    Out of all the games i played, cyberpunk, fallout 76, no mans sky day 1, i just had to create a metacritic account to give this a solid 0 stars. I have played all the saints row games. Loved SR2. But this is by far worse experience in gaming i had to date. Wish i could refund this

    Pleasing the critics was their main goal, and even they hate it, and it shows because the game is boring, buggy, and it has an empty world. The combat has not evolved since the previous entry and the rival gangs have 00 depth.

    If you notice on the map there are three roads that lead outside the map, most likely you will travel to certain "new" locations to end the gangs actual hide out. My reasoning for this is at end of certain missions they will call you and say "Call me when you want to take out (said gang)" but you never have that option. Overall, this was probably meant to be in the game at launch, but they focused on other things just to pass it off as DLC. Story is lacking, hopefully this will fix things. speaking on that, this isn't confirmed and an opinion. but with the bugs and lack of content other than the customization, can you tell me this is an actual game? Saints Row wasn't known for customization until SR3 it was known for the story. We hit the peak in this series back for SR2. Please do not buy the game, if you feel you need to, go replay Saints row 1 (2006) and Saints Row 2.    … Expand

    This game is buggy as hell. The story isn’t even intriguing. It doesn’t even feel like Saints Row but a cheap knock-off that lacks imagination, ingenuity, and talent. Speechless. Mad I preordered it, would love a refund and my time back.

    Game in a terrible state, never had so many gamebreaking bugs, not even in cyberpunk. Maybe okay-ish if released in 2016 but even then not a game that should be sold for a triple-a full price.
    everyone that bought this crap should get a refund maybe even an excuse for wasting precious time in life.
    And sad to realize how many good ratings you can buy nowadays for a **** game.

    Let's start off with we were told this would be a reboot not a watered down game. The story was very boring with no real substance. It feels like pieces of the game were just thrown together. This is especially aggravating after the release was pushed back "in order to polish things up". The writing is lazy all around. I personally didn't experience any laughs during the entire story. It's easy to tell this game was broken down into groups.

    You get the point here nothing was fine tuned. I know all you super intense game enthusiast are running with the " New games come with bugs" debate. I'm just not going for it man it's been announced pushed back and still sucks.

    Character bashing time:

    Eli is a nerd that enjoys larping and listening to pep talks by pyramid scheme public speakers. Other than that he's a full on waste of space. He doesn't show up with any helpful advice when you're battling you opposition. He doesn't hack anything he just gives a sh*tty outline of a business.

    I can care less that Kev doesn't wear a shirt he was an idol of you pay attention to character design a few of his former gang members sport a shirtless look. It's the fact that he's a chef that doesn't poison any of his enemies with any clever one liners. All we know is that he's an orphan who didn't get a toy when he was younger. Also that he's a douchey dj that has played on the sexual spectrum lame.

    Finally my least favorite member of the ain't's

    Neenah is supposed to be the epitome of a wheel woman there in a flash. Even in the ending cutscene of the tutorial you see her save your a** with her driving skills. Only one problem in 99% of the game she doesn't F**king drive! In the mission that revolves around saving her project car you have to drive her around. Her character actually had potential but it was wasted.

    The Gangs have no cutscenes or backstory which is rare for this series. Did they get scrapped?

    Los Panteros have cool muscle cars and a fearless leader named Sergio. Outside of that who are they though why did they form. How did Sergio become the leader what is the history behind that.

    The Idols have the best design to me even though they are kind of copy & paste of the Deckers. The Collective make one appearance in a cutscene but none of their faces are ever exposed. So it really feels like a flash in the pan.

    Marshall is a copy & paste of STAG from SR3 there is no denying it. The VTOL gave that away in the intro. They are somehow able to operate in a more effective way than the cops in this game. The police feel non existent compared to Marshall. Still no back story and it seems as if you can get a final showdown with Atticus if you choose not to shoot him. Doesn't matter to me because I don't have the patience to play through again.

    No options to replay cutscenes, missions, or cheat codes either this game needs another title

    The bugs and repetitive side missions would have been excusable if the main storyline was worth while. When the church is found it's done with no real moment of purpose. When your character looks up at the wall and says "The Saints" everyone else is just like sure. Talk of student loans, and 401k's was just cringe. You play video games and indulge in other forms of entertainment media to escape real life issues just for a few hours. Not to be reminded about them so you can go "oh man tHiS GaMe SurE iS RelaTaBle hyuck!".

    I don't make video games so I would like to say good job to the team at volition for getting the game out. Unfortunately the people who wrote and reviewed the final story really need to have their work double checked.

    This game was more a** than strip club on a Friday night in Atlanta Georgia with two donkey's guarding the door.

There's not nearly enough customization options in the game. While I miss the old cast, that's not what's ruined this game for me. The overall lackluster and unfinished feel of the game are what ruin it for me.

    The game feels clunky at times and just rushed, there's clipping, and character pop in issues, other times my character is stuck in t-pose position. I really wanted to like this game. But it doesent do any justice to the franchise and I wish it could be written off as a bad ending to saints row 4's zinyak world ending disaster. And just have the original saints come in and murder the whole cast and start over from there. And why is there still no multi-player, sr1 and 2 had some of the best multi-player, modes and matches around. I wish they would fix this franchise before it too late.    … Expand

    The game looks disgusting, the controls are terrible, it feels like I didn’t buy an AAA title, but a game for a mobile phone with a bunch of glitches that make it even impossible to pass it without 100 reloads, terribly disappointed.

Main mission can be completed in 5-6 hours the other 90 % of the game is pure bloat BS missions. 14 Toxic Wates trucks to deliver!     More bugs than cyberpunk. Literally the worst writing in the history of writing. Repetitive. Truly awful game/gunplay. Anyone who thinks this is good is on some cope.

    Worst game of the year, horrible physics, bugs, lots of bugs. The game bugs almost finishing 15/20 min mission and you have to start all over again, repetitive and boring missions. Worst game of the year!

I have never played a game that gave me physical pain and is a insult to the saints row series. the story was horrific and the ending was just bad and rushed garbage. The characters are extremely bad and they are forgettable and just several pieces of paper. they said the open world was going to be alive but they were lying, the open world is even more bland then Stillwater. The gameplay was awful, the shooting feels spongey and the gameplay overall is awful. Overall, the game is the worst game I've played this year and it makes Saints Row IV And Gat Out of Hell look like masterpieces. I do not recommend this game, even if you are a fan of Saints Row… Expand

    i dont know who Volition hired to design this game, but they seriously saw one of the raunchiest irreverent adult humor games and said "what if we toned it down to G rated and made it super Politically Correct, yet absolutely no sex positive themes at all" and seriously though it would sell fine... thanks to this volition has been bought up by 2k and successfully ended the series as it once was...

    You just picked this up from the pawn shop for $10 how come I feel like I've been robbed where do I start first off this game is not saints row I don't care what the title says the characters we're horrible unrelatable the story garbage even since they've been updating it there's still a lot of bugs in the game don't buy it

    Got the game for free via PS Plus monthly games. Got bored by the EULA. Deleted the game without finishing the opening cutscene.
