    Classic franchise ruined by tuning the economy to encourage microtransaction purchases on top of the game's $70 sticker price. The rotating Legends shop and invitation-only purchases for some cars are manipulatively designed to increase FOMO and drive microtransactions. Car prices are inflated compared to previous titles, and payouts for race wins are much lower.     Imagine paying full price for a game to only get a fraction of it's content. I thought I was enjoying the game but I've just been farming for credits for hours and realised that's not fun at all. The mclaren f1 is on sale for 17 million credits and I've only managed to accumulate 1.5 million in a weekend of grinding.

    For what this game is, a sim racing game, it's beautiful. Cars visually look and sound amazing. However, there is a complete lack of variety when it comes to races. Aswell as the fact the the reward for participating is pathetic. This game literally makes you grind until you've had enough and are tempted to open your wallet. They already have $70 of my money and I refuse to spend more money on Virtual cars when I can play other games like Forza horizon 5 and get a bunch of badass cars without paying for them. What's even worse than the micro transactions which were hidden from the initial reviews is that the game has kicked me out the very first time I tried playing it because the server went down I could only play for 20 minutes. Then I couldn't get into the game for about 30 hours because the server was down again when I try to play my second time. I asked Sony for a refund and they denied saying that they would not refund the game because I downloaded it. Of course I downloaded it I had to do that to find out it was broken. They started claiming I could not get a refund because of their policies. I said where in the policy does it say that you can charge me for a broken game and then they told me that I downloaded it therefore it can't be refunded even though the servers have issues and I can't play the game on the two occasions that I tried. Plus the micro transactions that were hidden from initial reviews of the game surprised the hell out of me. I also didn't know this was online only and their servers around reliable. Sony is the worst customer support I've ever seen and I would not recommend this game to anyone. I'll be waiting for the next Forza game on my xbox. Shame on you Sony for stealing money from hardworking people and hiding behind your policies and offering **** customer service.… Expand

    The core game does not deserve a 0 Star review, but Sony has managed to taint this entry in the Gran Turismo Series with it's user unfriendly practices of microtransactions and the necessity of a constant internet connection. Pair this with many instances of server issues on Sony's side, and you've got yourself a 80€ Brick.     The updates to this game inspired me to make a metacritic account. A few weeks after launch they have increased the prices of the cars to a ridiculous degree. You have to grind the same tracks for hours to earn enough money now. In addition, the game was unplayable for a few DAYS because of some error and you couldn't even play offline. Shame on Sony and Polyphony Digital for these tactics.

    Obviemos todo el juego y centrémonos en su economía. Han literalmente roto el juego, han destruido la economía por completo. Han bajado las recompensas para que lo jugadores no farmeen, mi pregunta es ¿en que juego que tenga economía no se farmea? El farmeo no era excesivo, no se podían hacer 5 millones en una hora, había que jugar mucho, pero ahora más del triple mientras los micro pagosObviemos todo el juego y centrémonos en su economía. Es lamentable que un juego cueste 80€ (100€ la versión 25 aniversario) y te pisen apropósito para que o te desesperes jugando 12 horas al día durante 3 días o pases por caja y te gastes 60€ en pagar a cambios de créditos, es LAMENTABLE.     The DRM requiring single player events to have an always online connection is horribly discriminatory to people like me in developing countries with poor and unreliable internet connections

    Online single player mode needs to stop. I paid for the game! You do not control players Sony. Remember Cyberpunk 2077 and start to listen carefully to what we are saying. Your paid YouTube fanboys won't save you!

    This is the first game in 28 years I created metacritic account just to rate. This was such a great entry in the series. Admittedly flawed, but was truly great. Now, it's being completely ruined by microtransactions and grind to the point I don't even want to play it anymore. Absolutely disgusting what Sony is turning into..     The worst micro transactions I’ve ever seen in a game. A full priced video game with micro transactions that can buy you 3 to 4 more copies of the exact same game. What a joke.

    This is one of the few Gran Turismo games to feature:
    1) the inability to sell cars for credits
    2) always online DRM
    3) expensive cars
    4) laughable and ridiculous credit payouts

    This was being my favourite games for ages. I have being buying PlayStation consoles always because of this game, but things are getting way too expensive.
    GT sport is awesome. I drove many different cars and had tons of awesome fun.

    Great example how to ruin a game shortly after release. Every step taken obviously had only one goal; to increase microtransactions and squeeze as much money out of the players as possible. That behavior is absolutely unacceptable and will unfortunately make me and many other players quit. Hope they are satisfied now. Really sad as the game itself did have potential.

Core gameplay is good until you realise if you want to afford the most desirable cars you need to play the game as much as a full time job of spend a lot of money on micro transactions.     Grind turismo first gran turismo in 15 days completes all events for a game that was focused on single player is gt sport is more complete and challenging at this level finally changed the rewards down in races giving no alternatives to earn money other than repeating the same race dozens of times makes the game a bad game

    Ich hoffe die PLAYSTION Ony Fans schauen sich mal beim Xbox Lager um. Forza Motorsport hatt den Namen auch verdient, selbst Forza Horizen(Arcade) hatt eine bessere Fahrphysik als Grant Turismo. Hatte mir Grant Turismo Sport für 5 Euro damals gekauft und das waren schon 5 Euro zuviel Für GT 7 müsst    Sony ihr deppen, GT war und ist immer ein Arcade Spiel ihr habt es so dermaßen verschissen.

As someone who has been a fan of the Gran Turismo series since the original on the PS1 it is so grotesque to see what corporate greed and short sidedness has done to this franchise. Even if we somehow put aside the microtransactions and the insulting nerfing of anyYou have taken something I have looked forward to for years and utterly ruined any enjoyment I might have gotten from it. As someone who has been a fan of the Gran Turismo series since the original on the PS1 it is so grotesque to see what corporate greed and short sidedness has done to this franchise. Even if we somehow put aside the microtransactions and the insulting nerfing of any progression or the always online requirement for a single player game. It is so obvious this is half a game, the campaign is insultingly short and many of the elements half baked or barely implemented.… Expand

    The game has a great fantastic core but the game pushes micro transactions. The community found a decent way (not even really) to make credits.... They immediately did an update to screw us over. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone.... And I LOVED the GT series since PSx GT1. This is sad and pathetic.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
