    Assassin's creed Valhalla is not an original assassin game, however I still love the style of AC Valhalla.
    To me the stealth and exploration are still fascinating, the story and graphic portray stunning.
    I spent nearly 250 hours for this game!! Great game

    In my opinion one of the best AC games so far. I did not like the protagonist in AC origins. With Eivor I can identify myself. I did not like the overall storyline in AC odyssey & despite all of my attempts, I had a bad ending. Here the ending is interesting & understandable. Above all the stories of every kingdom & the characters are all individual & stay in my memory (compared to many ofIn my opinion one of the best AC games so far.     I only have to negative feelings about this game. 1) Fighting is still not challenging enough & feels for most of the game the same (I would wish something like the combat of Ghost of Tsushima) 2) The game is too long. I needed around 90 hours to play through the main campaign. Nobody needs such a long game, perfect length for main story is max. 40 hours if a game is good otherwise it gets a bit boring.    … Expand

    Juegazo!!! Las últimas 2 entregas de la franquicia han sido espectaculares. Me encantó la jugabilidad y las mejoras que implementaron respeto a Odissey. Solamente cambiaría el final de la historia porque no cuadra del todo pero eso no quita que sea muy bien juego.

    Spiele das Spiel seit 2 Monaten und bin überrascht.
    + Grafik top, FPs Leistung konstant 60, keine Laggs, Combat System vielfältig, Stealth Attacken inklusive, vielfältige Quests

    +- ab und zu Bugs/Glitches, die aber nicht so gravierend sind

    - das Movementsystem ist echt träge, fühlt sich langsam an

    Kann es jedem empfehlen dennoch !

    My first Assassin's Creed game! And boy howdy have I enjoyed it. I got it on release and now I'm almost 300 hours in and I'm still not done with the main story because I know once I beat it that's it, there's no more main story. What have I been doing for 300 hours? Literally all the side content including daily contracts. Typically hate microtransactions but the fact that they offer theMy first Assassin's Creed game! Typically hate microtransactions but the fact that they offer the money currency and shop in game is a happy medium. I could justify spending the extra on the season pass because of that.

    My one complaint is every once in a while I experience a game breaking bug and I have to replay a section over again. Over a year into the game I feel like this maybe shouldn't be happening? I've played older and newer games that don't have this issue.

    I'm also not a huge fan of an over crowded map but this is more of a personal preference than something inherently wrong with the game.    … Expand

    Thank god Ubisoft is still making games with normal combat, for people who actually have real life as well. I'm so sick and tired of these awful Souls games that have absolutely worst combat possible, i don't have time to fight every boss 30 times to learn their patterns, no thank you. Hopefully Ubisoft doesn't change and go that Souls route, then i would give up this series for sure. SoThank god Ubisoft is still making games with normal combat, for people who actually have real life as well.     La historia del juego es muy buena, el mapa es enorme y las actualizaciones que ha ido recibiendo el juego lo ha hecho mejorar poco a poco. Un gran juego al que jugar decenas de horas si te gusta explorar y perderte por los mapas de los juegos.

    I have seen that some are trying to point out, that this game is empty, that's not true at all. It has just enough things to explore, but some of the empty areas are very much intentional. Red Dead Redemption 2 was exactly the same way. There are areas that have interesting stuff and then there are areas of just nature, beaches, forests etc. After all it's trying to be realistic presentation of 800s Norway and England. It would be awful, if behind every corner was some monster to fight with or gang of soldiers. That's one of the reasons why Odyssey failed, it had too much unnecessary content and thankfully Valhalla fixes that mistake.

    Story in this game isn't sadly strongest, but it's not bad either. Just somewhere in between. Some missions are very fun, some are very basic and even boring. For example i was way more interested in Black Flag's story. But to look at this game as a complete package, it's still very nice and overall game design/open world design is way better than last two entries.

    I have no idea where AC is going next or what's happening with this series, but if Valhalla happens to be last decent AC, then at least this series ended on positive note.    … Expand

    Nice game overall, i would almost say best of the last trilogy. It's a close tie between Origins and Valhalla, both have their strengths and weaknesses. I think i just like open world in Valhalla little bit more. Story could have been more interesting, but it's not trash i guess.     I absolutely LOVED exploring the maps, finding rare items and super cool, smaller quests. The main story is    This comes from someone who HATED Odyssey and has 180 hours+ (and counting) on Valhalla. Is it the perfect AC game? No it isn't. AC Valhalla has glitches, bugs, repetitive gameplay and a lack of proper closure but these aspects do not prevent this one to be an amazing game.

