    Everything i wanted from a new Resi it's there, incredible atmosphere, fantastic variety of enemies and bosses, game looks and sound asolutely fantastic on PS5, BRAVO capcom, this is THE best RE since RE2, i'm already dying to play Resi9!!!

    Este juego me parece una maravilla, esta muy bien hecho y eso se nota. Hacia tiempo que no me sentia tan cómodo jugando a un Resident Evil, en pocos momentos se hace pesado y tiene una historia muy buena con unos jefes muy entretenios. Mi nota es un 9, me parece una nota justa.

    Crafted to perfection.

    Games don't need to be long to give you a thorough appreciation for the developers, the scenery, the atmosphere, the story and gameplay. Resident Evil 8 feels very polished, the puzzles are intuitive and not annoying, there's a great factor of exploration and getting valuables, which is very rewarding when you manage to find that hidden treasure. The story was    Crafted to perfection.

    Take the best parts from R4 and R7, add inspiration from P.T., Alien Isolation, Silent Hill - mix all together with great maps design, unexpected turns in story plot and a lot of unique enemy types - this is a recipe of RE8 success.

    Disappointing game
    Do you still remember Dead Space 2? Because that's how this game seems to me.
    Everything that was too scary and violent is removed and it degenerates into an action game with a scary element.
    I can also play CoD in zombie mode.

I think 7 and 8 are the best so far I've been there when the first resi came out and for their time those where great resi 4 is still great today but let's face it 7 and 8 are the best they changed resi for the better, I even liked the part where you played Chirs Redfield and just blew the **** out of every monster you came across which was the exact thing I hated about resi 5 and especially 6. Also that baby part with the puppet master just gave me silent hill p.t. vibes. They almost **** it with the you were dead all along, but it did make sense so I give it a pass. 10/10 Haven't enjoyed a game like this since resi 7, we need more horror games like this. Now all it needs is a online coop mode.… Expand

    The plot is AWESOME, in my opinion.     All of the characters are interesting and I'm glad there is mystery behind many of the characters, while giving you enough to understand what their motives are.

    Man, and the 'family above all else' narrative is pretty sweet, in both a cool way and a heart felt way.

    This game is scary, but there is a specific part of the game that is pure psychological horror and it's scary as hell.

    Uh, just buy it, ok? I am giving this a 10/10 because of replayability and I really do believe the game is all around great.

There are some challenges you can do in order to play longer, but in my opinion, the main story should be longer. I personally would enjoy Resident Evil 9 a lot more if the main story was roughly 20 hours long instead of 9 or 10.

    I wouldn't want them to stretch out the story, forcefully make it longer therefore boring, I'd want them to try and make a longer story while keeping the fun of it. Or at least make it cheaper because it's a little too expensive in my taste. Solo games nowadays should last between 20 to 40 hours in my opinion. Other than the game length, I don't have any issue with the game, everything was explained, I like the new mechanic introduced (or should I say IntroDuked). All in all, it's a great game, I wouldn't say it's worth the 70 euros if you're planning on playing for a while but if you're in it for the story, then maybe.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. re village is a good game I loved the Design of the weapons and the places the art direction is beautiful the gameplay is similar to re7 but with better Techniques but the game has its issues the first thing is the characters some of them were disappointing like the lady dimitrescu they put her in every trailer And they hyped us about her then we only see her in the beginning and her boss fight is not very good and the other character is the ugly guy his boss fight was bad he traps you in a small area and you just have to shoot anywhere and hope he dies and the other issue is the story it has some issue or maybe I didn’t understand it but overall it’s a good game… Expand

    What a great game! The levels are fun, the boss fights are great, the horror is pretty well done and unexpected, there is this one part scared the crap out of me, and the story is interesting. Overall, there are still minor flaws, but it's still a very good game to play.

I'm shocked Capcom felt confident to emulate a lot    RE Village has its moments, but there just isn't enough here to love.

    It has RE4's action focus with a lot of enemies, some bosses, and a merchant that lets you sell treasure and buy upgrades. Other times its puzzles, very scripted, slow paced horror nonsense reminiscent from RE7; that slows the pace down and will make replays dull.

    I'm shocked Capcom felt confident to emulate a lot of RE4 but couldn't bring over the same satisfying combat as well; because the shooting in RE8 is pretty abysmal.

