    I never expected to sink into Gran Turismo. I bounced off GT Sport, but there's something special about the new edition. The form, progression, and driving experience that keeps me playing.

    Great visuals, very highly polished by a developer who knows what they're doing in that respect, even if everything does look a bit too... shiny for my tastes, I can't argue with the fidelity on show here. The cars handle really well too - at its' core, it has everything a really decent driving sim needs.

    But the menus and user experience is horrendous. As in proper, bafflingly bad. And    Great visuals, very highly polished by a developer who knows what they're doing in that respect, even if everything does look a bit too... shiny for my tastes, I can't argue with the fidelity on show here. The cars handle really well too - at its' core, it has everything a really decent driving sim needs.

    But the menus and user experience is horrendous. As in proper, bafflingly bad. And because of the way the game is designed you are constantly in this menuing system almost as much as on the track, if not more, so it's a complete killer in terms of how enjoyable the experience is.

    Add to that very limited free play options - you can't design your own races or just pick from the selection of cars and... well, race. In a racing game. And then add to that an always online requirement for single player and hideous microtransactions that inevitably lead the game design to feature hefty grind mechanics and... well, you have a ball that has been well and truly dropped here.

    This should have been great. It isn't. And that's a crying shame. As said, the racing itself is fine - good even - but there's many more games, even within the GT series itself, which does it just as good, if not better, without having to deal with the maddening nonsense that surrounds it in GT7.

    Wait for a hefty sale or get it second hand.    … Expand

    I am a PlayStation fanboy and yet I am not satisfied by the game's graphics. Why is the game environment details as well as general graphics exactly like last GT game. These developers should have gone for a better looking game.

    The best racing game after the Gran Turismo 4! Plenty of single player content, amazing online mode, unsurpassed driving feel, fantastic sound and a great DualSense!

    As a former Gran Turismo fan I'm highly disappointed. The progression is significantly slower than in any Gran Turismo before and the AI is abysmal. There are 420 cars which can cost up to 20,000,000 credits. If you win a 30 minute race it will reward you only 10,000 credits! Buying just a decent car for like 200,000 credits takes multiple hours grind, legendary cars even more than 100As a former Gran Turismo fan I'm highly disappointed.     I feel like I must have bought a different game to everyone voting negatively?
    You buy cars with in-game credits, you earn credits with in-game races, just like always. The only microtransactions I see are to buy extra credits, if you don't want to buy them; don't!

    Anyway, now onto the game.
    It actually has a different career format to previous games, it kind of forces you to do specific races to win specific cars. I wasn't the biggest fan at first, I liked having a wider variety of races/championships to choose from instead of a more linear path. However, it grew on me, it meant I had to drive different sorts of cars, in different sorts of conditions.
    Another side was short races that resulted in winning a car, you win a race, and get a car? Seems a little mad, but honestly it's great for those people who love collecting cars, and there is a lot of focus on that in this game! There's a new feature of earning collectors points, which add up every time to win or purchase a car, so there's clearly a lot of emphasis on it!
    The tuning shop it brilliant, I always enjoyed tuning up cars in previous games, and this time round it feels even better, especially with being able to feel the changes made whilst driving, given the response from the haptic-feedback controllers.
    Livery customisation is great fun! You can design yourself a sleek, subtly faded colour design for your car, or go all-out on decals and create a crazy looking racing machine (or a 180mph billboard plastered with a ton of advertisements and brands if you so desire).
    Short one on the tracks and the cars themselves. These are great. Nothing more to add, they are just great!
    Graphics look incredible too!

    Overall it's a fantastic game, and I would say all the negatives to it are either nitpicking, or very situational. Definitely worth picking up, even if the price may be off-putting for some, perhaps games wouldn't be so expensive if we all didn't love them so much?    … Expand

    This game brings back the original essence of Gran Turismo. Incredible story mode, hundreds of cars, multitudes de events, greats graphics... It isn´t a strict cars simulator what makes it very balanced in terms of gameplay, with the better experience of dual sence since astro play room.

    Another masterpiece by Playstation studios, this time Polyphony Digital, has raised the bar for customization and single-player career mode in racing games, not to mention the amazing multiplayer brought from GT Sport. Must buy for PS users.

    Ignore the zeroes. GT is back and as good as ever. The only issue I have is after all these years and multiple titles in the franchise, they still insist on rolling starts which is fine but when you unlock missions catching the lead car can be frustrating. They get a good 1/5th of a lap lead in some cases. Other than that it's a solid 9 out of 10.

    Perfect racing game.

    Gran turismo 7 is a great game. It brings me back to the greatestnes of a full fledged numbered GT7, that we had with the likes 9f GT7. The new gameplay physics are also a nice improvement.

    One of the best Gran Turismo games in a long time. Just look at the actual reviews, don’t look at user reviews. The majority of these guys are Xbox fanboys than organize review bombs on Discord for any games they can’t play. Metacritic is embarrassing.

