    Imo this game is overhyped. I have finished almost everything on my ps5 so here is my review. The game has outdated graphics and doesn't look like how it has been marketed. It looks like a ps4 game. It has basically no story and has ps1 npc's. It feels so repetitive and boring because the track designs and the mechanics (playing with a controller) are one of the worst I have everImo this game is overhyped. I have finished almost everything on my ps5 so here is my review. The game has outdated graphics and doesn't look like how it has been marketed. It looks like a ps4 game. It has basically no story and has ps1 npc's. It feels so repetitive and boring because the track designs and the mechanics (playing with a controller) are one of the worst I have ever experienced in racing games. The game is unbalanced in almost every way where microtransactions are not micro but megatransactions. Alot of cars are unobtainable or you have to play 1000 hours and imo this game is not even worth 25 hours of playing. The multiplayer lacks content, is very bad designed and is very boring. Sony should be ashamed that this is an exclusive. Being an exclusive is also the only thing that is unique about this game. I would save your money and skip this one or pick it up when it is like 15 bucks, because imo it is not worth more. I am very very disappointed.… Expand

    Online only, micro transactions, I can't believe this was full price. I requested a refund and Sony just laughed at me and closed the chat. Needless to say I'll be escalating this. Avoid. This.

    Absolute Referenz für mich in Sachen Grafik!
    Und man bekommt hier nicht wie bei der Konkurrenz aller 2 Minuten 10 Autos die schon über 800ps haben innerhalb der ersten menüclicks.
    Hier muss man sich noch anstrengen um alles auf Gold holen zu können/wollen.

    Four and a half days of heavy gameplay to finish the main "menus" campaign, nothing much else I feel like doing after that. All that's left are these hardass 10 lap races, "challenges" I don't care about, car collecting I don't care about, and online racing I absolute do not care for. Not worth €80. I sure hope they add more cups in future updates because I feel a bit cheated.     Basically Gran Turismo Sport with way less content, always online for single player and aggressive micro transactions.
    Single player content wil finished in 10-25hrs, laughably short for a Gran Turismo title.
    Save your money and don't trust the Game journalists.
    Game looks pretty & driving is fun, other than that it's garbage and 99% of the racing games out there will provide more fun.

    Well, 80€ for a GT Sports copy with some basic fuctions. Short Soloplayer campaing, poor physicks. Thats not a real drive sim. If you guyd didnt buy it already, wait for a discount.

    This game inherits a great multiplayer game from GT Sport and it will only get better. It is in fact the best console multiplayer racer. So why only a a five out of ten from me? The reason is simple, we already had a Gran Turismo Sport. A numbered Gran Turismo is all about it's single player campaign: The AI even on the highest setting is appalling!!!     A very good game. The physics are challenging for new players and old players. It's a very adaptive game and a passion card for all the automobilsm fans. One of the bests race games i've ever played since GT4. I still cannot understand why somethings are off, like the original tracks and some cars, but, well, it can be added with updates in future.

    The game is absolutely fantastic. I am new to GT series.. use to play GT in PS2 era and now I came back to play it again.. and this is one of the best racing game I have ever played. The driving seems like real driving. No doubt why it's called the best Racing Simulator. Though there are minor hiccups but that's not going to take away any rating point from my side. Will give it a 10. A solid 10

    The best racing game I've played in years. The cars feel fantastic, the graphics are top tier.

    I see people complaining about microtransactions but the entire game can be played without spending any money other than the purchase price.

