    $70 for the standard or $90 for the deluxe and approximately $20 per car if you don't want to grind for countless hours.

    The lack of a real single player mode, always online requirement, and the super inflated prices with low race rewards makes it way too hard to even upgrade cars effectively let alone by new ones without hours of grinding the same few tracks. The graphics look great on PS5, but that's not enough when the game costs $70 and has so many issues. Most of these issues can and likely will be fixed, but at this point it's just a glorified beta. Not even mentioning the disrespect by the devs through lowering race rewards in a recent update, only further confirming that this game is just a cash grab with no care for the great community behind these games. Also the fact that the game "rewards you" with a ticket to buy the more luxurious cars that have a set time limit feels like a slap in the face. These cars can cost 80% of the max PP you can get for free. The auction house works the same way but with a constant rotation rather than unlocked as a reward. It shouldn't be on the player to farm the same track for hours a day over the course of a week just to buy a single car hoping they don't take too long or else they'll lose their chance at buying it for an unknown amount of time. The inability to even sell any of the overpriced upgrades or duplicate cars you inevitably collect seems like either a major oversight or a malicious choice to further puch players to buy overpriced micro transactions. I will update this review if any of these major issues are fixed, but for now this game needs more time developing and should be avoided until real changes are made. The recent updates, however, have felt like this game is purely just a massive cash grab and the developers just don't care about the players. I understand wanting to prevent grinding the same track, but with the extremely limited content and the low rewards it's the only way players can unlock even a single nice car. Lowering track rewards and releasing cars that cost nearly as much money as the player is allowed to earn just seems like they only care about earning more and more money, regardless of the image it will give them.… Expand

    I can't belive you guys did it. I can not believe that even Gran Turismo has ended up in the sights of greedy people, really a low blow to do it after 2 weeks from launch, you are shameful and Sony is ruining the gaming world and especially its supporters. After Horizon and Dying Light 2 I will return this too. Thanks Sony, thanks Yamauchi san for being so greedy.

    Une plaisanterie cette obligation d'être connecté non-stop. Ils ont intérêt de revenir en arrière au vus de l'impossibilité de jouer actuellement à cause de cette aberration. Ou comment détruire un jeu en quelques heures. Je parle même pas des micros transactions honteuses car très difficile de gagner des crédits dans le jeu.

But hey, still cleaner than how PolyPhony's been operating, as of late.

    I bought the game because most reviewers said micro-transactions were not needed to progress and make money in the game to buy cars. It seems that Polyphony Digital waited until all reviews were out, then nerfed the amount of money you get per race. I generally do not like such practices and regret this purchase. This was my first Gran Turismo game and most likely my last.

    Ruined by micro transactions and a terrible economy. The fact that this is a fully priced game yet most of the content is unavailable unless you buy virtual currency is borderline predatory. They nerfed payouts to make it even harder and direct people to buying in game currency. Totally removes the fun from a potentially brilliant game.

    The game has limited events with a short campaign , now with the latest patch existing races pay less and MTX is now the only real way to obtain cars it goes against everything GT was all about ! Greedy corporations ruin everything.

    Update: claim to have "heard" the community, in my opinion the rewards are still broken and polyphony's greed is still obvious. They have a long way before I'm no longer disappointed.

    This is a $70 game with micro transactions from Sony. They didn't enable pay to win features during the review period and added it in the 1.0.8 update. $40 for a single car is an obscene amount of money.

    Don't worry though, they've really tried their best to shove these MTX down your throat and you can tell with the recent update that has changed payouts for races. I believe it will take at least 3000 laps of the nurburgring to get enough money for a legend car.

    so so depressing. I honesty think this game is something that defines this generation and will continue to so so in the coming years, but with the direction Sony is going with it, maybe it will be defining in all the wrong ways.

    I also think that although the DRM doesn't make this a bad game, I don't see the need for it AT ALL.    … Expand

    The microtransactions are getting more out of control than gas prices! I would say, "ok i'll just grind it out" but they nerfed the credits earned per win by about %50 and took away the ability to sell your car. I wonder why? Shame on you polyphony. Hopefully this isn't the uprising of yet another video game evil empire. Back to Forza for me.

    The game is always online, so yeah the game was down for over 24 hours so no one was aloud to play the game.
    The game was pretty hard to make money to buy things for your vehicle or buying vehicles was hard because of the prices and how much you get from races.
    So a new patch for the game came out !!! Yayroght and Playstation cut the money you get from the races in half so now its so much hard to do anything.... Well the game is meh.. sometimes it looks beautiful.. but really there is a lot of better games out there to play..
    Xboxs Forza different racing game but it's fun and beautiful! Really play that instead if you can.. I give it a 3/10...
    Playstation get your stuff together.