    - Movement is too slow and restrictive for a game that sometimes throws a handful of fast moving enemies that take up your entire screen.
    - FOV is too narrow to even get an idea whats happening around you most of the time.
    - Weapon sounds are underwhelming and lack punch.
    - Enemies have barely any hit reactions, so Its like I'm shooting with a pellet gun.
    - Didn't take the opportunity to add evasive moves, grab counters, melee attacks, etc to flesh out the combat potential.

    I see no benefit to the first person view when it comes to the combat. The camera and movement are better suited for a slow paced horror game; with some enemies and arenas that would benefit if the combat was faster paced and snappy like action RE games. It just doesn't match well at all; Village is two types of games being forced into each other.

    Even with the underwhelming combat, the middle section of the game is still great fun. I had a lot of enjoyment upgrading and getting most of the treasures. RE games shine when the player is left to their own pace. Little cutscenes, little dialogue, you are immersed in the gameplay loop and exploration. However it will probably take you about 8 hours to beat the game, so that middle section feels a bit too brief sadly; the game overall feels like it ended too quickly.

    If I can sum up the experience it would be very fun in some places, but overall forgettable. Nothing really happens that's worth talking about. Story is lackluster, characters are underdeveloped/forgettable, music is serviceable, tone has no consistency, voice acting is hit or miss, combat lacks depth, and too many scripted parts for my liking.

    If the combat was much more fleshed out, and if Village was a little longer to accommodate that, than maybe the gameplay would be able to support the game on its own.

    I still wanna play more to see what the game offers, or at least to make the most out of the purchase. However the lack of depth in the gameplay and just thinking about replaying some of the slow portions sounds like a chore already.

    RE Village doesn't know what it wants to be. Its a bootleg version of RE4 and its not exactly a great horror game either. It borrows from so many games that in the end it has little of its own identity.

    y lo mejor del juego el sonido , impresionante lo que logro capcom haciendolo uno de los juegos mas inmersivos que he jugado nunca de 10 este apartado
    Por cierto uso del dualsense muy logrado , sobre todo con las armas INCREIBLE
    Tiempo de juego , es un poco mas largo que el 7 pero tampoco es de soprenderse resident evil nunca ha sido una saga de juegos largos por lo que no puedo ponerlo como un defecto
    Y por ultimo hablare de los puzles , historia , boss fights
    Los puzles son simples , me parece que capcom tiene que seguir mejorando en este sentido , aunque en este juego mejoro respecto a entregas anteriores le falta todavia . Hay puzles que llegan a ser ingeniosos y otros que son muy basicos .
    La historia es buena pero podia haber sido mucho mejor , Capcom tiene que mejorar la narrativa y esto no es solo algo particular de este juego sino de muchas de sus franquicias incluyendo a resient evil . haciendote sentir que no entiendes nada , que todo es especulacion , es complicado de explicarlo , personajes como chris redfield que tenia mucha espectacion acabaron siendo desaprovechado , apareciendo muy pocas veces en el juego y aun no entiendo del porque ocupa la portada del juego
    Las boss fight estan bien , un poquito mejores del estandar de esta saga
    En el unico apartado donde este juego es peor que el 7 es en el dieño de nivel .
    En conclusion estamos ante uno de los mejores resident evil top 4 por lo menos .
    Lo mejor : Ambientacion , jugabilidad , diversion , apartado sonoro, tecnicamente excelente , artisticamente de escandalo , armas , variedad de situaciones , dualsense (ps5)
    Lo peor: Historia , Fisicas mejorables respecto a la destruccion de escenarios , diseño de nivel .

    The new Resident Evil continues the adventures of Ethan in Romania and it is a lot of fun. It draws inspirations from RE4 and more action and Resident Evil true than 7 not being that scary. A game that is a lot of fun, this is what it is important in video games to not forget to be fun.

    Resident Evil Village has just become my favourite RE game so far. It’s a truly incredible game that feels like a tribute to the most iconic RE games so far, borrowing a bit from every game.
    The story is truly amazing, as a fan of RE who has played all of them I never thought RE would wake on me all the feelings it woke a the end.

