Cafe missions are pathetic. Too linear and boring. Great gameplay and graphics, but no real joy in playing the game and progressing. People shouldn’t be surprised Sony pulls out everything to get us to use more money on the game.

Hahaha, what a fabulous disaster. Unfortunately i just bought this before checking it out online, no playing offline does it for me. I won´t even play to get to the rest of the misery, adios.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I was very hyped up for this game, even though it had to be always online (thought i could solve it somehow at home, but didn't think about their Servers, which went down for 30 Hours a few days ago leaving me with an Arcade Demo).
So I started the Game had lots of Fun everything was perfect, until I had the same Car twice and wanted to sell it like in GT6 so I could buy something better, well you know the rest you can't sell it, but you could buy credits with micro transactions, 2 million for merely 20$ what a joke.
But even though all of this was implemented it still was a fun Game, Gran Turismo was always grindy if you wanted the best cars you had to work your way through, but then with Update 1.07/1.08 the Payouts were nerfed so you had to grind double as much...

Now the game isn't fun anymore.
It is a free to play game combined with the Lottery Ticket invite letter FOMO which I already had (playing 9 hours straight, just so I could buy those damn Aston Martins, because time was running out and I didn't want to miss them.
The other option was to pay 40$ for the two exclusive for invite Cars.
This in my opinion is a game breaker mechanic solely focused on taking advantage of you psychologically and this I can't nor will I support.
The worst part about this is, it takes advantage of kids, because they will ask their parents to buy them this crap, in my opinion a game with FOMO mechanics like this should be illegal.
Don't buy this game it is a free to play mechanics game which costs you 70$ with the FOMO mechanics as a total game breaker killing all the fun I had in the first place.

Super short solo maybe takes two days. Jank physics everything oversteers even FF cars. Rigged roulette prize system. Can’t sell cars. Cars cost way to much and they just nerfed the bast way to make credits. They turned it into a micro transaction game with no content worth the money. How far they have fallen since GT2. Waste of money.

Just a disapointment of one of my favorite racing tiltles. Microtransactions and that you always need to be online is just terrible

I've been waiting years for this game and then comes this unfinished game. Short story mode, hardly any profit and the highest price for virtual cars.

Aggressive push for microtransactions, reduced race payouts and the always online ****
This is a $70 game, but to get ONE legendary car, you are forced to pay $200 or spend dozens of hours lapping the same course.
    I've stopped playing GT7.Not worth Metascore 87.

    Absolute disgusting cash grab.
After the short single player campaign (cafe), everything is tailored to force micro-transactions.
Pretty handy for PD and Sony that by the time the reviews started, there were no micro-transactions available... what a coincidence.
If the servers are down, you can not even play. what in the absolute f?

A pay-to-win game asking full price on the stores. What a joke. You can't even play single player with the console offline.

I was going to buy this, but finding out about how you have made micro-transactions a major part of game progress whilst also taking away rewards is a huge turn off. The game doesn't deliver much in terms of graphics quality, in races with rain you only realize it's raining if you use the car's internal camera, the dynamic weather advertised as a wonder doesn't even appear during the races, it left a lot to be desired. There’s car I’ll never be able to drive because I can’t afford the micro transactions to purchase them. And the boring grind isn’t worth my time. I can’t believe they did this. I am so upset. My $70 plus tax ain’t enough for these greedy cretins. F U Sony

such a disgrace for game that we have been waiting for a long time, micro transaction is suck. i felt so sad because i played this game since ps2 and never thought that this time has come for the series to join a microtransaction like other games. it annoys me and my friend have same opinion too

Gameplay : 10/10 The way the game plays during the races is fun and challenging and one of the best to date.

This game overall though is a big fat Zero due to car economy. Not enough credits for races, microtransactions do not help as some cars would cost $40 - 60 dollars for 1 car. That is almost the price of the game. Some care are time lock in that they can only be purchased under

If you are an old school gamer like I am and you are returning to the Gran Turismo franchise after some time, you are going to be rudely insulted. If you want to relive the glory days, get the ps2 or ps3 out and go back to the older games. GT7 is a turd wrapped in shiny turds. I'm so glad I didn't spend the extra money on the premium edition. The £70 i paid for the standard edition is already a huge waste of money. They have the cheek to expect you to pay more money to buy cars. Strike this steaming turd off your wishlist and go have a midlife crisis instead. Expand

Game launched on 4th of march midnight, 1.08 came out just over 2 weeks and 12 hours later, so it was not refundable after the payout nerfs. Sony killed this game just after a refund gap.

this is not accidental, this is planned, and i don't think i'll own a GT game or PlayStation again

What could have been an awesome game is ruined by corporate greed. The game economy and pushing of users to buy mtxs is honestly one of the worst I’ve seen. If not THE worst. Couple this with a lack of content, and you get my score. They could have made way more races across the board. More menus. No
Menu had tyre wear or fuel usage. No GR2 or GR1 races etc. Anyone can set up a custom race

The GT series has been a game I've followed since my childhood, the one and only racing game my friends and I all grew up on, and still follow as adults now.

The launch of GT7 in comparison to the past games is unbelievably disappointing, to name a few: * Parts of the game showcased in the lead up to the launch are unavailable - unable to sell cars * A heavy amount of content is locked

What I think the game needs is some content like Gran Turismo 4 had. Gran Turismo 4 was the last GT game I played and I think it would be best to go back in that direction some and reintroduce that kind of content. Making car prices in the game is unrealistic. We play games to escape from the world not be in it. I also hate grinding something that is supposed to be relaxing. I already grind in MMOs. I don't got time to grind a racing game with little to no content according to content creators. Oh and bring back Chamonix, that was my favorite rally race. As far as I could tell I didn't see it in game from all the Youtube videos I saw. Expand

Waiting to see a previous version of GT7 again. Introduced lately the cynical microstransactions strategy in such a pricey game is unacceptable. I would probably return my digital copy, if I could do this.

The essence of GT series (excluding, of course, the infamous GT Sport) is experimenting the sensation of driving a lot of different cars. The micro transactions skyrocket the game cost, if you still wanna have the same sensation. This is a demo game.

Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