    I absolutely LOVED exploring the maps, finding rare items and super cool, smaller quests. The main story is interesting and kept me engaged to the end. The graphics are beautiful and the game runs smoothly on 60fps on the PS5. Eivor is a fantastic character and so is the cast of characters around her/him.

    Not once I got bored with Valhalla. Odyssey was bloated and boring and endless but I never had this feeling from this one. Hope Ubisoft stays on this track.

    I have only 2 complaints, though: 1) the game can be buggy sometimes and this has an impact on quests and sidequests (fishing is broken TO THIS DAY, January 05th 2021) which means you cannot finish the fishing quests, as 2 fishes cannot be found. And 2) I did miss a "proper closure", a sense of finishing the game, seeing the credits roll. The game simply "ends" and you start the exploration. I know Ubisoft does not want us to feel the game has ended since this is business and they want to keep expanding it. But the game - and the team behind it - deserves an ending and recognition.

    All that being said, Assassins Creed Valhalla is amazing and deserves to bem played.    … Expand

    Although fire is stupid in this game, you can get killed by fire you aren’t even seeing and I also don’t like how the game makes you either go full completionist or you need to lower the difficulty because I did a LOT of side quests and yet I’m below the recommended level for the next story mission. Other then that the game is awesome.

    Here you play as avore, becauseubisoft cares more about its precious sales you chose either man version or female version because ubisoft is afraid to commit and want to make everyone happy.. you set off on a Viking adventure to basically take over England during the dark ages.. and sadly this is more of a Viking game with assassins creed mechanics rather than an assassins creed game where you play as a Viking, the lore of the Templars and the assassins is there.. infct the whole uncovering the order side thing odyssey had going on is valhallas main focus, and I love that… however the game built around it is the most hallow money grab of a game in probably the entire assassins creed series… they sold you on Vikings, rob and pillage, this is fun about 0 times, its never fun going into an area for a raid, opening chests and collecting all of the loot, its repetive and bland, and that can be said for the entire game… im one to uncover every inch of an assassins creed game, read very document, platinum it.. but assassins creed Valhalla is so hollow that I found myself skipping through a lot of its dialog as the story is broken up into individual kingdoms you go out and help… this is less of an assassins creed game, you know.. a game where you relive memories of someone that was supposed to have actually existed to learn more about the orer and the places of the pieces of edden, and just a boring Viking game where you go from kingdom to kingdom taking care of that kingdoms individual problems, it’s a 70 hour long game of individual mini stories that by themselves could be okay experiences, but in an assassins creed game they feel like a waste of time not adding anything to the overall world of assassins creed, no one will remember Valhalla as a step forward for the series, infact in a lot fof places Valhalla steps back, for example its loot, there is next to none, yet you still collect it from time to time, its such an awkward system that you forget there are other weapons and armorus you can pick up.. youll mpost likely stick to the first or second piece of gear you find in the game and stick to that all the way through, especially thanks to the grind heavy upgrading system here that require a ridiculous amount of recourses to upgrade weapons… where Valhalla steps forward though is you making choices that actually matter, your choices have consequences, you have different paths with different characters you can go down that don’t feel empty like odyssey did.. but back to the intial point, this is great if assassins creed were an rpg seres set in different time periods… but its not, its meant to be an experience of a story already told, not an unwritten story of your grandpa and you get to chose if he banged other Vikings or not… tell me if avor was gay or not, don’t let me chose, again.. commit to a character, tell me their story… this is not a solution to the story telling critques players have.. this is assassins creed, not dragon age.. tell me the story as it happened… but this is thebiggest assins creed game to date, though bigger isn’t always better, another first, this s the first time I gave up on collecting all the things in an assassins creed game, for one,, again the world felt boring pointless and hallow, even the side quests that were supposed to be the talk of the town, except for the mini game orlog, it had its hooks in me like gwent, and I love hunting down the zealots of the land, bringing my back to the original assassins creed.. but the colelctables here, the game just makes you work too hard to get, one too many are locked behind story progress – why even put it on the map then… and evry other one ios locked behing an environment puzzle.. I don’t mind this eveyr once in a while , but map cleaning in assassins creed is a form of meditation, if I have to figure out how to get to literally every chest in the world, it isn’t meditation anymore, it’s a puzzle game outside of the story, no thanks. Also traversal here is probably the worst in the series too, its wakward, plenty pof annoying deaths at the hands of climbing, The biggest disappointment overall is this games story, the worst ending in history if you can even call it an ending and the outside of the animus world features the least likably protagonist of all time, smoking doesn’t make you look like a badass, it makes you look inconsiderate of the people around you, but again, assassins creed Valhalla is a great game, the combat is fun, you can go down different paths to play the way you prefer, brute, ranged, stealth, or a mix of all 3…

