5 minutes out of your day to intimidate an entire police force into submission.

    The villains actually had potential, but they squandered it by loosing focus and basically forgetting about them by the end of the game. They introduce an entirely new villain in the last mission of the game. I'm not joking there, they seriously invent a new villain for you to kill just to resolve this disaster of a story and it is even more stupid than it sounds.

    I don't know what happened here. There are some actually good ideas, like the new powers you get for leveling up. More grounded and practical than the ones in 4, the progression system could have been awesome but unfortunately they didn't add any more than that. Combine those skills with the stat buying system from 3 and 4 and this part of it would have come out great. Car and gun upgrading is breathtakingly simple, there are no specific upgrades you can get like in 2,3 and 4, just pump money into the gun to boost its stats. Boring as hell and way more primitive than the previous games. Its poorly optimized and crash prone (I had to restart it at least once every 4 hours, not enough to make me quit, but annoying), but no amount of extra development time would have fixed the problems evident in the gameplay and story.

    Despite the failure this game is sure to be, I hope they keep making SR games, but when they do, it needs to be another reboot. We can't have a direct sequel progressing out of this, there are a few likeable characters, but volition has shown before that they can do MUCH better than this.    … Expand

    Played the game on pc for eight hours. My profile and save data got corrupted three times. I had to start over from the beginning of the game each time. Even after downloading two patch updates.

    The vehicle and weapon customization are just barely passable, but even that's pathetic.

    Top to bottom, this is a FAILURE. Go back to the drawing board Volition. You've tried and COMPLETELY FAILED at making a game. No one who's actually played the Saints Row series wanted this, and now you're paying the price for COLOSSAL FAILURE.

    Make a story actually worth enjoying and characters that aren't some cross combination of a crappy ABC and CW show. We told you what we want. We don't want YOUR take on Saints Row. We want the Saints Row that actually looked like it could compete with Grand Theft Auto.    … Expand

    Despite the disaster of a trailer, after playing an admittedly fun and somewhat hard demo at gamescom, I went into this game with an open mind, if not a positive predisposition. The story on first glance does not seem as bad as the trailer makes it out to be, it's very whacky, over-the-top usual saints row stuff. However, the game is so filled with bugs that it's simply unenjoyable.     This game is a complete mess, its poorly storyboarded, poorly designed, poorly characterized, and is completely lazy in every single aspect.

    The radio stations are complete trash. no reggae AGAIN?

    The characters are cardboard cutouts that are entirely characterized by the most surface level cliche they exemplify. These characters could be saved, but that would require a narrative team that actually cared for good storytelling. or rather, any storytelling.

    Why am I being told neena really cares about some piece of crap car that you never see before the relevant main mission? Why is the nerdy guy whos name escapes me nothing more than nerdy guy #454351? Why is kev a jersey shore stereotype?

    Where are all the cool weapons? where are all the fun activities? where is saints row? because it isnt here.

    I really enjoy this game. I did not have major bugs except in the mission entitled Good Cop/Bad Cop. I had a weird zooming issue when entering a helicopter for the mission. The main characters reminded me of the characters from television show, New Girl, and I was all for it. Some of the storytelling elements are choppy, but I had a very good time with this game overall. It definitely feltI really enjoy this game.
