    Don't listen to the people giving this game zero's (there is no way a game of this caliber could ever score that low. There is just too much going on for it). This game is quickly becoming one of my all-time favorite games and I am about 15 hours into it. The gameplay, the graphics, the controls, the story, side quests are all top notch.     It improve everything on the first one.
    A lot more upgrades
    Many new ennemy types
    More interesting sidequests.
    The graphics are so good too.
    Lot of quality of life improvement also.
    The story pick up right after the first game, and is really interesting.
    If you like the first game, you will love this one.

    Amazing game, I give it an 8 because it's of course not perfect. There are some unrefined mechanics, and the story follows a basic formula where another problem occurs after one is resolved. The NPCS also seem to have bland personalities. Other than those two aspects, I find this game to be quite beautiful and amazing. I enjoyed fighting the robots and cheesing my way through the game whenAmazing game, I give it an 8 because it's of course not perfect. The gameplay is pretty smooth and optimized, but like I said, not perfect. The movement system is pretty great, but just like the fighting mechanics, it's also not perfect. Sometimes Aloy wont move to where you want her to move, and when fighting, specifically dodging , this game has that really annoying enemy mechanic where the enemy traces you while you dodge and immediately moves its attack towards the player after dodging. Could just be skill issue, I don't know haha. I play this game in hard mode. Overall, I really enjoyed the scenery the game has. It's truly remarkable how far games have gone with graphics and performance. 8 out of 10 worthy.… Expand

    An excellent addition to the Horizon family. Graphics are absolutely stunning. The world is immersive with a ton of interactive NPCs and world elements. I can't get enough of it. Anyone who rated this game low is trolling. Zero glitches or issues at all. Performance mode sails and graphics mode is jaw dropping. I'll be playing this game for months to come.

    Horizon zero dawm is the best game I ever played! It's one of the first big open world game I wanted to explore every inch of (did so 4 times). Forbidden west has soo much more to do, see, explore and upgrade but I'll do it again! I've played HFW for 8hrs now and the story is gripping and gameplay perfect as the previous one. It feels like zero dawn and the Witcher made a perfect baby. TheHorizon zero dawm is the best game I ever played! It's one of the first big open world game I wanted to explore every inch of (did so 4 times). Forbidden west has soo much more to do, see, explore and upgrade but I'll do it again! I've played HFW for 8hrs now and the story is gripping and gameplay perfect as the previous one. It feels like zero dawn and the Witcher made a perfect baby. The only criticism I have is that the special editions weren't that special, the first upgrade from standard only gave you a metal box and the music. Maybe too much classical in terms of openworld design, all the usuals activities ans same things to do. Graphicaly beautiful but maybe i expected toi much of the PS5, it's clearly a cross gen game.     El juego mejoró con creces a su antecesor, el combate cuerpo a cuerpo con la variedad de combos, junto a un combate a distancia con las diferentes armas y mejoras que puedan tener. Junto a una historia que continúa una propuesta iniciada en la primera entrega, el juego se mantiene como sobresaliente.

    This game has everything you'd want from a sequel. The plot is more complex, surprising and entertaining, solving many of the plot holes left by its first entry. The graphics are much better than HZD, which should be obvious, given it is a PS5 game, although being cross-gen might have actually hold it back.

    Being an open-world game, all the landscapes are unique and just a joy to explore, which is really important given its genre. The gameplay is one of the other things this game does better than the first one (makes me think the devs. listened to the fans and improved everything they asked for).

    All the voice actors did a phenomenal job, and the motion-capture team got SOOO much better! Goodbye robotic faces! Hello cinematographic dialogue scenes! At last, the soundtrack is, as usual, beautiful!

    Disappointed I wasted time and money on this garbage. I won't give it a 0 or a 1, but 2 - 4 is exactly where this game belongs. Graphically this game is alright, but have seen much better and expected more, especially in preformance mode. The game's story as well as combat and controls are worthless. Sifu, a more inexpensive game far out performs this game.

