Cannot play single player offline when they decide to take the servers off. What even is the point of buying this? This is even besides the in race rewards being nerfed, and fed back to you as mtx. NO thank you, PD.

Pay 70€ for a game where an internet connections is always required, even for offline single player mode.

If I cannot enjoy it on my own, whenever and wherever I feel like it, offline and drm-free, I cannot recommend it to anyone. So long Gran Turismo, thankfully I own the previous installments and will be going back to those instead, where you only needed the disc and the console. Expand

Always online Internet requirement for the single-player career element of the game is a crazy, crazy decision. Even the online-orientated open-world playground that is Forza Horizon 5 has a fully-fledged offline mode you can play. The current 24 hour+ "server maintenance" downtime is an absolute joke, particularly on a £70 game that I have precisely zero interest in going online with. Add to the mix the predatory, stupendously over-priced microtransactions, and the indication that Polyphony are now nerfing credit payouts in popular races to encourage more players to spend over the odds to unlock content in a full-price game, and I'm done.

A real shame, because what's here is a good game. When it works. It's just ruined by anti-consumer business practices and Sony-backed greed. Avoid like the plague if you're still on the fence.

The game is really short, the campaign doesn't have a lot of races to actually do. Menu books give away any surprises. There's not much "Racing" involved since it starts you so far back, you just blow by all AI cars to try to catch the leader far in front of you. HUD is a cluster and you need it on to control some aspects of the car. Rain is random & will screw you over if you can don't rain tires for any car you race. Rain doesn't affect AI cars that much. This game is a scam and a microtransaction fest. Such a let down... I would recommend Project Cars instead or even Forza.

Que un juego en el que la amplia totalidad de éste sea offline necesites estar conectado online para jugar... no creo que hay mucho más que decir. Esperemos que Polophony recule y piense más en sus jugadores que en la cartera de sus jugadores.

Made obvious by promptly squelching credit rewards in order to coerce more MXT purchases based on data assessment. Sooooo pathetic. Made even more lame by their smarmy, ingratiating explanation dubbed as fostering a sense of "car culture fantasy" . The only culture you're fostering, Polyphony, is the slimy culture of soulless corporate greed. You deserve every shard of shrapnel from the review bomb going on right now. You won't get a single dime of MXT money from me....I'll happily grind the easiest credit earning tracks over and over to distort your data.....and will happily learn every exploit available to turn the tables on your repulsive approach to your predatory, shadowy cash grabbing tactics. Congratulations.....you've now completely submerged your reputation beneath a cesspool of sh1t. Hope you're happy Expand

This game is complete microtransaction grinding trash and single-handedly has made me seriously consider switching to Xbox this generation! I just took the game to my local video game exchange store. Screw Sony and GT7!

Remember the always on line that no one wanted back when Xbox One was announced? Here it is! Pay 80$ for a game that you don’t owned. Is exactly a GAAS one that people has to get it for free.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The visual’s and sound and racing, licences the whole driving and gameplay are awesome. Where GT7 falls flat on its face is the grind and severe lack of reward for buying cars in what is meant be a car collecting game. I will rate this game 90+% as soon as these race rewards and payouts are addressed. To even buy 1 rare car could take 2 weeks of grinding. To make matters worse the developers needed the races being used to grind cash in a pure money grab to try and get users to pay for credits. Katz I love your games but this micro transaction drive on something I paid 150aud for is a joke Expand

Disgusting, predatory and anti-consumer practices. It's beyond words how disappointing this is for what was for decades the greatest racing series available. I hope there is a day where we can play offline without any microtransactions but the reputational damage being done right now feels equivalent to the death of a family member. Trust is easily lost and difficult to win back.

Microtransactions and greed have wrecked this game. When a set of race tyres cost more then what you win for first place, it takes away alot of the satisfaction. Be prepared to play for hundreds of hours if you want anything but the most basic cars. Such an absolute shame

I deeply regret throwing money down the throat of this greedy company. It is a pity that there is no consumer protection that prohibits such disgusting business practices. I hope they choke on the micro transaction money while they get drunk on champagne on their yacht.

There are many things I like in this game, I finished all licenses, cafe and missions on gold medals, there is good sountrack and I generally enjoyed the game, but what I do not enjoy is that that after I finished all things I mentioned above, my balance is 350k credits. Why? Because for every stupid race I have to tune my car, buy many types of tyres and it costs so much money. For completing 24 minutes long le mans race with the strongest and extremely expensive Group C cars you get 5000 credits as reward? Really? Guys you will not see a single penny from me. Driving alone it the best in the series but the broken economy with focus on micro transactions (even more with patch 1.08) with fomo on top on that( the way legendary car market is designed). It's the gt with the lowest payouts in the series to date.

To be quick: Grind, grind, grind, grind. Donate, donate, donate, donate. 1 car worth 40 USD in 70 USD cost game!?!?
Upd. Patch 1.07 makes you grind even more, because it halfs the reward for winning race.

Polyphony have been shambolic over the last 24 hours, in which time they have undergone a 2-hr maintenance period, which has been extended for an unknown duration, meaning you basically can't play the game at all (don't even mention the lame mode that does still work). They have failed to update their customers during this period which is simply not acceptable.

This game is a full-priced one, yet they are treating it like they've used an F2P model. Congratulations on getting a step closer to becoming EA.

Was really looking forward to this game. I didn't expect micro transactions to play such a big role. And the mini roulette game should require an "Adult" ES-RB rating. I am going to put the game aside until those micro-transactions are removed. I paid 80 EUR for this and am not willing to invest one more cent to support micro-transactions. Definitely my last pre-order for Polyphony Digital games.

Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