    Considering this is a Sony exclusive, the brand, hype and advertising pre-launch this game is overall a massive failure and disappointment, a cash grab. The gameplay is mediocre at best, races are forgettable, the AI is laughable. I played a handful of the single player before realising that this game isn't so much about being a driving simulator as much as a combo simulator requiring youConsidering this is a Sony exclusive, the brand, hype and advertising pre-launch this game is overall a massive failure and disappointment, a cash grab. The gameplay is mediocre at best, races are forgettable, the AI is laughable. I played a handful of the single player before realising that this game isn't so much about being a driving simulator as much as a combo simulator requiring you to press a variety of controls at the exact right time to achieve the desired effect, not fun. Take that and throw in the odd near-impossible gold time to beat for "challenge" & microtransactions for when the "challenge" becomes too much and you already have the boring, generic and repetitive idea of what this game is trying to be. Customisation is minimal compared to other games and some more advanced features like being able to talk into your mic to ask for updates etc. doesn't exist either. It feels like you slap on the most expensive parts and your good to keep winning easily. Graphics are awfully misleading to the point they feel like a scam, any sort of realism you see in a cutscene, photo etc. is literally just a staged concept of your car driving over a photo of a real location. In an actual race the graphics are basic, washed out and looking more like something out of Fortnite than realistic. The story is a complete cash grab, built for what looks like a child audience. Most of the people involved in the story don't have voice lines, the way the game talks to you feels almost patronising, after a few hours I could take no more and did the next best thing possible, deleted it. I'm giving this a 2, that's for the fact it turns on and you can play it. Is it worth the price? No. Would I recommend it? No.… Expand

    This game is phenomenal. It’s a lot of fun and we’ll worth full price. Don’t listen to the haters, if you’re unsure then watch some of the great reviews on YouTube.
    Driving is great, the feeling of driving with the dualsense controller is great and a huge step up from ps3/ps4. Going to be playing this for a long time yet.

And Gran Turismo 7 will be one of many with blood on its hands.

    There is currently (as of this post) a car in said heritage museum (Jaguar XJ13 66’) that costs a 12,000,000 credits.

    Read that again.

    12,000,000.

    It will cost $180 CAD to acquire 12MM credits.

    For one car.

    Solid gameplay, fantastic graphics, all but undone by micro transactions.

    Did not buy GT Sport due to missing carreer mode. Now career mode is back, but with microtransactions at ludicrous prices. Do not like the always online mode, but can live with it. Will not buy if it stays like this.

I don't understand why GT can't put effort into the sounds of the vehicle. I don't give a F about your music crap.     Hmm, mega clumsy presentation which makes the first hours a dull grind. Good car handling and nice haptic controller feedback. I miss a custom championship mode. It's not a racing sim and the A.I. sucks. Could have been so much better.

    Review bombing en un juego de ps? Son cómicos esos haters que no tienen juegos para jugar y vienen a calificar con 0, es un juegazo, mucha gente dice que si las colisiones, que si el daño a los carros, que si blah, blah, no son carritos chocones, es un simulador de conducción y este juego es de lo mejor que hay en este momento en el mercado y gráficamente es precioso.

    Graphically it's ground-breaking, the visuals are just "next gen" at last. I get rewarded for learning lines, breaking-zones and can grind for my favourite car like the    Fantastic, absolutely fantastic.     Now, the online requirement and micro-transitions are not my cup of tea, but that is absolutely detracting people's attention / review bombing away from the actual core Game Play which is just staggeringly good. It's interesting other games with "micro transactions" such as skins, season passes, additional cars etc aren't getting judged so harshly?

    A game i have thus far thoroughly enjoyed and will sink many, many hours into.

    I'm so disappointed with this game. It looks great, it runs great. But forcing people to drive the worlds most boring cars for at least 15hours, paying out unbelievably small winnings and at the same time keep on nagging about "topping up your credits" aka Micro transactions, ruin this game for me. I'm selling it.

    For me this game is like a new FIFA. Looks almost identical, I will never use a lot of features of this game - like rendering cars on real photos. I give this game 0/10 because of the ingame store and expensive microtransactions in expensive AAA game. This feels like F2P game...

    I wish, i could be happy playing GT7, but i'm not. As in the preview told, getting back to the roots i expected to have grind for my cars. Have to be sticked on my used very first car and race for my money to buy the car, i needed to progress in the story... My first car is crap, but is grown in my heart because i sweat and blooded for winning races, grind for credits and keep the carI wish, i could be happy playing GT7, but i'm not. As in the preview told, getting back to the roots i expected to have grind for my cars. Have to be sticked on my used very first car and race for my money to buy the car, i needed to progress in the story... My first car is crap, but is grown in my heart because i sweat and blooded for winning races, grind for credits and keep the car maintenance. In my garage, i have EMOTIONAL BINDING to every car.