    I don’t understand that publishers don’t talk about the graphics more. I’m playing on an LG C9. The fidelity mode is horribly slow and choppy, to the extent that every action scene is a blurry mess, and the performance mode is unacceptably awful for a $500 console. Im seriously concerned about gamers’ standards at this point... And yes, I’ve tested various settings. WHY haven’t they madeI don’t understand that publishers don’t talk about the graphics more.     Aloy has character. Townspeople seem to have real lives and do random things that make them seem to be alive.

    The game continues the story where Horizon Zero Dawn left off and it builds on that.

    A great game. And a lot of the fun is continued even just in sightseeing and picture taking. Or popping the trunk of a rusting car just to get the goodies inside.

    No game is without bugs but this one was about as bug free as you can get day 1.    … Expand

    big fan of what they have done with Forbidden West. thoroughly enjoying the game. I had the collectors edition ( above the deluxe digital edition ), that should tell you how serious I am about this game. thoroughly impressed !

    Yes, okay ...it is a bit more "clunky" with the movement but, the game is awesome. I think it's a fun game, now with more of a challenge and it's a beautiful game too. One of the top 10 must have games for Sony players.

    I have beaten the game, after playing it I can say it has its issues, one for me is when you jump from one ledge to another Aloy xlipping through things breaks immersion it happens really bad early on in the tutorial. Apart from that the game is beautiful I have never played a game that looks this good.     I'm a little over 50% through . Absolutely breathtaking so far. I'm not disappointed. I switched over to 'favor performance' and it looks fantastic in 4k HDR. I haven't encountered any of these glitches or graphical problems, but that's just me.

    An amazing game which truly gets the most out of the next-gen experience at this moment. Great story telling, well developed characters & a great diversity of side quests. They expanded upon the best of HZD and really listened to the community on where to improve this sequel. This is how open world gaming should be! As perfect as it gets!

    The game has some bugs and some people are having graphical performance issues on certain TVs (OLEDs seem to have some issues which GG said they are working on). But overall, its absolutely superb and I have not ran into any performance problems on the PS5 (running Performance Mode). Its much like the first except improved in nearly EVERY way possible. The narrative is solid. Characters are memorable and well done (though this can be subjective). Combat is even better and so satisfying. Graphics and physics are amazing! The world has SOOOO much detail and realism to it with the wind, the physics and how objects interact, the animations....everythings just feels immersive and excellent.

    There is a CRAP LOAD of unique content. Youre looking at a main story with side quests that take about 45 to 55 hours. But then probably another minimum of 30 hours of additional content. You could easily get lost in the world of Horizon for 80 hours minimum. 43 different machines all with subcategories and also a variety of Human enemies....just mind boggling to see a "vanilla" release game have this level of content thats not reused assets over and over.

    And my God! There is Gyro Aim!

    This makes the combat that much better once you get use to it. Its much more intuitive and easier to aim at specific parts quickly while moving.

    If GG can just clean up some of the bugs, improve a bit more the climbing and parkour (a little bit clunky right now) elements along with maybe how scavenging works, game would be a super strong contender for GOTY. Granted, it already should be up for nomination. I highly recommend this game.    … Expand

    ASI ES COMO SE HACEN LOS JUEGOS MICROSOF, TOMA UNAS CLASES CON ESTOS CHICOS. UNA OBRA MAESTRA , un juego que rompe con el dicho de segundas partes no son buenas . Tanto las versiones de PS4 y PS5 son una joya en jugabilidad y performance. Ignoren los comentarios de abortos de milhouse y virgos que solo saben ver juegos de suscripciones (típico del que no tiene donde caerse muerto).

    This game met Most of my expectations. Exceeded others and over all was a very good game. I played it almost nonstop every chance I got and finally finished it last night. I only had a single bug where frame rate dropped due to memory leak towards end but easy fix.

    There are two settings, one that favors resolution and the other that favors performance. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would play this game on Resolution mode because it runs terribly. Its supposedly capped at 30fps but it certainly doesn't feel like it. It definitely feels like it dips way lower than that. Its simply unplayable on when you favor resolution. Its very poorly optimized.