    Resident Evil Village is the best Resident Evil game I have ever played. From the atmosphere of the Village to the level and Art design of the Castle. Everything feels masterfully thought out, and it is accompanied by a fantastic story at it's core, with Ethan Winters' story being wrapped up in a satisfying way. A must play for all Resident Evil fans, old and new.

    As a hardcore Resident Evil Fan i must say while The ending Gets pretty action packed (Tho it makes sense lore and story wise why it does And DAMN is it Fun) most the game is a PERFECT blend of Horror and Action, i genuinely found more horror in this game on some parts then even RE7 had to offer. Also this game Follows the RE4 forumla SO well, Legit a RE7+RE4 love child. This game isAs a hardcore Resident Evil Fan i must say while The ending Gets pretty action packed (Tho it makes sense lore and story wise why it does And DAMN is it Fun) most the game is a PERFECT blend of Horror and Action, i genuinely found more horror in this game on some parts then even RE7 had to offer. Whole game has very strong Resident Evil 4 vibes and i dig that a lot, because RE4 is one my favorite games of all time. Only complaint i have is that Heisenberg’s Factory lasted a bit too long and started to overstay it’s welcome. But Heisenberg’s boss fight after it all is so much fun, definitely the best and most fun out of all the fights, Mother Miranda being a close second. They really nailed Ethan in this game, to the point i was rooting for him to get Rose back and make it out alive. The ending was so sad after everything Ethan went through in RE7 with saving Mia and RE8 to save his daughter, Rose. Him slowly turning to mold because his body is now made of it and him sacrificing himself to blow the Village up while Chris, Mia and Rose fly away in a helicopter.… Expand

    I really liked this game and if you liked RE7 you will love this one aswell. I think the gameplay is RE8 is better, but the story in RE7 is better. They are both must play titles for fans of the horror genre.

    Finally rolled the credits on village ❤ it took me 10 hours to beat the main campaign with almost 80 percent of side content involved and i have to say capcom surely deserves all the credit here

    And if they catch you there's a lot of in-your-face-screaming with little repercussion. nemesis and mr x. made you sh your pants. These balloons are more    it's bad.     Worse Resident Evil game. 7 was awful with terrible writing and bad jump scares. 8 somehow manages to make 7 look like gold with it's awful writing, bad plot, and blatant rip off of other successful games

There's nothing scary about that, it's just annoying. Just cause you can fight back and upgrade guns, doesn't mean that game is not scary anymore. This logic makes no sense.     The AI is incredibly stupid in this game. When I was on the ladder, the monsters kept attacking the air and they couldn't even attack me. The story is complete garbage. The dialogue in this game is cringeworthy with horrendous voice acting. This game lacks the attention to detail you would expect in a AAA game. There are too many puzzles in this game. The puzzles are terrible and kill the pacing. The developers added so many puzzles in a pathetic attempt at making this game long. The game manages to still be too short.

    The multiplayer is not available yet. The developers delayed it til summer. I'm getting sick of this annoying trend of developers delaying the multiplayer and waiting months to finally get it. I'm at least glad these developers are listening to my complaints and adding modes like Mercenaries. It's too bad that the mode is boring, slow paced and lazily designed. You can't even play with your friends in this mode. I recommend you wait until this game is like $20 and has multiplayer before picking it.    … Expand

    Overall amazing game. Better boss fights than even RE2R and RE2R had solid boss fights. Not RE4 level boss fights, but still solid enough and better than most recent RE games. It's just simple fact that RE4 is basically king of boss fights when it comes to Horror games. Boss fights are one of the main reasons i re-play games over and over again.     Good game, boss fights, new places and so on. What liked the most are the environment and the weapons. Then player can use many weapons and upgrade them. What I disliked is the graphics. It is not that much for ps5. I recommend you to play it.

    I really like it and i think it's very well done Resident Evil game. It has Resident Evil 7 camera and Resident Evil 4 elements like inventory/merchant. It even has some RE2 Remake elements, that i'm not gonna spoil. Way more normal enemies than in RE7 (that's a +), more bosses (also a +), bosses actually look interesting, some of them reminded me The Evil Within bosses (that's a +).I really like it and i think it's very well done Resident Evil game.     now we have vampires,werewolves,dragons,ghosts,Transformers,robots,Immortal protagonists,magic telekinetic powers and endless remakes.
    literally no music,dumb AI,repetitive puzzles,uninspired level design,generic plot and characters.
    it's over for capcom.