    Jogo lindo, jogabilidade gostosa de jogar. Porém o jogo é extramente longo, fica cansativo no meio pro fim. Só jogue se você realmente gostar de AC e de jogos grandes como The Witcher e FF 15.

    I had not played an AC since the pirates, and it has been good for me because I took this one with great enthusiasm. It's been 120 hours of long journey to complete it. The Viking setting is very successful and graphically looks spectacular and at 60fps rocky (sadly I found few bugs here and there but they release patches frequently to solve them). Highly recommended.

    i love everything about this game but the loot its soo damn annoying same **** over and over and over.
    oddseys loot system imo was way better. this game the combat and story and raids are amazing.
    good game but has some big flaws.

    Awesome journey with Eivor. Beautiful graphics and story, atmosphere and gameplay as well. The combat and these finishers - wow! I loved it.

    Assassin's Creed Valhalla takes a step back from it's predecessor in the gameplay aspect but delivers with a great and compelling story. The setting wasn't really my thing unlike Odessey but I still couldn't stop playing. There were too many collectibles though..

    This game is beautiful and fun. Story is good. I enjoy the customization and being able to switch genders fluidly. Loading times are quick on the PS5. I will say that the game feels like a cross-Gen title.

    The best thing about the game is without a doubt the setting. The world graphics are stunning. Gameplay does not offend, does not impress. There is a plethora of items on offer.     "Boring" is a word that describes this game perfectly, if you're a madman and you're trying to complete the game 100% like me. While the game does offer side activities at every turn, the side quests try to carry on the "Witcher" theme, but they don't really succeed.

    By the way, the guy who created the fishing achievement, where you have to catch at least one fish of each kind, surely has a place reserved in helheim.

    Наконец-то что-то про ассасинов. Все стало намного лучше и сюжетно и графически, но очень много багов и слишком много гранда. Ну и ещё в игре есть донат, это плохо

    - Las mecánicas de desplazamiento tanto en caballo como en barco están bastante pulidas

    - Hay unos cuantos glitches - A veces la progresión de la historia (al menos en modo normal) resulta muy sencilla y es casi inevitable si empiezas a hacer las misiones no pasarte con el nivel. Especialmente cuando puedes ralentizar al esquivar cae drásticamente la dificultad

    Es un juego que atrapa, pero no desde el principio. Yo tuve que jugarlo en 2 tramos intercalando otros juegos porque se me hizo pesadisimo tanto punto e icono en el map. Una vez pillas la trama principal en la recta final es cuando se hace más interesante.

    This is the best AC for me. Again Ubisoft create very detailed environments. The map is very good to explore. I love anything from European Medieval and this is right up my street.     The world is lush and feels alive on the PS5 with a decent level of asset diversity with changes in NPC Accents, foliage    Assassin's Creed Valhalla takes a lot from its predecessors, to build on what is a familiar, yet fresh approach to the AC series. There are however a few changes to the traditional game that create a more immersive, organic gameplay experience than previous entries.

    The world is lush and feels alive on the PS5 with a decent level of asset diversity with changes in NPC Accents, foliage type/density, climate and topography. But you will notice a pattern of scripted dialogue, or reactions that are unchanged through every place you visit over time.

    Combat feels great most of the time, but can get frustrating. Whilst it does add extra ‘weight’ to combat, I had difficulty getting used to the slower speed of attacking, parrying and blocking, often pressing a button, only to have my character respond late and miss combos.

