    I love what the graphics engine can do, the story is good, the secondary ones are better than horizon zero dawn, I think dualsense can still get more out of waiting for a dlc

    Simplemente espectacular, el juego es hermosos de principio a fin mejora todo lo que Horizon Zero Down nos plantea y además mejora su sistema de habilidades y de armas. No obstante, a pesar de ser un mundo abierto te hace sentir limitado por momentos.

Zur Story, oft wurde kritisiert das man nicht eine ähnliche Faszination aufgreifen konnte, wie der Vorgänger. Das finde ich jedoch nur bedingt schlimmer, da dafür die Charakterentwicklung von Eloy und andere Nebencharaktäre einfach mehr Punkten. Technisch ist das Spiel auch über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Ich hab so oft wie in kaum einen anderen Spiel einfach in die Landschaft geschaut und gestaunt, wie gut das alles aussieht. Die Kämpfe machen auch wahnsinnig viel Spaß und die verschiedenen Maschinentypen und wie detailliert diese ausgearbeitet sind, lassen mich immer wieder staunen. Auch wenn mich der Aufbau der Open World nicht so sehr stört wie andere, für eine Fortsetzung würde ich mir ein ähnliches Konzept wie in Zelda BotW oder Elden Ring wünschen. Ich sehe trotz meiner hohen Wertung einfach noch viel Potenzial!… Expand

My critique is when it’s supposed to be set in a harsh hunter gatherer wilderness, most of the men are portrayed as weak, making food, stitching clothes, when the females are the strong leaders and hunters.     O jogo graficamente falando melhorou muito o combate tbm está bem melhor as viagens tbm melhoraram pq ficam mais rápidas com o planador agora mas achei a narrativa um pouco fraca no Zero dawn achei uma história mais cativante mas no geral e uma experiência gratificante e muito divertida vale a pena jogar.

    I was a bit skeptical when I saw that they had completely revamped the combat and now had a escort mission vibe but after seeing the critic reviews I got this game finished it in 20+ hrs and I loved every minute of it.

    Horizon Forbidden West takes everything great about the Zero Dawn and makes it 10times better. Gameplay is still fun and fluid, many mechanics has been greatly improved like skill tree and crafting. So many new creative machines to fight!
    Story is absolutely amazing, and visually it is one of the most gorgeous games of this generation

The amount of activities, storage options, combat combinations, and traversal variation elevates it to new heights. There is a ton of density/ verticality in environments and towns. Acting and animations are about as good as they come.... plus, the new minigame is epic and addictive. The story starts slow on purpose and it serves the game's purpose well. Missing this is mossing a gem. I would normally give a 9, but with all the bonehead review bombers on here who are basically just immature, I've gotta compensate. If you looked forward to this title, you've received what you anticipated.… Expand

    Stunning !!! I am surprised about how much settings are in the game to balance the play style of the player. Each character is very unique. And thet added new more machines. I haven't gone far but so far is a plus to the collection. Everyone need to experience Forbidden West.

    Horizon forbidden west is a really successful game with its story that keeps you guessing until the end.
    But there are nevertheless some bugs like the tenaks on the elephant which I hope will be fixed with a patch.

    I said it back when HZD was out and I'll say it again, this IP does nothing to move the needle on RPGs. There is no captivating feature to differentiate itself from the monotony that is modern RPGs. This game has 2 things going for it... it looks a lot better than the original (albeit with terrible and underperforming graphical settings), and the fluidity within combat seems to have beenI said it back when HZD was out and I'll say it again, this IP does nothing to move the needle on RPGs. There is no captivating feature to differentiate itself from the monotony that is modern RPGs. This game has 2 things going for it... it looks a lot better than the original (albeit with terrible and underperforming graphical settings), and the fluidity within combat seems to have been improved. There is nothing else to really talk about positively.

    The game is boring, the acting is awful, the characters look and talk like wooden planks, the optimization is awful, the story is nonsensical and was clearly written by anti-white feminists, there's glitches and bugs all over the place, the side quests are repetitive, and the soundtrack is mediocre to say the least.

    Let's call a spade a spade here and mention a few things:

    1. HFW was released in a broken/unpolished state, a state in which we, the gaming community, universally pan other releases for doing... Anthem, Fallout 76, Cyberpunk 2077, BF 2042, Dying Light 2, and deservedly so, because in modern gaming, the examples are endless... but somehow HFW gets a pass? Why? A female lead? A first party title? The “right message”?

    2. The bots brigading these ratings, in conjunction with deleted negative reviews, that are making this site become less and less reliable for honest criticism are inflating this score from where it should be... 2 days ago, this game was sitting at a 6.8 user score, and just yesterday, had around 3500 "positive" reviews and around 870 negative reviews... you are telling me that there has been 900 positive reviews and only 60 negative reviews overnight? (4368 & 926 respectively at time of writing) For a game that has a plethora of bugs and issues that are preventing people from even playing? Of course, there are bots on both sides, no denying, but just like TLOU2, it feels like this game is being protected from criticism.

    3. There is no heart and soul in this game. If anyone has played RPGs in the past 10 years, they will know that this is another copy of the same generic formula, question marks littered throughout the map with the same sort of encounters or loot, repetitive loot grinding to "craft" whatever nonsense to progress, a tool that is received later to have you backtrack and access "new" areas with the same loot, a perk tree that unlocks the same tiring abilities we have seen for years or increase whatever output by x%, dialogue options that do nothing, do these sound familiar? Artificial time wasting as popularized by modern Assassin's Creed.