    The Performance mode however, runs flawlessly. Its steady at 60fps and the game generally looks stunning. I say generally because there are noticable hiccups especially around the Blight. The red fizzing and static effect that appears only on Performance looks awful. There's some grainy looking textures in the dense grass areas and other environments. Its not the best looking game BUT it's still absolutely beautiful. There are some areas that made me pause to just take in the environment. Really beautiful stuff the artists have come up with for sure.

    Gameplay:
    Combat is so much better than it's predecessor. Theres more versatility with the inclusion of Valor forms. There's combos that deal devastating damage and of course your bows and other weapons all feel amazing to use. A lot of the animations were reused but that isnt a bad thing for me. If it's not broken don't fix it. There's enough newness to the game that it feels fresh and different even though some of it is still the same from the previous game. Overall, gameplay is what you would expect if you played the first game. Its just more refined now with some new flair. I love it.

    Story:
    I've not finished the story but so far it's coherent enough to keep me interested. Some new characters were just revealed to me that made it even more so. I won't say much other than, its a very enjoyable ride so far. Side quests are fun as well. Some of them are kind of dumb but most are great and really have substance that make me feel like I'm playing the main quest when I'm just doing side quests. There isn't much to complain about here.

    Overall impressions:
    So far I'm very happy with the game. At the end of the day, we just want to kick back and play some videogames. This is just another great example of one of those games that really make you want to get off work early so you can jump back into it. Can't wait to dive more into it and explore the Forbidden West some more.    … Expand

There's no 'beard' on Aloy (she has baby hairs on her chin if you zoom in to the most miniscule amount, like most real life women do). The characters and locations are even more gorgeous than the previous games, and I've even seen Aloy giggle and blush in response to flirting, you know. Femininely. I love this game for all it offers over the original with improved gameplay and visuals and the overall traversal improvements e.g being able to override and ride more types of machines which was a great addition. The amount of story and content it offers is quite vast and large also the bland environment from the original game has changed to feature many beautiful locations and random events that can happen within the game, making gameplay even after completing the main story feel unique with more machines than the original.
    The better targeting system for machine parts also fixes a lot of problems I had with getting certain parts off of machines in the original game. Another greatly improved thing is the pacing over the original although some people

I have seen some serious complaints that should be fixed but it seems like none of them go into real detail or believe it to be completely game breaking ruining everything for them. I have encountered some bugs in my 24 hour playtime but most of them were minor, never breaking the game or causing me to fall through the map.
    I played this on the resolution mode and it ran completely fine. Also I don’t really understand how the gameplay of the original is better than this considering it’s the same gameplay but only improved in areas that definitely needed it and as for the story while it isn’t the most original thing ever, it definitely has its emotional moments and really good character progression.    … Expand

Absolutely amazing game and a potential masterpiece but go fully concluded that IL need to finish it and earn the Platinum. That's one thing I'm concerned with to get the Platinum you only need to complete about 50% of the game. Personally I don't like this and I hope they willStill only played about 15hrs of the game.     Played 45 hours so far and i love it. The motion cap and dialogues are such an improvement over zero dawn. I like the diversity of weapons included, it makes it easier to adapt your own playstyle and beat the machines in many different ways. Storywise i like the continuation from zero dawn and where it is going in forbidden west.

    Horizon has enchanted me again. After a slow start, a graphically beautiful, sophisticated sequel comes, polished in every aspect, and underscored by a great soundtrack on top of that. The sequel was simply a success. Everything that worked before works even slightly better now. [Issue#317]

While it's totally worth fans jumping in on day one, it's perhaps better to wait a few weeks until all the bugs are ironed out.

It has an open world with plenty of things to do and places to explore, fights against some really well-developed machines and stunning visuals. The feeling is that the second game of the series improves on what was already great, and it feels rewarding and fun to play. It is another single-player masterpiece from Sony.