    Your conquest of England is split into topple or instate a new leader objectives. This does come with more variety than “Go there, kill the thing, come back” approach from previous games, though that can still happen at times. Some conquests have investigative elements, giving you the opportunity to side with one individual over another to gain the leader’s loyalty. Investigate poorly or accuse incorrectly and you may be in dire straits. Don’t worry, regular autosaves allow you to undo these mistakes, if you’d rather correct them. The push and pull between the Eivor and their brother and his loyalists is an interesting dynamic to navigate. You’ll feel bound to the plot, desperately needing to know what happens next.

    There is SO much to do in Valhalla, even after completing the game. Tandem side missions running in parallel to the Main Quest are excellent and some even transport you to new worlds (I’ll say no more). Throughout the sizeable map you’ll find most icons replaced by dots, which are split by colour into 3 categories - Wealth, Mysteries and Artifacts. Each side pursuit will require a different approach - be it exploration, a retrieve this or protect this, a raid, out of the box thinking or flat out combat and there’s enough variety to not feel like you’re “grinding” to get to the next level, because whilst you do level up, you also receive resources to progress your settlement, allow you to upgrade weaponry or unlock another piece of a unique armour set furthering your badass-ery. 

Some side missions can be failed easily, since a lot of them leave things up to the power of suggestion, without detailing objective information. Annoyingly, once you make a mistake, you are usually unable to complete said mission… In particular anything involving a crate moved from point a to point b was problematic. It would be nice to have the ability to reset World Missions to be able to complete a region when a mistake is made.



    A consistent theme with this saga (Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla) is the developer's inability to fully commit to to the Modern-Day plot and the order of Assassins itself. Both of which are treated like a side-piece now, when they were once considered the very foundation of the game. The lack of connection from future to past within the Modern-Day plot, really removes the layer of believability it once had. Present day scenes are now wafer thin in substance and meaningless contributions that do nothing for the game, other than furthering the present day plot at an excruciatingly slow pace.

    Some glitches were present within the game, I have been launched across the map randomly by a gust of glitch wind, bosses would leave the combat circle and be unable to return, enemies would frequently re-spawn after being killed and ruin a stealth mission, rag-doll physics would occasionally turn corpses into projectiles and combat finishers were performed on thin air.

    I have to mention the huge disparity in the quality of Voice Acting between Male Eivor and Female Eivor. In my experience Female Eivor had the dynamic acting range of a brick, often giving generic, dry delivery for every line with a teaspoon of gravel in every line. I don’t doubt the voice actor’s ability or training in the slightest, but I do get the sense there wasn’t any consistency in the way the actors were directed. 



    Overall, I predominantly focused my gameplay on main missions, with the occasional side quest I came upon in exploration, I managed to sink around 90 hours into the game. The game’s ending opens up huge possibilities for the future of the franchise. This game exceeded my expectations but did still lack some magic ingredients to make it a perfect game. I can’t wait to see where AC takes us next and for Ubisoft to once again raise the bar for this franchise.    … Expand

However itemization of gear is a huge flaw (I never really swapped gear at any point of the game), and towards the end, the majority of side quests, main quests get repetitive (after over 60 hours of game play). Go there, talk to them, go there talk to them, go there kill one person. Still very good

    No había jugando ningún A.C lo compré por ser fanático de la historia vikinga, y realmente me sorprendió. Bastante bueno, se llega a sentir que eres un vikingo, lo recomiendo. Graficas muy buenas y por sobretodo la fluidez de los FPS que te dan una muy buena sensación en el juego.

    This is a good Assassin's Creed title but it has a lot of glitches. first of all the graphics are amazing the map is looking gorgeous and the story is amusing. But.. There are a lot of glitches in this game. The NPC's are pretty broken at some points in the game. But what can u expect from a game this big and long.

    Il gioco si presenta come un misto tra Origins e Odyssey, e nel complesso funziona molto bene. Si apprezza notevolmente il comparto grafico e audio, anche e soprattutto nelle cinematic. La storia tende ad essere tediosa in alcuni punti della trama, semplicemente a causa dei troppi personaggio un po' alla Got, ma alla fine si fa apprezzare bene grazie ad alcune scelte interessanti di trama!

    I enjoyed playing this game. It has a lot of fun mechanics/mode. But the story starts with a bang, then whimpers out midway through (after Suthsexe). The second half story feels a bit like grinding through zones with not much of an overarching story. I would also have liked to see more stealth-focused missions -- like the earlier AC games.

