    After finishing the game in around 50 hours I'm looking forward to spending another 50 at least in the world. Beautiful game, good story. Not without its flaws. The positives far outweigh the negatives in my playthrough however. To see so many zeroes just for the sake of "balancing" out the positive reviews from people who have not played the game is sad to see.

    Game is okay, Slot is more annoying than the first game. Love the graphics and they are top tier, but open world is boring. Not much to do once main story line is complete. Had higher hopes for this game.

    "Most games take years to reach over 100 reviews". Right. Xbot discovered!

    Ya' see; that happens when the system owned has one or two games that received critical praise--and does, at least, come close to that 100 mark within the first few days of a review embargo. If years: why then did these two games (Halo, Gears 5) come fairly close, then? Well: when every other game is fodder: of course there will be less reviews. When one company has been striking out for at least one entire generation--going on two now--whilst the other continues to deliver hit after hit after hit: reviewers will obviously flock to the machine most enjoyable to play, and, they can earn a decent amount of money on (because guess which games most gamers are looking at the most? Why are ya'll even here right now? Anxiously, seeing that 88 and, oh **** they did it again; gotta' SHOW them that their games teh suck omg like omfg!).

    Very few--if any--games deserve an absolute zero.

    Having quite a few hours into this game: I see through every one of ya' **** try me: PLEASE!

    Really. Try and fool me. See how far ya' get.
    Try and debate me as well; especially over these excuses to review-bomb.

    Which: I called well-before the game released. I knew if it was another hit (and especially beat Halo: Infinite; oh no!): review-bombs away! And here we are.

    Grow a dick, people, and stop **** these unreliable user-rated scores up (unreliable from review-bombing, of course).

    Fantastic, gorgeous, intuitive, DEEP as hell; Ignore the bots; their X'd out, if ya' catch my drift.

    It's worth buying a PS5 for this game alone.
    But, take my word or trust the inane excuses these silly Microflacid fanboys "pretend" to experience. But always be cautious of 0's and even 10's, like I'm giving it (thus far...and I don't see it dropping; if anything, I'm loving it more...and more...and more).

    PS: Give us some details, 0's, about what the controls feel like and such. Anything useful; "the graphics hurt my eyes". Wow.

    What a game. I don't know what kind of people would give it 0. They're definitely born outta random Karens. Beautiful game, like it's predecessor, engaging, amazing graphics, what a story & good combat system. If not extremely good, but it's fluid. 10/10 for me, total package.

    Absolute beautiful game! Enjoyed every minute of it. Combat is challenging and story interesting and unique in its own way. Really recommend getting this game to anyone.

    However the game does have its hiccups with bugs but wasnt game breaking. If you fall through the floor or whatever, literally just reload from the last save option in the pause menu.     Great game, all the things we loved from HZD and more, conversations can get long but the people wanted more story and that's what you got. New combat changes and weapons are great and more challenging. Can't wait for the DLC and I'm not even done with the full game. Trolls can go play Halo.

Esta franquicia significo un gran exito para los desarrolladores de Gerrilla, se arriesgaron a hacer algo totalmente diferente a Killzone y lograron sobresalir con creces. Ésta secuela del título lanzado en el 2017 era una de las que mas esperaba, la primera entrega logro engancharme dejandome con muchas preguntas de lo que sucederia con los habitantes de esa versión de a "tierra postapocaliptica" y ha valido la pena, en PS5 se ha disfrutado muchisimo, los gráficos han mejorado notablemente incluso en modo rendimiento no se detecta mucha diferencia vs la opción calidad gráfica, una de los cambios que me agradaron en los primeros minutos fue el modelado de personajes y su movimiento y expresión más natural y mucho mejor sincronizado con las voces latinas que en el anterior (el doblaje se ha mantenido con una buena calidad de actuación) la unica pega es que aun teniendo el volumen de voces al 100% y la de banda sonora y efectos e 70% se sigue escuchando muy bajo las voces. La jugabilidad, el combate, la diversidad de armas y de nuevas zonas han hecho de este juego un digno competidor a GOTY, lo recomiendo ampliamente, no se van a arrepentir.… Expand

