    Coming from previous masterpieces like Gran Turismo 2 and 4, the seventh installation is a big letdown.

    Sure, the graphics are good and the photo mode is good, car models actually represent the real things, and there's a bit of customization, but that's about it for the good things. The game lacks content. Like a lot, compared to the older games in the series.     The game lacks content. Like a lot, compared to the older games in the series. I came to the game expecting older day-to-day cars, tuning them up and enjoying a fun run, like in Gran Turismo 2, but all this game focuses on is super high end cars and concepts. They promised and did deliver on "over 400 different car TYPES", which includes like 5 different GTR R35-s and 3 different EK Honda Civics.. (and not even an EG Civic!).
    And if you even want to buy the high end cars and concepts - be ready to grind DAYS for one car because the microtransaction days are here.

    Driving mechanics feel off too, a lot of the RWD cars just act like the tyres really aren't connected to the ground. At any point your car can just go into a spin, and that's with the BEST tyres and suspension and downforce settings. And once you go to a spin, there's usually no coming back.
    Tracks are sort of lackluster too. Very few old masterpieces from older games.

    The HUD is clogged up and a bit confusing. It works, but it could be better.

    One big complaint that I share with many other people, is that the game is always online - in singleplayer. Which is absolutely ridiculous. If the servers were to go down (which they did for 30 hours), you can't play the game. Which also shortens the lifespan of the game by a considerable time. You can still play Gran Turismo 1-6. You can't play Gran Turismo 7 when it's as old as Gran Turismo 1.

    They promise new tracks and cars with upcoming updates, but content wise, I think it'll never hold up to Gran Turismo 2 (which is 23 years older than this game!).    … Expand

    I play the game for fun so playing on easy. But I can not win any race anymore. Always start last and before I finish I cant get first of second.

    Disgusting behaviour in relation to the micro transactions, particularly once the bulk of reviewed were already published. I would never have purchased this if I had know how they were about to alter the product I had paid for.

    I naturally won’t be putting any more money towards this company/publisher now or in future.

    Graphics isn't PS5 at all, game look's like GT Sport on PS4. And rain... You can see rain only from inside a car so they added a grip bar that show you on what condition you are driving - nice job dev.

    In Poland we have nice name for these jackpot machines - one-hand bandit. And these name for me is a synonym to Polyphony Digital and their Gran Turismo 7.

    Streetcars with FR and Race Tires Soft are not driveable like in Gt Sport,
    in GT7 the front gets too much grip with rs tires the car spins automaticaly. Please Polyphony fix streetcars with race tires.

    First problem : need to be online for a 90% solo gameplay. With the previous maintenance problem, that's a shame to buy a game and can't play it. And now : they're decreased the in game rewards to avoid the players to farm the same race... but how can we earn credit ??? Ah yes, cashplay of course. For a 80€/$ game. No, thanks

    The essence of GT series (excluding, of course, the infamous GT Sport) is experimenting the sensation of driving a lot of different cars. The micro transactions skyrocket the game cost, if you still wanna have the same sensation. This is a demo game.

    Prior to patch 1.07, I'd have given this a 10, since 1.07 I haven't bothered with the game at all. There is now way too little single player content to make any progress, as the winnings have been slashed and the multiplayer payouts are a joke. For the first time ever, my PS5 is going to be my secondary console and I'll be using my Series X as my main console going forward.

    Pathetic rewards, presumably to drive players to the shop for credits - which are horrendously overpriced.
    Dirt/Rally is truly abysmal - not sure how on earth this passed Quality Assurance.
    Cafe Menu system is too linear and makes me feel like im playing a car collecting game rather than a racing game.

    The game experience is wholly ruined and any talk of “community” is shamelessly hypocritical PR blather. I am genuinely saddened that I’ll never get to enjoy playing Gran Turismo again. There is no joy left in it, just profit.

    I've played Gran Turismo since the first one. This game is NOT the series that I have loved for almost 20 years. Micro transactions have ruined this game. Cars are insanely expensive and the races give abysmal rewards. I regret buying this game and wish I could still get a refund. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME

    Always online, lies and hides egregious MTX greed to gain higher than deserved Metacritic scores, cars feel like the track turns under them, no damage model, unfair progression designed to make you pay and honestly, visually it looks like a late PS3/early PS4 title most of the time. Sadly, GRAN TURISMO IS DEAD.

    Yet another grind heavy, cash stingy racing sim from Polyphony.

    Poly just don't get it, we don't want to grind for days on end just to win some small measly pittance amount of cash.

    Don't forget the Always Online issue, we all saw how that can end when the servers went down, plus it $ucks for off-line solo users.

    Where on the box or in digital description does it say this game can ONLY be played if you have an internet connection? Whether playing online or offline modes....there is no offline! Don't make the same mistake I did and skip this game...HARD!!

Multiple races I was holding the lap record and cannot somehow get anywhere near the first 3 places. Cannot play this game without being connected to the internet. Game broken for 30 hours. Game appears to abruptly end out of nowhere. There are 6 classes of licenses, 3 of which the game only uses as challenges, which do not unlock further content which makes no sense. Daily mileage requirement to get a reward which is often very little is complete trash. Microtransactions for credits, when most races offer very little credits, and the ones that do have ridiculous amounts of laps. Game patches out high credits races and exploits. All of this completely tarnishes the experience, making me not want to play it again. Honestly beat all content in maybe 24hrs of gameplay. No formula racing, or meaningful game modes that aren't just annoying. Formula racing offers multi-millions of "credits" when an athlete wins, so the low credits is just complete bs. Sport Mode takes TOO LONG to match. Many achievements are arbitrary or ask you to do ridiculous amount of repetition which it obviously expects due to the low credit count per win. Wow. Do not buy, honestly just play Gran Turismo 3 on an emulator its the best one. Some of the cars are timed buys and literally sell out. How can you get all the cars with such mechanics without just spending hundreds on credits?… Expand

    I won’t go over the usual issues that everyone has already covered- except to say ‘agreed’
    I know 1.09 will lead towards fixing some of the other issues, but always online HAS TO GO.

    I didn’t pay $120 to have a game I can only play if I have internet AND Sony have servers online.

    This game is great, but the paid money package is really suck, I will use the button macro with playstaion remote play, choose the second event of the daytona track in the Americas, and use the dodge srt car to continue to use this method Withdraw money, I won't buy paid money packs for a dime

    Literally unplayable as its been down for more than 30+ hours. It's more unplayable as you have tk spend hundreds of dollars just for 1 car or spend hundreds of hours replaying the same map for a measly amount of credits.

Apart from the micro transactions which is something that satisfys the shareholders, the fact that a single player game cannot be played offline is a major factor for me and I strongly advice everyone not to buy games who go with this method.

    Think something, not only a downtime, you bought a product any consumer one and in order to use it you need the companys approval to do so. What if the company shuts down its operations. im not purchasing the product im actually renting it. But I got a purchase receipt of a product not of a service.     I paid 70 Euros for a game that is playable just on-line. Polyphony needs to fix this immediately due to respect for his fan base and users. Fix the offline mode. We all feel cheated. GT7 became no more than one of those mobile games that are playable juts on-line; the only difference is that to play those game you don't have to pay in advance 80 Euro.     Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