    Great open world game, history accurate and very engaging. Interesting, ambitious script and gameplay. You entirely control the way you want to play it, thus comments saying it's a grind are funny, because someone chose such gameplay. Beautiful vistas, map is very much alive, though cluttered and may scare some.

    I like vikings and this game achieved great immersion when I can just be lost for hundreds of hours in and enjoy every second of it. Music and graphics are amazing! Story is really enjoyable and open world is really big but not hollow.

I just wish they were focused on more about the assassins instead of Vikings. And I wish they kind of calmed down on the fantasy a little bit. But overall the combat I love hope they keep the brutal combat. And future assassin's Creed games also keep the stealth. An want the developers to never forget what made assassin's Creed games unique. I like the Valhalla. But it seem like it struggled what it wanted to be I hope you read this Ubisoft. I like the RPG ones and the OG assassin greed games. I just hope you stick to what it means to be an assassin. And keep the assassin's Creed games unique. I don't really like the fantasy stuff that much it kind of ruins it I like you Ubisoft to make an RPG assassin's Creed game that focus on assassin's and Templars.     It's fix some stuff from Odyssey, but still it drags too long. I think they should focus on those interesting characters and cancel the boring ones. The story is basically you find alliance from different reigon. The combat is fun, but after like 100 hours, it become very fatigue. Overall if you want to kill some time you can play it

I've never played an Assassins Creed game before, but I opted for this game, since I am a huge fan of Norse mythology and for the most, Vikings. So when I bought this game, I had my expectations. 20-30 minutes into the game, most of them had been crushed.

    First of all, playing for more than 5 minutes made me realize that the sound engine in this game is utter trash. For all games I've played, this has to be the worst sound quality and mixing I've ever heard. And no, I didn't have 3D audio on, and my headset is also pretty expensive. The sound quality often just sounded low-res and kind of "away" in a bucket or something. Very frustrating, but didn't stop me from getting the platinum trophy.

    Second. I know about the animus and how the series are build up, ish. But for some reason, I bought this hoping and also thinking that no Animus would appear. But of course, it was, and to be honest, it was just not interesting for me. Not from the beginning, during the story and the end of the story. Nothing seemed like it made sense and it just wasn't interesting.

    Third, the story in a whole is way too long and most of it seemed unnecessary. You have to make alliances with all these regions, which is cool, but they decided to put in 12 or something. Plus 4 "extra worlds/maps". Long story short, this game is simply needlessly too long and makes it along the way boring. Nevertheless.

    Now that it's off my chest, I can focus on what makes it better. Yes, this is a very good Viking game. You have a hometown, where you can kind of build your own town, and from these go be the best Viking. There's raids you can ravage, and exploring you can do. There are so many elements of this game that's actually fun and interesting, but is held back a lot by the whole "Assassins Creed". For me at least.

    Again, long story short. This a pretty damn good Viking game, if Viking actually was in focus. But it simply wasn't for me. And that saddens me. It gets a 7/10, since the Viking part of this game is solid. Otherwise, it would lay around 5/10.    … Expand

    The perfect setup. Right from the first minutes...something was off... I mean..everything was, but *something* wasn't there. Then I had some battles where I was punching a guy and he was sent like 5 meters away, then    I came here directly after Origins (9/10) and the magnificent perfect 10/10 of Odyssey.

    Game have more fps/graphics options on ps5, futher more I really liked the approach UBI soft used to give free next gen upgrade, so even you own a physical disc you can still upgrade a ps4    pretty much decent game with a strong story, level design and graphics. I dont like the Asgard part of the game as it seems bit more like a side story that should have been covered in a separate DLC.

    Valhalla es un AC que coge esencia pero no las implementa en muchos aspectos, el juego aparte de ser repetitivo se te hace extremadamente largo. Divertido pero pesado se podría decir. Lo bueno que tiene Valhalla es que cierra muchas lagunas que tanto Odyssey como Origins tenían, pero esas lagunas las cierran en las ultimas horas de juego. Es mas un viaje vikingo que un propio AC. OdysseyValhalla es un AC que coge esencia pero no las implementa en muchos aspectos, el juego aparte de ser repetitivo se te hace extremadamente largo. Divertido pero pesado se podría decir. It is like a 1000 page book, that you enjoy for the first 500, slug through the next 300 because you actually want to read the conclusion, but you finally quit because it becomes tedious and repetitive, and you want to eventually read other books in your collection...    … Expand