    For someone who is a newbie to the game, the sound and look of this game is amazing. Challenges are really well done as AI has a good balance mechanic.

    Very realistic sometimes comes with consequences in driving but plenty of ways to learn to play the game, has some small details that are very neat. Very detailed plethora of cars and customization.

    Amazing! Really fun, this is an RPG but with cars, the progression is awesome and you really enjoy earning new cars. This an awesome driving simulator and a really really great driving game.

If there is a disconnection in the middle of a championship, you lose the progress of the races and when the connection returns you will have to start from the beginning of the event, you return to the starting grid (pun intended). The sound section is rare, taken from pre-made sound libraries, like those comic TV series, only the recorded laughs were missing. It is not possible to start a championship and let the days go by. Anachronistic, boring, absurd and redundant menus. Day 0 already has extra payments and DLCs in the store to buy cars if you don't want to be stuck in the first races always. Cars that in GT Sport cost 4 USD here cost 40 USD. Ray tracing only in photo mode (it doesn't have it in the race). Decent car modeling on a poorly lit gray background to make a visual trick and highlight the car modeling (very cheap programming trick). The coffee mode is boring, there are no “text only” character voices, so let's read

    Lo Meh!:
    Accept it once and for all, Gran Turismo stayed in the 2000s and no longer knew how to advance, the last "Great" Gran Turismo was 3, after that neither the press nor the fans accept that the saga is well dead. This game looks more like a Gran Turismo Sport re-skin. Unless you have a lot of friends in garages and you want to dazzle them (or sell them) with those car posters that stick next to a model in a bathing suit, that's just what this game will do. I don't care if they say it's a "Prologue" edition and then they release a VSpec or ASpec version, I don't believe them anymore so save it.    … Expand

Cumpriu tudo que prometeu, principalmente trazendo informações sobre carros, marcas, designers, motores e peças, qualquer um que não tenha conhecimento nenhum sobre carros irá sair do jogo sabendo que aprendeu algo, por mais mínimo que seja. Cada detalhe do carro foi feito de modo fiel a realidade, ao ver o farol do Civic e comparar com uma foto real já se nota o quão longe um jogo pode ir, e foi o o GT7 chegou.… Expand

    Tengo platinado GTsport y llevo ya bastantes horas de GT7 y es una carta de amor hacia el autimilismo, superó en todos los aspectos a GTsport. Se ve increíble y las licencias son una delicia, el multiplayer es muy parecido a GTsport.

    One Ukrainian guy here, come to say this game is amazing! one of the best gameplay experiences i ever had, with extremely deep details everywhere you put attention. This pretty much recalled me a lot of memories from my childhood. In case you can’t have it because your leader is in rush against a pacific nation, maybe you should consider to get a new leader. To everyone else, it’s a must play.

    Pagar 70 dólares y que tenga microtransacciones que de micro no tienen nada, algunas cuestan la mitad del juego, es demasiada avaricia. Encima no aporta nada nuevo al anterior versión sport, los mismos autos pero más caros, conexión a internet permanente para evitar que hagas trampa en las compras, no en el juego, progresión lentísima para que te desesperes y pagues, decepcionado con loPagar 70 dólares y que tenga microtransacciones que de micro no tienen nada, algunas cuestan la mitad del juego, es demasiada avaricia. I'm tired of the certain critics over praising their games just because they've been conditioned to (to be fair Polyphony added the micro transactions AFTER reviews were out.) I don't care about console war bull crap. But it misleads consumers. And that's where it is a problem. This game is barely improved over the best GT games of old as far as game design. However, I'm glad it is actually like those games instead of the awful games in the series recently. This is great. The problem is, aside from graphics, I feel like they just added window dressing to old games. And the menu and unlock system is done very strange. I feel like I'm ordering at a restaurant instead of playing a racing game. I'm being hard on it. I am. But I expect more from not only Polyphony, but Sony. I actually may just stop buying their games (Sony). Unless they go on amazing sale, or are given to me. Because I'm tired of being hoodwinked. Even Forbidden West, why is no one talking about how big of a graphical difference there is between the game and their trailers. All I heard was "Sony doesn't have to fool us, this is what it looks like. And just imagine the fact it's not finished. It'll look even better." And the story in that game. Worse than the first. Sorry this isn't an HFW review. I'm just bugged in general that Sony is getting a pass. People are actually praising some of these decisions. The cars look good in this game. Really good. But that's not unique to the game. Forza and even Grid Legends have great car models. So the gameplay right? Nope. This game feels like a simulator of an arcade racing simulating a racing simulator. I know that doesn't make sense now, but you'll get it when you play it. It is all over the place. It's not awful. But it's not an 8/10 game or a 9/10 game after all that considered. They simply went back to the roots of the series, used the power of new tech to make it look better, changed how they present it all kinda, and now are charging people for fake money to buy these fake cars. Just do a car pass. Don't ever ever ever sell in game currency in games that aren't free to play. It's so bad. And to top it off, the game is a grind. And I can't help but wonder, did they finally go back to the grindy CarPG roots of the series just so they could get people to buy the currency????