    Perfect combination of Action and Horror. Just like Resident Evil 4, Dead Space, The Evil Within and some more. I don't like these hide and seek type horror games, i want to fight back and have fun. Good game.

    For anyone who was afraid that Resident 8 was too disconnected from the series and no longer looked like Resident Evil, rest assured. At least in gameplay and atmosphere, Village does not disappoint and consolidates one of the best eras of the franchise, but it does not get to surpass the acts of action, the 3 eras Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6.

    Finally Capcom is going back to their Resident Evil 4 (Best Resident Evil game of all time) roots. It's about time. Way better than Resident Evil 7 in literally every way possible. More actually interesting/fun boss fights, Weapon Upgrades, enemies drop loot (as they should), beautiful graphics. Can't wait to see what they do with Resident Evil 4 Remake, because now i'm hyped.

    First, I love the Resident Evil Series, have played a lot of them in various formats but this... clunky gameplay even in PS5, and there is no proper feeling of realism in first person... the game stutters everywhere and it's like it is quite unoptimized. That adding that the graphics are really not that good...
    Apart from this, there is no Resident Evil feeling... at all...

    This game is thrilling from the start, although not as scary as it’s predecessor the atmosphere, environment and enemies make the game creepy and interesting. The standard enemies are a huge improvement from 7’s molded as you actually gain from killing them as they drop loot necessary to make ammo, healing products and explosives. The villains are each interesting in their own right although I found moreau to be the comical intellectual stupid character who the group make fun of which is rather repetitive and who we literally got in 7 as Lucas. The negatives for me would be that the first area you go to other than the village it’s self is the gorgeous Castle that Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters inhabit I felt that the 3 other areas after this weren’t as good, 2 of them weren’t necessarily bad but no where near as interesting or creative as the first. I wasn’t a fan of Heisenbergs factory at all I found it very repetitive and mostly boring and more reminiscent of the boat section in 7 which I didn’t like either mostly for the same reasons. The boss battles where all intriguing but far too easy regardless of difficulty their patterns were very repetitive so therefore easy to figure out quickly. Overall I really enjoyed RE: Village enough to say it’s a good game but once again it has more than enough flaws to hurts its overall score.… Expand

    RE village is a great game. If you rush trough the story it might feel like a short game but there is enough to explore. Personally I prefer a shorter great game than those long-winded 100 hour+ games. I would recommend this masterpiece to everyone who likes horror.

RE8 just perfectly balanced between horror and action .when you killed dozens of Lycians ,then be ready cause the big tall vampire lady is chasing you and there is nothing you can do except running away from her. every 10 minute it has surprise under its sleeve . the    9.75/10

    Similarly to Resident Evil 4 back in the day, Village will attract a new generation of players and redefine the franchise for the modern age. I guess it’s time to stop looking back and counting on the series to return to its roots. Capcom is well aware of those roots and willingly draws from them to create something new but still infused with Resident Evil’s spirit. Village is not perfect, but neither was RE4, and once again it’s easy to turn a blind eye to the flaws, because overall it’s an amazing game. [07/2021, p.56]

    Resident Evil Village feels like such a culmination. Bringing together elements from the franchise all the way up to now and crafting what looks to be the next step of survival horror, it embraces every aspect of the franchise. While the insidious dread of Resident Evil VII is missing, there are still plenty of scares. The monster designs are fantastic, from the generations undead, the fury of the Lupine beasts, to the towering monstrosities. It's well worth delving into the concept art and 3D models to enjoy them fully. The story is just the right amount of silly with the terrifying, and the odd dash of the surreal. The combat is smooth and fluid, best evidenced in the addictive Mercenaries mode. All of these elements added together make quite possibly the best Resident Evil to date, and a foundation for a fresh new generation of terror.

    RE: Village is a mixture of almost all previous Resident Evil elements, making the most of both survival horror and puzzle intensity, but with the primary stage being left for the more action-like nature of Resident Evil 4. It has some great story moments, sprinkled with a few lacklustre characters that are still overshadowed by its most notable characteristic – most detailed environment to date.