    14 hours in and it's really fantastic. I'm playing on PS5 and the have very few complaints. Story so far is really good and has had a pretty cool/unexpected twist, and is certainly living up to the original. I loved HZD because its story centered around the unraveling of a satisfying mystery, but most of it is solved by the end so I was worried the sequel wouldn't hold my interest as much.14 hours in and it's really fantastic. I'm playing on PS5 and the have very few complaints. Story so far is really good and has had a pretty cool/unexpected twist, and is certainly living up to the original. I loved HZD because its story centered around the unraveling of a satisfying mystery, but most of it is solved by the end so I was worried the sequel wouldn't hold my interest as much. However, it does a great job of building up new mysteries so that's great. Only complaints are climbing and mount riding can be janky, and I've seen some visual issues such as floating plants and some npcs loading in late, but nothing too bothersome or game-breaking. 9/10 for me… Expand

I had aloy missing straight drops onto beams dangling over water that caused tons of backtracking and myriad climbing issues in general, I've seen machines not having any AI and just ignoring me as I    I played for ~25 hours. Pretty game, with horrid bugs.

I was at bulwark and decided to head to a tallneck southwest of there, I got all the way there after an hour with some sidetracking, found a campfire, quick saved, and proceeded to solve the tallneck puzzle for 1 and a half hours. Did my save work? No. I got to where I'm supposed to jump onto the tallneck but it's climbholds decided not to exist and I died, I spawned back in bulwark with no record of my journey. I have since Uninstalled the game and decided I'm not touching this hot garbage until they patch it atleast 3 times. This game is not worth 70 USD in its current state.     I have so much time on the game and it's already so fun! I've gotten 50 percent already. Those review bombing it are probably people who have never seen a woman, seeing as they didn't know that women have peach fuzz

    Monotonous bland game with cardboard cutouts for characters. Characters look like they are taking part in a cosplay competition. Dull, repetitive open world with an uninspiring story (again). Gameplay has definitely improved specially the melee combat as compared to the first one. Skill trees have been made better. Also graphics looks surprisingly average.     Looks like a PS5 game and plays like a PS3 game. Poor writing, the story is not compelling. Characters are bland, i didn't mind Aloy before, i am starting to dislike her about 10 hours into the game. Close combat is clunky, not enjoyable at all.

    An amazing sequel, solved 99% of the issues in HZD and enhanced every aspect of the open world, combat, story, a true GOTY contender, finally the graphics is truly a work of marvel, kudos to the artists for every minute details, I will add just one point, please make the foliage tear when swinging a spear on the next installment, apparently many "critics" gave low scores because of that

    A beautiful game.

    Everything has been improved from the original. Weapons feel better, traversing is more smooth, environments are more varied, NPC's are more interesting and organic.

Aloy's story is far grander this time around and builds on the amazing lore established in Zero Dawn. The large variety of landscapes in the word instilled in me a sense of wonder and stimulated my exploration. ThisHorizon Forbidden West elevates itself above a lot of other games under the label of sequel. Vast improvements were made across the board in regards to gameplay and graphics. Aloy's story is far grander this time around and builds on the amazing lore established in Zero Dawn. The large variety of landscapes in the word instilled in me a sense of wonder and stimulated my exploration.     Very fun and gave me the same feeling the first game did. I love the newer mechanics and characters. Overall great game. Only problem is if you never played the first game it would be really difficult to understand the story of this one.

    Massive improvement in every way over the original. More and diverse settlements and towns. Nice change in scenery. Better armor and gear customization. Loved the first but this one is perfection for me.