    I think so. And you're lying to yourself and us if you say you don't think so. Anyway. 5/10. At best. But I'm giving it a 4 just for the extra 10 bucks i had to spend on this one. And for the awful micro transactions. Oh actually, another point for the always online crap. 2/10    … Expand

    Game is definitely not a new gen. Graphics almost same with old gen but it's more expensive. What's the point of paying more if I will play the same.

    Second, microtransactions annoying. They should release the game free to earn more on it. I don't recommend anyone.

    this is one of the best if not the best racing games on the market, it's a game made for fans of cars, it seems like the devs themselves like car's racing, the game even teachs you about the history of cars.

    The characters are like a retro polygon models its so nasty and the graphics are done poorly, no raindrops from the sky, only dark clouds and mist on the ground. The cars don't actually turn but its the camera that turns along the racetrack. The car always goes straight. Poor physics in gt7

It slowly unlocks as you progress thought the various races and tuning options unveiled via the car cafe. I does keep you coming back for just one more race. If you like racing games or simply enjoy cars there’s so much to draw you in. It’s not a perfect driving game but it does encourage you to drive a perfect race & over time confidence builds & you just enjoy it all the more. A solid 9 out of 10 from me.… Expand

    Gran Turismo acelera de nuevo.

    Nada más ver esa estupenda intro, uno ya sabe el amor que destila este juego con el mundo del motor. Gráficamente cumple muy bien, la banda sonora acompaña genial y el control se coge rápido. Me gusta mucho los retos del modo café y sacarme las licencias.

    Gracias GT por volver a tu fórmula de toda la vida.

I always have mixed feelings with Sony's AAA offerings, which seems to focus on providing a cinematic experience more than anything else. This time around they brought realism by using their cutting edge graphics and technology. This is not an arcade racer, it's a driving simulator. I commute to work 4 hours a day on average; GT cars behave like the way they did in real life, with its corresponding physics. You just can't 'drift' automatically like in Ridge Racer...you have to do it in a world with 'real world physics'. The car collection is great and its focus on the history of the companies behind them are exemplary. My biggest gripe about this game: it's a game aimed at middle aged 'customers' like myself and it has that certain sensibilities in its presentations and music. In summary, one of the best PS4 games out there. If you have a PS5, this may be a great showcase for your system.… Expand

    Technically there are no downsides to the game. Lighting effects, weather effects, car physics, it's all pretty impressive. really enjoying this game.

    A true marvel for my eyes and hands to play this on a PS5. Officially the 1st racing game that has me eyeballing a wheel to dig into sim driving even further then just the casual fun weekend of couch speeding. Amazing experience! Their are MT’s but I’ll be ignoring those and it’s easy to enjoy playing and unlocking only what I really care about.

The game plays like a mobile game and has the same microtransactions tactics you would see in a mobile game.

    The game loops the professor I mean the guy in the cafe is find 3 cars by doing 3 rolling start 2 lap races (and they are just about all rolling start) and 1 multi day race tournament. back to the cafe for your next mission from the professor for the next 3 pokem...i mean cars. I keep forgetting what game reviewing here. thats the core of the game ...very dry and boring. Next would be the graphics are meh not exactly PS5 quality. I Didn't bother looking at multiplayer options as i lost interest in the game. The upgrade system is very lackluster and boring. The basic GUI is meh. This will be the last GT game I ever buy. I will check out microsofts Forza or need for speed. They got the last dollar they will ever see from me on this crap of a game.    … Expand

    This game brings GT back to it's roots. Some people may not be patient enough and want every car given to them like Forza but this game makes you work for it. Progression is awesome in this game and makes you feel like you've earned everything you have. I believe it is a masterpiece.     This game brought once again pure nostalgia, hundreds of various cars, numerous tuning and design options. I would say that GT7 is literally one of the best racing games ever.

    This game is just a mistake, i don't really know were to start, incredibly boring, graphics in third person are simply horrible, if you want a decent car prepare to play for a long long time or prepare to pay a lot of money.

    Looks beautiful but the menus, constant menus, button pressing slow the game down to a crawl. Racing also feels a bit dull. If you not a racing sim fan than this isn’t for you. Also $40 extra for a single car = no thanks.

    This is one of those rarest games that I find most fun in Gran Turismo 7 since Gran Turismo 3. It's a shame that we're required to connect to the internet if we want the complete definitive GT experience in terms of microtransactions. Overall, Gran Turismo 7 is a beautiful giant leap and a bigger improvement than GT Sport by far despite that ugly flaw that I found quite baffling.

    The game itself it's a love letter to car lovers. Each car feels like it has a story mode on its own thanks to the GT Cafe mode. The cars are the protagonists of a racing game and Polyphony knows that, the 3D models are extremely detailed, the sounds are very good and the physics are the best in the franchise. The online mode grows from the very solid foundation that GT Sport settled.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.