    I wanted to try Gran Turismo game for the first time but I stopped playing as I saw how bad economy and microtransactions are in this game. I didn't expect these developers to be so greedy!!!

El videojuego está roto, este ha necesitado por lo menos 8 parches, el juego tira de un Pay to win agresivo que desmerita totalmente lo principal que propone el juego que de hecho es ganar excesivos puntos para comprarte un coche que te gane carreras, el menú de las carreras es feo y arcaico, los coches son feos, oos personajes son en 2 D y se hace de día en 4 minutos, no hay reflejos en los coches ni en los circuitos, no sé como la prensa le ha dado un un 8.7 no le llega para eso está a años luz de parecerse a un gran simulador de carreras como el Forza, y dicho esto como me aburro de sacarle caca a este ojete le dejo un 0 y me quedo corto.… Expand

    An excellent game that is ruined by a horrendous "always connected" requirement. The entire single player experience is leashed to a server that as of this writing has been down for 24 hours. If you are going to tie your game to a server, it is your responsibility to keep that server live. This is a huge black eye for Polyphony Digital

    Autos kann man nicht verkaufen. Die täglichen Belohnungen (Marathon), sind ein Witz. Die Belohnungen beim Sammlerlevel sind ab Level 25 ein Witz.

    Microtransactions. What a disgusting money grab. Everything is tailored to make the user want to purchase in game currency. Can't use cars in other modes unless you unlock them first in career which is just grinding or pay to skip.

    The game was a 7/10 on release but the difficulty to obtain cars and car modifications is obsurd. Then the update that followed the large down time made the game even worse. Now you have to spend lots of time grinding or buy credits. I regret preordering the special edition.

Personally I bought GT7 for collectibles, bought the physical special edition, install the game offline and find that I can hardly do anything with it!     Of course, now i have to give a downvote on that.

    MTX are not acceptable, to get all ingame cars. We already paid for the game and the content.
    And please patch always-online (except MP) out of the game.

    Just can't justify the outrageous price range yet acting like a free to play plagued with micro-transactions. The always online requirement leads to many issues and just general annoyance when navigating menus, pop ups all the time and everything takes that little bit longer to load. Gameplay is great but it's all ruined by terrible business practices.

The “random” spins to win “loot” are heavily heavily weighted, if not “rigged” I have no intention to play any longer until this is addressed and if I could I would return and ask for my money back for this money grabbing scheme

GT7 was no different and the quality of the game has been let down by faults at launch, glitches, trophy compatibility issues between PS4 and PS5 versions and worst of all slashing rewards compared to previous GT's. The car values have not changed, but rewards are sometimesBeen a Gran Turismo gamer for 20 years, always enjoyed the game, always look forward to the next game in the series. Kaz claims, in his apology for downtime, that he wants everyone to enjoy the cars, how when it would take 10-15 hrs of serious grinding to get enough credits for one of the 20m unicorn cars, that is not enjoyable gameplay. I am more than willing to 'work' for the cars I want, but when you only have 1-2 hours per day for gaming time I ain't spending it on this. It will no doubt be another 5 years before the next GT, but unfortuntaley I won't be waiting in anticipation next time.… Expand

    The game has too much PTW content, the developers should either remove the options to buy cars ou lessen the amount of ingame resourcers needed do buy one. The last patch also made even hard to aquire cars without spending real money.

    I have been so excited to play this game and honestly I have had a lot of fun with it. Although after the latest update where they nerfed the payouts and are pushing micro transactions even more I felt disheartened and disappointed. I genuinely haven’t enjoyed playing the game after that.

Even with passing all license tests and missions on gold, it may net you only 1 legendary car. Servers down for over 24 hours and all we got was a really poor excuse for an apology. Always online for a SINGLE PLAYER GAME is beyond STUPID. Do better Polyphony. Do better.

The game is an utter façade of falsehood and playing past the 'café' campaign reveals absolutely nothing underneath; very few racing series, incredibly low reward pay outs for everything, daily gambling that 99% of the time results in credits barely worth the press of the controller button, the majority of cars unavailable to purchase locked behind a used car dealership that seems to almost never change stock, a system that requires you to get lucky and win an INVITATION to buy a car for a limited period of time or an exclusive second hand dealer with absolutely shocking prices for cars making them unaffordable for all but the most hardcore or willing to purchase.... credits for cash.

    Yes that's it folks. A £90 game that then pushes you to purchase currency to buy cars. I am disgusted by this game, Polyphony digital should be ashamed of themselves. I do not buy a GAME to simulate my inability to afford the most expensive cars around, I buy a game to drive them. If that is what you desire, this is not the game for you and frankly as it is the game should be free to play as that is how it is monetised.    … Expand

Their mistreatment of the fanbase and overall lack of responsibility makes me think EA had a hand in the development process. It's 2022 and game devs are still taking notes from the worst.. I thought they knew better.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