Its biggest downfall is by far is its length, it took me 70 hrs to finish this game. Most people that play an rpg game for that long are simply there to 100% the game, not still trying to finish the main story line. I enjoyed the game at the start and for the first 40 hrs or so, but there seemed to simply be no end in sight at that point and everything started feeling tiring and monotonous. Besides that main problem, this game was teetering on the border of being too glitchy for my liking. Some very annoying bugs appeared here and there, sometimes had to completely reload. For the most part it worked alright, but was a bit of a nuisance at critical moments. The real world story still makes no sense to me (ever since Desmond died in AC III) and feels completely needless on top of the historical saga. The combat I found to be alright, nothing too different than Odyssey or Origins, not the biggest fan of this dark souls combat system either, was too finicky and annoying at times like would often catch on fire or miss the timing of the parries. Overall, this game was a mixed bag for me, it had good elements but was just too freeken long.… Expand

    finally за 90 часов прошёл игру. Порадовали конечно наконец-то юбики, по сравнению с их прошлым высером , эта игра в 10 раз лучше чем одиссей. Приятный , цепляющий герой , боевка прикольная и нету такой хуйни как в одиссее что у обычного бомжа было по миллион хит поинтов, правда со сложностью по итогам беда какая-то , я играл на средней сложности и все бои были слишком легкие. по сути всеfinally за 90 часов прошёл игру. Порадовали конечно наконец-то юбики, по сравнению с их прошлым высером , эта игра в 10 раз лучше чем одиссей. Приятный , цепляющий герой , боевка прикольная и нету такой хуйни как в одиссее что у обычного бомжа было по миллион хит поинтов, правда со сложностью по итогам беда какая-то , я играл на средней сложности и все бои были слишком легкие. по сути все бои против боссов можно было завершать тупо даже не нанеся удара, просто юзая свои скиллы, это как то не очень, но я в принципе не гнался за хардкором поэтому сойдет. Красивая очень карта , понравилось апать деревню , прикол с набегами тоже прикольная фишка, что-то новое я бы даже сказал в игровой индустрии. В целом круто было по кусочкам захватывать англию. Finally вернули death сцены с origins, а то в одиссее было по уебищному, типо убил супер важного чела и убил, правда в этой игре все культисты казались какими-то слишком обычными и не значимыми тут минус для меня был. Диалоги найс , флютинг интересная вещь, орлог тоже придумали интересно.
    Минусы в этой игре, это гринд для меня, ну его слишком уж много, не думаю что кому то в кайф прям настолько много лутатся, вот в ведьмаке допустим его было в меру как по мне.
    Еще минус в синих бонусах, по типу собрать камни, по началу казалось забавным, но потом проведя часов 45 в игре, это уже казалось адом, это печально , ибо мне хотелось закончить везде синие бонуски в каждом регионе, но на это вообще силы сложно найти
    В общем, я бы сказал что это ведьмак на минималках (ну или средних) , хорошая игра, я бы поставил ей 8, но как то я подумал, что вот к примеру дополнения на ведьмака я бы еще на часов 1000 купил, а в acv я всё, я устал, я не вывезу еще больше играть в эту игру,получается что игра все таки не на столько хороша в по моим меркам оценивания, странное ощущение по итогу складывается, в общем 7 с +.    … Expand

The story and the characters were much better than some of the other Assassins games. The leveling and equipment worked well, not sure I liked it more or less than other games, but I liked it nonetheless.

    I don't appreciate being offered gay sex every other scene when I clearly made choices in game to play as a straight guy. If you want to make a gay game, do that, and make it clear that's your agenda. It's creepy to sneak it into games you know kids and straights play.     OK game, my biggest gripe is the length just doing the main story took me 55 hours I think it's too long. Combat is fun and voice acting good. A few times I was playing as male eivor npcs referred to him as a she. A solid game if you have the time.

    Some of the quest lines are a bit boring, but you'll get compensated with the next line in the next region. Grind is not that annoying, however, - without it I would rate the game 9-10. For now it's still Ubisoft's approach.....making money of a poor folks who pay for the stuff they should have    I have to say, don't skip it.

