    As someone who never played or got into the original Resident Evil 4 from 2005, I went into the remake blind and with an open mind. Nothing could have prepared me for the amazing and beautiful offering Capcom had once again delivered. from the gun variety, to the distinct locations and arenas, to unique boss fights.

    Mas mesmo se fosse um jogador que nunca tivesse jogado reaident evil 4 original, eu ainda sim gostaria muito.

    全体的に見ると割と満足したが無印の方がよかったところも何カ所かあった。レオンの動きや体術の気持ちよさや寄生体のは無印の方が好きだった。アシュリーの服装は時代的にしょうがないけど残念だった。ただQTEもだいぶ減りイライラせずにプレイできた。

    El mejor remake de la historia, así de simple. Capcom dando cátedra de como hacer un remake, prácticamente un nuevo juego con la base del original, no un simple remaster. Este juego es mínimo un 9, toda esa gente que está puntuando mal este juego, claramente no tiene ni idea de videojuegos.

    Un grandissimo gioco , il migliore dei resident evil per il momento, inoltre era da tempo che non mettevo le mani su un gioco di questa saga con questa difficoltà . Chi dice che è facile ho I miei dubbi che abbia effettivamente giocato a questo capolavoro , a meno che non abbia impostato la minima difficoltà. Brava cara Capcom

    I don't understand all these user negative reviews! RE4R took everything that was great about the original RE4 and improved upon it! The graphics are spectacular and the characters are well written. The story is the same with a lot of changes in a lot of sections of the game, with some of them being better that the original. And this is just one of the good new stuff that the remake has to offer. It's not like the remake is better or worse that the original. The fact is that now we have 2 sides of a perfect game. 2 options for the gamers. The only thing i missed in the remake is the OVER THE TOP cutscenes. But it's fine because the remake is a more serious game and that helps it to be more grounded and realistic in 2023. So Capcom almost never dissapoints when it comes to remakes (except Resident Evil 3 which is a good game but with a lot of cut material and it seems more like an expansion rather than a full length game). And let's hope for the next remake to be RESIDENT EVIL CODE VERONICAAAAAA !!!!!!… Expand

    - When Ashley talking to Leon while in the gameplay is one of my "wants" in the remake
    - Helping Leon is one of the thing that you will not hate Ashley.
    - The story is very understandable compare to the OG.
    - The game is not quiet anymore especially Leon and Ashley compare to the OG.
    - I both love OG and Remake, so since they are equal or respectfully each other, Remake promise to OG to improve everything and they actually did it.
    - They almost keep everything from the OG to Remake.
    - Each character model can be viewed (FINALLY!)
    - Shooting range is fun and hard!
    - The whole game is hard! and I love it!

It was the first game I played on the 2 and have been playing it throughout the years maybe finishing if over a 100 times. Re4 re isn't as great as the og but maybe it's the nostalgia talking but it's a great game and I've already put 70 hours in it and want to play even more. Literally my only gripe, if I had to nitpick at worst, is that the game design habit of splashing yellow paint on any interactable object like ladders or barrels kind of broke the immersion for me.     Arguably you could also make the case that you prefer the voice acting of OG Ada, Krauser, Saddler, ...

    I would agree to an extent, though that's completely subjective. I find it important to highlight however that people tend to forget how much Ashley's dialogue has improved and like to only focus on the negatives when there's far more positives that never get mentioned.

    Honestly that's literally the only downside I can possibly even think of, which is very remarkable, especially with the state of video games nowadays.    … Expand

    Resident Evil 4 improves on the original in every single way possible. I’m blown away by how well polished this game is. This is a must play for any fan of survival horror games. It really is one of the best games I’ve ever played and really shows what the PS5 can do. Especially the dual sense controller… wow that thing is cool! I obviously highly recommend this game.     +Kept Everything the fans loved about the OG, such as the cheesy one-liners, suplex, melee, staggers, etc Even going as far as making the most well known bugs used by speedrunners into a optional reward/feature (Talking about the ditman glitch, you can earn a charm that references it and increases movement speed)

    +Fun details from the OG return too but adds on it, such as the Bell in the village you can ring early

    +They expanded on the lore in a very good way!

    +Serious replayability, Already on my 4th run, Unlocking all the side content is genuinely a lot of fun this time around, and challenging

    Don't let the fake Reviews change your mind

    People are too quick to show disappointment in little details that they forgo the bigger improvements, Really shows how some people are incapable to enjoy things like the old days.

