    A great driving game has been ruined by total greed. Not only are you expected to dish out $70 for a game, you have to have that heavily single player based game be always connected. Total BS. Then they decide in an update to nerf all rewards heavily, practically forcing players to pay tons of actual hard earned money for cars. Oh, and it’s also been offline for over 24 hours, making thisA great driving game has been ruined by total greed. Oh, and it’s also been offline for over 24 hours, making this game totally boring to play with its extremely limited offline mode content. I have no clue what polyphony digital is thinking. There’s no reason to buy this as is over any recent Forza title. Yes this game plays a bit more polished than forza IMO, but the selection of cars is greater in forza, in game currency is much easier to generate, and the car selection is more up to date than a BRAND NEW GRAN TURISMO! If they don’t fix the in game currency, demand a refund. This whole currency system to buy credits only rolled out AFTER reviews were in. Totally dishonest and sketchy from Sony and Polyphony digital.… Expand

    Unfortunately I would not recommend a $70,00 game that heavily uses microtransactions. That would cost 5 of the 10 possible points. The other 5 are due to the requirement of internet connection to play the Campaign. Outragerous. It surely has many great points, but they become irrelevant. Avoid for now.

    the best way to completely nuke your player base and good will:

    force the game to always be online to ensure your players have no choice but to download the latest MTX riddled software update and leave it with a kill switch to be permanently deleted when the devs can't be assed keeping the servers up anymore. short term profits over long term gains as always, good job guys

    Why am I giving it a 0/10? Simple, microtransactions.
    Remove them and the online requirements and this 0 will turn into a 10.

    Gran Turismo is a cool saga in general but from the GT6 until now they stat to loose the feeling, now this game looks like a PS3 game, is expensive in price and becomes in a pay to win, Sony is going to the hole with every new game with bugs, poor quality and cheap results for a high proce, this GT7 is a shae.

    The game is amazing. But you know why I'm giving this a low score. Absolute scummy micro transactions and drm ruined this game. All avoidable issues. Don't think I'll be playing for much longer.

    Screw this game. I have been a GT fan since I was a toddler and I could not be more disappointed. It's unfinished, barely improved on GT Sport and they've just added a patch making race rewards so low that it's impossible to get rare cars without either grinding 12+ hours a day or spending hundreds (and I mean hundreds) of pounds to get the rare cars. And this game says it's encouragingScrew this game. I have been a GT fan since I was a toddler and I could not be more disappointed.     I used to love the series. It did some questionable choices for the sake of money as far back as GT5 (selling single use paints as DLC, for instance), but it was never egregious, certainly nothing like today's games can get. GT7, however, already started out as mean with its rewards (chiefly the roulette spins that just happen to give you the lowest reward 90% of the time), and with the latest patch, they turned the game into a total grindfest that also tries to tug on your FOMO strings (e.g. the system of invitations: brief windows to buy expensive cars you most likely can't afford)... unless you'd like to buy some in-game currency *nudge* *nudge*    … Expand

    Seriously polyphony??first you shutdown driveclub as it was better than GT sport and now that you don't have competition you are looting consumers in the name of a half baked game.

    Why don't you rename yourself microtransaction digital.Grid legends is 200 times better than this and it doesn't have any micro transaction although ea published it.

    1. it's not a new game, it was supposed to be "nextgen Gran Turismo" while it's made on the GT sport engine. At best it looks a little bit refreshed. Like you'd bought a new GPU to your PC and finally can run the game on max.
    2. choppy animation: 30 fps replay doesn't cut it. That would not be a problem, but the game on multiple tracks has stuttered in certain areas.    0 out of 10 because:

    5. FINAL Blow: this game is built to force you to put your credit card on the table:
    - RNG reward cards apart from the smallest amount (negligible) of in-game money, give almost nothing else. I've almost finished story mode (40 lvl cafe) and throughout the game, all I got was 2 crap cars, and 1 invitation to buy a 3m car.
    - car dealership invitations that have a time stamp - buy now, or lose it. As the cars are ridiculously expensive, it's for the sole reason to create FOMO - use the credit card m8.
    - after race car card draw - totally gives the weakest/most common one

    They are open about their politics - nerfing the prize money in patch 1.08 was going full retard. Probably people weren't buying enough credits from PS store. Now they'll wait and check what happens. If the cash stream improves, that will stay, if not, they change something.

    Final word: Blunt, cheaply made, an unfinished cash grab.
    This should be released as a paid expansion to GT sport.
    Buy used or wait for an 80% discount.

    PS. Sony, if you think you can get away with this politics, you're wrong. MS will eat you alive if you continue this path.    … Expand

    At core, the game is good. But payout for race cut after update. Not everyone has the time to do grinding. Throughout the stages of the cafe, requirements are getting higher and car upgrades are not cheap. Based on experience, roulette tickets often gives the smallest amount of credits (5k only).     It takes 20 hours of racing to buy the fast car. You have to use real money to progress like mobile free game. Do not buy wait for f2p announcement

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
