I am not agains microtransactions, but if you are going to charge me a lot of money to have the "complete" game experience, then don't sell the game at full price at the beginning.
Fortnite is doing billions by giving the main game for free.
If I pay $80 for a game, I expect it to be complete.
This is the worst Gran Turismo so far.
    Stay away from it.

Egregious, greedy and predatory. Not three words I wanted to use to describe one of my favourite franchises but here we are.

The game and its mechanics are great, but the credit progression and the changes in the latest patch are just a spit in the consumer's face. On top of that, if you somehow manage to earn the credits you need through countless of hours of grinding, your dream car is not a click away from a purchase, but instead you need an INVITATION LETTER. The chances of getting one for the brand you want to buy the car are lower, than those of winning the lottery in real life. Absolute **** Polyphony Digital should make HUGE changes in terms of the game progression and purchase of cars otherwise this game will reach depths never seen before.

Game itself mechanically is a marvel. But the greed micros and DRM is not acceptable. I just want to be able to race without dealing with server maintenance. And I don’t want your cars that cost 200$ irl. Come on now what a joke. Wait until they rix their race payouts or fix there servers

Micro transactions have ruined this game. The point of a racing game is to be able to race cars you wouldn’t be able to in real life and have fun in doing so. Very disappointed with PD and Sony's behaviour regarding microtransactions. This was a highly anticipated game and it has been turned into a ruined experience for the players.

Where to start... PD/Sony have completed destroyed one of my favourite franchise. The 1.07 update was a complete farce and shows that "always online" requirement for the solo part of the game is a complete non sense. How can customers (who paid for the game!!! Regarding race win payouts which were cut by half (!!!) shows PD/Sony agenda of forcing players to use microtransations to buy extremely overpriced cars. I've never or will never use microtransations on a game for which I've paid full price (remember it's not a F2P!!!). Thank you PD/So y for ruining my experience of a game I've had high hopes for.

love the driving, graphics and amtosphere.
    BUT:
the credits are nerved in the latest update. you have to grind... very much. if you don´t want to... you have to pay cash. spending 40 bucks on a car is no problem. this is a full price game! i payed 80 euro for this. i have a job and i need to sleep so i don´t have time to race over and over again. And i am not willing to pay any more

And my expectations were met with a great simulator with a fantastic feel and love for cars, until about a week into the game's lifespan since release. Gran Turismo games are heavily based around their single-player campaign, this has been the norm and a large part of the appeal for many fans of the series. The problem is that with GT7, the expected "campaign" seems to be completely unplayable in this title without a constant internet connection. This game is Unplayable, inaccessible, and impossible to progress unless the GT7 online servers are up and running, and unless your internet connection is stable.

With that issue, there comes another fundamental problem with GT7, and that seems to be a mix of various gameplay restrictions that are new to this title specifically. In past Gran Turismo games, the player would be able to sell their cars in order to attain in-game credits used to buy cars and parts. These cars and parts are integral to progression, as the upgrade mechanic allows for older, more affordable cars to be modified and "grow alongside the player" so to speak. GT7 does not allow you to do this whatsoever. GT7 is the first Gran Turismo game where the player is unable to sell vehicles. This new restriction may be due to the new car collection-driven progression mechanic that Polyphony Digital has introduced, which makes sense on the surface. But this makes even less sense given that the various track payouts throughout the game have been heavily decreased, and car prices and part prices have stayed the same.

Polyphony Digital wants the players to grind too hard! It's as simple as that. This is a cause for concern for players who happened to spend $60-70 on a driving simulator game expecting full access to all the features of previous titles, and much more.

The most painful bit of this entire mess of issues is the microtransactions sector of core gameplay. With the issues stated prior, Polyphony Digital and Sony seem to have given players an escape from this incessant need for a perilous "grind". One can spend a very significant amount of real world money in exchange for little in-game currency.

This tells us players one thing: Polyphony Digital and Sony expect players to complete the immensely short and dragging "Cafe Mode" tutorial/career section, then grind and grind to attain better cars, be incapable of grinding with the steep prices afterwards, and then buy egregious amounts of currency to be only slightly closer to building a proper car collection necessary to progress.

As a player and long-time fan, I believe and can firmly state that this is akin to an elaborate cash-grab. This is Sony's leap for monetary gain disguised as a polished and well-designed racing simulator.

The basics of the game OK its gran turismo, its good ! BUT the campaign stops abruptly without endurance race in it. I'm disappointed with the life of the game. The difficulty of the permits and experience of the circuit is questionable. I hope next patch will be better .. Online not tested yet.

Always online DRM, scummy microtransactions, huge chunks of the game don't work offline in a single player game, predatory behaviour, worst of all, this was all hidden from the industry reviewers until after the reviews dropped. Classic bait and switch behaviour.

This is a full price AAA(A) game, and this level of nickel and dime asshattery would make many of the free to play game

That was done on a Monday, and on Wednesday, I got fed up with the game, with its mechanics and I already knew, in order for me to truly start getting great cars, I will either spend a numerous amount of time playing the game (I got other life events for me to be glued in to a game that wants you to grind nonstop will little amount of credits given after winning a race) and or macro transactions. So, I called PlayStation and requested for a refund. They told me they couldn’t because the game was downloaded to my console after purchased and suggested for me to reach out to the game’s developers instead. Couldn’t reach out to them so instead, I reached out to my credit card company for a refund which was executed. I’m disappointed! Expand

The 2 player split screen mode is just ridiculous, you can't even changes the assists for both players and if you like to race with any your garage cars, you have to go on your garage and set each one of them as a favorite. Gran Turismo Sport was soooooo much better on this....

Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