    This is the best AC game since black flag. Good story with some great characters like Ivarr. Absurdly huge. Took 128 hours to do everything in the base game. Combat and atmosphere seems to be inspired by God of War(2018). Medieval England is my favorite setting since Rome in AC: Brotherhood. Beautiful game with a grimy realism. For the first time I can recall there are some real moral choices you have to make that aren't easy, and the game can sometimes become philosophical.

    On the downside the game is very buggy, and even 9 months after release serious bugs exist that can prevent you from fully completing the game. Often my character would turn around completely when aiming with the bow, or get warped to the edge of the game map. Sometimes got stuck in walls. For the entire 2nd expansion my horse refused to run(very annoying). AC: Valhalla was also too wordy. There were far too many cutscenes and too much dialogue with people endlessly yapping about nothing. It's turning into a JRPG with all the bloviating.

    The absolute worst part of the game though is all the terrible puzzles. it seems like every other treasure chest requires you to solve a little puzzle. Some of these require keys, hidden underground entrances, magic entryways, or my favorite, a game of find the hidden explosive urn. A lot of treasure is hidden behind walls that can only be destroyed using explosives, and there will be 1 explosive urn hidden somewhere relatively closeby, but can still take 20 minutes to find. It's very obnoxious and I recommend just using Youtube videos, because there was no gameplay value in wandering around until you stumbled upon the hidden answer. There are also these stacking cairn puzzles where you have to play Jenga with rocks. It too is frustrating and a terrible waste of time in terms of gameplay.    … Expand

    This was my first Assasins Creed game. Some pros and cons:

    PRO - large amount of content - some good variety of quests - good mix of weapon styles and skills - quite pretty - good interpretation of England CONS - large amount of content (100 hours and 2/3 of way through main story with lots skipped) - quests get repetitive because of game size -weapoons get repetitive because of game    This was my first Assasins Creed game. Some pros and cons:

    PRO
    - large amount of content
    - some good variety of quests
    - good mix of weapon styles and skills
    - quite pretty
    - good interpretation of England

    CONS
    - large amount of content (100 hours and 2/3 of way through main story with lots skipped)
    - quests get repetitive because of game size

    - England feels exhausting because of game size

    Overall good game for first 25 hours. Ends up too repetitive and you start to see the flaws within the game. Combat is very flashy but feels clunky af to use. It was designed in a way that makes it look good, sacrificing feeling good. You’ll know what I mean after you’ve played it for 10 or so hours.

    One big positive is the game world looks absolutely beautiful.

With a few years to perfect the engine and really flesh-out what style of game they want to create, Assassin's Creed could soon be a foundational cornerstone of AAA titles. That's the only frustrating part about playing the game -- you feel like your just scratching the surface in terms of story-telling, combat, parkour, and level design.     Decent AC. Too many bugs though, also sometimes looks like a next gen game and then you look at the fire, explosions and some textures and think "my God this looks lime a ps3 game". Also very repetitive, feels a lot like working and not having a good time. Story is meh.

    I think this new AC was a huge step backwards for the franchise. That being said the game was playable and I enjoyed it for the better parts of the game. Impressed by the world, the quests, the awesome random events dotted around the map and the combat systems within the game. Exploration system (Mysteries, Wealth and Artifacts) is a step up from previous games in the serious.

Even the new Yule (Christmas) event introduced in the latest patch which consists of hardly any content (So can't have been that tough to test) is quite buggy.

    If you're a gamer looking for a solid RPG similar to Origins/Odyssey and don't mind a few bugs go right again. If you are a completionist who enjoys ticking those trophies/achievements off then be warned several of them are either impossible or incredibly frustrating to completely as a result of bugs.    … Expand

    There are two competing experiences here: that as as Assassin, and that as a Viking, that either on its own feels like it might have been a triumph and better than this good but not great Assass-king hybrid we have.

    Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla effortlessly plants its banner as the best open world RPG available for the new consoles. This Viking epic flexes its gore-soaked, tattooed muscles when it comes to world-building, and medieval England wows with its enchanting untamed vistas. It’s also portioned out at a steady pace and, if not for the repetitive, limited combat, Valhalla could have ranked even higher among our favourite games in the series.

    Is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla the best entry in the series yet? Some would be tempted to say so. While the map size might overwhelm some players, it remains an easy game to mainline with the right navigation mode turned on. In fact, the quick load times help to make this an even easier task than in previous generations. This is an iteration of Assassin’s Creed that has a bit of everything from the previous games, as refined as we have seen to date.