    But nope: You win cars for every BS like in other racing games ( Forza ). You first time visit something? Here, a new car! Have done a license? You get another one. This is how real life is, isn't it? When cars is gifted for every BS, there is no emotion for the cars, just another "item" you even can't get rid of it.

    This just make me sad as a Gran Turismo player from the first hour on. :-(    … Expand

    Good looking and fun. If you like race games, then this is a game for you. Only thing is is that van bevond a bit boring after a des hours but with a kittel break it is very fun again.

    I preordered PS5 disk version in Feb but on the release date i couldn't get it as Sony decided to cancel the release of the game in my country. After reading other players reviews i realise that i could be even good as i won't get greedy game (cost of the cars was already absurd in GT Sports) and Sony will not get my money. I suppose that im' done with GT series... at the beginning it wasI preordered PS5 disk version in Feb but on the release date i couldn't get it as Sony decided to cancel the release of the game in my country. En este caso hablando de Gran Turismo 7 es una enciclopedia virtual de vehiculos que ademas de ser divertido te enseña historia de las principales marcas de vehiculos asi como de los mismos vehiculos en una narrativaGran Turismo es una gran entrega para la nueva generacion. Creo que de nada nos sirve compararlo con Horizon Forza 4 el cual es un gran tributo a Mexico con grandes graficas. En este caso hablando de Gran Turismo 7 es una enciclopedia virtual de vehiculos que ademas de ser divertido te enseña historia de las principales marcas de vehiculos asi como de los mismos vehiculos en una narrativa progresiva y lineal la cual es una de las formas principales de ir avanzando en el juego. Al tratarse de esta manera su progresion, lo hace un juego de carreras diferente. Hablando de la musica cuenta con gran mezcla de musica de generos electronicos hasta musica clasica. El control Dual Sense funciona perfecto en donde cada bordo, choque o movimiento del vehiculo se siente. Si cuentas con una PLAY 4 o 5 te recomiendo que compres la edicion especial ya que cuenta con la version digital para el PS4 y en fisico para la PS5. Maintains the classic gran turismo feel while being modern at the same time. The variety of cars and tracks is great. Weather effects spices things up. Some nice licences to complete like in og ps2 gran turismo games.

    The game lacks a proper carrer mode and the main progression is tied to what should have been some side challenges for collecting cars and learning about them. The game has a lot of inconveniences for the player. You need to switch menus for things that should be available all in the same menu section. Car maintenance and tuning are separated into different menus screens, wide body kits and regular body kits are also separated in this manner. To simply change the colour of your car you need to create a livery project, choose your main color, save the project and apply it to your car. Cars are separated into 3 different dealerships and the opportunity to buy some cars is only available for a limited time. This wouldn’t be an issue if the game wasn’t obviously putting money roadblocks in your way to try and have you spend on micro transactions. You are unable to sell your cars but the game let’s you buy in game money as micro transactions.

    Overall its has fun gameplay and a lot of content but it doesn’t have a player first mentality like the old games had.    … Expand

    If you see the game the same as the losers on here that give it zero, that's what you'll get. The game is a long journey that educates you on the motoring world, teaching you every aspect, then leaves you competing online in league competition that never ends. Most of the nay sayers don't get past the first two hours. B.U.Y.

    It was great - real cars, I didn't have a ps2 since I didn't work then and there wasn't much talk about it in Russia - and only    Hello Sony and Polyphony Digital and KAZ

    It was great - real cars, I didn't have a ps2 since I didn't work then and there wasn't much talk about it in Russia - and only at the demo booth I was able to play gt4,
    For the sake of your game, I saved up and bought a ps3 and gt5-I played on an analog TV almost every day (amg school, Vettel Suzuka, Northern Loop and a lot of cars and stuff and stuff) and then gt6 -Senna-moon-stars sky, academy GT in silverstone!
    Later I bought a PS4 and GT sport-photo realism and super lighting seemed incredible at first!

I had to give this a 10 out of 10 because of the amount of stupid reviews that are present here. Anything under a seven is just shenanigans. Fanboys need to stop being so childish!