    The visuals are strikingly beautiful to say that visuals wow is an understatement. Snow falls off of foliage, grass and reeds bend to the wind, bugs and leaves in the air, a multitude of fishes in the water and more. The only negative about the graphics is that in performance mode the visuals suffer a bit though if you have the right settings resolution    A masterclass in open world design.

The only negative about the graphics is that in performance mode the visuals suffer a bit though if you have the right settings resolution is a great way to play the frame rate is stable. Hopefully the developers either fix performance mode a bit, or give us another mode, one with a higher frame rate than 30, but less than 60 and better graphical fidelity.

    On the point of side quests and npc. Unlike the previous game where npcs didn't have much of a personality, and side quests felt just like MMO fetch quests, the sequel tries to give the npcs a personality and side quests are rewarding now either giving you skill points or weapon/armor, npcs now have motion capture adding a whole level of immersion to the game no more weird scenes where the characters feel like androids having a malfunction.

    Unlike HZD where the world felt more like a checklist, the world feels amazing to explore with variety in side quests, and more interaction with how you do content like requiring you to solve different puzzles instead of just grabbing stuff and being on your way.

    The combat in HZD wasn’t bad, but it left much to be desired. Now there is more variety with melee combos, that also work in tandem with its shooting aspect. The combat is now a blast to play, and I honestly love it compared to HZD.

    In closing this game shouldn’t be missed if you love immersion, and great gameplay give this a try.

    Great game play, amazing visuals, HUGE beautiful map, great story, great voice acting, great animations. I've only run into some minor bugs, no big deal. Anything less than 5 is from a child, troll, or someone who is very ignorant.

    P.s. (get it?) The dualsense support is extremely impressive for example the adaptive triggers when using a bow or when prying open an old trunk of a car and haptic feedback of a galloping mount over different terrain.

    Let's start by highlighting this game is not a slap-stick release of another game much like Call of Duty or Battlefield. There have been reviews that indicate this game is the same as the last and that's far from true.

    Highlights:
    With graphics and faces we must dig a little deeper as this is a special area; as graphics improve overtime, people are having a harder time being convinced what they see on a TV screen. Years ago one would gawk and say, "Look how real it appears". We must acknowledge humans have a dedicated brain function for 'facial recognition' to summarize. This makes faces and graphics a complicated concept. Defects may be perceived as 'errors' in modern games during conversations in the form of a 'lack of expression' or appearing 'emotionless'. Horizon Forbidden West addresses this & leaps forward with nuanced facial expressions; overcoming a development plateau that is really just beginning of modern development. An incredible accomplishment.
    Landscapes design within the open world amount to an incredibly well-polished experience; a gift. Day and night lighting effects with dense trees, foliage, rivers, and ocean amount to a never-ending experience. One could climb the highest peak in the mountains and gaze at the world and its sunset without blinking. Character design and modeling is done meticulously and with thoughtfulness to the story. State of the art graphics depict a number of strange metallic savanna mammals & amphibious reptiles that dot the landscape appearing as a distant subtle glow of blue light that changes like a traffic light to yellow and then an angry red as you approach, becoming aggressive while you do so. Engaging with these beasts is different than other games as you are constantly on the move; on-the-run fighting with the metallic environmental beasts. This must be how man was two-thousand of years ago. One can only conclude this is why burials began; so the dead would be safe from that harsh environment they faced throughout their lives.

    Improvements?
    There are some things to be had from some of conversations and pushing of the main story but overall, its above average. The worst is she appears to now be a woke man-hater, which is odd since she was raised by her father and banished by a bunch of old crones. Maybe that's just me looking too deep. Maybe that's how she is now? Mean and bitter? But she is still a female so only minus 1 point. Music and voice acting are up to par.