    Yes there are flaws too,
    -Ada's VA
    -Leon doesn't scream "Action super hero" anymore and is more grounded in this version
    -Due to the point above, Moments were cut out, such as the laser room sequence
    -Both Leon and Ashley both pant like a dying dog for no reason, audibly annoying.
    -Mercenaries mode is delayed to 2 weeks after launch, Wich is in no way a "bad" thing, We were still given a full game, and Mercenaries is still free, It wasnt ready is all (Trust me, The files show that all the voice lines were not in the build we got on release)
    -"Separate Ways" was not included either but again, In the OG Re4, "Separate ways" wasn't a thing either, Wasn't untill the playstation port that it was released. Much like the main campaign in the remake, "Separate ways" will be fully fleshed out and expanded on it, again people are to judgmental and will harshly judge anything based off a whim.

    I think the game is solid, it didn't perhaps grab me as it did other people but it is definitely worthy of anyone's time who likes survival horror games. I do not think the game has such high replayability though. Honestly, I've found only one, small flaw: it is SERIOUSLY ADDICTIVE. Truly, I might have developed a problem. I can't stop f'ing playing this thing.

    Cheers all around to everyone involved in making this masterpiece and perfect mesh of survival horror and action. I am absolutely beaming with the knowledge that I will be able to play this for years to come to my heart's ultimate content.     Absolutely fantastic reimagining of a true classic. I loved what they did with the story and characters. Made them feel like real people and less cartoon like. Original was fantastic but I think the Remake truly surpassed it. Game play is frantic and anxiety inducing in the best way possible, graphics are good too but not breath taking, and the soundtrack is great. My only complaint is that Ada Wongs new voice actor isn't as good as the one they used in RE2 Remake, but she isn't terrible either. By that i was aware how good the original game was, and i had really high expectations on remake, and ive gotta say - thats one of the greatest remakes in videogame history, alongside with FF7R, RE2 and Demons Souls Remake this game shines. This game became my favorite RE game, even though ive only played 2;3;4;8, but now ive got a motivation to finish them all, but i am 100% sure bon other Resident Evil game will give such perfect experience as RE4 gave me. The reason why i liked this game so much, is first of all a good combination between horror/survival and action, and by that this gave always keep the player interested in what’s happening in there. Also one the key factors why i really liked this game was characters - God , they are badass. Leon, Krauser, Louis, Ada, Osmund Sadler, Ramon Salazar - all of them are extremely charismatic and interesting in their own ways, and yeah Ashley is not that annoying as she was in a past, and at least she has a fascinating look.
    Also ive gotta admit amazing bossfights ( except Del Lago ) and what a great soundtrack they have. The themes of Krauser, Ramon, Sadler are that good, that i can compare them with Fromsofts osts, that says a lot. In the end i don’t have anything bad to say about this game, it was a pure pleasure to play this game, and surprisingly pleasing to obtain platinum trophy in this game. One of the best remakes, and a great game on its own.

    Easily the greatest remake of a game to date, just beating out the Dead Space remake.

    The story has been polished with slight tweaks here and there, the gameplay has been modernised whilst still retaining the frantic action/horror of the original.

    My favourite game of 2023 so far.

    I couldn’t stop playing this piece of art. Beat the game 5 times in a row, got all the trophies and I felt empty after playing this. Resident Evil became my favourite game series. I played this and Village back to back, what an experience it was. I thank the almighty God for blessing me and letting me enjoy this series cannot wait for more instalments in the series, hopefully RE5 getI couldn’t stop playing this piece of art.     The story of the game is a mediocre story, the gameplay is very enjoyable and attractive, in terms of visuals, it is equal to Cross Gen 2023 games and has a stunning visual, the main boss fights are very similar to each other. The sound design of the game is wonderful, the enemies have a good variety and only one new type of enemy has been added to the remake compared to the original version.

    Resident Evil 4 Remake not only does right by its original source of inspiration, but it also sets a high bar for what modern day remakes can be. All components of the story have been finetuned into a more well-thought out package, and that’s before mentioning the game’s full use of today’s graphical prowess to deliver a more terrifying interpretation of rural Spain. The core gameplay also retains what made it so great back in the day, but with modern amenities such as a parrying system, quick-select for weapons and the ability to run. And despite the new improvements, the increased aggressiveness of the enemies ensures that the game never feels like a cakewalk. I don’t know who still needs to be convinced at this point, but Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece that I cannot recommend enough.