    Look I’ve been waiting years for this game, this is the first racer I would really classify as a true next gen racing game it’s drop dead gorgeous, incredibly fun and authentic, Gran Turismo 7 is the king of all racing games without any hesitation and deservedly gets a 10 from me

    For the first point, I think this is a game you shouldn't miss. It's one hell of a polished game with much better physics than ever before, almost impeccable graphics ever on a gaming console, and a ton of challenging content to finish. Not to mention the sport mode if you are to compete with other players online. Sure, it's not as realistic or professional like other purist sims, but it's the most balanced one between sim and entertainment---a kind of game that is rare to find these days.
    For the second part, it's hard, especially when you turn all the assists off. The tire model this time is much more realistic than that of GT SPORT, the weight transfer is direct and delicate, the rain condition enhances the physical side-effect to another level. You have to have a strategy for the whole race and potential weather change. It's also very rewarding to play for all that I mentioned above, every race is like a small test to your ability to control the car.
    And finally, it's a painstakingly slow game. You would most likely spend countless hours of playtime to finish the basic challenges, then another countless hours to multiplayer. There are tons of content to try and err if you truly invest in it. On the other hand, if you are in for a thrilling ride, this game might not be for you.
    There are one major problem with this game tho, about the grinding and in-game purchase. Bad example and end of the case. I paid $90 dollars for the 25 years anniversary edition, it's a joke that I still have to cash in more to get a digital car. Minus 1 there.
    Finally, about the political issues. I'm afraid I still have to evaluate the game based on the game itself. If politics were involved the probably in the following year many games from many studios would be labeled 0. This is a platform for me to give a game its credit for the content.
    But what I will give an ABSOLUTELY ZERO to SONY --- if you really want to pick a side and ignore the other, the least thing you could do is to provide the refund option for those who couldn't play it for such reason, it's just stupid to cease the support all of a sudden for those gamers who did nothing but were born there.    … Expand

    requires online connection to play single player. kicked me out of a single player tournament that i had invested 30 minutes into because of "server maintenance" this is ridiculous, i feel like i dont even own the game. regret spending 75 bucks , plenty of other racing games i could have bought instead.

    I am not interested in investing any time in upgrading low grade cars that I'm forced to get in order to progress in the game. The progression is super slow and rewards are dismal. You start with the requirement to win some basic cars that are completely lacking any character and ugly. I wouldn’t buy them in real life and even more so I have no desire to own them virtually. Some gamers say that they love to start modestly and build their way up slowly but I don’t like this idea- it’s not fun whatsoever. I want to race, and I want to drive the unique and special cars without having to own uninspiring models. The characters, static humans that you have to interact with throughout the game are exceptionally annoying and patronizing. The so-called “map” you have to navigate is boring and I certainly prefer the previous menu set up in GT Sport. I was so frustrated with being forced to acquire the basic cars I don’t care for, that I paid too much real money to get some decent cars right up front but no, it didn’t help. Even if you pay real money for cars that are now ridiculously expensive in comparison with GT Sport, on top of purchasing the game for 70$, you still only have access to a limited collection of cars! Used cars for that matter! Everything is still locked and to get access to any additional tracks will still require you to do boring and repetitive tasks to acquire those previously mentioned basic cars which I don’t wish to have to begin with. I don’t want to know or care to know anything about their history and definitely have no desire to tune them in order to make them more decent, especially because you are no longer able to sell cars you were forced to get in order to progress in the game. Also, the tracks themselves look stretched and artificial, there is no sensation of speed and making a turn feels cumbersome and disorienting because the graphics are completely off - your car doesn’t turn but the camera turns instead. I absolutely hate this release and found it sloppy, soulless, dull and overhype far beyond reality. This release is awful and shame on people giving it high ratings because it doesn’t deserve it one bit. There are more irritating things and unnecessary prolonged steps to describe but the list of complaints is too long for me to bother. My general sense is: not only have I not enjoyed the game - it left me furious... especially after reading some of these over the top reviews… are you kidding me?? What planet are these people from giving it 10 out of 10 ?. It’s poorly thought through, poorly implemented, egregiously money grabbing, uninspiring, half baked, overhyped, overpriced piece of software. I am furious. Unless you like the slow and boring torture of the entire experience -don’t buy it! I have been totally cheated by Sony. I am done trying to play it.    … Expand

Проснулся и сразу пошёл играть, но там замок.