    Details:
    Alloy has quite a different skillset, multiple skill trees, but not complex, specialized skills depending on the branches one chooses to pivot in their advancement. Combat has many changes but improved controls such as the gyro motion-controls; these make all the difference when accomplishing total destruction of machines or a miserable bloodbath for yourself.
    Alloy is Agile now! Her mobility has much improved. More than we know! Hours of experimentation will be needed to find her limits. Definitely a lot of running, sliding, and shooting. She can even body sled downhill which is combat effective when engaging from high ground. Sliding can also be interrupted for a change of plans. Joined with combat; the dynamics go on. Experiment! Mount leaping while firing, etc, There is a whole lot more than its predecessor and is now more that is comparable to "Zelda BOTW". Another great improvement.

    Inventory has improved but most of all you get a stash. Collect too much stuff? Can't figure out what to trash or store while on the move? No worries, Alloys stash keeps you running while your hands are full which was much needed in the last game.

    Alloy herself has more facial detail and yeah, she is speckled with freckles - get over it; she is still nice and tight where it counts.

    Finally in conclusion - There have been many money grabs in the gaming industry for the last 2 years, I hate to dampen the negative score review party, but this game is not a money grab. There will probably be a great many games released this year that will warrant game of the year nominations when compared to the last 2 years which was a money grab frenzy and three times the number of bad flops. This game is not a flop, not even close. It's not an old experience. Not a bad one. Awesome maybe? A familiar story with a tremendous revamp. It looks absolutely stunning on my PS5, the combat is smooth and fun as ever, the music helps set the tone throughout the game, the characters have really come to life, and it’s essentially improved in the very few ways it fell short by its predecessor. 10/10 would recommend.

    I was really looking forward to this game, I really loved the emotional impact of 1st game and how it revealed the mystery through world building of the past... None of this I found in Forbidden West. Story of HFW was not impactful, we barely came to know the villains, "plot twists" felt unearned... I really miss scavenging through old world and listening to stories of Old Ones.     Really enjoyed Zero Dawn and really enjoying Forbidden West. About 12 hours in so far and no bugs, great graphics, smooth performance. Not a single issue playing in both graphics mode or performance mode. Great job Gorilla, yet another awesome game!

    I haven't been able to put this game down since getting it. It's gorgeous, the combat is amazing and flexible for different styles of play, and the story is wildly entertaining. I am invested in all the characters and the lore, and even though I've been playing for almost 30 hours, the completion percentage isn't even close to 50%. Well worth the money!

    I played a little over 10 hours now, this game took all of the complaints from the first game and improved on it, facial features and animations are the biggest improvement over the last game, a new and improved skill tree also makes the game a lot more fun.

    PS5 features are also one of the most important factors of the game, when I started playing this game all of my controller features were turned off because I mostly played FIFA before. After turning haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, gyro aiming and the speakers back on the game became way more fun, and the 60 FPS performance mode is also really well implemented.

    Parkour system has been revamped with a lot of new features, makes climbing mountains a lot easier and does not feel like a chore anymore.

    Lots of story rich and detailed side quests to do and new things to discover, keep in mind I played just a little over 10 hours and I am still at the beginning of the game, it's very easy to get lost in the atmosphere and exploration of the world.

    10/10 from me so far, will update review once I finish the game    … Expand

    Horizon Forbidden West is more of the greatness we were used to from Zero Dawn. Good = good and that means it doesn't have to change, much. The story continues only with new additions to Aloy's arsenal, new map, new machines and new mechanics.

    Horizon has enchanted me again. After a slow start, a graphically beautiful, sophisticated sequel comes, polished in every aspect, and underscored by a great soundtrack on top of that. The sequel was simply a success. Everything that worked before works even slightly better now. [Issue#317]

While it's totally worth fans jumping in on day one, it's perhaps better to wait a few weeks until all the bugs are ironed out.

    Horizon Forbidden West is exactly what everyone thought it would be: an amazing game. It has an open world with plenty of things to do and places to explore, fights against some really well-developed machines and stunning visuals. The feeling is that the second game of the series improves on what was already great, and it feels rewarding and fun to play. It is another single-player masterpiece from Sony.