    I am sorry to the Sony fans out there that are desperate for this game to be good because they are engaging in this pointless console war, but this game is terrible, and its prequel is middling at best. You have God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, & Ratchet & Clank RA, great games, which are vastly superior to this nonsense. HFW should be getting panned like CP 2077 & AC would, but alas, here we are with another awful RPG that slips under the radar because its too "important" to be criticized.

    RPGs almost always had that same, similar formula I mentioned before, the same perk/skill enhancements, areas of interest, and even bugs and glitches at launch, but what sets games like The Witcher, Fallout New Vegas, & Mass Effect apart from most of this modern garbage? Excellent writing and story-telling, well-designed characters, great voice acting, choices that matter, replay-ability, and creators that care about their product... HFW, and HZD for that matter, have none of this.

    This was more of a rant, rather than a review, but the truth needed to be said. We are losing great single player RPG games because of releases like this, and people need to stop buying these soulless IPs. Layers of pretty graphics covering a lifeless puddle of “content”.    … Expand

They have refined every aspect of the game compared to the first game. The story, lore, open world, combat and general game mechanics are far better than the original games making this one of the best if not the best open world games I have ever played (right up there with the Witcher 3). The attention to detail is amazing. For example, Aloy and the NPCs even sweat if they are in the desert during the day and not just in cut scenes but throughout the course of general gameplay as well. Unlike most modern open world games the game is, with a few exceptions, full of unique and original side quests that really help to keep you engaged and immersed in its world. The combat and crafting mechanics and scope are also much improved. The voice acting and facial animations are significantly better bringing it up to par with the best of it genre. I played it on the PS5 so I had access to the new dualsense features which in Horizon forbidden west are one of the best of any PS5 games so far. It also visually stunning on the PS5. Finally the games settings menu is extensive and to the point where, with the exception of the visual setting portion of the settings menu, I would say it is comparable to that of a PC game. It gives you a lot of control and allows you to adjust the game to your liking. It also has a nice option that allows you to set a custom difficulty where you can choose to individually adjust various aspects of the gameplay independently of one another. So for example if you want to make Aloy take significantly more damage from an enemy hit but would rather that her damage output remains closer to the default you can set her damage delt to normal and enemy damage to very hard. I would strongly recommend people play this game.… Expand

    After 20 hours in the game I can say for sure that game story and gameplay is so boring. Yes it has good graphics, but not enough for me. I shouldnt buy it day 1 and be victim of the hype. I really dont undestand why they praising this game.

    I loved the first game and got platinum and 100% of content in it. But the second game is a huge disappointment. I think the time of great Sony exclusives is over. They have all the issues of all other large game publishers: bugs, soft enough PG plot/characters, agenda, weak gameplay. They try to be as average as possible. And as safe investment as possible. Rip Sony.

    Beautiful. Rich story, some sick side quests, nice combat, nice machines, good gameplay. Gorgeous. Though something is missing for me in comparison to Zero Dawn.. and backseat aloy is really annoying at times.

    Did you know that women have actually more facial hair than men. They just ar less visible. True fact.

    Technically the game is pretty disappointing, especially in his passfiding I found atrocious and frustrating. Aloy pass trough textures when climbing.

    Boring dialogues, boring romances, boring minigame.

    Bigger and better than the first. More interesting story and character animation are a huge improvement. You can lose yourself in the world for hours with just side content.

    The people on the green side have no game to play and are reviewing bombs.

    After finishing the game in around 50 hours I'm looking forward to spending another 50 at least in the world. Beautiful game, good story. Not without its flaws. The positives far outweigh the negatives in my playthrough however. To see so many zeroes just for the sake of "balancing" out the positive reviews from people who have not played the game is sad to see.

Good story but not epic with not many epic twists but a few nice surprises and makes you wonder what 3rd game will build on them. From the combat being less spammy to climbing opportunities being more wide spread.     Forbidden West is such a giant step forward from Zero Dawn. Bringing back the amazing combat system with so many new ways to customize your play style. The new Jobs system that was worked in to help progress upgrades to weapons, pouches, and armor is a really nice touch! Traversal is better than Zero Dawn’s clunky system. Similar in nature but smoother. With so many accessibility features,Forbidden West is such a giant step forward from Zero Dawn. Bringing back the amazing combat system with so many new ways to customize your play style. I'm barely 20 hours in and iv not even scratched the surface when it comes to finishing the game.     While i'm nowhere near done with the Game i can without a doubt give this game a 9/10. The Good:
    Horizon Forbidden West did something which most sequels fail trying. It took the first game as a base and improved upon the source material immensely. The story is engaging and if you liked the first one you will definetly love this one.     There are a few glitches and audio issues here and there. Pop in does occur from time to time but by no means is it something that ruins the experience.

    Looks like a PS5 game and plays like a PS3 game. Poor writing, the story is not compelling. Characters are bland, i didn't mind Aloy before, i am starting to dislike her about 10 hours into the game. Close combat is clunky, not enjoyable at all.

    Horizon has enchanted me again. After a slow start, a graphically beautiful, sophisticated sequel comes, polished in every aspect, and underscored by a great soundtrack on top of that. The sequel was simply a success. Everything that worked before works even slightly better now. [Issue#317]

While it's totally worth fans jumping in on day one, it's perhaps better to wait a few weeks until all the bugs are ironed out.

    Horizon Forbidden West is exactly what everyone thought it would be: an amazing game. It has an open world with plenty of things to do and places to explore, fights against some really well-developed machines and stunning visuals. The feeling is that the second game of the series improves on what was already great, and it feels rewarding and fun to play. It is another single-player masterpiece from Sony.