    Я очень разочаровался в японцах, вы хотели пробудить ненависть во мне, но у вас не получилось. Я даже мог бы понять, если б моя страна была не права, но это не так. Так поступать, не разобравшись в ситуации, это очень глупо. От кого, но от вас я точно не ожидал. От людей, которые подарили нам философские знания из аниме Наруто, что надо на ситуацию смотреть с каждой стороны.

    Либо если вы обдуманно решили поддержать фашизм, как вы это делали в 1945, то ничего удивительного. Но вы должны знать, что добро всегда побеждает зло.

GT2 and GT4 provided details and a vast choice of cars and tracks. The used car dealership in GT7 is a flop, like 15-30 cars in there at best. We let polyphony slide with GT Sport since they innovated and implemented the penalty system which was new to the franchise and a new direction. GT6 had standard cars which were cars that we're ported from GT4 but still rendered as PS2 graphics, which was a complete joke. GT7 was suppose to hit the nail on the head.

    The execution and presentation is gorgeous. The details are so ultra real and beautiful, it is a true therapeutic experience you will not get in any other game. It's cannot be overlooked, it is truly a graphical marvel. The menus and design as good as the latest Apple product trailers. I will forever respect and admire the minds behind the creation of Gran turismo games, but consumer enthusiasts of the franchise are getting sick and know it's always something with them. And what the heck is that BS "music" mode? Forza Horizon 4-5 have an excellent selection. So good that Gran Turismo most likely can't ever match at this point.     I've played GT7 for over 5 hours and suspect half of that has been in the menus. The gameplay is great but it's so infuriating bouncing around different menus to get the right car ready for a race to unlock the next track. GT7 feels incredibly dated compared to Forza Horizon now.

    This might be the biggest disappointment Ive ever seen come from gt game, gt5 was a disappointment but they at least tried and were wasting a ton of resources getting everything up and running on the ps3’s extremely complex cell architecture. There is no excuse for this, they've had all the time in the world for this game and have come out with a GT Sport upressed PS4 game with a GT4 layout. Price of the game is worth it due to the sheer amount of content thats packed in but compared to the ps2 and 1 era classics, Gran Turismo has fell from grace as the ultimate simcade racer. If turn 10 get their shi*ty physics together with the new Forza Motorsport, people will really see how far Polyphony have fallen as the only reason thats keeping me from fully converting me over is their terrible physics and even more laughable AI    … Expand

This is not a Gran Turismo, nor Reference and for sure, not the best Racing Game 2022. It's nothing more like a Prologue version and far beyond overhyped.

    Don't be fooled by the haters, this game is excellent top to bottom. While there is no 'uber' neural networked AI to smash you yet, the AI itself is vastly improved and cars are constantly trying to overtake - however since its GT and you can tune your cars to be so much more powerful a lot of races can be made very unfair in your favour :)

    The weather effects and new physics model is just outstanding from a hardcore simulation sense driving this game with all the assists turned off is very close, and in some ways better than the best hardcore sims out there - this is not a joke, nor a exaggeration, when this comes to PC (please please please), this will be very much welcomed by those fans.

    Graphically, its a dream and due to its immaculate interior and exterior detail really can give you just a little slice of that feeling you get from actual car ownership.

    Un juego muy adictivo, me encanta la sensación de realismo al conducir con la vista en primera persona. El juego tiene mucho contenido y es sin duda una oda a la historia de los mundo de los autos y los motores.

    GT7 is an exceptional game for those that love sim racers. Very polish and fun to play.

    I haven't found a sim racer better than this, so if you like this type of games (like I do), go for it... you won't be disappointed.

    80$/80€ for a cross-gen game with nothing that justifies or is worth the +10$/€, 3 times less cars than in GT6 and almost 2 times less than in Forza Motorsport 7, No new race brought by the game (first time it happens in the franchise !), Microtransactions in-game prices    Internet connection required for the solo campaign (WTF),

    Packed with lots of content There are micro transactions but every car can be bought with in game credits and the game gifts you free cars every day!!!

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
